The Behavior Of Binary Alloys
Abstract
The behavior of binary alloys was investigated by the Metropolis Monte Carlo Simulations in
Matlab. Temperatures, alloy concentrations and interaction parameters are variables being varied in
this simulation. Increases in temperature led to an increase in entropy as well as a decrease in
relative correlation of orders. The entropy and enthalpy of mixing both were affected by the alloy
concentration, with a maximum of 50%. Lastly, the interaction parameter defined the type of bonds
that were energetically favorable: for negative bond energies, the alloy consisted of intermetallic
compounds whereas for positive bond energies, the two types of atoms had a tendency to cluster
and thus phase separation occurred. When the bonding energy ... Show more content on

Although the substitution occurs randomly, an ordered structure can be obtained under certain
conditions. For a binary alloy of A and B metals, there are two types of order: long range and
short range. The first one measures the fraction of metal A atoms positioned on О± sites and the
second one is an indicator of the average number of B atoms surrounding an A atom. Depending
on the energy of the bonds between the two metal atoms with each other and themselves, an alloy s
ordered state will vary. The extent to which an alloy becomes ordered under certain conditions
depends on which arrangement is more energetically favored, given by the state s Gibbs energy. For
low temperatures, the Gibbs energy is proportional to the relative concentrations of the two metals
and the bond strengths. Above a critical temperature, the entropy of the solution is dominant and
long range order disappears while the short range order is present to a certain extent. [2] This
temperature dependence has a significant impact on the applications of a certain material.
The two main methods of studying the order and configuration of alloys are X rays diffuse
scattering and Monte Carlo simulations. The former can be used to study individual sections (i.e.
short range order) but is extensive as individual experiments on single crystals are needed. In order
to study the

The University Of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum Essay
In order to compose this assignment, I visited the University of South Florida Contemporary Art
Museum (CAM). The USF Contemporary Art Museum is a compact museum on campus located
near the Dance buildings and the Theatres. The museum opened its establishment in 1989 and has
offered a wide range of art from around the world including the United States, Africa, Europe, and
Latin America (usfcam.usf.edu). In order to keep students engaged in the art, the museumchanges its
exhibits a couple times a year. Currently, the exhibition on display is entitled Extracted and
incorporates the extraction and circulation of natural resources around the globe (Megan Voeller).
Despite the museum being not large in size, I was able to attain a sense of nature through
photographs, sculptures, video messages, and banners produced from artists including Otobang
Nkanga, Marina Zurkow, Claire Pentecost, Mary Mattingly and Daniel Shiffman. The social angle
most strongly related to the exhibit on display at this time is nature and culture. Extracted was
motivated by relationships between humans and the environment referring to complex technical
processes behind oil drilling and mining or industrial agriculture (Megan Voeller). Most of the
artists focus their work on nature including the environment, ecosystems, and life itself. One artists
in particular whose work stood out to me was Claire Pentecost with her work Soil erg. This distinct
exposition was located in the hearth of

The Definition of Liberty
In New York there is a 250 ton green statue dressed in a robe, holding a torch and tablet with
broken chains at the feet. In 1886, the statue was given to the United States as a gift to symbolize
liberty. The statue is the Statue of Liberty. She is dressed in a robe to symbolize the Roman
goddess of freedom, Libertas. She holds a torch and a tablet to symbolize evoking the law. Many
individuals visit the Statue of Liberty, hoping to understand what liberty means. Liberty has many
interpretations and it is not confined to one meaning. To truly understand the meaning of liberty, an
individual must understand the different types of liberties that are available to Americans. Visiting
the Statue of Liberty will not fully define the concept of what liberty truly means; an individual
must understand the definition, the characteristics, the types, and what liberty is not. First, an
individual needs to understand the definition of liberty. Liberty is derived from the Latin word
Liber, which means free. Liberty means an individual is able to to live in a society that is free of
oppressive restrictions on how to live ones life, behave, or ones political views. An individual
commonly expresses liberty as: freedom, independence, autonomy, emancipation, and liberation.
Next an individual must understand the characteristics of liberty. There are two characteristics of
liberty, negative liberties and positive liberties. Negative liberties are liberties that do not have

W. H. Auden Research Paper
W. B. Yeats, W. H. Auden, and Seamus Heaney all experienced senseless violence throughout their
life. They all lived in the twentieth century, a time of greater violence than had ever been seen
before, and their poetry, as well as views on the role of the poet in society illustrate the impact that
violence had upon them. In response to this abundant stimuli, they wrote a great deal of poetrythat
seeks to comprehend the incomprehensible acts they observed. They each struggled with
disillusionment, most especially Auden, whose views of poetry changed most radically. Ultimately,
they all agree upon the senselessness of violence and war, but the difference is in the impact they
allow it to have upon them.

Heaney s view of poetry differs from that of Yeats and Auden, but still has noticeably similar
characteristics. Poetry is, for Heaney, and archeological process, that delves into the past of
humanity as well as his own past. In relation to violence, Heaney sees poetry as having an
obligation to honor the dead without glorifying or detrimenting them. The Grauballe Man is the
perfect example of a poem that explores the past, but also deals with the struggles of the present.
The poem is focused upon a dead body that was preserved in a Danish bog. Heaney uses his
detailed description of the dead man to honor him. He moves from the ball of his heel like a
basalt egg to his slashed throat. (Heaney 2954). He sees beauty in this preserved form, and
refuses to call is a corpse or body. There is something beautiful to be found in an honest and
reverent honoring of the dead. Heaney at first only thought of the man in the form of a picture,
but having spent time with this eternal image of violence and death, he lies perfected in [his]
memory, helping him to cope with the tragic violence of his life as a Catholic in Ireland s
Protestant north (Heaney 2955). Heaney uses poetry to process his reaction, but in a different way.
Instead of verbalizing his conflicts directly, he simply looks upon the world with honesty and
describes it in truth and clarity. In doing so,

Henry Karoliszyn Cognitive Police Analysis
Three year old Danny is a typical little boy. Playing hide and seek, pretending to be a superhero,

A Study On Water Creek Reservoir
Prairie Creek Reservoir, located in an agricultural water in east central Indiana, serves as a
secondary drinking water supply for Muncie, IN and offers various recreational activities.
Monitoring of the streams and knowledge of its water quality is very limited. This study assessed
water quality at five major tributaries and outfall to support future management decisions.
Keywords. Eutrophication, nutrients, monitoring, streams, reservoir INTRODUCTION In 2014,
43% of all U.S. lakes and reservoirs were classified as impaired due to not fulfilling one or more
designated uses; nutrients and agriculture were the primary factor and source causing impairments
(U.S. EPA 2014). Commercial fertilizers designed to increase crop productivity can promote
biological productivity in waters draining agricultural lands; fertilizers contribute nearly 57,000 tons
of total nitrogen into the White River per year (Martin, 1996; PopoviДЌovГЎ 2008). The
continuous supply of nutrients to a water body can produce algal blooms, intense growth of
macrophytes that can lead to dissolved oxygen depletion, and stress on aquatic environments
(Dodds and Welch 2000; U.S. EPA 2002, 2012; SГёndergaard et al. 2003; USGS 2013, 2014).
Eutrophication can adversely influence recreation, drinking water supply, industrial uses, and
fisheries due to objectionable appeal, fish kills, influx of sedimentation, taste and odor of drinking
water, and increased prices in drinking water treatment (Walker 1983; Carpenter,

How Did X-Rays Change The World
Imagine a machine that made what was once invisible, visible. Wilhelm Roentgen discovered the
X ray in 1895. X rays impacted the field of medicine greatly. The discovery of X rays
significantly changed how we could see the human body, treatment options, and how we viewed
X rays. Wilhelm C. Roentgen was a German physicist. He was born on March 27, 1845, and
died on February 10, 1923. He was married to, Anna Bertha Ludwig. He received education from
the University of Zurich, the Institute of Martinus Herman van Doorn, ETH Zurich and the
University of Strasbourg. He received the Nobel Prize in physics in 1901 for discovering X rays.

