The document describes the creation of the world over six days according to the Book of Genesis in the Bible. On each day, God created a different aspect of the world: on days one and two, light, sky and sea; on days three and four, dry land, plants and stars/sun; on days five and six, living creatures like fish, birds, animals and finally humans. God saw that each creation was good. The sixth day ends with God creating humankind in God's own image and instructing them to have dominion over all other living creatures.
Conflict is a sharp disagreement. It should be resolved as soon as possible. People will never accept your achievement. There will always be a conflict of interest and acknowledgment.
How life on earth originated is still a riddle. Earlier religious scriptures tried to explain it but was not found satisfactory in the light of present scientific knowledge. In this presentation Quranic view of origin of living being on earth is presented.
The intense thought-from evil information steer up the evil feelings. Feelings rises and falls, but the stain it leaves in the mind is sin. It (stain or sin), transgress the law in the mind (Heb 8-10), benumb and blunted the reasoning ability in mind. Animal flesh eater, alcoholic-people who drink strong drinks, increases human feeling to higher capacity. If the thought imagined evil information, already attached stain, quickly steer up the animal feelings and leave the new additional stain in the mind. The stain (sin) become the kerosene, to steer it in continuous cycles till the wages for it, people find death.
THE SEAL OF GOD WILL HARDLY PLACE IN THE MIND OF FLESH EATER, PEOPLE WHO DRINK STRONG DRINK AND PEOPLE WHO ENTERTAINING THEIR MIND WITH ALL SORTS OF PLEASURES-MUSIC, VIDEOS, TV, ETC.; BECAUSE THESE ACTIVITIES CONTRIBUTE TO RISE HUMAN DIRTY FEELING TO ITS HIGH RATE AND FASTENED IT HIGH IN THE MIND. IT WILL HARDLY REDUCE DOWN-UNLESS PERSON STOPS EATING MEAT, STRONG DRINK AND ENTERTAINING MIND WITH PLEASURES. THEREFORE, WITH SUCH MINDED PEOPLE, GOD WILL HARDLY PLACE HIS SEAL IN THEIR MIND.

The nārāyaṇīyam (pronounced naaraayaneeyam or IPA: [nɑːrɑːjəɳiːjəm]) condenses the Bhagavata Purana into 1034 verses, divided into one hundred dasakam, or cantos. The work occupies a very high place in Sanskrit literature, both because of the intense devotional fervour of the verses, and because of their extraordinary literary merit. Thenārāyanīyam is one of the most popular religious texts in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, and devout Hindus often recite it together in festivals and groups.
Nārāyanīyam is the story of Lord Narayana. It is a work consisting of 1034 slokas or verses, divided into 100 dasakams or chapters, each dasakam consisting of approximately 10 slokas. It is a condensed version of Bhagavata Purana, which consists of 18,000 slokas authored by Veda Vyasa. It is said that the work has the blessings of Lord Krishna or Guruvayoorappan, the presiding Deity of Guruvayur.
Narayaneeyam narrates a series of episodes from the Bhagavata Purana, choosing the most pious of the lot. The incarnations of Vishnu are traced with piety, Bhattathiri transforms the episodes into solemn prayers, pouring out his soul in total supplication before the Lord. The final dasaka, Kesadipaada Varnanam, embodies top-to-toe picture of little Krishna in all grace and glory .
Both as a poem and as a devotional hymn, Narayaneeyam occupies a very high place in Sanskrit literature.
Narayaneeyam is the master piece of Melpathur and is the most widely read of all his works. The poet depicts the image of Lord Guruvayurappan, in exemplary terms - "Sammohanam Mohanal Kantham Kanthinidhanathopi, Madhuram Madhurya Dhuryadapi, Soundaryotharathopi Sundaratharam"
The ‘Parayana' of Narayaneeyam is believed to possess the wonderful power of healing afflictions, both mental and physical, of the devotees. The "Nithyaparayana” of Narayaneeyam will enable the devotees to attain " Ayurarogyasoukhyam”.
Narayaneeya Sapthaham ( the recitation of Narayaneeyam and explaining the meaning to the public) is conducted in Guruvayur temple by Devaswom on the Narayaneeya Dinam and by others as offerings. It is done for seven consecutive days from early morning till 6.10 pm in the evening. Narayaneeya Sapthaham has started in Guruvayur in the early 50's. It takes about 5 hours to read the slokas and about 45 hours for explaining the slokas.
The day on which Narayaneeyam was completed, 28th Vrichikam, is celebrated by the Devaswom as Narayaneeyam day. Discourses and debates on Narayaneeyam written by Melpathur take place. Special functions are held at Melpathur Illapparambu also.

The Meaning of the Qur'an is a fresh English rendering of Tafhim-ul-Qur’an, Maulana Syed Abu Ala Moududi’s monumental and masterly Urdu translation of the Qur’an and a selection of his commentary. The translator has undertaken the delicate and difficult task of rendering this work in English under the guidance of the Maulana himself. Here is a work with a difference, by a dedicated scholar of an entirely different sort. An immense wealth of profound understanding of the Qur’an is here, a vast treasure of knowledge and deep insight, and a valuable exposition of some social, political, economic and legal teachings of the Qur’an.
This comprehensive Tafsir answers contemporary questions, and makes the Qur’an fully relevant to the concerns of day, yet it loses nothing of its timelessness nor sacrifices any of the traditional understanding. It demonstrates the unity and coherence of the Qur’an by centring everything on its message, like gems hung on a single string.

