What Is Soccer Corruption
Imagine a sports game, and the few people already known the results and events
that will happen in that game. That may sound someone has some sort of
superpower but in reality the game was already fix in a meeting with some high
officials, players and referees with huge amount of money transaction between
them. Corruption in soccer is a leading cause of biasedness in the game, and a
major step must be taken to make the game of soccer less corrupt and fair. The
Beautiful Game quoted by many supporters and followers. Soccer is the most loved
and followed sports with about four billion followers and supporters throughout the
world. The large fan base comes great responsibility to the governing bodies which

Different revelation has been made from the first trail of the local bodies
corruption on The FA, Brazilian FA and others to the head of the soccer association.
The authors have mainly argued about the effects and the work that have been done
to stop corruption from soccer. Although many committees have been formed to
investigate the situation of corruption in today s soccer there have been a very
little change to it. I believe the increasing corruption in soccer can have very bad
effect on the game which can eventually lose millions of fans and followers. The
corruption has caused very negative impact towards the next generation of players
and supporters that their favorite game has been ruined mostly by some people with
much control on it due to corruption. The main problem that have caused corruption
in my view and many of the articles and journals on corruption on soccer is the
unmanaged distributions of funds allocated only by certain number of people without
discussing with the committee. The sole power of some people like the former
president of FIFA Sepp Blatter has caused an unbalance in the account of these
bodies. The details of the distribution of funds has to be transparent and selling their
votes by taking money from someone has to be stopped in order to make this game

The Marriage Is A Private Affair By Chinua Achebe
This is a review for one of the most influencing and wonderful works of Chinua
Achebe, the Marriage is a Private Affair which is about a man named Nnaemeka
from the Igbo (Ibo) tribe who wants to marry an Ibibio woman, Nene, who lives in
Lagos; a cosmopolitan and the capital city of Nigeria. But his father Okeke
opposes and does not want the idea of their marriage. This short story is in the most
famous compilation of short stories of Achebe which is the Girls at War and Other
Stories (1972); set during the chaotic Nigerian Civil War in 1967 1970. For us to
have more deep understanding of this story, let us first see a brief background of its
author Chinua Achebe. Chinua Achebe came from the Igbo tribe, an ethnic group

Okeke, Nnaemeka s father, opposes their marriage because their traditional way of
marriage is the parents are the one who arrange the engagement. Moreover, one
could only love a person who speaks the same tongue as he/she. And according to
Okeke, marriage is not all about love. What matters is the one who Nnaemeka will
marry should have a good character and a Christian background like Ugoye which
Okeke wants for his son. And this provokes the anger of Okeke. Okeke does not
really like Nene, especially when he heard from his son that Nene is a Christian
but a teacher in a Girls School in Lagos because it is opposing to his Christian
belief which St. Paul says in the Bible that women should not teach and should
keep silence only. But saying these does not stop Nnaemeka from marrying Nene
because for him, you marry a person because of love. We could already see here in
this part of the story the clash between two generations; the old and the young or
new. Achebe shows that there are always conflicts between the old and young/new
generations. Okeke is the representation of the old generation of Nigeria who
preserves the old or native traditions of his country while Nnaemeke and Nene are the
representation of the young/new generation who are greatly driven and influenced by
the western colonization. But in the first part of the
Theme Of Religion In Cold Blood
Religion Never Sacrificed to Darkness of Circumstances In Cold Blood by Truman
Capote follows the story of two men who ruthlessly murdered a family of four, in the
small town of Holcomb, Kansas. The nonfiction novel follows the murderers closely
and gives insight into their thoughts and actions some of which confuse and disturb
the general populace. The inclusion of details such as the souls in sleeping Holcomb
(Capote5) whose innocence was murdered along with the Clutter family the night of
the silent shotgun blasts, the yellow parrot described in Perry Smiths dreams, the
argument held over penalties in the courtroom, and the final words Dick Hickock
heard before his death on rope for bloody crime (Capote 337), emphasize the theme
that religion is firmly planted in all actions even those which seem unfathomable to
most of society. In the beginning of the novel, Capote describes the community of
Holcomb as a peaceful congregation of neighbors and old friends (Capote 88).
Everyone was involved in 4 H with the Clutters, went to school with Nancy and
Kenyon, or attended church with the family every Sunday. However, their
attendance at the local Methodist church each week did not prevent the feeling of a
cold barrel of a shotgun pressed against each their heads just before their deaths. All
their lifestyle did was confuse the authorities, who thought Of all the people in all the
world, the Clutters were the least likely to be murdered (Capote 85). This imposes

Basketball Essay
Since its conception in 1891, the sport of basketball has always been a catalyst for
excitement that never ceases to amuse its viewers. It not only excites those
participating in the sport, but also manages to innervate those who watch from the
comfort of their couch. This surge in energy continues to persuade even the most
indolent individuals to join in a friendly game of basketballevery once in awhile.
Basketball has long been praised as an elegant sport because of its focus on
accuracy, precision, and teamwork. Qualities such as these are the main reason that
basketball is gradually becoming America s national pastime. Despite its fame and
recognition, basketball was merely created as a hobby and was never intended to

The sport became so popular that the National Basketball Association (NBA) was
created in order to supply the nation with a televised center of professional
basketball. A mere 8 teams were expected, and almost obligated, to entertain a nation
of excitement craving sports fans. The creators of the NBA saw that this would
become a debilitating problem and over the next 30 years nearly tripled to 22 teams
stationed throughout the country. Along with this increase in professional teams, the
founders of the NBA wanted to create a new league to increase the NBA s variety.
This led to the American Basketball Association(ABA) being created and providing
even more fierce competition between superstar caliber talent. The ABA quickly
gained popularity due to the players who rebelled against the idea of basketball
fundamentals and instead opted to perform flashy moves that bedazzled the
audience. In 1976, the NBA and the ABA combined to for the NBA that we all
know and recognize today. This was a direct result of integration in major sports and
was done as a marketing technique that would help gain the less bigoted fans. From
then on, the NBA continued to dominate the sports world and has made many of its
players into household names. This has quickly allowed basketball to become
America s favorite pastime with over 48% of adults admitting that basketball was
there favorite sport.

