This study compares four different open graded friction course (OGFC) mixes prepared with different binders and fibers: PG 60/70 bitumen, PG 60/70 with coir fiber, natural rubber modified bitumen (NRMB), and NRMB with coir fiber. Coir fiber was surface treated to improve durability and temperature stability before being added to reduce drain down loss. Mix designs were conducted according to the NCAT procedure and laboratory tests evaluated properties like drain down, abrasion loss, and permeability. The NRMB mix with coir fiber was found to provide adequate strength and permeability while draining water quickly and was selected as the optimum mix.
Durability of Bricks Cast With Industrial SludgeIOSR Journals
Abstract: Recovery of waste constituents from industrial waste is a cost effective solution in control of
environmental pollution. Present investigation deals with the feasibility of usage of sludge obtained from sand
beneficiation treatment plant in the production of bricks and their durability. The experimental results show that
the brick earth can be replaced with treatment plant sludge up to 40% by weight without loss in strength and
other brick characteristics considered satisfactory for conventional purposes. Apart from that when reference
specimens and test bricks (5% Sludge) were immersed in various concentrations of hydrochloric acid (HCl)
solution at different immersed ages, the loss of weight is found to be less in test bricks than that in reference
bricks. Hence, at 5% of replacement, the quality of bricks is superior to the bricks made from earth alone and
can be used for superior work of permanent nature.

A Study on self-Compacting Concrete Using Portland Slag Cement with Partial R...IJERA Editor
Concrete plays a vital role as a construction material in the world. In the present scenario, waste materials from various industries are added to the mix. Over 400 million tons of waste materials are being produced by various industries every year. Foundries successfully recycle and reuse the sand many times in a foundry. When the sand can no longer be reused in the foundry, it is removed from the foundry and is termed as Foundry sand. Foundry sand production is nearly 6 to 10 million tons annually. There is a possibility of substituting natural fine aggregate with waste foundry sand which offers technical, economic and environmental advantages which are of great use in the construction sector. The construction industry is now slowly becoming aware of the environmental issues and other sustainable development issues for cement and concrete industries. It is looking for the ways and means to develop building products, which will increase the life span and quality. This thesis presents an experimental investigation on strength aspects like compressive, split tensile and flexural strength of Self Compacting Concrete (SSC) containing an industrial waste foundry sand. It is used as fine aggregate in varying proportions, replacing the fine aggregate with foundry sand as percentages of 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%. For this green SCC, all SCC tests are performed as per EFNARC guidelines i.e. slump flow, L-box, V funnel and T50 tests are carried out.
Recycled aggregates consist of crushed, graded inorganic particles processed from the material that have been used in the constructions and demolition debris. The target of the present thesis work is to determine the strength characteristic of recycled aggregates for the application in concrete pavement construction. The scope of the thesis is to determine and compare the compressive strength, flexural strength and sulphate resistance of concrete by using different percentages of recycled aggregates. The investigation was carried out by using workability test, compressive strength test, flexural strength test and sulphate resistance test. A total of five mixes with replacement of coarse aggregates with 0%, 10%, 20%, 30% and 40% recycled coarse aggregates were studied. The water cement ratio was kept constant at 0.38. It was observed that workability of concrete was decreased with the increase in recycled aggregates in concrete. For the strength characteristics, the results showed that the strengths of recycled aggregate concrete was comparable to the strengths of natural aggregates concrete. A PARAMETRIC STUDY ON EFFECT OF FLY ASH TOGETHER WITH FIBER FOR SUSTAINABLE C...IAEME Publication
The present challenge for civil engineers is to produce high volume and high
performance fly ash concrete with increased durability and service life, at lowest
possible cost. Also concrete produced should have minimal negative impact on the
environment, which is green and sustainable concrete. This can be achieved by
reducing the use of natural lime, fine and coarse aggregates whose resources are
limited and are depleting very fast day by day. It could also be achieved by utilizing
maximum possible industrial by-product like fly ash in concrete as it would reduce
landfill area for fly ash disposal and CO2 emission during cement manufacturing
process. Effect of fly ash as replacement of cement together with fibers in concrete on
durability is very well reported in literatures. However effect of fly ash as partial
replacement of cement and sand together with fibers is not clearly available in
literatures. Literatures show that partial replacement of cement by fly ash reduces early
age strength of concrete. Partial replacement of sand by fly ash together with fiber shall
compensate strength loss due to partial replacement of cement by fly ash. Due to
government restrictions on natural sand mining from river beds, contractors are
demanding a reliable and all weather partial or full replacement material for sand.