This changed the world of medicine. Looking inside a human body using X rays made
diagnosing and monitoring medical problems easier and more efficient. They no longer have to
make incisions, they can just use X rays to see what going on inside of your body. Doctors are
able to see inside the body because the way the X rays react with the density of the organs and
bones inside of you. Soft tissue, such as skin and organs, cannot absorb the high energy rays, and
the beam passes through them. Dense materials inside our bodies, like bones, absorb the
radiation. (Wonderopolis.org). This is why we are able to see bones and other things inside our
bodies. Black areas on an x ray which is flesh and soft tissue show where the X rays passed
through. White areas on x rays show where denser tissues like bones have absorbed the X rays.
(RadiologyInfo.org). The white areas that show up on the X rays are what allows the doctors to
see the inside of the body. The doctors view the body because of how the radiation reacts with the
differences in density of organs, flesh, bones,

but how impossible is it to represent her confusion, when he appeared, leading the young Amena

Installing A High Price Tag
It s said that bathrooms and kitchens are what sell houses. This is in large part because
renovations on these rooms carry a higher price tag. Whether fixing up a kitchen to improve the
sale price of a home or remodeling to meet personal tastes, some smart shopping has the potential
to save thousands while still creating a high end look. Odd Lots and Closeouts As home dГ©cor
trends change, companies who manufacture everything from light fixtures to floor tiles
discontinue some merchandise to make way for newer styles. Shopping for clearance prices on
closeout items may garner savings of 75% or more off of retail prices. Keep in mind that
discontinued items are available in limited quantities. When purchasing items such as wall
coverings or floor coverings, take accurate measurements and be sure to purchase enough to finish
the entire job. Also remember that sales on discontinued items are often final, so avoid purchasing
in excess. As with fashion, home dГ©cor lines usually introduce new styles in the spring and fall.
These time of year are prime times for closeout shopping. However, many home improvement stores
change their inventory throughout the year, marking items at clearance prices to clear out shelf
space for other products. Shopping frequently at many different stores will likely turn up a wider
array of products at the bet possible prices. Slightly Irregular Merchandise Companies that sell high
end merchandise put all products through rigorous quality control

Taking a Look at Francis AlГїs
Francis AlГїs Francis AlГїs has startled and dumbfounded our contemporary art world time and
again. As a Belgian architect turned artist, now residing in Mexico city, AlГїs is able to offer a
multi cultural approach to the problems and fallacies of today. Although AlГїs is clearly interested
in themes of informal manual labor and homelessness in Mexico, failed promises to assist in the
modernizing of Latin America, and society constructed limits in immigration and movement, his
work tends to lend itself more towards poetic attitudes and moods of ephemera, instead of
adopting a loud and violent feel. His projects rotate around ideas of magical absurdity, which
leaves them open to interpretation and moves political and economic crises into landscapes of
lyric, where they can be re examined. The most significant question he poses is whether such
poetic acts, while underlining the senselessness of particular real situations, can also create a space
for new ways of thinking (1). The way that AlГїs works reflects the fluidity of his ideas, he begins
with a concept. He has spoken about being influenced by everything from fairy tales and children s
book to Belgian Surrealism and early Italian Renaissance painting, and AlГїs has even begun
projects based entirely on an anecdote he has happened upon. Then come the projects themselves,
which are mostly actions and events. Some of these actions require months of developing and
financing, and others are modest and abrupt. Francis will

What Causes Lactose Intolerance
What Causes Lactose Deficiency And How It Can Be Diagnosed Lactose intolerance is
considered to be the inability to break a kind of natural sugar, which is referred to as lactose. It is
commonly established in dairy products including milk and yogurt. If a person is said to be lactose
intolerant, then his/her small intestine will stop making enough amount of lactase enzyme in order
to digest or break down the lactose. The undigested lactose will move towards the large intestine,
when this happens. The bacteria, which are usually available within the large intestine will get
interact with those undigested lactose and in turn, cause symptoms like gas, diarrhea and bloating.
This condition might also be regarded as lactase deficiency. In fact, lactose intolerance is widely
seen in adults, specifically those with African, Asian, Mediterranean Ancestry or Native American.
According to some recent studies, about 30 million American individuals of age 20 are lactose
intolerant. Even though the condition is not serious, yet it might be unpleasant. Actually, the signs
of lactose intolerance arise about 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingesting milk or else several other
dairy products with lactose. Individuals who are suffering from lactose intolerant should avoid
consuming those products or of course take medicines that contain the enzyme lactase before doing
so. The symptoms could range out of mild to severe. Typically, the severity relies on the quantity of
lactose you have consumed and also the amount of lactase, which the individual has actually made.

Kitty Genovese Study

stop and look at her and are conflicted on whether or not to help her clean up the mess.
Everyday, people witness another person needing help. The reasoning that causes one person to
help may stop another from helping, whether it is time, convenience, or maybe sincerity.
Throughout our history, there have been multiple studies on what makes a person more prone
to help than another person. With this research study, we can decipher what makes or prevents a
person from helping another. By conducting this study, we may be able to provide input for
some people on why another person is more likely to help than per say, they are. Darley and
LatanГ© (1968) established a study over the Kitty Genovese case from the 1960 s. Darley and

number of witnesses around an emergency affects a person helping during the emergency.

fact affect if a person helps. Darley and Batson (1973) also conducted a study on helping

they hypothesized that people who were in a rush were less likely to help than people who were

regular salary man; the two kids, Mana and Ko, 16 and 14 years old respectively, are students.
What makes the family special is that they have agreed, following an initiative of Etsuko s, not to
have any secrets from and always be sincere with each other. Presumably, this results into constant
awkward situations.
However, as the script deepens on the characters, the facade of regularity shutters. Takashi, who has
not had intercourse with his wife for five years, retains two extramarital relationships, with whom
he often engages in sadomasochistic acts, one of which is his spouse s colleague. The other one, at
some point, is hired by his son to tutor him, thus her regular visit at their home. Ko, clearly has
sexual inclinations towards her and even asks her to have intercourse with him. Mana, who rarely
attends school, spends her time shopping at the department store, getting photographed for adult
magazines and even having sex with strangers. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Rabies Is A Viral Disease
Most humans, have come in contact with a dog, cat, and even wild animals or rodents. Some of us
become owners of such animals that are then domesticated. Although, cute and human s best
friend, people are not well informed when it comes to caring for. Does your pet has all the
necessary vaccinations? What if I ask you how much do you know about rabies?
Some think it comes from animals like pigs or cows. Others suggest it comes from sick dogs or
cats, which are commonly domestic. The truth is, rabies has been in existence for over 4000 years
and many countries around the world have had some exposure to it. Rabies is a viral disease that
takes place in more than 150 countries around the world and it has been associated mainly with ...

