Theories on the Job & Your Future - A Message to UndergraduatesBrian Swanick
This is from my lecture with USF (University of South Florida) on March 7, 2017.
I share the principles and learnings from my own experience as a recent college graduate with seemingly nothing to offer. I figured out how to find a niche as a consultant and generally be pretty happy in a short 7 years :) (with struggles along the way)
Hopefully this helps you fast-track your own undergraduate career.
Securing links can be tough, and it's not about how creative or productive or smart we are, but how persuasive we are. Kirsty will walk you through how to get clients and managers to say yes to your best ideas, how to get interesting, affordable data, how to get experts to collaborate with you, and how to create outreach emails that compel people to cover your campaign.
Many marketers are banging their heads against the wall
wondering why influencers won’t return their emails or
promote their programs. The reason? Small mistakes can often have a big impact.
To help make your influencer marketing a winner, we have tapped 15 top marketing influencers for reasons they've not responded to a request and included 25 ways to help you win.

How To Effectively Use Storytelling in Your Business & LifeMatt Ragland
Story is the most powerful medium we can communicate ideas, values, and culture to a group of people. Yet we tend to lean on the crutch of data, charts, and analytics, ignoring the way we've shared ideas with each other for thousands of years.
The main reason is that we forget what elements make up a great story, and how to tell it. Telling a great story can get even trickier when we're talking about our work and the message we're communicating to customers.
In this talk, I share different story structures and elements you can apply in your life and work, and examples of how successful companies are telling great stories. You'll hear from storytellers like Joseph Campbell, Donald Miller, Pixar, and more.

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.
