Sexual Revolution
Sexual Revolution Evolution Intimacy is not free in the modern world. Political change, social change,
systems of oppression, and globalization all contribute to the shape and to the limit of people s
intimate lives. The oppressive regulation of marriage and sexuality by states and cultures can really
affect intimacy and incite sexual revolutions.
In feminist studies Professor Leila Rupp s lecture, Tickell and Peck were cited as defining
globalization as a notion based on an increasingly borderless market, where market rules and
competitive logics predominate. In another lecture, Rupp stated that sexual revolutions are linked to
and caused by: globalization, economic forces, technology and culture. Rupp expresses that many

As stated in lecture, Sodomy laws are very vague laws that deem any sexual activity that is unnatural
is unlawful. Many homosexuals have been victims of this oppressive legislation because
homosexuality can be interpreted as an act of sodomy, and act of abnormality. In regards to the 1986
Bowers v. Hardwick Supreme Court decision which upheld Georgia s sodomy law, Georgia s attorney
general stated, It is the very act of homosexual sodomy that epitomizes moral delinquency. A gay
couple arrested in their own home because they were having sexual relations that were deemed
unnatural in the eyes of legislators is the epitome of political oppression. Restrictions on intimacy in
private are ridiculousness at its climax. As Rupp confirms, States have an interest in sexuality: because
there is a complex relationship between law and culture; what seems private is not.
In addition to the Georgia sodomy case, there has been other legislative oppression that constricts
intimacy, and intervenes on individual s private lives. In Malawi for example, a gay couple had a
public engagement celebration and were arrested and face fourteen years in prison. Displaying love
for a companion that is seen as against the norm can place people in prison, and sometimes killed. For
example, in Iraq there have been murders of men suspected of being gay and also, the death penalty
has been proposed in Uganda for

Jerome Idaho Business Analysis
The City of Jerome Idaho was known as the forty third County in the forty third State of the United
States of American. It was created in 1919 from what they call the parent counties of Gooding,
Minidoka and Lincoln counties. In the 1880 s Jerome county was actually known as Alturas County,
one which no longer exists. As for the name of Jerome, there is a difference of option as to where that
came from. Some believe Jerome was named after the son of W. S. Kuhn whose name was Jerome
Kuhn. He had purchased some property known as North Side, from a Frank Buhl. Jerome had planned
on building a town site there on North Side. But then again on the other side are those who believe
that Jerome was named after Jerome Hill, a man who was commissioned ... Show more content on

While working in the different schools as a substitute teacher, I learned what schools had the highest
level of students with special needs in spelling, and math. These kids were taken out of class to work
with me on a one on one level helping to try and get them caught up in spelling, sounds and how to
read, as well as math. It was amazing to see kids that were in the second grade not knowing there
sounds or being able to add and subtract math correctly. They were in second grade on a first grade
reading/math levels. I also worked in schools that had the highest level of kids in reading and math.
Why such a split? The way the school are set up, you would actually think that the location of the
schools verses the issues within the school would be flipped. When substituting at the charter school I
found out that they have a higher than average poverty level at their school, where 73% of the children
in the school receive free lunches, which is up from 2013 at 65%. Our neighboring Twin Falls county
school district runs at a 55% with their charter school runs as low as 28% for free lunches. It is hard to
figure out the reasons behind why the poverty levels are so high. This is a farming community and we
have a lot of migrants that come in and work. This is an understandable issue with the kids needing to
learn English, but not for the kids that are non immigrants, but then again it

The Process Of Updating Research And Cite-Checking
A. Updating Research and Cite Checking Cite checking is usually the last step of your research. Never
overlook this critical step! Citation services catalogue information about how points of law in a case
or statute are treated by later cases and secondary sources. Attorneys use citators to make sure that a
case they want to use is current and useful law. The process of using citators to check your research is
called cite checking or Shepardizing. The law being cite checked is called the cited authority. Any
subsequent law that mentions the cited authority is listed in the citator as a citing authority. Citing
authorities are divided into several positive or negative categories, depending on whether the citing
authority ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, a state appellate court cannot overrule the U.S. Supreme Court on a federal
constitutional issue. The hierarchy of judicial authority matters in research and it should be considered
when citing and cite checking. It is important to know that citators list all citing authorities within a
cited case, regardless of whether those citing authorities are found in the holding or the dicta.
Therefore, note what the citing authority says about your case, and where the citing authority uses the
case within its discussion. Many of the citing authorities are found in dicta, and therefore cannot be
controlling law. Also, the authorities may be only peripherally connected with the principle of law in
your case. Also note whether the citing authority is in the body of the opinion or if it appears in the
key notes or headnotes. Remember that headnotes and keynotes are not standards of the law, but only
summaries and case finders added by the research service. In addition to listing cases that cite your
target authority, citators also list secondary sources such as treatises, journals, and law reviews. With
these sources, citators help expand your research. Cite checking sources are the modern way to check
authorities. Before computer assisted legal research was invented, most attorneys updated their
research using books. Shepard s Citators, published as a series of cumulative volumes was the

Becoming An Adequate Writer
Learning to be an adequate writer is something I strive for but don t feel I have yet accomplished. In
the past, I can remember spending countless hours sitting and thinking what I should write about. I
think my biggest problem is figuring out how to actually put on paper what I am thinking. I am also
concerned that the paper I write will not fully express what I am actually trying to say. I have found
that if I am in a situation where I have to think of something on the spot or I am timed, I feel very
overwhelmed and freeze up. However, I feel one of my strengths would be that I feel fairly
comfortable with the rules of grammar and I enjoy that part of English. I can remember in high school
I always did really well on my grammar test

Better Mental Health Care Will Stop Senseless Shootings...
Gun control is a topic which has become highly politicized. Mental health is an issue that many people
do not understand. The correlation between these two issues is one that many do not see. Shootings
have been on the rise and no one can come up with a good reason why. That is where these two
seemingly different issues become something that has more in common than most can see. For gun
related violence, and violence in general, what is a good method of dealing with these issues and
saving lives? Mental health care improvement or gun control?
To get a better idea of the two different options and what they may look like, one has to look at the
history. The history provides a basis for what has happened with this particular issue in ... Show more

Lobotomies, which are surgical procedures that cut and scrape different connections in the brain, were
very common practice. They were thought to help cure mental illness, but often ended up causing
more damage than good.
Dorthea Dix, a well known name in the psychology field, was a major contributor to improving the
quality of life for those that were in institutions. She was a volunteer at a hospital during the civil war
and realized the horrendous treatment to the patients.
The realization that people did better when they were in their own environment, as opposed to a
mental institution was a major turning point in the treatment of the mentally ill. This was the time of
deinstitutionalization, realizing that individuals would thrive outside of the institution. An article in the
Washington Post gives the shocking statistics The number of Americans with intellectual disabilities
who live in large state institutions declined by 85 percent between 1965 and 2009 (Pollack). By
putting mentally ill individuals back into a more normal environment their cognitive abilities were
improved as well as their treatment. They were treated as real individuals not as just another patient.
Outpatient treatment centers became the main provider of services for the mentally ill. While
deinstitutionalization is a good thing, it can also have some negative pitfalls. A large