First of all, rabies virus structure consists of negative sense, unsegmented, a rod which has the
shape of a bullet, single stranded, and enveloped RNA virus. It s genome is based on a leader
sequence (LDR) of about fifty nucleotides which is followed mainly by five proteins such as
phosphoprotein (P), nucleoprotein (N), glycoprotein (G), polymerase (L), and matrix protein (M).
These proteins are synthesized and play a role with translation process which occurs on free
ribosomes in the cytoplasm.
The infection process starts by the synthesis of the rabies virus encapsulated to the host cell
membrane (adsorption). Interactions between the G protein and receptors from a specific cell
surface may be involved. Once adsorption has occurred, the virus penetrates the host cell and
makes its entrance to the cytoplasm by pinocytosis through coated pits made of clathrin. In the
large endosomes, also known as cytoplasmic vesicles, a conglomeration of virions can be found.
The viral membranes join the endosomal membranes to allow the releasing of viral RNP into the
cytoplasm (uncoating). In order to enable replication of the virus, messenger RNAs (mRNAs) have
to be transcribed owing to the fact that lyssaviruses have a linear single negative stranded
ribonucleic acid (RNA) genome.
The incubation time period for rabies generally takes 30 to 90 days but it can take few as 5 days
and extend up to 2 years or more after

The Paper Is Centered On The Discussion Of The New Testament
The paper is centered on the discussion of the New Testament Letter Structures, specifically the
Epistles. Style, format, and authorship will be some of the main points of discussion. How is the
reader to use this information to determine, not just who the author is, but to whom is the author
speaking too? The letter or epistle, what unique style shows that the author is original or a pseudo
author writing in the same style as the original author. Any similarities of the writing style and

Reviewing Epistolary Literature, as it relates to the New Testament consists of twenty one
writings that display the formal features of a letter to varying degrees, along with letters
embedded within other books. Since this literature was written primarily during the first century
C.E., it mirrors the formal features of Hellenistic epistolary writing. Letter writing in Hellenism
followed a stereotypical form: The Epistles were generally written in the form of: 1)Opening or
Prescript. This consists of three parts; the author s name, the addressee s name, and a greeting.
2)Body. The purpose of the letter is elaborated. 3)Closing. Usually consists of a final greeting.
The letters expressed a relationship of friendship between two parties and was to have a certain
presence about it, substituting for the actual presence of the writer. Thus, a person would write to
someone as if he or she were present . To see this format, the reader can review Philemon. The
reader can see these points outlined. In Philemon: Opening or Prescript v.1a Paul prisoner of Christ
Jesus Timothy our brother. To Philemon, Apphia, Archippus, house church. Grace to you and peace

Slow Loris Research Paper
After researching several species and types of animals, it became apparent that the Slow loris is a
strange and interesting animal. The Slow loris is actually a group of animals that are now being
considered individual species rather than the classification they had previously been a part of.
Several examples of these species include the Bengal slow loris (N. bengalensis), Bornean slow
loris (N. menagensis), and the Pygmy slow loris (N. pygmaeus). These animals have an odd
evolutionary/classicfication history, bodily functions, and involvement with humans. An important

Almost every species has been determined as vulnerable or endangered and the progressing loss
of their habitats and involvement in wildlife trades is only dragging the animal into a worse
state. Their habitats have been decreasing in size due to deforestation, which in turn does not
allow for the proper dispersal of their species, causing the population size to decrease even
further.7 The Slow loris is victim to the wildlife trade, most notably for domestication. Many
people around the world believe the animal to be cute and because it s cute, it can be a pet. This
is not the case. Almost all Slow lorises die due to improper domestication and handling. Since the
bite of the Slow loris can be deadly, owners and traders remove the teeth which can cause
infections and potentially kill the animal.8 Also, many of the Slow lorises that are kept as pets are
subject to malnutrition due to improper care, and can develop many health problems such as
kidney failure, stress, pneumonia, infections, and either become obese or underweight.9 Without a
doubt, it is obvious that the Slow loris is a wild animal and not an ideal animal to claim as a pet. It
is difficult to fully control such treatments and outcomes throughout the world of the Slow loris,
however the future may bring the proper protection and treatments that the Slow loris

Antwone Dream Analysis
Psychodynamic therapists find that free association is helpful in treating their clients because it
allows them to say whatever comes to mind. The client is encouraged to talk about anything and
everything seeing as it may help them accept any kind of limitations or discord they may have. This
process of treatment would not be the best route for Antwone s therapist to take. Antwone struggles
in creating conversation out of nothing and when it comes to talking about his issues, that process
is no different.
Dream analysis, however, could be an effective way for a counselor to treat the problems that
Antwone is having. As a currently angry individual, Antwone recalls some of the dreams he was

There are many concepts that can be used to help conceptualize the problems that Antwone Fisher
experiences.
To begin conceptualizing Antwone s feelings through an Adlerian lens, a counselor might try to
spot inferiority feelings within the client. These feelings are always present and ultimately act as a
motivating force behind an individual s outward behavior. One could argue that Antwone s
inferiorities stem from the abuse he suffered at such a young age, which halted the average
development most humans encounter. In order for an individual to overcome these inferiorities,
they begin to act in compensative behaviors. Since Antwone s traumas began in infancy, he never
had any kind of stable environment and the one in which he was finally placed (the Tate s) caused
him to quickly feel inferior. Antwone may have ultimately developed an inferiority complex
because he was never able to compensate his inferiority feelings as an infant. The inferiority
complex that Antwone developed has prevented him from being able to cope with the demands of
life enabling him to use violence as a way to forget.
Antwone s problems can be further conceptualized when thinking about social interest and
community feeling. Social interest is being concerned about others just as much as an individual is
concerned about oneself. Community feeling is concerned with feeling connected to all of
humanity. Antwone, throughout the movie, is seen drawing, writing, and