Present study shall be a right step forward in reducing consumption of natural sand
and consuming higher volumes of fly ash available in Chhattisgarh region together with
fibers for sustainable and durable concrete.
There are various roadway construction activities and plans that involve the use of flexible pavement having hot mix technique. This hot mix technique is a traditional method for the construction of road that has fulfilled the performance evaluation from infrastructure point of view throughout the past years. The various processes which are involved in this technique are providing heat to the aggregate and binder, proper mixing, provision of tack coat as per the specifications, laying of the mixed, the process of compaction. The cold mixed technique having use of bitumen emulsion on large scale should be epicenter of the study such that this technology may advance its application in present as well as future with proper specifications, testing throughout. The Hot mixed based techniques have gone through the significant advancements with time. The Cold mixed based technology is somewhere lagging in terms of applications which might be observed in the developing countries. In the present study, it has been the primary motivation that underlies the selection of cold mixed technique. AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON PARTIAL ADDITION OF RECYCLED RUBBER TYRES AS REPLACE...IAEME Publication
Concrete, being one of the widely used construction materials in the world in
which cement and aggregate are termed to be inevitable components that are used to
manufacture it. The increase in consumption of natural resources led to demand in
higher rate where parallel to the utilization of the natural resources emerged out as a
destructive concern inthe environment. In order to protect it the only way defined to
preserve natural resources (say aggregate) is by incorporating alternative materials
say recycled or waste elements in rubber form. In this study, we have carried out an
experimental procedure adopting recycled rubber tyres as a partial replacement for
coarse aggregate to manufacture concrete tyres. Pretreating has of one with sodium
hydroxide solution to modify its surface and interfacial transition zone allowing the
rubber to adhere with cement paste. The cycle tyres were taken and its surface were
treated with a saturated aqueous solution for 20 minutes, washed in running water
and left air dry. Then the coarse aggregates were partially replaced with rubber tyres
in different percentage’s say 5%, 10%, 20% and 30% of its total volume. Prior to that
we have prepared a control mix without any replacement of coarse aggregate to draw
a comparative study. For each and every proportion of tyre mix-concrete cubes,
cylinders were prepared and cast and properties such as slump value, compressive
strength, split tensile strength, and flexural strength are determined and a comparison

To Study the Behaviour use of Locally Materials in Highway Subgradeijtsrd
Concrete is strong in compression but weak in tension and brittle also. Cracks also start forming as soon as the concrete is placed. These above said drawbacks don't permit the use of normal concrete in pavements as they lead to a lack of ductility along with fracture and failure. These weaknesses in concrete can be mitigated by using fibers as reinforcement in the concrete mix. Waste materials in the form of polyethylene and tires cause environmental pollution which leads to various health problems. Polyethylene and waste tires can be reused and used efficiently in the concrete as reinforcement in the fiber form. Polyethylene is a synthetic hydrocarbon polymer which can improve the ductility, strength, shrinkage characteristics. This study deals with the effects of addition of polyethylene fiber on the properties of concrete. In this study, Polyethylene and tire fibers were cut into the size of 25mm x 8mm and they were used 1.5 each by volume. Grades of concrete used were M 30, M 35 and M 40. IRC 44 2008 was followed for the design of concrete mix. In this study, the results of the strength properties of Polyethylene fiber reinforced concrete have been presented. Four point bending and double shear test were performed in the laboratory for flexure and shear strength determinations. There was seen an increase of 18 in the 28 day compressive strength along with an increase of 39 in flexure Strenght and 32 in shear strength. It is also found that 22 reduction in the four point bending test and 36 reduction in deflection by double shear tests were initiated out from the experiments. Theoretical analysis of deflection was carried out with the help of energy methods. Practical values were verified with the theoretical values within the allowable limits. Finally, it is concluded that polyethylene and tire used efficiently in reinforced cement concrete. Comparison of Strength Characteristics of Concrete by using Fly Ash and Rice ...ijtsrd