Loss Of The Ageing Adult Population
Losses and Grief in the Ageing Adult Population
Loss is defined as the experience of having something taken from you or destroyed
(Loss, 2016). In the senior population losses become more common and frequent due
to dwindling health circumstances, among other circumstances. Functional losses
experienced by the elderly include physical performance, balance, mobility, and
muscle strength (Nakano, Otonari, Takara, Carmo Tanaka, 2014, p. 583). Situational
or circumstantial losses may be the loss of a partner or the loss of a home due to
being transferred into a retirement home or health care facility. Losses are enhanced
by any diseases a person may have making it more difficult to deal with these
losses. Taking a look at diabetes; diabetes plays a key role in many individuals in
the older adult population lives, more than 25% of adults over the age of 65 in
America have been diagnosed with diabetes (Kirkman, 2012, p. 2650). This disease
alters the rate of which losses are experienced and in turn how the elderly grief over
the loss. Diabetic patients are more likely to experience depression and diabetic
patients are more likely to undergo amputation from limb loss (Spiess, McLemore,
Zinyemba, Ortiz Meyr, 2014, p. 1068). Being diagnosed with diabetes impacts every
aspect of one s life and creates difficulties in caring for oneself that need to be
dutifully addressed.

Examples Of Proctor In The Crucible
A tragic hero is no ordinary man; he possesses outstanding qualities, however is
doomed for failure. Arthur Miller portrays the protagonist, Proctor, as the tragic hero
of his play The Crucible. Throughout the play, Miller uses the Salem Witch trials as
a catalyst for Proctor s crucial development. Proctor changes from a normal citizen
and sinner to a tragic herowith a high sense of morality. The evolution of his character
is due to vairous situations that require moral responses. A tragic hero often pertains
to the nature or character of a person. Their attributes may include having a tragic
flaw, falling from a great height in society and meeting death.
Miller determines Proctor as the tragic hero by conveying him with a fatal flaw.
Proctor s ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Initially Proctor is unable to criticize people, as he is an example of a sinner and it
would be hypocritical to accuse others while lacking morality. However, by
admitting to Abigail that he [is] done having known her, Miller shows the
audience how his character has developed an understanding of his own flaw.
Similarly, Proctor admits his wrong doing to his wife by wilt[ing], and like a
Christian [he] confessed. This simile represents his guilt from committing
adultery, as the religious imagery heightens the pity the audience has for the
protagonist. Proctor s character development of confessing his flaw to the court is
another example Miller uses to convince to audience that he is a tragic hero. Miller
employs Proctor s belief that the witch accusations are vengeance of Abigail as she
thinks to dance with [him] on [his] wife s grave. Therefore, Miller utilizes dialogue
in the court of Proctor stating he has known [Abigail]. This shows his maturity as a
character by ignoring that his name will be destroyed. Miller shows Proctor risking
his reputation in various circumstances to display his identity of the tragic hero.
Miller presents Proctor against the hysteria and injustice and ready to suffer the
consequences of his actions. Hence a situation is created where the audience is
positioned to sympathize for Proctor, as he falls from a great

Natural Law And The Preservation Of Human Life
Natural law and the Preservation of Human Life
Donald J. Moore
Webster University

Natural Law and the Preservation of Human Life In order to address the scenarios
in this assignment, one must define the when life begins. According to Thomas
Aquinas God created the universe and all plants, animals and life of all types under
the doctrine of External Law. Based on his vision, God instilled Natural Law in law
to fulfill the parameters of External Law. Self preservation is not only a function of
protecting one s self being, but also by ensuring the species survives. This is
accomplished through the second inclination of procreation. Aquinas teachings
proclaim that God created the universe and by doing so, created all life. So logic
must dictate that life begins at conception and that the developing fetus has already
been instilled with Natural Law.
A young woman who is four months pregnant has recently discovered that she has
tuberculosis. The doctor informs her that she must take a drug that will cure her
disease, but that the drug will also have the effect of aborting the fetus. There is no
other available drug that will cure her disease, and if she does not take the drug
immediately she will die. According to natural law, may the young woman take the
drug? Both the mother and the fetus are innocent human lives. Even though the fetus
may not be capable of understanding, it is still a life and is dependent upon the
mother for life. However, the fetus
Essay about Realism in British Soap Opera
Realism in British Soap Opera Using a media text as a key example, evaluate
selected techniques of fictional production which contribute to a sense of realism
consistent with genre or format used.
Many have defined the term realism but these definitions by Watt and Williams can
be easily applied to my choice of media text, which is the British soap opera.
Fiske writes that Watt and Williams ....tend to define it by its content. Watt traces its
origins to the rise of the novel in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. And
Williams ...whose historical perspective covers the nineteenth and twentieth centuries,
lists three main characteristics of realism in drama: he finds that it has a contemporary
setting, that it ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Socially extended characteristic can be seen with most of the main characters
working in the factory or pub. Although characters are present that wouldn t be
strictly defined as working class such as Mike Baldwin who owns the factory or
Natalie Barnes who owns the pub, in Coronation Street it is important to note that
these characters are easily immediately visible to the working class.
Many commentators compare British Soaps with American soaps when discussing
Realism. Realism is one of those words, like morality or wealth, whose definition is
subjective. On the soaps reality is an artificial thing that is always being manipulated
for the plot s benefit... British soaps work in a naturalistic context which the
American soaps do not attempt.....the British go for what I might call a flattened
reality, a middle brow nuts and bolts, everyday sort of reality.
(All For Love, A Study in Soap Opera, Peter Buckingham, Secker Warberg 1984,
p.45)
American Soap Operas such as Dallas or Dynasty are set in a contemporary setting
but they are not concerned with secular action. These soaps rely on extravagant
story lines, a famous one being one character being abducted by aliens this is not the
typical experience of the working class as discussed by Williams.
These American Soaps also don t conform to the Socially
Gen Cos Observation Report
Given the desertion of his soldiers we can observe another bias from Gen. Cos.
More specifically that the soldiers were under his control, morale was in good
standing and that the soldiers were onboard with the current campaign. Lastly, Gen.
Cos should have employed his scouts units more effectively, in order to better
monitor the movements of the Texan militia. In doing so he would have been able to
recognize that the Texans had a scout unit on the lookout for the return of Col.
Ugartechea. Taking into consideration all of these ways to counter biases and fill the
intelligence gaps that Gen. Cos had in this particular battle, let s evaluate how history
could have been rewritten. By eliminating the observation post, Gen. Cos and his