The Hopi tribe is neglected of the recognition of their peaceful lifestyle due to stereotypical
ideals that suggest Native Americans are savages. The Hopi tribe are peace loving people who
have kept their culture intact due to the large part of living in isolated areas of Northeastern
Arizona (Warpaths). What kept the Hopi tribe alive was living in isolation, this means that the
Hopi Tribe wanted to be left alone, this also suggests that the Hopi tribe did not want to be
involved in conflict. In fact, the Hopi strived towards being in a state of total reverence and
respect for all things, to be at peace with these things, and to live in accordance with the
instructions of Maasaw, the Creator or Caretaker of Earth. The Hopi observed their traditional
ceremonies for the benefit of the entire world. Some people who oppose the fact that Native
Americans are not savages and are human beings suggest that they are savage hunters who hunt
and kill people impulsively, which is untrue because they preferred being isolated to avoid
conflict with other tribes or military who wanted to hurt their people. In Crazy Horse Malt Liquor

Gender Roles In Nora And Torvald
The manipulative and twisted interaction between a man and a woman, what some considered a
marriage , digs and buries the dominant and controlling nature of the superior into the obedient and
submissive nature of the weaker, the man and the woman. In the case of Nora and Torvald, the
chaotic and disorderly nature of their marriageis stimulated by the feeling that Nora is viewed as
nothing more than a plaything or doll for all the men in her life, whether it be her father or her
husband . With years of living like some toy for her husband s entertainment there is a spark of
realization within Nora, that she is not some object that is solely for her husband s stimulation and
transfixiation of perfection and subservience, but she is also a person, a human, and she has rights
and she deserves to be respected as she is expected to respect her husband. With the realization of
the wronging she has endured in part because of her commanding and persuasive husband and her
controlling father, Nora flees from the responsibilities placed upon her by societal gender roles,
and the roles deemed necessary for her to fulfill while her husband must work, this revelation and
act of self justice is a deviation from what some deemed an inevitable tragedy for the family, in the
aspect that this is not the tragedy they imagined. In Henrik Ibsens play A Doll s House, the character
Nora, often faced with the forced feminization of her doting father and dominant husband, reaches

The Effect Of Rha On Ceramic Beads Adsorption
3. Result and Discussion 3.1 Influence of RHA to Ceramic Beads Adsorption Ability
Based on the calculation data of Concentration Absorbance plot (Appendix 1), the equation between
concentration (mg/ml) and absorbance (AU) is: AU= 1.0057C, R2=0.9924. The concentration
change of solutions for continuous 10 min are in Appendix 2. The concentration of solution
decreased sharply at first 20 min and then reach the equilibrium after 40 min. According to the
adsorption data and equilibrium equation, the beads adsorption abilities can be calculated as
following: he saturated adsorptions of beads from Ratio 1 to Ratio 7 are: 24.2020 mg/g,
20.2313 mg/g, 18.0074 mg/g, 15.1917 mg/g, 11.3437 mg/g, 28.0750 mg/g and 20.0573 mg/g.
the highest adsorption level of ceramic beads is Ratio 6 (28.0750 mg/g absorption level with the
ratio RH: Clay: flour= 5: 4: 0)), the lowest level of beads shows at Ratio 5 (11.3437 mg/g
absorption level with the ratio RH: Clay: flour= 1: 8: 1). The saturation level is changed with the
change of beads compositions ratios. Figure 3.1 marks the absorption saturation of 7 ratios of beads
under the same burning condition.
From Ratio 1 to Ratio 5, the saturated protein adsorption of ceramic beads decreased, which
indicate that the efficiency of ceramic beads adsorption decreased with the content of RHA
declining. Both RHA and NC have characteristics of adsorption. The main content of RHA are
fixed carbon and SiO2. Fixed carbon has similar properties with AC,

Heroism In 1984
When someone says protagonist, what does one usually think of? Generally, the words good
guy and hero come to mind first, but are those words used correctly? Is the protagonist really a
hero? In George Orwell s 1984 and Philip k. Dick s Minority Report, two different protagonists
who commit hero like acts are shown. These acts on outside seem like they are benefiting the
greater good, when in reality they help almost no one. The side effects of their actions are avoided
to make the protagonists seem more worthy and stronger in the readers eyes, but it does nutmeat
that they do not still exist. At a glance, 1984 is a dystopian about a man named Winston, the

unknowingly gives O Brien more power through the crimes he commits. Winston commits all
sorts of thoughtcrime throughout the book but it is not until the last part where he realizes that
O Brien, someone who he thought was going to help take Big Brother down, works for The
Party. In part three O Brien says, And there are disease, pain, death O Brien silenced him by a
movement of the hand. (Orwell 277). This quote tells readers the extent of O Brien s power,
specifically over Winston. It shows how his hidden figure type persona has evolved into
someone who is not afraid to show who he really is and is willing to evict pain on to other
people. All this is due to Winston rebellious acts against Big Brother. All throughout the story. he
breaks many of Big Brother s rules, reason why O Brien catches Winston in the first place and
has all the power he does right now. In chapter nine Kaplan says, This is a great occasion for the

minority report aspect is a false way of determining if someone is guilty. He wants the army to be
back in control, specifically his team of sergeants that retired a while back. Anderton trying to run
away from the fate that the system writes for him is the reason why Kaplan gains so much power in
the first place. The protagonists actions affect the antagonists, in the better. In addition to affecting

An organisation chart outlines the formal chain of command and communications within an

running of an organisation, although he or she may appear near to the bottom of the chart.
In the formal organisational structure there will be patterns of communication and procedures for
decision making. Some organisations will have tall structures with lots of layers of command. Other
organisations are relatively flat.

America Must Invest in Energy Efficiency Essays
America Must Invest in Energy Efficiency
In recent years our country has had many debates over what must be done to lessen the amount of
oil that our country consumes. It is well known that we need to make some type of change to help
not only the environment, but also lessen our reliance on imported oil. President Bush recently
announced his new plan that could someday greatly reduce that amount of oil that Americans use
by replacing oil with hydrogen fuel cells. Although this plan is a step in the right direction, it is not
the answer. There are far too many downsides that could actually hurt our country in the long run.
One problem is that the plan proposed by Bush will take far too long before any changes will be

. If cars were required to run on 55 miles per gallon, the U.S. would save about five million
barrels per day. This alone is about seven times the amount of oil that was imported from Iraq
alone last year (Kennedy 11). All major auto companies can already make cars that run on
seventy miles per gallon; meaning that Clinton s goal was nearly reached. However, because
funding is being cut by the new plan, these cars will most likely never be available in the large
market. We do need to someday totally end our reliance on oil, especially in cars, but why stop
funding a plan that would have an immediate effect? Money is simply being wasted due to the
fact that millions of dollars were spent on a plan that is being ended because funding is suddenly
being spent on new areas of research. We need to continue funding Clinton s plan even if we do
start more research in hydrogen fuel cells.
A second major problem with the plan is not easy to see at first. You must look much closer at
what types of research is being done. There are two ways that hydrogen fuel cells can be made.
One is by a reaction with oxygen. These cells are about 70% efficient and the only emissions are
water vapor. The second way it by using oil or coal to make the cells. These cells are about 33%
efficient and release harmful emissions into the atmosphere (Abelson 1469). I feel that we should

more specifically classified as a Mixed Integer Programming problem. (Trick, 1998) Their research
proved to be revolutionary as this strayed from the traditional accepted method in using IRR, and
this research has evolved since. One example of this is demonstrated where Seymour Kaplan
introduced the concept of applying the Generalized Lagrange Multiplier (G.L.M.) method with
Integer Programming, using the Lorie Savage problem as a basis for comparison, that found
favorable results in the effectiveness of G.L.M. in producing optimal solutions using NPV to make
investment decisions. (Kaplan, 1966, p. 1136) Building on this research was the introduction of
using genetic algorithms (GA) to solve capital budgeting problems in allowing financial analysts to
find optimal investment combinations for various situations, such as the multiple tax structures a
company may encounter. (Berry amp; Manongga, 2006, p. 96) Expanding on the GA
implementation was research conducted that incorporated fuzzy set theory on problems when
investment parameters contained scant or vague information and therefore had great uncertainty.