A state of extreme landfill areas redevelopment program in many parts of the country has cause to bring the use of recycled aggregate. The low quality of recycled aggregate has limited its use to low grade applications such as roadwork sub base and pavements, while its adoption for higher grade concrete is rare because of the lower compressive strength and higher variability in mechanical performance of recycled aggregate. A new concrete mixing method, that is the two stage mixing approach TSMA , was publically recommends to improve the quality of recycled aggregate concrete RAC by splitting the mixing process into two stages. The variation of compressive strength by experimental analysis involving the new mixing method with the two stage mixing approach by proportioning ingredients with the percentage of recycled coarse aggregates RCA , fly ash and rice husk ash. Based on experiments and results, improves strength to RAC were achieved with TSMA. This can be regarded as to the porous nature of RA and the mixing process that fills up some of its pores and cracks, resulting in a denser aggregate and concrete. An improved zone of RA gives a more strength than the normal mixing approach. Purva B. Dhengare | Prof. G. D. Dhawale | Prof. R. S. durability aspects in reference to permeable voids and leaching of calcium hy...IJCMESJOURNAL
The concrete industry is constantly looking for supplementary cementitious material with the objective of reducing the solid waste disposal problem. Fly ash (FA) and Quarry sand (QS) are some among the solid wastes generated by industry. The Quarry sand is one such material which can be used to replace sand as fine aggregate. To overcome from this crisis, partial replacement of natural sand (NS) with Quarry sand and partial replacement of cement with FA can be an economic alternative. This research is carried to study the effect of replacement of sand by Quarry sand and cement by fly ash with using admixture in concrete, especially in reference to permeable voids development, compressive strength, leaching of Ca(OH)2 in curing water and RCPT at 28, 56 and 90 days of age. A M25, M30, M40 Grade concrete were chosen for research. The mix design was carried out and three combinations were chosen, first combination using 100% Natural sand and 100% cement ( treated as controlled mix).In second combination 100%Natural sand is replaced by Quarry sand and cement remains100%. In third combination 30% cement is replaced by Fly ash and 45% Natural sand is replaced by Quarry sand (treated as critical mix). These were chosen from 30 combinations of variable % of Natural sand and Quarry sand and fly ash. The study is aim at understanding the performance of critical mix in reference to controlled mix and concrete containing 100% quarry sand. It is observed that if quarry and is used for concrete then suitable percentage natural sand and fly ash must be added to achieve desired compressive strength and performance of concrete.

Marble is a metamorphic rock, resulting from the transformation of pure lime stone. Marble dust is generated in stone processing plants which pollute the environment and affect the humans directly or indirectly. Marble is industrially processed by being cut, polished and used for decorative purpose and thus, economically variable. During cutting process, 20 30 of a marble block becomes waste marble powder. concrete. This report accentuation that by utilizing locally accessible materials like jaggery, may enhance the properties of
concrete. The experiment has been completed for assessing the quality properties of concrete utilizing Jaggery as admixtures
into the concrete creation. Normally these sorts of admixtures utilized as a part of the extraordinary cases like huge wharfs
and long heaps. Four unique rates of admixtures (Jaggery) are picked in the experimentation as, 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3%and 0.4%
by weight of cement with M20 and M25 grade, mix design of concrete. At last, it was presumed that workability and
compressive strength of concrete upgraded when admixtures Jaggery included into the concrete synthesis.