Essay on The Allegory in The Minister’s Black Veil
The Allegory in The Minister s Black Veil
It is the purpose of this essay to show that Nathaniel Hawthorne s The Minister s
Black Veil is indeed an allegory. M. H. Abrams defines an allegory as a narrative,
whether in prose or verse, in which the agents and actions, and sometimes the setting
as well, are contrived by the author to make coherent sense on the literal, or primary,
level of signification, and at the same time to signify a second, correlated order of
signification (5).
Yvor Winters in Maule s Curse, or Hawthorne and the Problem of Allegory says that
Hawthorne is essentially an allegorist (11). Stanley T. Williams in Hawthorne s
Puritan Mind states that the author was always perfecting ... Show more content on

Generally speaking, his parishioners fail to appreciate the meaning of the veil, but
they are more spiritually helped when listening to the minister s sermons, when
attending a funeral which Hooper conducts, and when at the hour of death.
At the outset of the tale the sexton is tolling the church bell and simultaneously
watching Mr. Hooper s door, when suddenly he says, ``But what has good Parson
Hooper got upon his face? The surprise which the sexton displayed is repeated in
the astonishment of the onlookers: With one accord they started, expressing more
wonder. . . The reason is this: Swathed about his forehead, and hanging down over his
face, so low as to be shaken by his breath is a black veil. The 30 year old, unmarried
parson receives a variety of reactions from his congregation:
``I can t really feel as if good Mr. Hooper s face was behind that piece of crape
``He has changed himself into something awful, only by hiding his face
``Our parson has gone mad!
Few could refrain from twisting their heads towards the door. . . .
. . . more than one woman of delicate nerves was forced to leave the
meeting house.
At this point begins the external conflict of the drama between the minister and the
people of his congregation, which will last until his death. Except for the sable veil,
Reverend Hooper is quite a compatible and sociable personality:

Toddler Mattress Research Paper
The Best Toddler Mattress for Cheap
When you have a little one to care for, you will find that there are an insane amount
of baby and toddler products available. It gets overwhelming for parents to try and
figure out which products are the best, especially when it comes to mattresses. There
are toddler mattresses, infant mattresses, organic mattresses, mattresses that are
covered by waterproof material, and more. If that doesn t make it hard enough to
decide on, you also have different prices. Is a cheap toddler mattress as good as a
more expensive one? Can you really afford the more expensive options? Our goal is
to take the guesswork out of crib mattresses. That is why we went in search of the
best toddler mattress for cheap prices.
Difference ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Is there really a difference between the two? The answer is, Yes. Infants need to be
supported throughout the night. It has been proven that a baby will sleep safer on
a firmer sleep surface. Many infant mattresses have very little padding so that you
do not have to worry about them rolling in their sleep and being unable to breathe
because of the mattress over their face. On the other hand, toddler mattresses are not
as firm. Toddlers are beyond the risk of SIDS and more able to adjust the way they
are laying.
Do Infant Mattresses Fit in Traditional Cribs?
Traditional style cribs are generally one size fits all. They are designed to be used
from infancy through toddlerhood. For this reason, if you have a crib that is not
portable, a mattress, whether rated for infants or toddlers, will fit in your crib. You
do not have to worry about a gap between the mattress and the crib rails. As an
added bonus, it also means that they can also work when it is time to move a child
into a toddler bed. This makes it even easier to find cheap toddler beds with mattress,
because you already have the mattress.

Canadian Civilian Gun Ownership Regulations
It will go down in history as the day Canadians stopped feeling so safe. In the early
hours of the morning on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, Michael Zehaf Bibeau, a 32
year old Canadian born Islam convert, fatally shot a soldier with a hunting rifle at the
National War Memorial in Ottawa before opening fire at nearby Parliament Hill.
Gunfire echoed through the hallowed halls of the Centre Block just inches away
from where the Canadian government was preparing to debate legislation that would
relax gun control regulations. This tragic incident has unsurprisingly ignited debate
about gun control laws in Canada, and sparked questions about the country s
supposed culture of safety and openness. While relatively rare in Canada, historical...

possess guns. In 1977, the House of Commons passed Bill C 51, establishing new
kinds of gun ownership permits called firearms acquisition certificates, which
increased barriers to access by requiring applicants to pass background checks. The
movement for stronger and more effective gun control was reinvigorated a decade
later in the aftermath of the worst shooting incident in Canadian history: the
Montreal Massacre. On December 6, 1989, twenty five year old Marc LГ©pine took
a sixty student engineering classroom hostage at Г‰cole Polytechnique with a
legally obtained Mini 14 hunting rifle. Expressing anti feminist sentiments, he
allowed fifty male students to safely exit the room before turning his gun on the
remaining nine women, killing six and wounding three. LГ©pine then continued his
carnage in the school s corridors, cafeteria, classrooms and offices, killing fourteen
women in total and injuring another fourteen people, including four men. Over the
next few years, public appeals for stricter gun control regulations grew increasingly
forceful, culminating in the 1995 Firearms Act, or Bill C 68. The Firearms Act
codified Canada s gun control laws as they exist today. Specifically, it implemented a
new federal licensing system, mandated the registration of all

The horse world impact in the European economy is close to 108 billion U.S.

such as Germany and Ireland. In Ireland, racing, breeding, and equestrian sports are
the three main parts of the equine industry. Despite it being a rather small country,
it holds a very high position nationally in all three parts. Ireland has a long history
with horsemanship skills that contribute to it being the third largest breeder of

The And Object Of Annexation
Several issues can occur when purchasing land. For example, Alfie is concerned with
fixtures and chattels. Roxie s dilemma is concerned with conveyancing process and
proprietary estoppel. Fixtures and chattels are difficult to determine because there
opposing opinions which contradict one another. Nevertheless, the degree and object
of annexation test can help determine the status of an item. This essay will evaluate
the items to see whether they are fixtures or chattels whilst, demonstrating how the
burden of proof can show otherwise. In relation to Roxie, this essay will demonstrate
the problems that can occur during the conveyancing process and how proprietary
estoppel can be used to protect an individual s interests.
In regards to the different items, Peggy may argue that these items were personal
property. If they were, Alfie has no right to claim these items. However, if the items
have become part of the land, they are fixtures. Alfie would be able to claim these
items if they were fixtures because when land is transferred, it is transferred with all
the fixtures that are not expressly excluded. This is supported by legislation A
conveyance of land shall be deemed to include and shall by virtue of this Act operate
to convey, with the land...fixtures Peggy has completed a contract; therefore she is
not entitled to remove the fixtures. The contract transfers the legal and equitable
ownership of the land to Alfie. Unfortunately, determining whether an item is a