Circuit City Stores, Inc.
Executive Summary
Circuit City History
The year is 1966 and Wards, a television and appliance company established in 1949, is hot. As the
one and only giant of television, the company enjoys a growth rate of 2200% since 1958 and its
sales continue to skyrocket. The company continues to expand itself by offering innovative
products like audio equipment and diversifies by entering markets including automotive supplies,
gasoline, clothing, and even children s toys. In 1968 the company goes public while continuing to

After years of dominating the market, however, Circuit City began to lose focus in its core
business and directed its attention towards other businesses. One costly venture was through the
investment of DIVX, the technology that would rival DVD. The failure of this technology cost
Circuit City nearly $250 million or equivalent to two year s profits. By losing focus of its core
business, consumer electronics, Circuit City allowed other retailers like Best Buy to expand and
capture market share. A layout of Circuit City s merchandise salesby category can be seen in Figure
1.
In 2001, Circuit City re branded itself with a new logo and renewed commitment to customers,
stating, We re With You and continued to differentiate itself through customerservice and an all
knowing commission based sales force. This differentiation has become the company s distinctive
competence, yet this also brought about its current battle to be number one. While some
customers thoroughly enjoy the top notch service provided by Circuit City s sales staff, others
simply view it as sales pressure and usually leave Circuit City stores with an uncomfortable
experience and memory later causing them to patronize competing stores. Another drawback is
that Circuit City s commission based sales representatives often times overlook or do not provide
as good of service to customers seeking smaller, less profitable items which usually

Application Of A Desktop Study
Desktop Study
A desktop study, as its name implies, can be done entirely from a computer and is often the first
step in preliminary site investigations. The process of a desktop study involves correlating
background information about the site that will affect the design and construction; from a desk
study a large amount of relevant information can be gathered, such as: local context (i.e. what is
near to the site, the aesthetic of the surrounding buildings); archaeology (beneath the surface of a
site there may be unexploded bombs, remnants of old structures etc.); easements (the rights attached
to neighbouring lands, for example right to light); the likelihood of contaminated soil (which we
know we do have on our site); site ecology (the surrounding environment and how it coexists
together). Having this knowledge of the site before any work has begun allows for easier planning
later as obstacles that could have been a costly surprise later can be solved with much better
efficiency.
The process of a desktop study could also involve looking at OS (ordnance survey) maps of the site
which can reveal the previous usage of the site as well as drainage and much more. Geological
maps can show what the ground conditions are like on site and if there is any risk of, for
example, subsidence occurring or if it already has. Service maps can be inspected to find hidden
services, for example telephone cables or drainage. The findings of previous surveys, if they exist,
can also be found

The Chrysalids by John Wyndham Essay
The Chrysalids, by John Wyndham is a great novel in my opinion. It occurs in the future but it
focuses on prejudices, intolerance and torture, issues that exist now and will always exist as long
as we do. I believe the novel has a very important message for readers today. In the novel, The
Chrysalids, and in reality presently, many human rightsare being violated. First off, child abuseand
torture is a major factor in the novel. Secondly, the intolerance towards the women of Waknuk, and
how they are treated. Lastly, the deportation of people to other countries around the world, and
other area s of Labrador.
The first issue that is a major concern in the novel, is the torture and abuse towards David, and
other members in the novel. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another human right being abused in the book, is the intolerance towards the opposite sex. The
women of Waknuk, are too familiar with this sitution. Women in Waknuk are not aloud to work
outside of the home. The men believe their rightful place to be, is in the home. Cooking, cleaning,
having childern, and keeping the house is complete order. This exact thing is happening around
the world, even in our own communities today, as we speak. But I believe this intolerance is most
severe in a country called, Afghanistan. Women in this country cannot attend school, have no right
to work, cannot have male doctors only females attending them, and have even been ordered to
stay in the home. But if they do choose to go out, they cannot show their faces in public, go
outside the house alone, wear certain clothes, or even wear shoes that make a clicking sound.
Women can not walk alone even in their own neighbourhood without the fear of being stopped,
beaten or detained particularly by the religious police as suspected moral offenders. This is because
there are more constraints placed on the behaviour of women than men. For instance they are not
allowed to go anywhere, or leave the country without a male guardian or his written consent.
Lastly, the human right abuse being

Obesity Epidemic Summary
Bruce Y. Lee s article entitled How our Health Care System Is Feeding the Obesity Epidemic
(2015), suggests that while it s correct to suggest that personal choices can be blamed for the
obesity health crisis, the health care system in the United States also has to shoulder some of the
blame. Lee (2015) theorizes that failed financial incentives, lack of knowledge and training in
medical education and limitations of the physicians role regarding infrastructure and other policy
making decisions have a direct impact on the obesity and subsequent disease processes that are
impacting the nation. Obesity in America has increased over 20% in the last 35 years and is
directly or indirectly the cause of multiple hundreds of thousands of deaths

Paul And Silas Research Paper
Paul and Silas went to Philippi to preach the gospel. One day, they met a slave girl on the way to
the place of prayer. The girl was possessed by a ghost which made her a fortune teller. Paul
ordered the ghost in the name of Jesus to come out of the girl, and immediately, the ghost left
her. Her owners, however, became annoyed with Paul. The girl could no more tell the future
and the owners could no more make money through her. They captured Paul and Silas, and
accused them of making trouble in the city. Paul and Silas were stripped of their clothes, beaten,
and fastened in the innermost prison. However, they didn t blame God but praised God and
prayed to him. A jailer was ordered to keep Paul and Silas securely. About midnight, suddenly an
earthquake shook the prison. All doors were opened and everyone s chains were unfastened.
The jailer thought that he would be punished because the prisoners might had escaped. So he
drew his sword and was about to kill himself. Then suddenly, Paul shouted loudly and said: Do not
harm yourself, for we are all here. The jailer ran to Paul and Silas and fell down before asking: Sirs,

There a many reasons why we believe in Jesus and become Christians. First of all, God, our
Father, has shown his endless and unconditional love for us. John 3:16 says: God so loved the
world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may
have eternal life. No one in the world can love us like him. The way people love others is
conditional and limited. Their love changes according to time, circumstances, and also according
to people. God s love, however, has no end and embraces us everyone no matter who we are and
what we do. God does not only love great, rich, and intelligent people. Rather, he cherishes people
who are weak and poor, and those who have nothing to be proud

Informal Dueling
This week in Defense Against the Dark Arts, we covered the basics of dueling. This lesson
covered the differences between a formal duel and an informal duel. During a formal duel, a
formal challenge is issued to an opponent. Only magical means of dueling can be used. A
mediator is chosen, as well as seconds for each opponent. A second is someone who takes the place
of the person in the duelshould they be needed to. The duel ends when one person forfeits, the
original participant and second are both unable to continue the duel due to being disarmed or
seriously injured, or both people being killed. In a formal duel, the opponents must bow to one
another at the beginning of the duel, as this indicates respect to your opponent. An informal duel...

