What is the Value add of different companies in Cloud Ecosystem
There are 4 - 5 directions taken in the cloud ecosystem.
Connectivity

premise
2. This has given rise to security of the data and access control solutions.
1.The change in connectivity, Internet, data speeds and costs has resulted in easy accessibility of data over the Internet.
3. This has been supplemented by innovation in devices and IOT devices
and lower costs for these devices which has the same drivers and
issues as above namely access, security and data.
4. This has resulted in a number of companies aggregating data and
providing data storage and access services like Amazon, Google,
Azure etc. Driving down the cost of storage and ease of accessibility.

Azure
5. Driving down the cost of storage and ease of accessibility. Which again
drives adoption. Resulting in special companies in the ecosystem.
Lets look at the different companies in the cloud ecosystem
Lets look at the different types of companies in Cloud Ecosystem
1. First there are companies which provide data storage in the cloud.
These are called Cloud Data Access companies. These companies go
for scale and price and provide easy to access at a price. Public cloud.
3. They have different kind of mechanisms to pay and increases the
complexity. Some charge for each time you read the data and some
have storage. So there are a host of companies to manage this
complexity. Companies like Digital Ocean, Netrepid,Mirantis, Ansible,
proxmox etc, each in adjacent areas. Lets call them decomplexing
cloud companies. Each claims to make it simple and manage your
price, connectivity, security and operational management concerns.
They don’t provide physical servers like the above companies but
management of that servers and complexity.
4. Next you have very niche companies like Datadog or monitoring
companies which provide a niche in monitoring operational efficiency
or costs.

2. Next there are companies, which provide private cloud due to security
concerns. These typically could be small sized data center companies
like Interaxion, Equinix. These typically has lot of network options
which seeks to reduce networking price. And provide low latency
for applications which are critical for users.

6. Buts lets not forget the old ones like Government or Public sector,
Office and Industry which already exists
5. Now you need to put something on the infrastructure to manage
your business. Before that lets concider the physical world or
devices and IoT. These are the new data services. And either there
are existing companies offering services or edge companies
making IOT products offering these services.

7. Now that you have data and lots of it, you need to manage it. So
there are companies like elastic, databricks, snowflake which
address this and help organize data. So we go back to the data
ware house organized concept versus the Data lake dump
concept, where you do ETL to transform data lake to DW quality.

9. There is one offshoot called data and process companies. Since
data and processes go hand in hand. These could be AI or non AI
Cos like Ebuilder or Sales Force, which focus on business process.
8. Now that you have data, you need to analyse data and find
patterns and knowledge from that data, call it Machine learning
or Data mining companies. Or Analyse data patterns companies.