A Experiment On The Wind Tunnel
The first part of this experiment involved testing three wing designs in a wind
tunnel. First, the wind tunnel was turned on with nothing inside and the flow
velocity was recorded. Then, the first airfoil, a pre built standard NACA 0024, was
tested. It was put in the wind tunnel in the 0В° slot on the Kelvin Lift Drag Balance
arm and locked in place. The balance was then calibrated so that the LIFT value read
zero, and the wind tunnel was turned on to its high setting. Once the wind tunnel
reached its maximum speed of approximately 6 m/s, the value for LIFT was recorded
and the wind tunnel was turned off. These steps were then repeated but with the airfoil
in the 5В°, 10В°, and 15В° slots in the Kelvin Lift Drag Balance arm.
After testing the NACA 0024 airfoil, the test was repeated using the pre built
NACA 4418 airfoil. Then, the NACA 0018 airfoil was tested. This airfoil was
constructed from an assembly kit using hot glue and scissors. First, the four cross
sectional pieces were dry fitted onto the three spars. Then, one at a time, they were
hot glued into place. Next, the orange plastic locking piece was screwed securely
onto the center spar, with the rounded surface facing the leading edge of the airfoil.
Finally, the paper template was cut along the designated lines and attached to the
cross sectional pieces. First, it was fit over the locking piece on the bottom side of
the wing, and it was hot glued onto the spars, working from the trailing ends of the

Apple Swot Analysis Essay
Weaknesses
High price is the major weakness of Apple because there is a strong completion in
market now, and the consumer of Apple products can easily obtain the similar
function products by its competitors in a lower price. Decreasing market share can
be caused to less influence its customers to using closed ecosystem of Apple. Apple
Company is often blamed by other companies to disobeying their patents and also it
has lost some trials as well. Such type of things can damage Apple s reputation in
market. In 2012, Tim Cook became a new CEO after the death of Steve Jobs, which
was the biggest loss for Apple Company. After some time John Browett and Scott
Forstall left the firm, this posed negative impact on management.
In tech industry, Apple s gross profit margin is highest but according to fear of
forecasters that Apple s current margin will not be continued due to increasing in
prices and tough competition.

Apple s market share will be increase due to high demand of iPad and iPad mini in

Three Ways That Surplus Wealth Distribution
Carnegie believed there are three ways that surplus wealth distribution takes place.
He believed that money could either be left to the families of the decedents,
..bequeathed for public purposes, ..or it can be administered during their lives by
its possessors. (Carnegie, 24) In leaving it to the families, Carnegie compares it to
monarchial countries where money is given to the first son and by this are failed to
be taught ambition and hopes and dreams. Money given to public purposes when
passing away is ok but it does not allow the philanthropist to see the good being
accomplished by that person. Therefore, the best distribution of wealthto Carnegie is
the administration of it throughout their lives because they get to see the positive
Spoon River Anthology Poem
With happiness in relationships continuing to decline as well at the rate of divorces
rising it is no surprise that marriage and love has lost the value it once had. Edgar
Lee Masters writer of the Spoon River Anthology also seems to feel that romantic
relationships have also lost its value during his time. He is able to display this though
several of his poems within the anthology. His unhappiness with love, romance,
relationships and marriageare shown through his poems that illustrate unhappy
marriages as well as the deaths connected to them.
Edgar Lee Masters uses the poem of Amanda Barker in order to show his own views
of relationships. Amanda Barker s relationship with her husband was without love
and full of hate. The Townspeople believed

Examine and compare the ways in which Pat Barker in Regeneration and
Wilfred Owen in his poetry explore the nature of life in the trenches.
Pat Barker and Wilfred Owen are both successful writers in delivering an insight
into trench life from the perspective of a soldier, although in different ways. Owen,
being a soldier himself, has had first hand experience of trench life and describes
the pity of war, in that war is a waste of young, innocent lives, and the bitterness of
the soldiers towards the people who do not have to fight. Whereas
Barker recreates trench life through the nightmares, hallucinations and memories of
the soldiers. Despite the fact that Barker is a modern woman writer she still manages

Owen describes how the waiting for the inevitable keeps the soldiers awake as the
night is silent and this is worse than the noise of activity. All these soldiers have to do
is wait and wonder what are we doing here? But nothing happens. In the sixth stanza
Owen refers to the ghosts drag home almost suggesting that the soldiers are alone, not
even their spirits can survive the emptiness of the trenches. To begin with, the images
in the poem appear to contrast with those in Regeneration as we see Sassoon looking
forward to sleeping in clean whit sheets, although we realise that he feels guilty that
he can enjoy this luxury and his comrades cannot. He says to Graves as he is seeing
him off at the station Dottyville is almost bearable knowing you don t have to be
vomited on, this gives us an insight into the physical well being of some of the
soldiers.
After Graves has gone Sassoon hates everybody, giggling girls, portly middle aged
men, women whose eyes settled on his wound stripe like flies indicating his
bitterness towards anybody that didn t have to fight and especially towards people
who appeared to have done well out of the war. This is the same attitude displayed
towards shirkers and pacifists. In regeneration when Mr. Prior comes to
Craiglockhart and find Billy unable to speak, he is convinced that his speech comes
when it s convenient and goes when it isn t
Anthony Comstock s Theory Of Morality
During the 19th century there was a revival in the belief of morality. It became the
focus of many people during this time, especially those who were very religious. It is
said that these fanatics of morality were very reminiscent of Puritanism.1 One man
was especially influenced by this fanaticism, named Anthony Comstock. Anthony
Comstock focused mainly on the vulgarity and the obscenity of those days, instead of
like others focusing on temperance, abolition, suffrage, and other prominent
movements. However, while working to abolish obscene works, he often violated the
rights of free speech for many people, but especially for women. To Anthony
Comstock, women speaking their minds in print became a thing of obscenity

