We use the comparative of adjectives when
we compare two people, animal or things.
The two basic ways to compare are using as

As … As
The easiest way to compare.When comparing
with as .. as, the adjective does not change
This book is not as exciting as the last one.
He is as intelligent as her brother!
Than
When comparing with than some changes to the
adjective are necessary, depending on the
number of syllables the adjective has

SUPERLATIVES
Superlatives are used when we compare one
person, animal or thing with several of the
same kind.

Short – shorter - shortest
One-syllable adjectives ending in –e take
–r/-st