The Decision Making Process Criteria
ALTERNATIVE APPROACH In retrospect, if the following leadership decision making process
criteria would have been followed many children would not have been exposed to molestation. The
Freeh report (2012) made more than 100 recommendations for change to be instituted by PSU
including restructuring governance; administration and general counsel structure, policies and
procedures. Additionally, the university culture needs to transform stressing values and ethics based
decision making. A process adjustment is required for compliance, risk and misconduct reporting. The
athletic department must be integrated into an oversight and compliance process by the leadership.
The programs involving children require greater management leadership with frequent accountability
process to be established. Ultimately, the leadership itself that was involved in the case should be
transitioned. Another primary recommendation of the report was to appoint an ethics officer to serve
as counsel to the President and board on ethics issues and alignment with Penn State Principles. The
officer is to establish a council and select a Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) with whom ethics
initiatives are synchronized. The goal of this council is to emphasize and practice transparency at all
levels while communicating openly and frequently with the university around issues. The university
was also asked to establish the Penn State Rock Ethics Institute. The Ethics Officer

Why College Is Important To Me Research Paper
In today s society, going to college is very important to me especially. This is because many different
jobs require some type of college degree. For me particularly, I need a four year college degree to do
what I would like to do, which is, nursing. Although there were thousands of colleges to choose from,
Northwest Florida State College seemed to be the perfect fit for me because of all my personal
reasons, for example, smaller classes, close to home which helps me and my family saves money, and
has an outstanding nursing program.
There are many different reasons I believe Northwest Florida State College was right for me. First
example is I was looking for a college that had smaller class sizes. Smaller class sizes help me put
tremendously, In a small class I am able to focus better, make friends easier, find noble study groups,
and helps me spend more time engaging with the professor. Also, coming from a small high school, I
knew I would feel more at comfortable in a small class setting. Overall, I knew a smaller class size

The Payment System Used For Settlement Of Retail Payment...
In this competitive era, it is imperative for a well functioning economy to imply effective methods for
businesses to pay their employees, suppliers and investors, for households to purchase goods and
services, and for governments to collect taxes and make payments, such as pensions and interest on
bonds. These payments, known as retail or low value payments include debit and credit card
transactions, cheques and direct entry transactions (Hunt Terry 2014). In order to improve the
efficiency of the payment system, Reserve Bank of Australia introduced a new settlement
arrangement. The new same day settlement system would increase the rate of supply of funds and
reduce the risks associated with deferred net payment system. The ... Show more content on

According to the Reserve Bank of Australia (2015), large value payments are settled one by one on a
real time gross settlement (RTGS) basis, while retail payments (which make up to 10% of the value of
RITS interbank settlement) are settled on a net settlement basis. However, for several years, net
clearing was undertaken after hours of tallying ADIs deposited amounts during the day. The ADIs
would calculate the net amounts each of them owed to one another to settle their obligations on
payment orders. Only then, the RBA would be advised of the cleared net obligations and the
transferring of ES funds would take place the next day at 9 A.M. Although this system, referred to as
deferred net payment system(DNS) handles very large payment orders deposited each day by net
clearing to reduce the amount of funds ADIs have to pay for settlement of obligations(Hunt Terry
2014), the payments are still deferred until the next day. This phenomenon generally poses a
disadvantage of settlement risk (an ADI might default on their obligations). Moreover, if an ADI was
unable to settle their obligations due to insufficient funds, the whole settlement process would be
delayed. The longer the period between settlements, the larger these credit exposures could become,
and the greater the opportunity for an institution to default on these obligations (Fraser Gatty 2014).
Hence, the payment system board decided to make a

Sartre’s Existentialism in Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for...
Sartre s Existentialism in Samuel Beckett s Waiting for Godot
Critics often misunderstand the quintessence of Sartre s philosophy.
Jean Paul Sartre, in his lecture Existentialism is Humanism, remarks that
existence precedes essence (2), that is, man first materializes and then
searches for a purpose an essence. Samuel Beckett, through his play Waiting
for Godot, affirms Sartre s core argument. Misinterpreting Godot, critic Edith
contends that it differs fundamentally from Sartre s philosophy; Kern
acknowledges the existential elements within Godot, but argues incorrectly
that the play is primarily about the absurdity of the human condition (Kern
47). Despite Beckett s minimalist approach to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lucky blurts: Given the existence [...] of a personal God quaquaquaqua with
white beard [...] who from the heights of [...] divine aphasia loves us dearly
(148). The quaquaqua in Lucky s speech may have more meaning when seen
in the context of the original French version of Godot quoi in French means
what. As subtle as the reference is, by repeating what Becket questions the
existence of God. Mentioning the white beard is of most importance;
Vladimir later learns, by way of the messenger boy, that Godot has a white
beard. In a play that revolves around the nuance of language, such an apparent
link must mean that Beckett intends for Godot to be a metaphor for God. The
divine aphasia comment relates to the medical state of aphasia, in which an
individual cannot speak coherently. Claiming that God has aphasia is Beckett s
way of mocking monotheism a path that is very popular among existential
philosophers and authors. Bert States argues that Beckett is less interested in
endorsing a God, or in denying his existence, than in imitating the enigma of
the God idea (States 55). States claims that Beckett attempts to illustrate the
paradoxical question of the existence of God, and does not seek an answer.
Although partially accurate in that Beckett does endeavor to imitate the
idea of God through the metaphor

The Complications Associated With Diabetes Mellitus ( Dm )
Abstract This paper explores the complications associated with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) including
altered tissue perfusion. Altered tissue perfusion occurs as a result of DM and can cause many
complications such as diabetic foot ulcers. Although altered tissue perfusion is not the only cause of
ulcers, it contributes to the acceleration and degeneration of tissue once an ulcer forms. This paper
also covers nursing diagnoses, individualized nursing interventions, patient and treatment goals as
well as evaluation of outcomes, associated with an actual patient. I was able to treat a patient with
hyperglycemia within my critical care clinical experience. It also covers the psychosocial concepts
that influence teaching readiness, growth and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Small arteries in diabetic patients experience changes due to increased atherosclerosis. Tissue
perfusion depends upon fasting plasma glucose and fasting insulin levels which are also dependent
upon how sensitive the patient is to the insulin. Increased permeability to large molecules such as
albumin is increased in diabetes, which can be associated with hyperglycemia (Levy, et al., 2008).
Studies have shown patients with type 2 diabetes experience decreased coronary flow which is related
to hemoglobin A1C and fasting plasma glucose levels (Marketou, et al., 2008). Mild insulin resistance
can also be associated with a decrease in coronary flow. In addition, a decrease in myocardial
perfusion in diabetic patients is related to decreased blood flow. An impairment in peripheral
circulation leads to ischemia, which is associated with pain in the lower legs called intermittent
claudication, which may result in lacerations of the feet (Levy, et al., 2008). Peripheral vascular
disease (PVD) can cause thrombosis of the arteries causing tissue death. Gangrene from Diabetes
Mellitus (DM) can lead to amputations beginning in the toes and moving into the foot (Lemone,
Burke, Bauldoff, 2011).
Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that has become an epidemic as it effects more and more the
population each year. DM is a group of metabolic diseases, stemmed from the Endocrine systems,

Research Paper On Smartphone Addiction
Phone Addictions The smartphone is a poisonous thing we have in this world. People find what it can
really do to you in everyday life. As technology grows into days time the phobia gets worse everyday,
apps consuming people s social life or even just their life. The effects on students and adults are
unbelievable stats. Nomophia is a disease that makes you addicted to your mobile phone. As the
technology grows in the community people get more attached to their phones. The key reason for this
is that smartphones have become central in communication and are perceived necessary to own in
order to stay in touch with others, (Tran). The technology has grown tremendously throughout the
2,000, and this just helps nomophia. The More the phone does the more addicted people get to their
mobile device. When you think of addictions you might think of drugs, and alcohol, even though this
disorder is not bad as drugs or alcohol it is still an addiction. On the phone people can now start to
gamble, and do other bad things. The phone addiction started leading to the effects of how people
sleep and how they fill in the morning. Zarin Rahman, 17, became interested in sleep and cell phone
use through personal experience, (Brookshire). The scientist that are observing people about phones at
night discovered that the next morning the people woke up were struggling throughout the day. Most
people that stay up late are usually staying on there phones. That is just some of the effects.