One of the formal duels was between Alberta Toothill and Samson Wiblin, which was a part of
the 1493 All England Dueling Competition. The second one we learned about was between
Albus Dumbledore and Gellert Grindelwald in 1945. Albus Dumbledore won and Grindelwald
was sent to prison. The two informal duels that we studied were the three way duel between
Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore, and Gellert Grindelwald, and the massive duel
between Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Dobby the House Elf, Bellatrix Lestrange, Fenrir
Greyback, and the Malfoy family. Both of these informal duels ended in death. During the
Dumbledore Dumbledore Grindelwald duel, Ariana Dumbledore, sister to the two Dumbledores
involved in the duel, attempted to intervene and was hit by a rogue spell and died. Clearly, had
this been a formal duel, her death would not have happened because someone would have
prevented things from getting out of hand. Additionally, had more attention been paid to their
surroundings, her presence would have been noticed and the spell, perhaps would not have been
cast. During the massive duel, Bellatrix used non magical means to kill Dobby (she threw a knife).
Again, had this been a formal duel, these methods would not have been allowed and Dobby would
have escaped with his

Macbeth Superstition Research Paper
The Scottish Play and the The Bard s Play are euphemisms for William Shakespeare s Macbeth.
The first is a reference to the play s Scottish setting, the second a reference to Shakespeare s popular
nickname. According to a theatrical superstition, called the Scottish curse, speaking the name
Macbethinside a theatre will cause disaster. A variation of the superstition also forbids quoting it
within a theatre except as part of an actual rehearsal or performance of the play.
Because of this superstition, the lead character is most often referred to as the Scottish King or
Scottish Lord. Lady Macbeth is often referred to as the Scottish Lady. Sometimes Mackers or

The rituals include turning three times, spitting over one s left shoulder, swearing, or reciting a

1. What do you understand by Maslow s Theory of Motivation? According to Abraham Maslow
the behaviour of an individual at a particular moment is usually determined by his strongest need.
Needs have a certain priority or hierarchy. As the more basic needs are satisfied an individual
seeks to satisfy the higher needs. If his basic needs are not met, efforts to satisfy the higher needs
should be postponed. Once a need is satisfied it loses its capacity to induce the man to work. Only