Bible Readings for Module/Week 2
Parable of the Wheat and Tares
Jesus told them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
"The owner's servants came to him and said, 'Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?'
"'An enemy did this,' he replied.
"The servants asked him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'
"'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'" (Matthew 13:24–30)
Knowledge and wisdom
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7)
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise. (Psalm 111:10)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the LORD and shun evil. (Proverbs 3:3–7)
Problem with the World (Sin)
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned. (Romans 5:12)
As it is written, "There is none righteous, not even one.” (Romans 3:10)
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
Strength
Strength in God, Not in Man
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength. (I Corinthians 1:25)
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13)
God Demonstrates His Strength in Our Weakness
Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are. (I Corinthians 1:26–28)
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (II Corinthians 12:9–11)
The Strong are to Help the Weak
We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. ...

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

5. [1:1] In the beginning when God created the heavens and the
earth,
[1:2] the earth was a formless void and darkness covered the face
of the deep, while a wind from God swept over the face of the
waters.
[1:3] Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.
[1:4] And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the
light from the darkness.
[1:5] God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.
And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
[1:6] And God said, "Let there be a dome in the midst of the
waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters."
6. [1:7] So God made the dome and separated the waters that were under
the dome from the waters that were above the dome. And it was so.
[1:8] God called the dome Sky. And there was evening and there was
morning, the second day.
[1:9] And God said, "Let the waters under the sky be gathered together
into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so.
[1:10] God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were
gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
[1:11] Then God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation: plants yielding
seed, and fruit trees of every kind on earth that bear fruit with the seed
in it." And it was so.
[1:12] The earth brought forth vegetation: plants yielding seed of every
kind, and trees of every kind bearing fruit with the seed in it. And God
saw that it was good.
[1:13] And there was evening and there was morning, the third day.
7. [1:14] And God said, "Let there be lights in the dome of the sky to
separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for
seasons and for days and years,
[1:15] and let them be lights in the dome of the sky to give light upon
the earth." And it was so.
[1:16] God made the two great lights - the greater light to rule the day
and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars.
[1:17] God set them in the dome of the sky to give light upon the earth,
[1:18] to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light
from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
[1:19] And there was evening and there was morning, the fourth day.
[1:20] And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living
creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the dome of the sky."
8. [1:21] So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature
that moves, of every kind, with which the waters swarm, and every
winged bird of every kind. And God saw that it was good.
[1:22] God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the
waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth."
[1:23] And there was evening and there was morning, the fifth day.
[1:24] And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures of every
kind: cattle and creeping things and wild animals of the earth of every
kind." And it was so.
[1:25] God made the wild animals of the earth of every kind, and the
cattle of every kind, and everything that creeps upon the ground of
every kind. And God saw that it was good.
9. [1:26] Then God said, "Let us make humankind in our
image, according to our likeness; and let them have
dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of
the air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals
of the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps
upon the earth."
[1:27] So God created humankind in his image, in the
image of God he created them; male and female he
created them.
10. [3:1] Now the serpent was more crafty than any other wild
animal that the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, "Did
God say, 'You shall not eat from any tree in the garden'?"
[3:2] The woman said to the serpent, "We may eat of the fruit of
the trees in the garden;
[3:3] but God said, 'You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is
in the middle of the garden, nor shall you touch it, or you shall
die. '"
[3:4] But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not die;
[3:5] for God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be
opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."
[3:6] So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and
that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be
desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and she also
gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate.
11. [3:7] Then the eyes of both were opened, and they
knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig
leaves together and made loincloths for
themselves.
[3:8] They heard the sound of the LORD God
walking in the garden at the time of the evening
breeze, and the man and his wife hid themselves
from the presence of the LORD God among the
trees of the garden.
[3:9] But the LORD God called to the man, and said
to him, "Where are you?"
12. God said to the angels, “Bow down to
Adam” (They did so in a form of respect,
not worship).
13. When God ordered the angels and those in
their company to bow down to Adam, they
all did so except Satan, who refused out of
pride and arrogance, claiming to be better
than Adam because he was created from
fire, whereas Adam was created from clay.
Indeed, Satan was the first racist
(discriminatory).
14. • « A sharp disagreement, as of
interests or ideas » (Webster)
15. • A battle, contest or opposing forces existing
between primitive desires and moral, religious
or ethical ideas ( Webster’s Dictionary)
• A state of incompatibility of ideas between two
or more parties or individuals
Conflict management is the practice of identifying

19. Fatima, the Typist (Cont’d)
Most of Samina’s and Razia’s work is straight
typing of reports yet they have a considerable
number of errors. Fatima on the other hand is
usually given heavy statistical data and her
work is practically errorless.
What do you think of Fatima’s performance?

making that allows for a greater
variety and scope of outcomes than
a rigid either/or decision making
process. This approach is useful
when comparing two or more
possible tracks or outcomes in a
real world setting.”
