This study investigates the effects of diabetes on lipid profiles and antioxidant vitamins in Nigerian adults, demonstrating that diabetic patients exhibit dyslipidemia and reduced levels of vitamins C and E compared to healthy controls. Fasting blood sugar levels were significantly higher in diabetic subjects, particularly among those aged 40 and above, indicating the need for further research into managing diabetes-related complications. The findings suggest that focusing on antioxidant vitamins may offer potential therapeutic avenues for diabetes management.
