Connectivity refers to linking people and resources through computer networks. Topology defines the connections between nodes in a network, with arcs connecting nodes that share a common point. Connectivity groups are used to model multimodal transportation systems by selecting network sources that interconnect within the same group, such as metro lines and entrances in a subway and street network. Connectivity functions evaluate characteristics of contiguous spatial units that form unbroken groups by sharing connections with adjacent units.