The Effect Of Metabolic Acidosis On The Body
The cause of acidosis in the body is when the kidneys and lungs do not maintain the balance (proper
pH level) of chemicals called acids and bases. It can either occur when bicarbonate (a base) is lost or
when acid builds up. Acidosis can be defined as either respiratory or metabolic. Too much carbon
dioxide (an acid) in the body leads to respiratory acidosis. When the body gets into a situation where it
is unable to remove enough carbon dioxide through breathing, it causes respiratory acidosis. This kind
of acidosis is also called hyper capnic acidosis and carbon dioxide acidosis and could be caused by:
chest deformities, such as kyphosis, Chest injuries, chest muscle weakness, chronic lung disease and
overuse of sedative drugs. The symptoms that can be caused by respiratory acidosis are confusion,
fatigue, lethargy, shortness of breath, and sleepiness. Metabolic acidosis develops when too much acid
is produced in the body. It can also occur when the kidneys cannot remove enough acid from the body.
There are several types of metabolic acidosis: Hyperchloremic, Lactic and diabetic. Things that could
cause acidosis are: Dehydration, Aspirin poisoning and kidney disease. Diabetic acidosis (also called
diabetic ketoacidosis and DKA) develops when substances called ketone bodies (which are acidic)
build up during uncontrolled diabetes. The symptoms of metabolic acidosis symptoms depend on the
underlying disease or condition. The metabolic acidosis itself usually causes rapid

First Letter To Corinthians
There are many meaningful passages in the Holy Bible, but a passage from the first letter to the
Corinthians touched me the most. Your every act should be done with love (1 Corinthians 16:14).
Readers must read the first letter to the Corinthians as a whole book before attempting to understand
the passage, because apostle Paul, the author of the text, provides readers with a thorough
understanding into the life of an early Christian community of the first generation than any other book
of the New Testament. Paul may have written more, but there are only two epistles documented in the
New Testament with the other two included within the two canonical epistles, which he wrote to the
Christian church in the city of Corinth. During the year 56, the community of Corinth was manifesting
open factionalism: certain members were distinguishing themselves solely with individual Christian
leaders, living publicly in an incestuous union, engaged in legal conflicts in pagan courts of law,
participating in religious prostitution, and performing temple sacrifices. The lively pagan culture that
Corinth was famous for had crept into the church making it difficult to identify the Christians and non
Christians. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

things be done with charity (1 Corinthians 16:14). Paul emphasizes that love should bear all things,

Role Of Internal Audit On The Organization Outside The...
MEMO
To: Non accounting specialists
From: Miriam Lombe, Junior Accountant
Cc: Finance Director
Date: 15/12/2014
Subject: Role of Internal Audit
It has come to my attention that the role of internal audit is not clear to some members of the
organization outside the finance department. Therefore, it was decided that a memo is written to
explain clearly the role of internal audit.
Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting function intended to add value
and improve an organization s operations. The audit function can help an organization to achieve
objectives by evaluating an organizations risk management, control and governance processes to help
improve them.
Internal auditors (IA) assess how well risks are being managed in an organization, how the
organization is being governed and how well internal control systems and processes are working.
They report their findings to senior management, highlighting and advising management where
improvements in systems controls and processes are necessary.
By evaluating an organization s risk management and assisting management in improvement of
internal controls, IA s help management to clearly show stakeholders that they are managing the
organization well.
Different from external auditors, IA s work within an organization and their work can vary depending
on the business requirements. They do not only look at financial risks and statements but at a range of
issues that are key to a company s survival

The E Commerce Industry
Introduction With a steady increase of time, effort, and money being poured into digital marketing
over the past few years, one can only wonder what this means for the future of online exchange, or E
commerce. It is said that by 2016, the web will impact purchase decisions of sales totaling $2 trillion.
This is over half of all retail transactions (van Bommel et.al.). Digital strategy is no longer something
that can be overlooked, an extra tool for a company to take advantage of if they have the time, it is a
key marketing driver in our technologically dependent society. The E commerce industry as a whole
has only been possible since commercial internet use came about in 1991. Meaning, this is a young
industry which has seen rapid growth in such a short period of time. Because of this, there is a big
push to see how the purchase decision is impacted by the rise of E commerce. However, because this
is a young industry, there is much marketers still do not know about the online purchase decision
made by consumers. What does the future of e commerce look like? What do marketers need to know
in the creation and implementation of digital strategy? Where are the gaps in our current knowledge?
This is where my research begins.
Literature Review My research began with reading current postings, articles, and studies looking at all
different topics within the E commerce industry. After thorough analysis of these pieces of literature, I

Descriptive Essay On Lynyrd Skynynd
I have not been to many concerts in my life, so I did not know what to expect when I went to see
Lynyrd Skynyrd in concert last month. A few years ago, I saw Celine Dion in concert and was very
impressed by her beautiful stage, the infallible theatrics of her performers, and the wardrobe changes.
I expected the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert to be similar, but it was nothing like that at all. Concerts can
vary in considerable ways; everything from the stage set up, performance, and the audience can
completely change the concert goers experience.
The Celine Dion concert had a very elaborate stage with beautiful props and decorations. Each seemed
to magically change to match every new song she sang. I was expecting a comparable lay out at the
Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Their concert, however, was just the opposite. While waiting for Lynyrd
Skynyrd to perform, I noticed that the stage was sparse and unimpressive. The only thing that really
caught my eye was a baby grand piano on the left side of the stage. The other items on stage were just
typical musical instruments that you would expect to see at any rock concert. The only thing that
changed throughout the concert was a cheap backdrop that would occasionally change to fit the song.
As Celine came out on stage and started to perform her first song, everything was choreographed
perfectly. Celine, her band, and her backup dancers, impeccably executed each song. The Las Vegas
style influence on her show was undeniable. Obviously, she and

The Metropolitan Opera Monologue
After I watched Carmen, what impressed me the most is Ms.Garanča s performance and the music of
this opera. I think the music wonderfully shapes principal s personality and Ms.Garanča s performance
made Carmen more vivid. She performed this opera in The Metropolitan Opera in 2010. In the first
act, when Ms.Garanča sang L amour est un oiseau rebelle , I can tell Carmen s charm and uninhibited
personality. She knows that she is very attractive to men, so she is very confident about herself and
tries to draw all the men s attention. The melody of this aria is very stretchy and flowing and it
contains a strong temptation, gorgeous and elegant. What s more, In the keywords of L amour , the
chorus companion made it particularly outstanding, I think it carries a beauty and naturalness. Added
Ms.Garanča s performance, it fully shows Carmen s bold, passionate and full of mysterious charm of
the character. Also, in the same act, when Carmen tempted Don Jose, she sang another famous aria
Près des remparts de Séville , the melody is full of passion and it also contains a bit of wild, it further
shows carmen s characterization. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Stand By Me Film Techniques
Stand By Me, directed by Rob Reiner, is a film set in the 1950 s, in a small town called Castle Rock. It
is an adventure story about the friendship of four boys who are on a journey to see death. Along the
journey, the boys, Chris, Gordy, Vern and Teddy encounter many problems and challenges which in
turn illustrates the individual personality of each of the boys to the audience. The overall film displays
Rob Reiner s view of how growing up can sometimes be a difficult translation period. Through a
variety of scenes, Reiner has conveyed the idea that the future of young boys will be influenced by
both the positive and negative aspects of their lives. This is clearly evident through the boy s attitude

director, Rob Reiner has used a close up camera angle to show the expression on Gordy and Chris s