  • 2. The Behavior Of Binary Alloys Abstract The behavior of binary alloys was investigated by the Metropolis Monte Carlo Simulations in Matlab. Temperatures, alloy concentrations and interaction parameters are variables being varied in this simulation. Increases in temperature led to an increase in entropy as well as a decrease in relative correlation of orders. The entropy and enthalpy of mixing both were affected by the alloy concentration, with a maximum of 50%. Lastly, the interaction parameter defined the type of bonds that were energetically favorable: for negative bond energies, the alloy consisted of intermetallic compounds whereas for positive bond energies, the two types of atoms had a tendency to cluster and thus phase separation occurred. When the bonding energy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the substitution occurs randomly, an ordered structure can be obtained under certain conditions. For a binary alloy of A and B metals, there are two types of order: long range and short range. The first one measures the fraction of metal A atoms positioned on О± sites and the second one is an indicator of the average number of B atoms surrounding an A atom. Depending on the energy of the bonds between the two metal atoms with each other and themselves, an alloy s ordered state will vary. The extent to which an alloy becomes ordered under certain conditions depends on which arrangement is more energetically favored, given by the state s Gibbs energy. For low temperatures, the Gibbs energy is proportional to the relative concentrations of the two metals and the bond strengths. Above a critical temperature, the entropy of the solution is dominant and long range order disappears while the short range order is present to a certain extent. [2] This temperature dependence has a significant impact on the applications of a certain material. The two main methods of studying the order and configuration of alloys are X rays diffuse scattering and Monte Carlo simulations. The former can be used to study individual sections (i.e. short range order) but is extensive as individual experiments on single crystals are needed. In order to study the ... • 3. The University Of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum Essay In order to compose this assignment, I visited the University of South Florida Contemporary Art Museum (CAM). The USF Contemporary Art Museum is a compact museum on campus located near the Dance buildings and the Theatres. The museum opened its establishment in 1989 and has offered a wide range of art from around the world including the United States, Africa, Europe, and Latin America (usfcam.usf.edu). In order to keep students engaged in the art, the museumchanges its exhibits a couple times a year. Currently, the exhibition on display is entitled Extracted and incorporates the extraction and circulation of natural resources around the globe (Megan Voeller). Despite the museum being not large in size, I was able to attain a sense of nature through photographs, sculptures, video messages, and banners produced from artists including Otobang Nkanga, Marina Zurkow, Claire Pentecost, Mary Mattingly and Daniel Shiffman. The social angle most strongly related to the exhibit on display at this time is nature and culture. Extracted was motivated by relationships between humans and the environment referring to complex technical processes behind oil drilling and mining or industrial agriculture (Megan Voeller). Most of the artists focus their work on nature including the environment, ecosystems, and life itself. One artists in particular whose work stood out to me was Claire Pentecost with her work Soil erg. This distinct exposition was located in the hearth of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. The Definition of Liberty In New York there is a 250 ton green statue dressed in a robe, holding a torch and tablet with broken chains at the feet. In 1886, the statue was given to the United States as a gift to symbolize liberty. The statue is the Statue of Liberty. She is dressed in a robe to symbolize the Roman goddess of freedom, Libertas. She holds a torch and a tablet to symbolize evoking the law. Many individuals visit the Statue of Liberty, hoping to understand what liberty means. Liberty has many interpretations and it is not confined to one meaning. To truly understand the meaning of liberty, an individual must understand the different types of liberties that are available to Americans. Visiting the Statue of Liberty will not fully define the concept of what liberty truly means; an individual must understand the definition, the characteristics, the types, and what liberty is not. First, an individual needs to understand the definition of liberty. Liberty is derived from the Latin word Liber, which means free. Liberty means an individual is able to to live in a society that is free of oppressive restrictions on how to live ones life, behave, or ones political views. An individual commonly expresses liberty as: freedom, independence, autonomy, emancipation, and liberation. Next an individual must understand the characteristics of liberty. There are two characteristics of liberty, negative liberties and positive liberties. Negative liberties are liberties that do not have possess ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. W. H. Auden Research Paper W. B. Yeats, W. H. Auden, and Seamus Heaney all experienced senseless violence throughout their life. They all lived in the twentieth century, a time of greater violence than had ever been seen before, and their poetry, as well as views on the role of the poet in society illustrate the impact that violence had upon them. In response to this abundant stimuli, they wrote a great deal of poetrythat seeks to comprehend the incomprehensible acts they observed. They each struggled with disillusionment, most especially Auden, whose views of poetry changed most radically. Ultimately, they all agree upon the senselessness of violence and war, but the difference is in the impact they allow it to have upon them. William Butler Yeatshad two main periods ... Poetry is, for Heaney, and archeological process, that delves into the past of humanity as well as his own past. In relation to violence, Heaney sees poetry as having an obligation to honor the dead without glorifying or detrimenting them. The Grauballe Man is the perfect example of a poem that explores the past, but also deals with the struggles of the present. The poem is focused upon a dead body that was preserved in a Danish bog. Heaney uses his detailed description of the dead man to honor him. He moves from the ball of his heel like a basalt egg to his slashed throat. (Heaney 2954). He sees beauty in this preserved form, and refuses to call is a corpse or body. There is something beautiful to be found in an honest and reverent honoring of the dead. Heaney at first only thought of the man in the form of a picture, but having spent time with this eternal image of violence and death, he lies perfected in [his] memory, helping him to cope with the tragic violence of his life as a Catholic in Ireland s Protestant north (Heaney 2955). Heaney uses poetry to process his reaction, but in a different way. Instead of verbalizing his conflicts directly, he simply looks upon the world with honesty and describes it in truth and clarity. • 7. A Study On Water Creek Reservoir Prairie Creek Reservoir, located in an agricultural water in east central Indiana, serves as a secondary drinking water supply for Muncie, IN and offers various recreational activities. Monitoring of the streams and knowledge of its water quality is very limited. This study assessed water quality at five major tributaries and outfall to support future management decisions. Keywords. Eutrophication, nutrients, monitoring, streams, reservoir INTRODUCTION In 2014, 43% of all U.S. lakes and reservoirs were classified as impaired due to not fulfilling one or more designated uses; nutrients and agriculture were the primary factor and source causing impairments (U.S. EPA 2014). Commercial fertilizers designed to increase crop productivity can promote biological productivity in waters draining agricultural lands; fertilizers contribute nearly 57,000 tons of total nitrogen into the White River per year (Martin, 1996; PopoviДЌovГЎ 2008). The continuous supply of nutrients to a water body can produce algal blooms, intense growth of macrophytes that can lead to dissolved oxygen depletion, and stress on aquatic environments (Dodds and Welch 2000; U.S. EPA 2002, 2012; SГёndergaard et al. 2003; USGS 2013, 2014). Eutrophication can adversely influence recreation, drinking water supply, industrial uses, and fisheries due to objectionable appeal, fish kills, influx of sedimentation, taste and odor of drinking water, and increased prices in drinking water treatment (Walker 1983; Carpenter, ... Whether fixing up a kitchen to improve the sale price of a home or remodeling to meet personal tastes, some smart shopping has the potential to save thousands while still creating a high end look. Odd Lots and Closeouts As home dГ©cor trends change, companies who manufacture everything from light fixtures to floor tiles discontinue some merchandise to make way for newer styles. Shopping for clearance prices on closeout items may garner savings of 75% or more off of retail prices. Keep in mind that discontinued items are available in limited quantities. When purchasing items such as wall coverings or floor coverings, take accurate measurements and be sure to purchase enough to finish the entire job. Also remember that sales on discontinued items are often final, so avoid purchasing in excess. As with fashion, home dГ©cor lines usually introduce new styles in the spring and fall. These time of year are prime times for closeout shopping. However, many home improvement stores change their inventory throughout the year, marking items at clearance prices to clear out shelf space for other products. • 14. Taking a Look at Francis AlГїs Francis AlГїs Francis AlГїs has startled and dumbfounded our contemporary art world time and again. As a Belgian architect turned artist, now residing in Mexico city, AlГїs is able to offer a multi cultural approach to the problems and fallacies of today. Although AlГїs is clearly interested in themes of informal manual labor and homelessness in Mexico, failed promises to assist in the modernizing of Latin America, and society constructed limits in immigration and movement, his work tends to lend itself more towards poetic attitudes and moods of ephemera, instead of adopting a loud and violent feel. His projects rotate around ideas of magical absurdity, which leaves them open to interpretation and moves political and economic crises into landscapes of lyric, where they can be re examined. The most significant question he poses is whether such poetic acts, while underlining the senselessness of particular real situations, can also create a space for new ways of thinking (1). The way that AlГїs works reflects the fluidity of his ideas, he begins with a concept. He has spoken about being influenced by everything from fairy tales and children s book to Belgian Surrealism and early Italian Renaissance painting, and AlГїs has even begun projects based entirely on an anecdote he has happened upon. Then come the projects themselves, which are mostly actions and events. Some of these actions require months of developing and financing, and others are modest and abrupt. Francis will ... • 15. What Causes Lactose Intolerance What Causes Lactose Deficiency And How It Can Be Diagnosed Lactose intolerance is considered to be the inability to break a kind of natural sugar, which is referred to as lactose. It is commonly established in dairy products including milk and yogurt. If a person is said to be lactose intolerant, then his/her small intestine will stop making enough amount of lactase enzyme in order to digest or break down the lactose. The undigested lactose will move towards the large intestine, when this happens. The bacteria, which are usually available within the large intestine will get interact with those undigested lactose and in turn, cause symptoms like gas, diarrhea and bloating. This condition might also be regarded as lactase deficiency. In fact, lactose intolerance is widely seen in adults, specifically those with African, Asian, Mediterranean Ancestry or Native American. According to some recent studies, about 30 million American individuals of age 20 are lactose intolerant. Even though the condition is not serious, yet it might be unpleasant. Actually, the signs of lactose intolerance arise about 30 minutes to 2 hours after ingesting milk or else several other dairy products with lactose. Individuals who are suffering from lactose intolerant should avoid consuming those products or of course take medicines that contain the enzyme lactase before doing so. The symptoms could range out of mild to severe. Typically, the severity relies on the quantity of lactose you have consumed and also the amount of lactase, which the individual has actually made. ... The new database software became available as of June 1, and it boasts incredible functionality at breakneck speed. Here is a summary of what service providers need to know about SQL Server 2016, as well as what it means for SQL Server 2016 licensing requirements. Joseph Sirosh, Microsoft s Corporate Vice President, Data Group, said SQL Server 2016 is the fastest and most price performant database for hybrid transactional and analytical processing (HTAP). The integration of advanced analytics into a transactional database is revolutionary. Today a majority of advanced analytic applications use a primitive approach of moving data from databases into the application tier to derive intelligence. This... Lastly, faster replicas can be placed in Azure to provide cost effective disaster recovery and backups. For additional information, read the SQL Server 2016 Release Notes and SQL Server 2016 datasheet. Biggest Takeaway for Service Providers? Among the bevy of new features included in SQL Server 2016, the added security benefits are front and center. This is significant for service providers, who by now are asked constantly by their end user clients how to achieve stronger data security from malicious and everyday hackers. SQL Server 2016 includes a new feature called Always Encrypted . This feature lets users encrypt data all the way from server to client, since it depends on client side keys, which are distributed to clients. A new Always Encrypted enabled driver is required, but the encryption is transparent to applications. This added level of security is significant because of the costs now associated with data breaches. You stop and look at her and are conflicted on whether or not to help her clean up the mess. Everyday, people witness another person needing help. The reasoning that causes one person to help may stop another from helping, whether it is time, convenience, or maybe sincerity. Throughout our history, there have been multiple studies on what makes a person more prone to help than another person. With this research study, we can decipher what makes or prevents a person from helping another. By conducting this study, we may be able to provide input for some people on why another person is more likely to help than per say, they are. Darley and LatanГ© (1968) established a study over the Kitty Genovese case from the 1960 s. Darley and LatanГ© (1968) decided to come up with a study to test multiple participants and see if the number of witnesses around an emergency affects a person helping during the emergency. Darley and LatanГ© (1968) determined from the results that the number of bystanders does in fact affect if a person helps. Darley and Batson (1973) also conducted a study on helping behaviors in people. Darley and Batson (1973) gathered 3 hypotheses for this specific study; they hypothesized that people who were in a rush were less likely to help than people who were not in a hurry. They also hypothesized that people who were thinking religious thoughts would not be any more likely to help another person. First of all, rabies virus structure consists of negative sense, unsegmented, a rod which has the shape of a bullet, single stranded, and enveloped RNA virus. It s genome is based on a leader sequence (LDR) of about fifty nucleotides which is followed mainly by five proteins such as phosphoprotein (P), nucleoprotein (N), glycoprotein (G), polymerase (L), and matrix protein (M). These proteins are synthesized and play a role with translation process which occurs on free ribosomes in the cytoplasm. The infection process starts by the synthesis of the rabies virus encapsulated to the host cell membrane (adsorption). Interactions between the G protein and receptors from a specific cell surface may be involved. Once adsorption has occurred, the virus penetrates the host cell and makes its entrance to the cytoplasm by pinocytosis through coated pits made of clathrin. In the large endosomes, also known as cytoplasmic vesicles, a conglomeration of virions can be found. The viral membranes join the endosomal membranes to allow the releasing of viral RNP into the cytoplasm (uncoating). In order to enable replication of the virus, messenger RNAs (mRNAs) have to be transcribed owing to the fact that lyssaviruses have a linear single negative stranded ribonucleic acid (RNA) genome. To begin conceptualizing Antwone s feelings through an Adlerian lens, a counselor might try to spot inferiority feelings within the client. One could argue that Antwone s inferiorities stem from the abuse he suffered at such a young age, which halted the average development most humans encounter. In order for an individual to overcome these inferiorities, they begin to act in compensative behaviors. Since Antwone s traumas began in infancy, he never had any kind of stable environment and the one in which he was finally placed (the Tate s) caused him to quickly feel inferior. Antwone may have ultimately developed an inferiority complex because he was never able to compensate his inferiority feelings as an infant. The inferiority complex that Antwone developed has prevented him from being able to cope with the demands of life enabling him to use violence as a way to forget. We need to continue funding Clinton s plan even if we do start more research in hydrogen fuel cells. A second major problem with the plan is not easy to see at first. You must look much closer at what types of research is being done. There are two ways that hydrogen fuel cells can be made. One is by a reaction with oxygen. These cells are about 70% efficient and the only emissions are water vapor. The second way it by using oil or coal to make the cells. These cells are about 33% efficient and release harmful emissions into the atmosphere (Abelson 1469). I feel that we should fund research into using oxygen as opposed to fossil fuels when making hydrogen ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