The three organs I am doing research on are the spleen, gall bladder, and appendix.
As the spleen playing a role part of the immune system such as the appendix, it is
also involved in the digestive system with the gall bladder. The human spleen is
located in the upper far left part of the abdomen which is also, on the left side of the
stomach. The spleen comes in diverse shapes and sizes between different people,
but it is most commonly shaped like a fist, violet colored, and approximately four
inches long. The spleen has a lot of functions. The functions of the spleen include

spleen, and sickle cell. Splenomegaly, which is the enlarging of the spleen and which
is usually caused by virus related mononucleosis, liver disease, and blood cancers
such as, leukemia or even other conditions. Ruptured spleen causes life
threatening, perpetual bleeding. It can rupture immediately after an injury or
even or even days or weeks after the injury occurred. Sickle cell disease is
originally from anemia, which is the abnormality of red cells blocking the flow of
blood throw vessels and which may lead to organ damages. If you are anyone with
sickle cell you will need to get immunizations, or a vaccine to help prevent illnesses
that the spleen is helping to fight off. A treatment available for splenectomy is having
the spleen removed by a surgical procedure. During this procedure you may either use
laparoscopy, which is when you get several small cuts or, laparotomy when getting
one large cut. The human
Richard Branson s Influence On The Music Industry
Richard Branson (July 18, 1950 present) grew up in Surrey, England with his father,
Edward James Branson, and mother, Eve Branson. Throughout his entire life, he
struggled with dyslexia which caused him to drop out of school at age sixteen. Soon
after that, he started a magazine called Student, which, in order to support, he had to
start Virgin Records. In 1984, fifteen years after the start of Virgin Records, Virgin
Atlantic was created. Unfortunately for Richard Branson, Virgin Records in 1993 had
to be sold as it was slowly plummeting. Richard Branson recalls crying when he sold
it saying he remembers running down Ladbroke Grove, tears streaming down my

AL Timers Research Essay
The Boston University CTE Center is known for their extensive research of CTE.
According to their findings, By 2009, only 49 cases of CTE had ever been studied
pathologically and published in medical literature, so the disease is still poorly
understood (BU Medical Case Studies). In their brain bank of over 200 brains, 59
of the 62 deceased NFL players tested positive for CTE. Since it is impossible to
catch CTE in a living person, I propose looking at the various subtypes when
conducting my study. A review for AL timers Research and Therapy stated,
although the clinical presentation of CTE is varied and non specific, there are
adequate reports to date to suggest that there may be two clinical subtypes: one
subtype involving primarily behavioral or mood features (including explosivity or
violence) or both, and the other involving cognitive deficits (including impairments
in episodic memory, executive functioning, and attention) (Montenigro P.15). By
testing behavioral and mood changes as well as impairments in memory or

Advantages And Disadvantages Of Crop Protection
Crop protection is bought by horticultural makers, including agriculturists, farmers,
and others to ensure themselves against either the loss of their harvests because of
common debacles, for example, hail, dry spell, and surges, or the loss of income
because of decreases in the costs of agrarian things. The two general classifications
of product protection are called crop yield protection and harvestincome protection.
A rancher or producer might yearning to grow a harvest connected with a specific

specific quality might be connected with the hereditary structure of the product,

Balance Sheet and Goodwill
Goodwill is an intangible asset, probably the most intangible of all intangible assets,
hard to measure and even more difficult to account for. Goodwill today constitutes a
much larger part of acquisition prices than it did previously, resulting in a much
greater impact on financial statements.
During the twentieth century the concept of goodwill has changed significantly. In
the earlier days goodwill was thought of as the good and valuable relationships of a
proprietor of a business with his customers. The present concept is broader in that it
encompasses many more intangible economic factors of a business enterprise and
accountants now consider that goodwill results from the evaluation of the earning
power of a business by investors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is no wonder that managements, in order to avoid this reduction in reportable
earnings, frequently opt to use the pooling of interest method when they complete a
merger. Since no goodwill is created, over eager managers are able to pay outrageous
prices for acquisitions with little or no accountability on the balance sheet. Since it
makes no sense to have two different ways for accounting for a merger, the FASB
decided they should eliminate the pooling of interest method and force all
transactions to be done via the purchase method. Executives and politicians claimed
this will significantly reduce the number of mergers since the new standards would
cause reportable earnings to drop as soon as a company had completed an
acquisition. As a concession, the FASB will no longer require goodwill to be written
off unless the assets became impaired (which means it becomes clear that the
goodwill is not worth what the company paid for it).
The FASB s six members unanimously approved two new accounting standards on
Friday July 23, 2001. Financial Accounting Statement 141 will eliminate the pooling
of interest method for booking mergers. The method had been popular with
dealmakers because it allowed companies to do deals at a premium without marking
up their assets. These markups inflate the size of future amortization expenses and
depressed reported earnings, supporters of pooling said. The FASB also passed
Financial Accounting Statement 142 a closely related standard
Animal Cruelty And Captivity
Animal Cruelty and Captivity Animal cruelty has been an issue for many years.
Some people think it is discipline to harm animals. Other peoper try everything
they can to stop animal cruelty and captivity. This will always be an on going
problem. I am strongly against animal cruelty and the captivity of animals. For
example, in Denmark, a 9 month old lion was killed and dissected in front of a
crowd. The only reason this lion was killed is because they counldn t find a home
for the lion. I think that is so wrong. Another incident was also in Denmark. A 2
year old giraffe was killed because they didn t want inbreeding. The worst part of the
killing was, they dissected marius, the giraffe, and fed him to the lions. These are

Odysseusplays is the hero. Other archetypes in The Odysseyare the monster and the
father figure. Modern readers gain insight about Ancient Greek culture from the use
of archetypes in Homer s epic, The Odyssey.
The hero archetype is very important in this story. It is the main one and Odysseus
represents it. The hero always tries to defend the greater good at all costs. An
example when Odysseus was a hero, was when he saved his men from the the
Cyclops. Odysseus s plan was to escape and to also hurt the cyclops. After
completing his plan, Odysseus said, Cyclops, if ever mortal man inquire how you

Polyphemus doesn t care, since he s a monster, and eats some of the men. Another
monster in The Odyssey is Scylla. She s destructive because, She made her strike,
whisking six of my best men from the ship (p. 585). Charybdis also fits into the
monster archetypes. She was a giant whirlpool and When she vomited, all the sea

