The person I am going to analyse in this assignment is Aileen Lee Carol Wuornos
who was considered to be the first American female serial killer (Anon., 2015).
Wuornos was born on February 29th 1956 in Rochester Michigan (Anon., 2015).
Her father, Leo Dale Pittman was an alleged child molester and her mother Diane
Wuornos was a teen mother who was not capable of taking up the responsibilities
that came about with being a mother (Anon., 2015). Wuornos mother abandoned
both her and her brother when they were young leaving them in the care of their
grandparents (Anon., 2015). Her grandmother was an alcoholic whereas her
grandfather abused her both physically and sexually (Anon., 2015). At the young
age of eleven, Aileen Wuornos began trading sexual favours for money, beer and
even cigarettes (Anon., 2015). This also allowed her to be able to be part of
cliques and have a sense of belonging. On March 1971, when she was fourteen she
gave birth to her only child whom she gave up for adoption (Anon., 2015). At that

years. As a student, I doubt I can add to the debate, but I can look at the facts and
come to my own conclusion.

Using the spatial approach methodology, the effects of climate change on the
agricultural sector can be determined through the differences between the type of
land, agricultural production and other regional variables that relate the climate to the

Abstract This paper presents unified power quality conditioner (UPQC) which is an
integration of shunt and series Active Power Filters and aims to compensate for
voltage sag, voltage and current unbalance and other power quality problems
[1],[5],[6]. The UPQC helps to improve power quality at the point of installation
on power distribution system or industrial power system. This paper deals with
design of UPQC by considering a controller based on PQ theory. Reference signal
generation for shunt active filter is done by using PQ theory while for series dual
PQ theory is used [2], [3]. Reference signals are then applied to pulse generators.
Pulse generation is carried out by using hysteresis band controller for each filter. The
validation of proposed scheme is carried out by using Matlab/Simulink.

Stephen Paulsen. Stephen Paulsen is the high school Pastor at Venture Christian

As the story develops in The Flying Circus, the diction being used in the story
changes. All of the characters seem to have a greater and more optimistic outlook
on life by the end of the novel, which is apparent through the words chosen to
describe their emotions and actions. In the beginning, most of the word usage
describes the loss, pain, and fear that Henry is feeling. An example of the gloomy
and dark tone that is present at the beginning of the story is when the author states,
his insides were full of slithering black snakes of dread (Crandall, p.182). But, as

hopeful about his future as opposed to merely running from his past. Even with
small things such as descriptions or observations, the tone seems lighter by the end

Bride uses a variety of techniques from acting technique, cinematography, narrative
structure, the potential for societal impact, style, genre, and sound to reveal a satire

Performing Arts provides an impressive adaptation of Samuel Beckett s original
work. First off, the Irish theatrical troupe, Gare St Lazare, is one of the foremost
specialist on Beckett s work, which includes modern interpretations of his work in
Waiting for Godot. This production combines a strong does of slapstick comedy,
which is typically found in the way Vladimir (Nathan Lane) and Estragon (Bill
Irwin) are often seen physically interacting with each other when taking off boots,
running about the circular stage, and other back slapping styles of Laurel and
Hardy methods of interaction. In comparison, Beckett s play tends to reveal the
absurdity of poverty of the two men, which is depicted in a more serious depiction

legitimacy to the throne via hitting all the right notes in his statement to the current

The Exclusionary rule, as defined in our Criminal Justice Book: 7e, is the principle
that illegally obtained evidence must be excluded from trial. If any evidence, that
falls within the field of the exclusionary rule, is found that would otherwise not have
been found by law enforcements, the rule applies to linked evidence found and all
the evidence after. This after evidence is often referred as fruit of the poisonous tree.
The exclusionary ruleis also looked at in a way to block law enforcement officers
from handling searches and/or seizures, a violation of the fourth amendment, possibly

A microbe is described in the dictionary as a microorganism, especially a bacterium
causing disease or fermentation. The thought of these bacteria make some people
shudder; the thoughts of unseen enemies crawling on surfaces and primary areas of
life. To prevent the spread an overgrowth of the organisms, we as a race have
invented and developed many innovations. Although these fears are justified, could it
be that these microbes we fear so much, exist in greater numbers within us than on
our daily environmental surfaces. If samples were taken from different areas on a
college campus that are assumed to be dense with bacteria, would the intensity of
growth be greater than samples taken from the human body?

The epic poem Beowulf, was written sometime in the eighth century by an
unknown author. It was based on legend passed down over time. Prior to the time
the poem was written, Anglo Saxons had converted from Germanic Paganism to
Christianity. Some people argue that it was a Pagan poem rewritten by a person or
persons educated in Christianity. has come down from heathen times and acquired
its Christian character gradually and piecemeal from a succession of minstrels. (

The poet used Christianity and paganism as a tool for his poem. It is through such
a blending that there was available to a poet who set out to write a poem,.... on a
scale and plan unlike a minstrel s lay, both new faith and new learning (or
education), and also a body of native tradition (itself requiring to be learned) for the
changed mind to contemplate together. The native learning cannot be denied in the
case of Beowulf. (Tolkien 26). The character Beowulf embodied the Pagan heroic
code (comitatus), but he also exhibited Christian values. Overall, he was a warrior
and a hero who sought fame and reputation. Most of his actions were motivated by
his desire to be remembered after his death as a courageous and loyal warrior.
When Beowulf hears about Hrothgar s trouble he goes to help him. He wants to
help him for a few reasons, all of which relate to the comitatus. He wants to acquire
fame and he wants lifelong honor. By beating Grendel he would receive honor and
his reputation would be enhanced. Also, Beowulf wants to repay Hrothgar for
settling a feud for his father years before. Beowulf is willing to do battle for the old
king even though it means that he could die. When Boewulf faces off against Grendel
s mother, and later when he fights the dragon it is revenge that he is after. The Pagan