The Clash Of The Titans
THE CLASH OF THE TITANS
The War of 1812 The War of 1812 began as a result of a long fought war between Great Britain and
French forces led by Napoleon Bonaparte, that eventually infringed upon many of America s rights.
France and Great Britain had been fighting since 1793. Napoleon was a very powerful and determined
emperor who conquered much of Europe during the 19th century. The Royal Navy was very skilled at
naval combat and France had a strong and capable leader that was very skilled in war tactics. The
United States wanted the trade from both countries so it stayed neutral during the war. However, the
U.S. became a more active participant due to forced trade sanctions and Britain s impressment of
American seamen. The war is known as the War of 1812 because that is the year that America
declared war on Great Britain, but the war was actually started approximately three years earlier when
tensions between the Americans and the Indians escalated over westward territory expansion. Indian
problems, trade sanctions, impressment all fueled the start of the War of 1812. The Americans took a
neutral stance in this war and traded with both sides, Great Britain and France. Great Britain and
France both tried to stop the trade between the Americans and the other party, however, Great Britain
tried to restrict American trade with France by issuing the Orders in Council Act in 1807. This order
required companies to get a license before trading with France and French

A Study On Forensic Forensics
explain that these challenges are the result of frequent updates to the operating system and the
constant attempts to communicate externally. Accordingly, it is imperative that forensic examiners
employ proper evidence handling of mobile devices to prevent contamination and/or data destruction.
For this reason, forensic examiners should employ a mobile forensic process that will provide the
necessary procedures to follow for conducting a forensically sound investigation. As a result, the
process model for mobile forensics will encompass four phases. Ayers et al. (2014) describes these
phases as:

Reporting, this provides a detailed report describing procedures, observations, and results. For this
reason, it is imperative that the forensic examiner maintains all documentation, notes, images, and
steps taken in a clear and concise manner that can be repeated by another forensic examiner.
Strengths and Weaknesses
There are a few advantages of the forensic methodology regarding mobile forensics. One of the
advantages is the ability to search a digital device that 64% of Americans utilize on a daily basis. As a
result, this media permits forensic examiners to acquire, analyze, and examine texts, emails, phone
calls, images, and internet history. Also, since current smartphones are heavily employed for GPS,
location tracking is also possible. Additionally, there have been advances in forensic tools that are
exclusive for mobile forensics that were developed by companies like Cellebrite and MSAB (XRY
tool).
However, even though there are specialized forensic tools available, they are not completely reliable.
Gogolin (2013) attributes this to the misperception that a mobile forensic tool can be reliably
employed for every device, when in fact it may not support as many devices as advertised.
Additionally, Raghav and Saxena (2009) describe several challenges that examiners may encounter,
for example:
is the mobile device functional or has it been damaged (water or physical damage);

Abstract
EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT LEVELS OF T.V VIOLENCE ON AGGRESSION:
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of different levels of television violence on grade
school children. Since some studies show that younger children are more prone to aggression than
older children. This study is designed to show how violence plays a role in aggression. The intention
is to show that violence causes different aggression levels between males and females. The second
purpose of this study is to show if there are any significant differences between males and females and
aggression induced by violence. The information on gender difference and aggression is controversial.

The United Sates is the clear leader among modern, stable democratic nations in its rates of
homicides, assault, rape, and robbery, and it is among the highest in incidents of group violence and

making fortresses of portions of our cities and dividing our people into armed camps. It is jeopardizing
to some of our most precious institutions; among them our schools and universities poisoning the
spirit of trust and cooperation that is essential to their proper functioning.
In the past years until now, violence among children has increased dramatically. Cases have been
reported where grade school students take guns and other weapons to school and use them against
their teachers and classmates. Things of that sort are very much a reality for schools around the
country. Is the reason for these acts of violence that children are becoming more aggressive at younger
ages? Does, the media have to do something with the increase in violence of young children, the fact
that the media has more violence in it than any other point in history? It could be a combination of
things, including work, single parents, peer pressures, etc. The true concern is that the media entertains
children with violent shows, which are aimed at them. Some networks agreed to place advisories

Darkness Used In Macbeth
The famous American poet Edgar Allan Poe once said Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood
there, wondering, fearing, doubting, [and] dreaming dreams . Darkness and nature can portray the
atmosphere and theme in a plot which develops and adds a sense of terror and trickery. The aura of
apprehension is heightened by using the imagery of nature and darkness to create atmosphere.
Macbeth is a Shakespearean play that uses the imagery of darkness and nature to create an atmosphere
that evokes horror and deception. Weather acts as a great literary device to create atmosphere in
Macbeth. Weather is used to create an aura horror and deception. The three witches in the beginning of

Divorce
Introduction
Divorce is a legal action between to married people to end their marriage (Meyer, 2015). Divorce is a
social problem in today s society; it has become an epidemic (Alwin McCammon, 2003). In fact, it is
very common for couples to get divorce (Alwin McCammon, 2003). There are several types of
divorce: at fault, no fault divorce and summary divorce (Meyer, 2015). No fault divorce requires
neither husband nor wife to obtain divorce; reasons are commonly known as incompatibility,
irreconcilable differences and irremediable breakdown of marriage (Meyer, 2015). Divorcees can
transfer individual income if all assets were kept separate or income gained during the marriage
(Uunk, 2004). This type of policy helps with the financial consequences that divorce has (Uunk,
2004).
Today, getting married seems to be an old way of thinking (Amato Hohmann Marriott, 2007). Social
influences by the media have encouraged the idea of betrayal and dissolvent of marriage (Rosenfeld,
2014). Internet site have blogs about the thrill of cheating on your partner (Rosenfeld, 2014). Cultural
differences have also influenced marriage (Rosenfeld, 2014). Studies have shown there is a correlation
between social media and the increase in divorce (Rosenfeld, 2014).