Tactics to implement the strategy
Kudler needs to find a way to know the business of its supplier or its distributors,
so as to reduce cost and the uncertainty that comes with doing business with them.
In doing so, they stand a better of surviving at long run in the market they intend to
dominate one stop shop. Kudler need to employ the porter s model so as to be
competitive. Kudler needs to analyze the threat of new competitors, the bargaining
power of suppliers, the bargaining of its customers, threat of substitute product or
services and rivalry among existing firms in the industry (Turban 2003). From the
products they offer, they have incorporated the bargaining power of customers into
consideration and providing substitutes in the same product line. The business level
strategy should be a mix of cost leadership strategy with differentiation strategy built

leadership, it requires firm to carry out its activities more efficiently than
competitors, passing some of the cost savings to consumers in the form of lower
prices (Gomez Mejia 2002). A differentiation strategy requires a firm to continuously
invest in the creation of new products or add new features to existing products so that
customers believe the products differ from those of
Mental Health Of African American Male Populations Essay
A survey was conducted by Sherrill L. Sellers (Miami University of Ohio), Harold
W. Neighbors, (University of Michigan), and Vence L. Bonham (Michigan State
University) in order to address the interaction between goal oriented stress and
overall well being in 399 college educated African American associated with a
historically black national fraternal organization all over the world. Mental health of
African Americanmale populations is poorly understood due to unique social, racial,
and psychological variables. Although many black men deem success possible, a
great number identify resistance to success in the form of prejudice, discrimination,
and minimal opportunities in comparison with their white counterpart. Due to this
background, the researchers attempted to answer the seemingly dichotomous
interaction between stress and mental health in this population. They hypothesized
that goal striving stress would be inversely related to mental health and that striving
related coping strategies, such as racial attribution and John Henryism, would
moderate the relationship between goal striving stress and mental health (514)
Furthermore, the researchers hypothesized interactions between goal striving stress
and two coping resources racial attribution and John Henryism (514). Finally, a third
hypothesis is that the active coping style called John Henryism should act as a buffer
when it comes to goal striving stress (514). It is important to note that the sample

Essay on Russian Revolution
During the 1900 s the Russian Government made it extremely hard for the

Provisional Government, whom later on were overthrown by Lenin and shortly after
the Bolsheviks took control over Russia. Russia was hard to develop because of the

The privileged nobles, who possessed land and serfs, supported his autocratic rule.
The main theme of the Russian history in the 19th century is that the non nobles
who detested the Czarist government asked for an improvement in their
disconsolate and deprived life. When the Czarist government ignored this matter
they revolted for the first time in 1905 and than for the second time in 1917 by
which the Czarist government was finally overthrown. Hungry strikers on March 8,
1917 mobbed the streets of Petrograd, their demand was bread. In order to appease
the misery of his people Czar Nicholas II resigned his throne to his brother, Michael.

The controversy lies with a payment made to farmers on September 2011, well
after the end of Diamond s fiscal year closing, July 31, 2011. Diamond classified
this particular payment to walnut farmers as a momentum payment of 30 to 40
cents per pound for the coming 2011 crop. However, the walnut farmers contend
that the payment was really a way to compensate them for their 2010 crop payment
deficiency. The walnut farmer s contention is very interesting. Essentially you can
draw two scenarios from the information that has been provided so far: Scenario 1.
The walnut farmers were indeed paid in full for their 2010 crop and the momentum
payment was truly a pre payment for the farmer s 2011 crop. Scenario 2. Diamond
insidiously understated 2011 accounts payable to walnut farmers as a way to bolster
their 2011 net income. Potentially Fraudulent 2011 Financial Statements The

Stigma And Treatment Of Depression

Depression has become a daunting problem around the world, with the World
Health Organization listing it as the leading cause of disability.1 As well, in 2030
it is anticipated to be second on a list of fifteen major disease burdens.2 In the
United States, depression is a large, but often overlooked epidemic. It is estimated
that 6.7% of the U.S. population suffer from depression yearly, with a lifetime
diagnosis rate of approximately 16%.3,4 Additionally, it is estimated that 4 5% of
adolescents are suffering from depression each year, with a lifetime prevalence rate of

The large time commitment and perceived unreliability of treatments are additional
barriers.9 Traditional treatments for depression, including outpatient therapy,
generally require weekly visits with a professional, limiting treatment to those who
have availability to make appointments during business hours. Starting and
maintaining medication often has a large time commitment with multiple follow up
appointments to assess and adjust the regiment. Furthermore, 26.6% of individuals
surveyed in 2009 stated that they believed they could handle their mental health
problems without treatment and 10.6% believed that treatment would not help.9
Prior Work There is a large body of work assessing the feasibility and effectiveness of
alternative therapy options. Computer and web based interventions have been proven
to be effective in both adults as well as adolescents. In a systematic review of online
and social networking interventions, researchers found that these programs can be
successful in preventing and treating depression in adolescents.7 It was also found
that adolescents were open to using technology based therapies because of their
immediacy and cost.7 The primary concern of technology based interventions was
patient attrition.7 Developing interventions that encourage high engagement and
motivation are essential as higher adherence to

The Novel Animal farm portrays Napoleon as a strong individual who rises to
power through the use of propaganda and manipulation. He is depicted as a god to
the other animals and their key to rise from the oppression of starvation, and over

depicted in the novel foreshadows how the animals put trust in an individual who
promised them a break free from the chains of slavery however as a result of this,
Napoleon slowly became more like the people who he promised to rid, thus resulting
in the animals developing human characteristics such as walking on two legs etc.
Napoleon is the salient image in the poster the reasoning behind his human like
characteristics e.g. facial hair, is to highlight how he ongoingly adopted human traits
as a result of his pig like attitudes towards the other members of the farm. His selfish
motives resulted in Napoleon becoming more like a human than any of the other
animals.
Napoleon is the only animal shown in the poster to be coloured and not
silhouetted, this is to reveal and accentuate how the animals of the farm have been
left in the shadows of Napoleon and his hidden agendas, whilst he sits in the light
isolating himself from any of the others. He enforces regulations and motives
through Squealer the tool of propaganda. The animals being left in the shadows,
encompasses and strengthens the ideals of a dictatorship. Napoleon outlines all of
the ideals of a dictator, he isolates himself and gets his superiors to speak on his
behalf, he inflicts and enforces fear into his own people, twists their minds, and he
uses his own peoples working labour, and produce for his own benefits and the
benefit for the higher class ( The pigs, dogs).
Some animals are left in the dark , reinforces and amplifies the idea of
The Golden Age Of Sports Essay
Destinee Holliday
Ms. Biltz
May 20, 2015
The Golden Age of Sports The 1920s was a great decade for the economy because
of the popularity in sports. The number of fans increased, which created the need for
new stadiums and raised the salary for sports stars. Sports in the 1920s went through
many changes in the time period known as the Roaring Twenties. New heroes, new
teams, and new leagues were emerging in sports. Some sports were just starting,
some were broadening their horizons, while others were just becoming more
popular. The media helped to make sports become more popular in the 1920s.
Movie houses showed videos of sports contests, which helped create stars.
Newspapers and magazines gave the sports reporter a new authority as the media
brought information about athletes and athletics to large audiences. Radio broadcasts
of college football and professional baseball began early in the 1920s. The media
supplied news but also manufactured it and, in the process, created and satisfied an
eager audience. The decade was the Golden Age of Sports . The 1920s were a
starting foundation for football. The most popular league, the NFL, was formed in
the 1920s. On August 20, 1920, the owner of four Ohio league teams met to form a
new professional league. On September 17, the team met again, changing its name to
APFA (American Professional Football Association). By 1923, the name was changed
to the National Football League (NFL). The 20 s brought in new styles of plays, such
Animal Farm Or Ussr Part II
Cliffy Smith James Hensley Pre IB LA 10 10 April 2015 Animal Farm or USSR
Part II Animal Farm written by George Orwell is a hopeful novel about a group of
animals that overthrow their farmer and create an animalistic government. Much
like All the King s Men a novel by Robert Penn Warren, Animal Farm has strong
political undertones relating to the the skewed government of Soviet Russia.
Throughout the book many animal characters can be identified with the political
leaders and influences throughout Soviet Russia. According to New World
Encyclopedia, New Historicism is an approach to literary criticism and literary
theory based on the premise that a literary work should be considered a product of
the time, place, and historical circumstances of its composition rather than as an
isolated work of art or text. Animal Farm and it s direct correlation with the USSR
connects New Historicism and the impactful writing of Orwell with fluidity and
ease. New Historicism is a criticism developed in the 1980 s by a Harvard English
professor named Stephen Greenblatt. This criticism takes a look at every aspect of
the story including the author s political and emotional bias. It was used to bring
outside information and cultural context into the book and create a deeper meaning
for the reader. New Historicism gained widespread influence in the 90 s through its
new way for reading and analyzing a story. Judith Newton explains New Historicism
as a criticism that aims to subject the