(Lorie amp; Savage, 1955, p. 234) Turns out this is an Integer Programming optimization problem as it has identified constraints with the end output being to either accept an investment (using the integer 1), or decline (using the integer 0). Since the Lagrange Multipliers are real values, this is more specifically classified as a Mixed Integer Programming problem. (Trick, 1998) Their research proved to be revolutionary as this strayed from the traditional accepted method in using IRR, and this research has evolved since. One example of this is demonstrated where Seymour Kaplan introduced the concept of applying the Generalized Lagrange Multiplier (G.L.M.) method with Integer Programming, using the Lorie Savage problem as a basis for comparison, that found favorable results in the effectiveness of G.L.M. in producing optimal solutions using NPV to make investment decisions. (Kaplan, 1966, p. 1136) Building on this research was the introduction of using genetic algorithms (GA) to solve capital budgeting problems in allowing financial analysts to find optimal investment combinations for various situations, such as the multiple tax structures a company may encounter. (Berry amp; Manongga, 2006, p. 96) Expanding on the GA implementation was research conducted that incorporated fuzzy set theory on problems when investment parameters contained scant or vague information and therefore had great uncertainty. The process of a desktop study involves correlating background information about the site that will affect the design and construction; from a desk study a large amount of relevant information can be gathered, such as: local context (i.e. what is near to the site, the aesthetic of the surrounding buildings); archaeology (beneath the surface of a site there may be unexploded bombs, remnants of old structures etc.); easements (the rights attached to neighbouring lands, for example right to light); the likelihood of contaminated soil (which we know we do have on our site); site ecology (the surrounding environment and how it coexists together). Having this knowledge of the site before any work has begun allows for easier planning later as obstacles that could have been a costly surprise later can be solved with much better efficiency. The process of a desktop study could also involve looking at OS (ordnance survey) maps of the site which can reveal the previous usage of the site as well as drainage and much more. Geological maps can show what the ground conditions are like on site and if there is any risk of, for example, subsidence occurring or if it already has. I believe the novel has a very important message for readers today. In the novel, The Chrysalids, and in reality presently, many human rightsare being violated. First off, child abuseand torture is a major factor in the novel. Secondly, the intolerance towards the women of Waknuk, and how they are treated. This exact thing is happening around the world, even in our own communities today, as we speak. But I believe this intolerance is most severe in a country called, Afghanistan. Women in this country cannot attend school, have no right to work, cannot have male doctors only females attending them, and have even been ordered to stay in the home. But if they do choose to go out, they cannot show their faces in public, go outside the house alone, wear certain clothes, or even wear shoes that make a clicking sound. Women can not walk alone even in their own neighbourhood without the fear of being stopped, beaten or detained particularly by the religious police as suspected moral offenders. A second is someone who takes the place of the person in the duelshould they be needed to. The duel ends when one person forfeits, the original participant and second are both unable to continue the duel due to being disarmed or seriously injured, or both people being killed. The two informal duels that we studied were the three way duel between Albus Dumbledore, Aberforth Dumbledore, and Gellert Grindelwald, and the massive duel between Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Dobby the House Elf, Bellatrix Lestrange, Fenrir Greyback, and the Malfoy family. Both of these informal duels ended in death.