Comparing The Polar Express And The Side Of Truth
Though written in different centuries, The Polar Express and the poem The Side Of Truth use
emotional imagery to emphasize character transformation and acceptance of truth. Both The Polar
Express and The Side of Truth stimulate features of truth and innocence throughout every piece of
writing. There is an extensive amount of loss of innocence in The Polar Express exposed by the
murder of hero boy s innocence, and beliefs, all done by his cruel companion who believes that the
idea of the Big Man is fabricated and childish. This book in particular captures the magic of childhood
with sensitivity and grace. (Mifflin, Web). Hero boy goes from being this uplifting young boy with

He uses his surrounding landscape, a lot in his poems and it paints a very real picture. This one speaks
of the sea and sand. The meeting between two worlds, which also serves the theme of the poem.
Thomas suggests that the reality that any one of us find ourselves in, actually becomes our truth. But
there is also always a choice, good and bad in everything. This is a very thought provoking and
profound poem. This one especially allows the reader to draw his or her own conclusion. The Polar
Express conveys a picture of innocence and truth; it correlates to The side of Truth because of the
meeting between two worlds . Each end comes a fresh start and every good thing in life; a fresher,
grander view is attained with clearness. The Side of Truth relates with blue because it is figuratively
applied to the truth Thomas is ¬¬transferring in his poem towards meeting between two worlds and

the paramount instants of life will not last forever if you forget what you believe in, and loose yourself

Water is essential for us to live and yet there are still so many issue linked to contamination of water
and the health of people. A large proportion of the World s population around 1.1 billion people does
not have access to improved sources of water (Thompson et al., 2003). Many people take for granted
their ability to access clean water. When in reality this problem has been occurring for a very long
time and affects a vast amount of people. The first documented attempts to treat drinking water, which
may date back to 4000 B.C., were recorded in Greek and Sanskrit writings (Barry M and Hughes J,
2008). Even with the technology and knowledge we have today this problem is still occurring. In
order to fully understand its implications on people it has to be looked at in a global context.
According to Thompson et al. (2003), a long term goal of Global Health is to cut in half the number of
people who do not have access to clean water. This initiative will necessitate innovative, collaborative,
interdisciplinary, and intersectoral efforts, with commitment from national leaders and heads of
international agencies and with public private partnership (Barry M and Hughes J, 2008). Blending
ideas from people with different backgrounds will increase the likelihood of accomplishing this goal.

Research Paper On Sour Burps
Sour Burps
Are you one of those people who experience sour burps once in a while during the day? This is a
symptom of acid reflux, which is a common gastrointestinal condition among people over 40 years
old.
Sour burping and sour belch are often uncomfortable and embarrassing. Although most people
associate these symptoms with gastroesophageal reflux disease, there are many other possible factors
that can cause these. Part 1: What Causes Sour Burps?
1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease
The most common cause associated with sour burps is GERD or gastroesophageal reflux disease,
which is also sometimes called acid reflux. This is often a chronic condition that affects your life in
many ways. Sour burping and belching are common symptoms, but ... Show more content on

Overweight
Obesity is also associated with sour burps because it increases abdominal pressure and contributes to
reflux. Other obesity associated factors that lead to sour burps include overeating, a sedentary
lifestyle, and diabetes, which may delay stomach emptying and result in reflux.
4. Pregnancy
Pregnancy is another factor associated with acid reflux and sour burps. An enlarging uterus increases
intra abdominal pressure while pregnancy hormones act on the LES, making acid reflux common in
many pregnant women. Other pregnancy related factors that may contribute to sour burps include
shortness of breath, anemia, easy fatigue, air swallowing, and overeating.
5. Smoking
Tobacco smoking and tobacco chewing can cause sour burps in various ways, including air
swallowing, weakening of the LES, and increased stomach acid production due to the stimulant effect
of nicotine and other chemicals found in tobacco.
6. Digestive Disorders
Digestive disorders may weaken the LES, delay emptying of your stomach, or produce excessive
stomach acids, contributing to sour burps. This is common with disorders like:
 Gastroparesis
 Gastrinoma
 Hiatal hernia
 Pyloric stenosis
 Intestinal motility disorders

The consumer protection laws are of great advantage to customers as they enable fair treatment and
good value to customers.
Competition Laws
The Office of Fair Trading monitors and ensures that all businesses are at even level with consumers.
The law protects a business from being demoted by its competitors.
For example, when Coca Cola Enterprises Ltd advertises a beverage the company is not to say,
PepsiCo is a waste of money but is allowed to say, Coca Cola reaches the top. This legislation would
limit the market planning of the company.
Competition laws will also be an advantage to customers as they would prevent misleading claims
from businesses.
Below is a description of how a legal factor may affect the activities of Croydon Health Services
NHS:
Health and Safety Law
The law obligates Croydon Health Services NHS to ensure that employees, patients, and so forth are
to be provided a safe environment at all times.
Being in the health sector makes the law very important for the running of the organisation. Hospitals
are the centre of epidemics and diseases which makes this law very important in the operation of the
organisation. Therefore, the organisation has installed equipment that maintains the hygiene of its
hospitals.
The law also obliges the organisation to provide health and safety information and equipment to staff
and patients.

Petruchio Character Analysis
Lust, wealth, and pride are undoubtedly insatiable. They are an impetus that drives one to embark on a
challenging quest. However, when individuals become obsessed with them, they may even turn them
into a villain. In William Shakespeare s The Taming Of The Shrew, Petruchio is the villain that has all
these insatiable curiosities. A male chauvinist, he is a boisterous nobleman from Verona who pursues
Katherine even though he knows that she is fiery and obnoxious. Despite her notoriety, he is not
deterred by her egregious disposition because what he wants is her dowry. By being manipulative,
corrupt, and audacious, Petruchio is able to win Katherine s heart as well as her wealth.

ii. 53 62). By analyzing this dialogue, it becomes apparent that Petruchio only cares about wealth and
power, no matter how shrewish and unattractive his future wife may be. Further evidence that proves
that Petruchio only cares about Katherine s dowry is during the wedding feast, Petruchio announces:
Gentlemen and friends, I thank you for you I know you think to dine with me today And have
prepared great store of wedding cheer, But so it is, my haste doth call me hence, And therefore here I
mean to take my leave (III ii 157 161). This seals the fact that Petruchio does not love Katherine at all,
as clearly, there are seemingly more important things to him than celebrating his own marriage.
Hence, Petruchio s corruption for wealth is the only factor that drives him to marry Katherine, as he
doesn t actually care about Katherine herself.
Finally, the reason why Petruchio is able to complete his plans is because of his audacious nature. His
unrefined personality allows him to speak freely and ask disrespectful questions in order to deceive
people and grasp the situation at hand. This is evident when Petruchio bluntly asks Baptista: Then tell
me, if I get your daughter s love, What dowry shall I have with her

1.0 Introduction Due to outstanding properties, graphene got more attention by the scientific
community; all its exceptional properties are owing to hexagonal monolayer of honeycomb lattice
packed with carbon atoms. The mechanical properties of graphene have been investigated using
various experimental, theoretical and computational approaches. By experimental based work, Lee et
al. [1] estimated the mechanical properties of graphene such as Young s modulus of about 1.0 ± 0.1
TPa and fracture strength of 130 ± 10 GPa. Frank et al. [2] estimated Young s modulus of 0.5 TPa for
2 to 8nm thickness of graphene sheets. Zhang et al. [3] measured Young s modulus of 0.89 TPa for
single layer graphene sheet. Besides experimental work, numerous theoretical and computational
studies have been carried out to investigate mechanical properties of graphene. By orthogonal tight
binding method Zhao et al. [4] estimated Young s modulus of 1.01 ± 0.03 and fracture strength and
strain of 107 GPa and 0.20 in zigzag direction and 90 GPa and 0.13 in armchair direction respectively.
By Ab initio calculation Liu et al. [5] estimated young s modulus of 1.05 TPa and also estimated

predicts that humans are generally far removed from the scene of battle and that warfare is dominated
by unmanned intelligent airborne devices (Kurzweil 197). The use of technology has definitely
increased in warfare and has saved tens of thousands of human lives. Kurzweil believes that the

