The landed cost feature in Odoo 15 allows to include additional costs (shipment, insurance, customs duties, etc.) into the cost of the product. It allows the users to reduce the unwanted losses arising in the company's operations. The Odoo15 platform which is the most widely used enterprise and resource planning software across the world helps the user to manage this problem. In the platform, the user can avail of the option to use landed cost which can be integrated with the cost price on the products available. You can calculate the additional cost both on manufacturing orders and transfers.

2. INTRODUCTION
❖ The Landed cost of the product is considered as the aggregate amount included in
bringing a product to the buyer's warehouse aside from the product cost.
❖ That means this is the total amount of the product after finishing off all the required
procedures that are needed for getting the products.It is the integrating of additional
costs to products.
❖ The Landed Costs feature in the Odoo platform will allow you to include all the
additional costs that will include all the purchasing costs such as the purchase amount,
amount of the product, shipment, insurance, custom duties, service charges, currency
conversions, transportation fee and many other aspects.
❖ The landed cost can be calculated based on your company specifications. So it may
differ from one company to another based on the company policies, specifications and
product type.

3. ❖ Goto Inventory module > Configuration > Product Categories

4. ❖ Select/Create a new category and set it’s costing method as FIFO and inventory
valuation as Automated

5. ❖ And set this product category for the product. Here these product have on hand quantity as 0.

6. ❖ So let’s create purchase order for these products and confirm your order and RECEIVE
PRODUCTS.

7. ❖ VALIDATE the delivery.

8. ❖ Coming back to the purchase order, create bill and CONFIRM the bill.

9. ❖ So if you need to add additional cost like transportation charge etc you can enable the
landed cost option from Configuration > Settings.

10. ❖ Enable Landed Costs option and SAVE the changes.

11. ❖ The various sorting options (Filters, Group By, Favourite search) in the platform allow
you to easily identify the required data from the whole list.

12. ❖ Click CREATE button for creating new landed cost.

13. ❖ Now let’s look into how to apply landed cost in transfer. So select your Delivery order and
Vendor bill. Under Additional costs tab enter the product select split method and enter additional
cost then COMPUTE

14. ❖ After compute under Valuation Adjustments tab the additional charge equally splitted and
added to each products based on our equal split method. You can change the split method
and each time you have to click on COMPUTE button for calculating price.

15. ❖ After validating, from Valuation smart button we can re evaluate the value of product.