Self compacting concrete for slip form pavingeSAT Journals
Abstract Slip form paving has been extensively used worldwide for construction of pavements. During the process of paving, concrete mix with a slump less than 50 mm is placed in front of a paver. Because of the low consistency of the mix, a great deal of vibration is needed to move entrapped air and compact the concrete. There is a need to overcome problem by designing a concrete that would not require vibration to compact the concrete mix, at the same time stability after extrusion and high flexural strength. Mix design based on the absolute volume concept was adopted to fabricate SFSCC. Volume of paste of 0.38 and water content of 200 kg/m3 was kept constant throughout the study. Cement content was varied from 360 to 425 kg/m3, 3 mixes of SCC with GGBS (SFSCC-S), 3 mixes of SCC with 2% of alccofine replaced by cement (SFSCC-SA) and 3 mixes of SCC with 2% of metakaolin replaced by cement (SFSCC-SM) is reported. The quantity of polypropylene fibers used in all the mixes was 900 gm/m3. Slump, spread, green strength and compaction factor were evaluated for all the 9 mixes. To simulate the practical construction process, a mini paver system was fabricated. The strength parameters compressive and flexural strength of concrete was evaluated at 7 days and 28 days. Keywords: Slip form paving, alccofine, SCC, GGBS, metakaolin, SFSCC, SP.
Modifications of construction materials have an important bearing on the building sector. Several attempts have been therefore made in the building material industry to put to use waste material products, e.g., worn out tyres, into useful and cost effective items. Success in this regard will contribute to the reduction of waste material dumping problems by utilizing the waste materials as raw material for other products. The present proposal involves a comprehensive laboratory study for the newer application of this waste material in the preparation of fibrous concrete. The primary objective of investigation is to study the strength behavior i.e. compressive strength, impact resistance of rubberized concrete with rubber chips. Volume variation of rubber chips with replacement to course aggregate. The proposed work is aimed to study the effect of volume of rubber chips on the compressive strength. Chetak A. An Investigation of the Interlayer Adhesion Strength in Deeper Layers of the ...AM Publications
A road pavement structure is typically composed of different layers arranged one on top of the other, all supported by a natural or improved subgrade. The main purpose of this configuration is to provide the most effective structure with adequate potential to spread traffic loading from the surface to the subgrade with minimum damage. In spite of material properties and construction techniques, researchers have shown that the overall pavement performance is significantly influenced by the interlayer adhesion condition throughout the pavement structure ([8], [11], [21], [22]). Lack of intimate contact between layers results in them acting as individuals rather than as a thick bonded unit. This therefore induces overloading of layers which leads to premature deterioration of the entire structure due to traffic induced distresses. This work, therefore investigated the interlayer adhesion characteristics between the granular base and the lightly cemented subbase of a typical South African pavement structure. The influence of bonding condition on the overall pavement performance was also studied. A series of interlayer direct shear tests was run on 300 x 300 mm samples made of two layers: a 100mm G2 Granular Base (GB) compacted on top of the 100mm Cement Treated Subbase (CTSB) composed of a G5 material stabilised with 1.8% of cement. Effects of the CTSB scarification, normal pressure and moisture conditions were analysed whereby the results of the interlayer strength tests were compared with those of intra-layer strength tests. The comparative analysis showed that scarifying the CTSB before laying the GB enhances intimate contact between two layers and stimulates the unison interaction which, according to structural modelling results, improves the overall pavement performance.

Living in 21st century in itself reminds all of us the necessity of police and its administration. As more and more we are entering into the modern society and culture, the more we require the services of the so called ‘Khaki Worthy’ men i.e., the police personnel. Whether we talk of Indian police or the other nation’s police, they all have the same recognition as they have in India. But as already mentioned, their services and requirements are different after the like 26th November, 2008 incidents, where they without saving their own lives has sacrificed themselves without any hitch and without caring about their respective family members and wards. In other words, they are like our heroes and mentors who can guide us from the darkness of fear, militancy, corruption and other dark sides of life and so on. Now the question arises, if Gandhi would have been alive today, what would have been his reaction/opinion to the police and its functioning? Would he have some thing different in his mind now what he had been in his mind before the partition or would he be going to start some Satyagraha in the form of some improvement in the functioning of the police administration? Really these questions or rather night mares can come to any one’s mind, when there is too much confusion is prevailing in our minds, when there is too much corruption in the society and when the polices working is also in the questioning because of one or the other case throughout the India. It is matter of great concern that we have to thing over our administration and our practical approach because the police personals are also like us, they are part and parcel of our society and among one of us, so why we all are pin pointing towards them.