This is due to the fact that a war that consists entirely of machines would be impossible to fund,
humans will always have the instinct to fight, and today we do not have the technology enabling
machines to be able to make ethical decisions that humans can. The ability to fund a war consisting
entirely of machines would be an impossible feat for the wealthiest nations, let alone one severely in
debt like our own. The United States is currently experiencing a national debt of over $18.4 trillion
which is continuing to rise at an unprecedented rate(usdebtclock.org). At a cost of approximately $40
million dollars the U.S. has developed the RQ 1 Predator drone (militaryfactory.com). Although it
does play an important role in today s warfare, with the national debt continuing to rise there is no
way the United States [could continue being] the world s dominant military power by producing an
army of machines as Kurzweil foresees. Some might say that spending in the military has never
stopped us before why should it now? If we increase our spending in the military by such a degree we
will reach our debt ceiling just as we did in October of 2013 essentially causing a government
shutdown. This is why we continue to see the use of humans in war simply because humans are the
most economical way to fight a war and to remain the world s dominant military power. We are all

Mission Objectives Of Jazzpunk
Jazzpunk opens with your character, Agent Polyblank, receiving a mission from his superior The
Director. The mission involves infiltrating the Russian consulate but this game is no Splinter Cell. Set
in an alternate reality where the Cold War is still raging, Polyblank must deal with robots, spies and
some of the strangest gadgets ever seen in a game.
The creators cite comedy films such as Airplane and Naked Gun as major influences on the gameplay
so if you are expecting any type of seriousness from Jazzpunk you are in for a shock. You are given an
overall objective for each mission that is started by swallowing Missionoyl pills by the way, but after a
level starts you are left to your own devices. I strongly suggest that you actually ignore your mission
objective for as long as possible and explore the environments otherwise you will miss out on some of
the best elements that the game has to offer.
What I love about Jazzpunk is that it is totally unpredictable. As you wander around the levels and
interact with the environment you never know what is going to happen next. One minute you might be