  • 2. What Is Soccer Corruption Imagine a sports game, and the few people already known the results and events that will happen in that game. That may sound someone has some sort of superpower but in reality the game was already fix in a meeting with some high officials, players and referees with huge amount of money transaction between them. Corruption in soccer is a leading cause of biasedness in the game, and a major step must be taken to make the game of soccer less corrupt and fair. The Beautiful Game quoted by many supporters and followers. Soccer is the most loved and followed sports with about four billion followers and supporters throughout the world. The large fan base comes great responsibility to the governing bodies which manages the different competitions... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Different revelation has been made from the first trail of the local bodies corruption on The FA, Brazilian FA and others to the head of the soccer association. The authors have mainly argued about the effects and the work that have been done to stop corruption from soccer. Although many committees have been formed to investigate the situation of corruption in today s soccer there have been a very little change to it. I believe the increasing corruption in soccer can have very bad effect on the game which can eventually lose millions of fans and followers. The corruption has caused very negative impact towards the next generation of players and supporters that their favorite game has been ruined mostly by some people with much control on it due to corruption. The main problem that have caused corruption in my view and many of the articles and journals on corruption on soccer is the unmanaged distributions of funds allocated only by certain number of people without discussing with the committee. The sole power of some people like the former president of FIFA Sepp Blatter has caused an unbalance in the account of these bodies. The details of the distribution of funds has to be transparent and selling their votes by taking money from someone has to be stopped in order to make this game meaningful
  • 3. The Marriage Is A Private Affair By Chinua Achebe This is a review for one of the most influencing and wonderful works of Chinua Achebe, the Marriage is a Private Affair which is about a man named Nnaemeka from the Igbo (Ibo) tribe who wants to marry an Ibibio woman, Nene, who lives in Lagos; a cosmopolitan and the capital city of Nigeria. But his father Okeke opposes and does not want the idea of their marriage. This short story is in the most famous compilation of short stories of Achebe which is the Girls at War and Other Stories (1972); set during the chaotic Nigerian Civil War in 1967 1970. For us to have more deep understanding of this story, let us first see a brief background of its author Chinua Achebe. Chinua Achebe came from the Igbo tribe, an ethnic group mostly living in the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Okeke, Nnaemeka s father, opposes their marriage because their traditional way of marriage is the parents are the one who arrange the engagement. Moreover, one could only love a person who speaks the same tongue as he/she. And according to Okeke, marriage is not all about love. What matters is the one who Nnaemeka will marry should have a good character and a Christian background like Ugoye which Okeke wants for his son. And this provokes the anger of Okeke. Okeke does not really like Nene, especially when he heard from his son that Nene is a Christian but a teacher in a Girls School in Lagos because it is opposing to his Christian belief which St. Paul says in the Bible that women should not teach and should keep silence only. But saying these does not stop Nnaemeka from marrying Nene because for him, you marry a person because of love. We could already see here in this part of the story the clash between two generations; the old and the young or new. Achebe shows that there are always conflicts between the old and young/new generations. Okeke is the representation of the old generation of Nigeria who preserves the old or native traditions of his country while Nnaemeke and Nene are the representation of the young/new generation who are greatly driven and influenced by the western colonization. But in the first part of the
  • 4. Theme Of Religion In Cold Blood Religion Never Sacrificed to Darkness of Circumstances In Cold Blood by Truman Capote follows the story of two men who ruthlessly murdered a family of four, in the small town of Holcomb, Kansas. The nonfiction novel follows the murderers closely and gives insight into their thoughts and actions some of which confuse and disturb the general populace. The inclusion of details such as the souls in sleeping Holcomb (Capote5) whose innocence was murdered along with the Clutter family the night of the silent shotgun blasts, the yellow parrot described in Perry Smiths dreams, the argument held over penalties in the courtroom, and the final words Dick Hickock heard before his death on rope for bloody crime (Capote 337), emphasize the theme that religion is firmly planted in all actions even those which seem unfathomable to most of society. Initially Proctor is unable to criticize people, as he is an example of a sinner and it would be hypocritical to accuse others while lacking morality. However, by admitting to Abigail that he [is] done having known her, Miller shows the audience how his character has developed an understanding of his own flaw. Similarly, Proctor admits his wrong doing to his wife by wilt[ing], and like a Christian [he] confessed. This simile represents his guilt from committing adultery, as the religious imagery heightens the pity the audience has for the protagonist. Proctor s character development of confessing his flaw to the court is another example Miller uses to convince to audience that he is a tragic hero. Miller employs Proctor s belief that the witch accusations are vengeance of Abigail as she thinks to dance with [him] on [his] wife s grave. Therefore, Miller utilizes dialogue in the court of Proctor stating he has known [Abigail]. This shows his maturity as a character by ignoring that his name will be destroyed. Miller shows Proctor risking his reputation in various circumstances to display his identity of the tragic hero. Miller presents Proctor against the hysteria and injustice and ready to suffer the consequences of his actions. Hence a situation is created where the audience is positioned to sympathize for Proctor, as he falls from a great