ATTRITION IN THE IT INDUSTRY DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC: LINKING EMOTIONAL INTE...IAEME Publication
Globally, Millions of dollars were spent by the organizations for employing skilled Information Technology (IT) professionals. It is costly to replace unskilled employees with IT professionals possessing technical skills and competencies that aid in interconnecting the business processes. The organization’s employment tactics were forced to alter by globalization along with technological innovations as they consistently diminish to remain lean, outsource to concentrate on core competencies along with restructuring/reallocate personnel to gather efficiency. As other jobs, organizations or professions have become reasonably more appropriate in a shifting employment landscape, the above alterations trigger both involuntary as well as voluntary turnover. The employee view on jobs is also afflicted by the COVID-19 pandemic along with the employee-driven labour market. So, having effective strategies is necessary to tackle the withdrawal rate of employees. By associating Emotional Intelligence (EI) along with Talent Management (TM) in the IT industry, the rise in attrition rate was analyzed in this study. Only 303 respondents were collected out of 350 participants to whom questionnaires were distributed. From the employees of IT organizations located in Bangalore (India), the data were congregated. A simple random sampling methodology was employed to congregate data as of the respondents. Generating the hypothesis along with testing is eventuated. The effect of EI and TM along with regression analysis between TM and EI was analyzed. The outcomes indicated that employee and Organizational Performance (OP) were elevated by effective EI along with TM.

By implementing talent management strategy, organizations would have the option to retain their skilled professionals while additionally working on their overall performance. It is the course of appropriately utilizing the ideal individuals, setting them up for future top positions, exploring and dealing with their performance, and holding them back from leaving the organization. It is employee performance that determines the success of every organization. The firm quickly obtains an upper hand over its rivals in the event that its employees having particular skills that cannot be duplicated by the competitors. Thus, firms are centred on creating successful talent management practices and processes to deal with the unique human resources. Firms are additionally endeavouring to keep their top/key staff since on the off chance that they leave; the whole store of information leaves the firm's hands. The study's objective was to determine the impact of talent management on organizational performance among the selected IT organizations in Chennai. The study recommends that talent management limitedly affects performance. On the off chance that this talent is appropriately management and implemented properly, organizations might benefit as much as possible from their maintained assets to support development and productivity, both monetarily and non-monetarily.
A STUDY OF VARIOUS TYPES OF LOANS OF SELECTED PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECTOR BANKS...IAEME Publication
Banking regulations act of India, 1949 defines banking as “acceptance of deposits for the purpose of lending or investment from the public, repayment on demand or otherwise and withdrawable through cheques, drafts order or otherwise”, the major participants of the Indian financial system are commercial banks, the financial institution encompassing term lending institutions. Investments institutions, specialized financial institution and the state level development banks, non banking financial companies (NBFC) and other market intermediaries such has the stock brokers and money lenders are among the oldest of the certain variants of NBFC and the oldest market participants. The asset quality of banks is one of the most important indicators of their financial health. The Indian banking sector has been facing severe problems of increasing Non- Performing Assets (NPAs). The NPAs growth directly and indirectly affects the quality of assets and profitability of banks. It also shows the efficiency of banks credit risk management and the recovery effectiveness. NPA do not generate any income, whereas, the bank is required to make provisions for such as assets that why is a double edge weapon. This paper outlines the concept of quality of bank loans of different types like Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of selected public and private sector banks. This study is highlighting problems associated with the role of commercial bank in financing Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SME). The overall objective of the research was to assess the effect of the financing provisions existing for the setting up and operations of MSMEs in the country and to generate recommendations for more robust financing mechanisms for successful operation of the MSMEs, in turn understanding the impact of MSME loans on financial institutions due to NPA. There are many research conducted on the topic of Non- Performing Assets (NPA) Management, concerning particular bank, comparative study of public and private banks etc. In this paper the researcher is considering the aggregate data of selected public sector and private sector banks and attempts to compare the NPA of Housing, Agriculture and MSME loans in state Haryana of public and private sector banks. The tools used in the study are average and Anova test and variance. The findings reveal that NPA is common problem for both public and private sector banks and is associated with all types of loans either that is housing loans, agriculture loans and loans to SMES. NPAs of both public and private sector banks show the increasing trend. In 2010-11 GNPA of public and private sector were at same level it was 2% but after 2010-11 it increased in many fold and at present there is GNPA in some more than 15%. It shows the dark area of Indian banking sector.

