The document describes a proposed mobile app called "The De-Boredinator" that would help people overcome boredom. 2. Who? People who are bored and need something to do. Anyone who is
bored can use the app, regardless of age.
What? The app would have categories to chose from (e.g. Outside games,
Cooking, Indoor Games and Challenges) . There would also be
sections where you can choose task by how it takes to do them (on
average). You can also get a random task by spinning a wheel.
When? When the user of the app is bored and has nothing to do, or when
they want a challenge, or when they want something to do with
friends.
Where? Wherever the person is bored. There would be tasks for outside, or
inside.
Why? Because it is a problem people encounter on a daily basis and we
want to solve this. By creating this app, we can make this happen.

The Core Question we are
addressing is ‘How can we help
People overcome their Boredom?’
We want to address this problem
because as teens we know people
struggle with this and we want to
provide them an answer.

5. Key Insights Gained in Scoping
We gained many valuable insights from our
scoping process. We found that people get bored
easily, and often one reason that accounts for this
is the fact that they don’t know what to do to stop
being bored. The De-Boredinator can provide a
way for people to stop being bored by combatting
this problem.

We intergrated a very good idea from
Lewis’ questionnaire that was making
categories for the task that will be done.
There will now be categories for the time
length and the type of task you want to do
(e.g. Outdoors, Cooking)

10. The De-Boredinator prototype was made by the two girls in
the group, Cara and Olivia. It was made using powerpoint.

12. We think that the deboredinator will be able to be made. One feature that maybe
hard to make would be the fact that it has to give random tasks, although this
could be overcome by it only reading off a list – seemingly at random. This could
be sussed out if the app was being used by a group of friends.