Moore Webster University September 18, 2016 Natural Law and the Preservation of Human Life In order to address the scenarios in this assignment, one must define the when life begins. According to Thomas Aquinas God created the universe and all plants, animals and life of all types under the doctrine of External Law. Based on his vision, God instilled Natural Law in law to fulfill the parameters of External Law. Self preservation is not only a function of protecting one s self being, but also by ensuring the species survives. This is accomplished through the second inclination of procreation. Aquinas teachings proclaim that God created the universe and by doing so, created all life. So logic must dictate that life begins at conception and that the developing fetus has already been instilled with Natural Law. A young woman who is four months pregnant has recently discovered that she has tuberculosis. The doctor informs her that she must take a drug that will cure her disease, but that the drug will also have the effect of aborting the fetus. There is no other available drug that will cure her disease, and if she does not take the drug immediately she will die. According to natural law, may the young woman take the drug? Both the mother and the fetus are innocent human lives. Even though the fetus may not be capable of understanding, it is still a life and is dependent upon the mother for life. However, the fetus

Although characters are present that wouldn t be strictly defined as working class such as Mike Baldwin who owns the factory or Natalie Barnes who owns the pub, in Coronation Street it is important to note that these characters are easily immediately visible to the working class. Many commentators compare British Soaps with American soaps when discussing Realism. Realism is one of those words, like morality or wealth, whose definition is subjective. On the soaps reality is an artificial thing that is always being manipulated for the plot s benefit... British soaps work in a naturalistic context which the American soaps do not attempt.....the British go for what I might call a flattened reality, a middle brow nuts and bolts, everyday sort of reality. (All For Love, A Study in Soap Opera, Peter Buckingham, Secker Warberg 1984, p.45) American Soap Operas such as Dallas or Dynasty are set in a contemporary setting but they are not concerned with secular action. These soaps rely on extravagant story lines, a famous one being one character being abducted by aliens this is not the typical experience of the working class as discussed by Williams. These American Soaps also don t conform to the Socially

Many infant mattresses have very little padding so that you do not have to worry about them rolling in their sleep and being unable to breathe because of the mattress over their face. On the other hand, toddler mattresses are not as firm. Toddlers are beyond the risk of SIDS and more able to adjust the way they are laying. Do Infant Mattresses Fit in Traditional Cribs? Traditional style cribs are generally one size fits all. They are designed to be used from infancy through toddlerhood. For this reason, if you have a crib that is not portable, a mattress, whether rated for infants or toddlers, will fit in your crib. By testing behavioral and mood changes as well as impairments in memory or functioning in the groups of athletes I plan to test my hypothesis and see if football players are more likely to suffer from CTE. Goodwill today constitutes a much larger part of acquisition prices than it did previously, resulting in a much greater impact on financial statements. During the twentieth century the concept of goodwill has changed significantly. In the earlier days goodwill was thought of as the good and valuable relationships of a proprietor of a business with his customers. The present concept is broader in that it encompasses many more intangible economic factors of a business enterprise and accountants now consider that goodwill results from the evaluation of the earning power of a business by investors ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is no wonder that managements, in order to avoid this reduction in reportable earnings, frequently opt to use the pooling of interest method when they complete a merger. Since no goodwill is created, over eager managers are able to pay outrageous prices for acquisitions with little or no accountability on the balance sheet. Since it makes no sense to have two different ways for accounting for a merger, the FASB decided they should eliminate the pooling of interest method and force all transactions to be done via the purchase method. Executives and politicians claimed this will significantly reduce the number of mergers since the new standards would cause reportable earnings to drop as soon as a company had completed an acquisition. As a concession, the FASB will no longer require goodwill to be written off unless the assets became impaired (which means it becomes clear that the goodwill is not worth what the company paid for it). The FASB s six members unanimously approved two new accounting standards on Friday July 23, 2001. Financial Accounting Statement 141 will eliminate the pooling of interest method for booking mergers. The method had been popular with dealmakers because it allowed companies to do deals at a premium without marking up their assets. These markups inflate the size of future amortization expenses and depressed reported earnings, supporters of pooling said. The FASB also passed Financial Accounting Statement 142 a closely related standard

Mental health of African Americanmale populations is poorly understood due to unique social, racial, and psychological variables. Although many black men deem success possible, a great number identify resistance to success in the form of prejudice, discrimination, and minimal opportunities in comparison with their white counterpart. Due to this background, the researchers attempted to answer the seemingly dichotomous interaction between stress and mental health in this population. They hypothesized that goal striving stress would be inversely related to mental health and that striving related coping strategies, such as racial attribution and John Henryism, would moderate the relationship between goal striving stress and mental health (514) Furthermore, the researchers hypothesized interactions between goal striving stress and two coping resources racial attribution and John Henryism (514). Staring Sasha Boren Cohen, based of the original film the dictator is explored with a comical atmosphere, to inform as well as entertain. The Novel Animal farm portrays Napoleon as a strong individual who rises to power through the use of propaganda and manipulation. He is depicted as a god to the other animals and their key to rise from the oppression of starvation, and over working conditions bestowed upon them in the farm. As a result of this the irony depicted in the novel foreshadows how the animals put trust in an individual who promised them a break free from the chains of slavery however as a result of this, Napoleon slowly became more like the people who he promised to rid, thus resulting in the animals developing human characteristics such as walking on two legs etc. Napoleon is the salient image in the poster the reasoning behind his human like characteristics e.g. facial hair, is to highlight how he ongoingly adopted human traits as a result of his pig like attitudes towards the other members of the farm. His selfish motives resulted in Napoleon becoming more like a human than any of the other animals. Napoleon is the only animal shown in the poster to be coloured and not silhouetted, this is to reveal and accentuate how the animals of the farm have been left in the shadows of Napoleon and his hidden agendas, whilst he sits in the light isolating himself from any of the others. He enforces regulations and motives through Squealer the tool of propaganda. The animals being left in the shadows, encompasses and strengthens the ideals of a dictatorship. Napoleon outlines all of the ideals of a dictator, he isolates himself and gets his superiors to speak on his behalf, he inflicts and enforces fear into his own people, twists their minds, and he uses his own peoples working labour, and produce for his own benefits and the benefit for the higher class ( The pigs, dogs).