ROLE OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT OF INDIA - PROBLEMS AND ...IAEME Publication
The majority of the population in India lives in villages. The village is the back bone of the country. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Developing the rural economy is one of the key indicators towards a country’s success. Whether it be the need to look after the welfare of the farmers or invest in rural infrastructure, Governments have to ensure that rural development isn’t compromised. The economic development of our country largely depends on the progress of rural areas and the standard of living of rural masses. Village or rural industries play an important role in the national economy, particularly in the rural development. Rural entrepreneurship is based on stimulating local entrepreneurial talent and the subsequent growth of indigenous enterprises. It recognizes opportunity in the rural areas and accelerates a unique blend of resources either inside or outside of agriculture. Rural entrepreneurship brings an economic value to the rural sector by creating new methods of production, new markets, new products and generate employment opportunities thereby ensuring continuous rural development. Social Entrepreneurship has the direct and primary objective of serving the society along with the earning profits. So, social entrepreneurship is different from the economic entrepreneurship as its basic objective is not to earn profits but for providing innovative solutions to meet the society needs which are not taken care by majority of the entrepreneurs as they are in the business for profit making as a sole objective. So, the Social Entrepreneurs have the huge growth potential particularly in the developing countries like India where we have huge societal disparities in terms of the financial positions of the population. Still 22 percent of the Indian population is below the poverty line and also there is disparity among the rural & urban population in terms of families living under BPL. 25.7 percent of the rural population & 13.7 percent of the urban population is under BPL which clearly shows the disparity of the poor people in the rural and urban areas. The need to develop social entrepreneurship in agriculture is dictated by a large number of social problems. Such problems include low living standards, unemployment, and social tension. The reasons that led to the emergence of the practice of social entrepreneurship are the above factors. The research problem lays upon disclosing the importance of role of social entrepreneurship in rural development of India. The paper the tendencies of social entrepreneurship in India, to present successful examples of such business for providing recommendations how to improve situation in rural areas in terms of social entrepreneurship development. Indian government has made some steps towards development of social enterprises, social entrepreneurship, and social in- novation, but a lot remains to be improved.
OPTIMAL RECONFIGURATION OF POWER DISTRIBUTION RADIAL NETWORK USING HYBRID MET...IAEME Publication
Distribution system is a critical link between the electric power distributor and the consumers. Most of the distribution networks commonly used by the electric utility is the radial distribution network. However in this type of network, it has technical issues such as enormous power losses which affect the quality of the supply. Nowadays, the introduction of Distributed Generation (DG) units in the system help improve and support the voltage profile of the network as well as the performance of the system components through power loss mitigation. In this study network reconfiguration was done using two meta-heuristic algorithms Particle Swarm Optimization and Gravitational Search Algorithm (PSO-GSA) to enhance power quality and voltage profile in the system when simultaneously applied with the DG units. Backward/Forward Sweep Method was used in the load flow analysis and simulated using the MATLAB program. Five cases were considered in the Reconfiguration based on the contribution of DG units. The proposed method was tested using IEEE 33 bus system. Based on the results, there was a voltage profile improvement in the system from 0.9038 p.u. to 0.9594 p.u.. The integration of DG in the network also reduced power losses from 210.98 kW to 69.3963 kW. Simulated results are drawn to show the performance of each case.

Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.