  • 2. Sexual Revolution Sexual Revolution Evolution Intimacy is not free in the modern world. Political change, social change, systems of oppression, and globalization all contribute to the shape and to the limit of people s intimate lives. The oppressive regulation of marriage and sexuality by states and cultures can really affect intimacy and incite sexual revolutions. In feminist studies Professor Leila Rupp s lecture, Tickell and Peck were cited as defining globalization as a notion based on an increasingly borderless market, where market rules and competitive logics predominate. In another lecture, Rupp stated that sexual revolutions are linked to and caused by: globalization, economic forces, technology and culture. Rupp expresses that many changes in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As stated in lecture, Sodomy laws are very vague laws that deem any sexual activity that is unnatural is unlawful. Many homosexuals have been victims of this oppressive legislation because homosexuality can be interpreted as an act of sodomy, and act of abnormality. In regards to the 1986 Bowers v. Hardwick Supreme Court decision which upheld Georgia s sodomy law, Georgia s attorney general stated, It is the very act of homosexual sodomy that epitomizes moral delinquency. A gay couple arrested in their own home because they were having sexual relations that were deemed unnatural in the eyes of legislators is the epitome of political oppression. Restrictions on intimacy in private are ridiculousness at its climax. As Rupp confirms, States have an interest in sexuality: because there is a complex relationship between law and culture; what seems private is not. In addition to the Georgia sodomy case, there has been other legislative oppression that constricts intimacy, and intervenes on individual s private lives. In Malawi for example, a gay couple had a public engagement celebration and were arrested and face fourteen years in prison. Displaying love for a companion that is seen as against the norm can place people in prison, and sometimes killed. For example, in Iraq there have been murders of men suspected of being gay and also, the death penalty has been proposed in Uganda for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Jerome Idaho Business Analysis The City of Jerome Idaho was known as the forty third County in the forty third State of the United States of American. It was created in 1919 from what they call the parent counties of Gooding, Minidoka and Lincoln counties. In the 1880 s Jerome county was actually known as Alturas County, one which no longer exists. As for the name of Jerome, there is a difference of option as to where that came from. Some believe Jerome was named after the son of W. S. Kuhn whose name was Jerome Kuhn. He had purchased some property known as North Side, from a Frank Buhl. Jerome had planned on building a town site there on North Side. But then again on the other side are those who believe that Jerome was named after Jerome Hill, a man who was commissioned ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... While working in the different schools as a substitute teacher, I learned what schools had the highest level of students with special needs in spelling, and math. These kids were taken out of class to work with me on a one on one level helping to try and get them caught up in spelling, sounds and how to read, as well as math. It was amazing to see kids that were in the second grade not knowing there sounds or being able to add and subtract math correctly. They were in second grade on a first grade reading/math levels. I also worked in schools that had the highest level of kids in reading and math. Why such a split? The way the school are set up, you would actually think that the location of the schools verses the issues within the school would be flipped. When substituting at the charter school I found out that they have a higher than average poverty level at their school, where 73% of the children in the school receive free lunches, which is up from 2013 at 65%. Our neighboring Twin Falls county school district runs at a 55% with their charter school runs as low as 28% for free lunches. It is hard to figure out the reasons behind why the poverty levels are so high. This is a farming community and we have a lot of migrants that come in and work. This is an understandable issue with the kids needing to learn English, but not for the kids that are non immigrants, but then again it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Process Of Updating Research And Cite-Checking A. Updating Research and Cite Checking Cite checking is usually the last step of your research. Never overlook this critical step! Citation services catalogue information about how points of law in a case or statute are treated by later cases and secondary sources. Attorneys use citators to make sure that a case they want to use is current and useful law. The process of using citators to check your research is called cite checking or Shepardizing. The law being cite checked is called the cited authority. Any subsequent law that mentions the cited authority is listed in the citator as a citing authority. Citing authorities are divided into several positive or negative categories, depending on whether the citing authority ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For example, a state appellate court cannot overrule the U.S. Supreme Court on a federal constitutional issue. The hierarchy of judicial authority matters in research and it should be considered when citing and cite checking. It is important to know that citators list all citing authorities within a cited case, regardless of whether those citing authorities are found in the holding or the dicta. Therefore, note what the citing authority says about your case, and where the citing authority uses the case within its discussion. Many of the citing authorities are found in dicta, and therefore cannot be controlling law. Also, the authorities may be only peripherally connected with the principle of law in your case. Also note whether the citing authority is in the body of the opinion or if it appears in the key notes or headnotes. Remember that headnotes and keynotes are not standards of the law, but only summaries and case finders added by the research service. In addition to listing cases that cite your target authority, citators also list secondary sources such as treatises, journals, and law reviews. With these sources, citators help expand your research. Cite checking sources are the modern way to check authorities. Before computer assisted legal research was invented, most attorneys updated their research using books. Shepard s Citators, published as a series of cumulative volumes was the ... • 5. Becoming An Adequate Writer Learning to be an adequate writer is something I strive for but don t feel I have yet accomplished. In the past, I can remember spending countless hours sitting and thinking what I should write about. I think my biggest problem is figuring out how to actually put on paper what I am thinking. I am also concerned that the paper I write will not fully express what I am actually trying to say. I have found that if I am in a situation where I have to think of something on the spot or I am timed, I feel very overwhelmed and freeze up. However, I feel one of my strengths would be that I feel fairly comfortable with the rules of grammar and I enjoy that part of English. I can remember in high school I always did really well on my grammar test ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Better Mental Health Care Will Stop Senseless Shootings... Gun control is a topic which has become highly politicized. Mental health is an issue that many people do not understand. The correlation between these two issues is one that many do not see. Shootings have been on the rise and no one can come up with a good reason why. That is where these two seemingly different issues become something that has more in common than most can see. For gun related violence, and violence in general, what is a good method of dealing with these issues and saving lives? Mental health care improvement or gun control? To get a better idea of the two different options and what they may look like, one has to look at the history. The history provides a basis for what has happened with this particular issue in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lobotomies, which are surgical procedures that cut and scrape different connections in the brain, were very common practice. They were thought to help cure mental illness, but often ended up causing more damage than good. Dorthea Dix, a well known name in the psychology field, was a major contributor to improving the quality of life for those that were in institutions. She was a volunteer at a hospital during the civil war and realized the horrendous treatment to the patients. The realization that people did better when they were in their own environment, as opposed to a mental institution was a major turning point in the treatment of the mentally ill. This was the time of deinstitutionalization, realizing that individuals would thrive outside of the institution. An article in the Washington Post gives the shocking statistics The number of Americans with intellectual disabilities who live in large state institutions declined by 85 percent between 1965 and 2009 (Pollack). By putting mentally ill individuals back into a more normal environment their cognitive abilities were improved as well as their treatment. They were treated as real individuals not as just another patient. Outpatient treatment centers became the main provider of services for the mentally ill. While deinstitutionalization is a good thing, it can also have some negative pitfalls. A large ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Decision Making Process Criteria ALTERNATIVE APPROACH In retrospect, if the following leadership decision making process criteria would have been followed many children would not have been exposed to molestation. The Freeh report (2012) made more than 100 recommendations for change to be instituted by PSU including restructuring governance; administration and general counsel structure, policies and procedures. Additionally, the university culture needs to transform stressing values and ethics based decision making. A process adjustment is required for compliance, risk and misconduct reporting. The athletic department must be integrated into an oversight and compliance process by the leadership. The programs involving children require greater management leadership with frequent accountability process to be established. Ultimately, the leadership itself that was involved in the case should be transitioned. In this competitive era, it is imperative for a well functioning economy to imply effective methods for businesses to pay their employees, suppliers and investors, for households to purchase goods and services, and for governments to collect taxes and make payments, such as pensions and interest on bonds. These payments, known as retail or low value payments include debit and credit card transactions, cheques and direct entry transactions (Hunt Terry 2014). According to the Reserve Bank of Australia (2015), large value payments are settled one by one on a real time gross settlement (RTGS) basis, while retail payments (which make up to 10% of the value of RITS interbank settlement) are settled on a net settlement basis. However, for several years, net clearing was undertaken after hours of tallying ADIs deposited amounts during the day. The ADIs would calculate the net amounts each of them owed to one another to settle their obligations on payment orders. Only then, the RBA would be advised of the cleared net obligations and the transferring of ES funds would take place the next day at 9 A.M. Although this system, referred to as deferred net payment system(DNS) handles very large payment orders deposited each day by net clearing to reduce the amount of funds ADIs have to pay for settlement of obligations(Hunt Terry 2014), the payments are still deferred until the next day. This phenomenon generally poses a disadvantage of settlement risk (an ADI might default on their obligations). Moreover, if an ADI was unable to settle their obligations due to insufficient funds, the whole settlement process would be delayed. The longer the period between settlements, the larger these credit exposures could become, and the greater the opportunity for an institution to default on these obligations (Fraser Gatty 2014). Studies have shown patients with type 2 diabetes experience decreased coronary flow which is related to hemoglobin A1C and fasting plasma glucose levels (Marketou, et al., 2008). Mild insulin resistance can also be associated with a decrease in coronary flow. In addition, a decrease in myocardial perfusion in diabetic patients is related to decreased blood flow. • 16. The Effect Of Metabolic Acidosis On The Body The cause of acidosis in the body is when the kidneys and lungs do not maintain the balance (proper pH level) of chemicals called acids and bases. It can either occur when bicarbonate (a base) is lost or when acid builds up. Acidosis can be defined as either respiratory or metabolic. Too much carbon dioxide (an acid) in the body leads to respiratory acidosis. When the body gets into a situation where it is unable to remove enough carbon dioxide through breathing, it causes respiratory acidosis. This kind of acidosis is also called hyper capnic acidosis and carbon dioxide acidosis and could be caused by: chest deformities, such as kyphosis, Chest injuries, chest muscle weakness, chronic lung disease and overuse of sedative drugs. The symptoms that can be caused by respiratory acidosis are confusion, fatigue, lethargy, shortness of breath, and sleepiness. Metabolic acidosis develops when too much acid is produced in the body. It can also occur when the kidneys cannot remove enough acid from the body. There are several types of metabolic acidosis: Hyperchloremic, Lactic and diabetic. Things that could cause acidosis are: Dehydration, Aspirin poisoning and kidney disease. Your every act should be done with love (1 Corinthians 16:14). Readers must read the first letter to the Corinthians as a whole book before attempting to understand the passage, because apostle Paul, the author of the text, provides readers with a thorough understanding into the life of an early Christian community of the first generation than any other book of the New Testament. Paul may have written more, but there are only two epistles documented in the New Testament with the other two included within the two canonical epistles, which he wrote to the Christian church in the city of Corinth. During the year 56, the community of Corinth was manifesting open factionalism: certain members were distinguishing themselves solely with individual Christian leaders, living publicly in an incestuous union, engaged in legal conflicts in pagan courts of law, participating in religious prostitution, and performing temple sacrifices. MEMO To: Non accounting specialists From: Miriam Lombe, Junior Accountant Cc: Finance Director Date: 15/12/2014 Subject: Role of Internal Audit It has come to my attention that the role of internal audit is not clear to some members of the organization outside the finance department. Therefore, it was decided that a memo is written to explain clearly the role of internal audit. Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting function intended to add value and improve an organization s operations. The audit function can help an organization to achieve objectives by evaluating an organizations risk management, control and governance processes to help improve them. Internal auditors (IA) assess how well risks are being managed in an organization, how the organization is being governed and how well internal control systems and processes are working. They report their findings to senior management, highlighting and advising management where improvements in systems controls and processes are necessary. By evaluating an organization s risk management and assisting management in improvement of internal controls, IA s help management to clearly show stakeholders that they are managing the organization well. Digital strategy is no longer something that can be overlooked, an extra tool for a company to take advantage of if they have the time, it is a key marketing driver in our technologically dependent society. The E commerce industry as a whole has only been possible since commercial internet use came about in 1991. I expected the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert to be similar, but it was nothing like that at all. Concerts can vary in considerable ways; everything from the stage set up, performance, and the audience can completely change the concert goers experience. The Celine Dion concert had a very elaborate stage with beautiful props and decorations. Each seemed to magically change to match every new song she sang. I was expecting a comparable lay out at the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert. Their concert, however, was just the opposite. While waiting for Lynyrd Skynyrd to perform, I noticed that the stage was sparse and unimpressive. The only thing that really caught my eye was a baby grand piano on the left side of the stage. The other items on stage were just typical musical instruments that you would expect to see at any rock concert. The only thing that changed throughout the concert was a cheap backdrop that would occasionally change to fit the song. The Clash Of The Titans THE CLASH OF THE TITANS The War of 1812 The War of 1812 began as a result of a long fought war between Great Britain and French forces led by Napoleon Bonaparte, that eventually infringed upon many of America s rights. France and Great Britain had been fighting since 1793. Napoleon was a very powerful and determined emperor who conquered much of Europe during the 19th century. The Royal Navy was very skilled at naval combat and France had a strong and capable leader that was very skilled in war tactics. The United States wanted the trade from both countries so it stayed neutral during the war. However, the U.S. became a more active participant due to forced trade sanctions and Britain s impressment of American seamen. The war is known as the War of 1812 because that is the year that America declared war on Great Britain, but the war was actually started approximately three years earlier when tensions between the Americans and the Indians escalated over westward territory expansion. Indian problems, trade sanctions, impressment all fueled the start of the War of 1812. The Americans took a neutral stance in this war and traded with both sides, Great Britain and France. Strengths and Weaknesses There are a few advantages of the forensic methodology regarding mobile forensics. One of the advantages is the ability to search a digital device that 64% of Americans utilize on a daily basis. As a result, this media permits forensic examiners to acquire, analyze, and examine texts, emails, phone calls, images, and internet history. Also, since current smartphones are heavily employed for GPS, location tracking is also possible. Additionally, there have been advances in forensic tools that are exclusive for mobile forensics that were developed by companies like Cellebrite and MSAB (XRY tool). However, even though there are specialized forensic tools available, they are not completely reliable. Gogolin (2013) attributes this to the misperception that a mobile forensic tool can be reliably employed for every device, when in fact it may not support as many devices as advertised. If we look at the root of this particular problem we find that it stems from the use of natural resources to produce energy. Not only does that reduced the amount of available resources harming the environment, it is also creating a byproduct that reduces the quality of health. A large proportion of the World s population around 1.1 billion people does not have access to improved sources of water (Thompson et al., 2003). Many people take for granted their ability to access clean water. When in reality this problem has been occurring for a very long time and affects a vast amount of people. The first documented attempts to treat drinking water, which may date back to 4000 B.C., were recorded in Greek and Sanskrit writings (Barry M and Hughes J, 2008). Even with the technology and knowledge we have today this problem is still occurring. In order to fully understand its implications on people it has to be looked at in a global context. According to Thompson et al. (2003), a long term goal of Global Health is to cut in half the number of people who do not have access to clean water. This initiative will necessitate innovative, collaborative, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral efforts, with commitment from national leaders and heads of international agencies and with public private partnership (Barry M and Hughes J, 2008). Blending ideas from people with different backgrounds will increase the likelihood of accomplishing this goal. Alex, the protagonist of A Clockwork Orange, is a person who by modern ethical standards is a psychopath with no moral conscience. The lack of proper authority in the future version of England presented in A Clockwork Orange allows for the prevalence of pseudo families that act as the main influences on the lifestyles of teenagers such as Alex. Alex explains within the first page of the novel how he and his three droogs spent a lot of time making up [their minds] what to do with their almost unlimited free time (A Clockwork Orange 3). For example, the word horrorshow , which in English seems to have a grim definition, translates to good or well in Nadsat. An analysis of this language shows what concepts the youth in this setting deem as important. Violence, sex, and alcohol are necessities while peace and respect are not. This emphasis on these vices through the slang language of Nadsat shows that from the perspective of A Clockwork Orange s teenage population, the definitions of morality and sanity are deeply rooted in the desires of the population to cave into their innermost desires, a collection of thoughts known in psychology as the ... By analyzing this dialogue, it becomes apparent that Petruchio only cares about wealth and power, no matter how shrewish and unattractive his future wife may be. Further evidence that proves that Petruchio only cares about Katherine s dowry is during the wedding feast, Petruchio announces: Gentlemen and friends, I thank you for you I know you think to dine with me today And have prepared great store of wedding cheer, But so it is, my haste doth call me hence, And therefore here I mean to take my leave (III ii 157 161). This seals the fact that Petruchio does not love Katherine at all, as clearly, there are seemingly more important things to him than celebrating his own marriage. Hence, Petruchio s corruption for wealth is the only factor that drives him to marry Katherine, as he doesn t actually care about Katherine herself. Finally, the reason why Petruchio is able to complete his plans is because of his audacious nature. His unrefined personality allows him to speak freely and ask disrespectful questions in order to deceive people and grasp the situation at hand. This is evident when Petruchio bluntly asks Baptista: Then tell me, if I get your daughter s love, What dowry shall I have with her ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The mechanical properties of graphene have been investigated using various experimental, theoretical and computational approaches. By experimental based work, Lee et al. [1] estimated the mechanical properties of graphene such as Young s modulus of about 1.0 ± 0.1 TPa and fracture strength of 130 ± 10 GPa. Frank et al. [2] estimated Young s modulus of 0.5 TPa for 2 to 8nm thickness of graphene sheets. Zhang et al. [3] measured Young s modulus of 0.89 TPa for single layer graphene sheet. Besides experimental work, numerous theoretical and computational studies have been carried out to investigate mechanical properties of graphene. By orthogonal tight binding method Zhao et al. [4] estimated Young s modulus of 1.01 ± 0.03 and fracture strength and strain of 107 GPa and 0.20 in zigzag direction and 90 GPa and 0.13 in armchair direction respectively. By Ab initio calculation Liu et al. [5] estimated young s modulus of 1.05 TPa and also estimated uniaxial tensile stress of 121 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Kurzweil makes a series of predictions starting at the year 2009 and going to 2099 with several main categories including warfare. In 2009 Kurzweil predicts that humans are generally far removed from the scene of battle and that warfare is dominated by unmanned intelligent airborne devices (Kurzweil 197). The use of technology has definitely increased in warfare and has saved tens of thousands of human lives. Kurzweil believes that the human element in fighting wars will become obsolete. This is due to the fact that a war that consists entirely of machines would be impossible to fund, humans will always have the instinct to fight, and today we do not have the technology enabling machines to be able to make ethical decisions that humans can. The ability to fund a war consisting entirely of machines would be an impossible feat for the wealthiest nations, let alone one severely in debt like our own. The United States is currently experiencing a national debt of over $18.4 trillion which is continuing to rise at an unprecedented rate(usdebtclock.org). At a cost of approximately $40 million dollars the U.S. has developed the RQ 1 Predator drone (militaryfactory.com). Although it does play an important role in today s warfare, with the national debt continuing to rise there is no way the United States [could continue being] the world s dominant military power by producing an army of machines as Kurzweil foresees. Some might say that spending in the military has never stopped us before why should it now? If we increase our spending in the military by such a degree we will reach our debt ceiling just as we did in October of 2013 essentially causing a government shutdown. This is why we continue to see the use of humans in war simply because humans are the most economical way to fight a war and to remain the world s dominant military power. • 38. Mission Objectives Of Jazzpunk Jazzpunk opens with your character, Agent Polyblank, receiving a mission from his superior The Director. The mission involves infiltrating the Russian consulate but this game is no Splinter Cell. Set in an alternate reality where the Cold War is still raging, Polyblank must deal with robots, spies and some of the strangest gadgets ever seen in a game. The creators cite comedy films such as Airplane and Naked Gun as major influences on the gameplay so if you are expecting any type of seriousness from Jazzpunk you are in for a shock. You are given an overall objective for each mission that is started by swallowing Missionoyl pills by the way, but after a level starts you are left to your own devices. I strongly suggest that you actually ignore your mission objective for as long as possible and explore the environments otherwise you will miss out on some of the best elements that the game has to offer. What I love about Jazzpunk is that it is totally unpredictable. As you wander around the levels and interact with the environment you never know what is going to happen next.
