This document proposes an LSH-based resource information service (LIS) that aims to achieve high efficiency, fidelity and flexibility for resource discovery in large-scale distributed systems like collaborative cloud computing. It presents three algorithms to transform resource descriptions into integers and uses min-wise independent permutations to build LSH functions. Simulation and experimental results on PlanetLab show the proposed service outperforms other approaches in terms of efficiency, fidelity and flexibility by significantly reducing overhead.

A New Multi-Dimensional Hyperbolic Structure for Cloud Service Indexingijdms
Nowadays, the structure of cloud uses the data processing of simple key value, which cannot adapted in
search of closeness effectively because of the lack of structures of effective indexes, and with the increase of
dimension, the structures of indexes similar to the tree existing could lead to the problem " of the curse of
dimension”. In this paper, we define a new cloud computing architecture in such global index, storage
nodes is based on a Distributed Hash Table (DHT). In order to reduce the cost of calculation, store
different services on the hyperbolic tree by using virtual coordinates thus that greedy routing based on
hyperbolic space properties in order to improve query storage and retrieving performance effectively. Next,
we perform and evaluate our cloud computing indexing structure based on a hyperbolic tree using virtual
coordinates taken in the hyperbolic plane. We show through our experimental results that we compare with
others clouds systems to show our solution ensures consistence and scalability for Cloud platform.

NEURO-FUZZY SYSTEM BASED DYNAMIC RESOURCE ALLOCATION IN COLLABORATIVE CLOUD C...ijccsa
Cloud collaboration is an emerging technology which enables sharing of computer files using cloud
computing. Here the cloud resources are assembled and cloud services are provided using these resources.
Cloud collaboration technologies are allowing users to share documents. Resource allocation in the cloud
is challenging because resources offer different Quality of Service (QoS) and services running on these
resources are risky for user demands. We propose a solution for resource allocation based on multi
attribute QoS Scoring considering parameters such as distance to the resource from user site, reputation of
the resource, task completion time, task completion ratio, and load at the resource. The proposed algorithm
referred to as Multi Attribute QoS scoring (MAQS) uses Neuro Fuzzy system. We have also included a
speculative manager to handle fault tolerance. In this paper it is shown that the proposed algorithm
perform better than others including power trust reputation based algorithms and harmony method which
use single attribute to compute the reputation score of each resource allocated.

Virtual machines are popular because of their efficiency, ease of use and flexibility. There has been an increasing demand for deployment of a robust distributed network for maximizing the performance of such systems
and minimizing the infrastructural cost. In this paper we have discussed various levels at which virtualization can be implemented for distributed computing which can contribute to increased efficiency and performance of distributed
computing. The paper gives an overview of various types of virtualization techniques and their benefits. For eg: Server virtualization helps to create multiple server instances from one physical server. Such techniques will decrease
the infrastructure cost, make the system more scalable and help in full utilization of available resources.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

This slides describes the basic concepts of ICT, basics of Email, Emerging Technology and Digital Initiatives in Education. This presentations aligns with the UGC Paper I syllabus.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

A large-scale resource sharing system (e.g., collaborative cloud computing
and grid computing) creates a virtual supercomputer by providing an
infrastructure for sharing tremendous amounts of resources (e.g.,
computing, storage, and data) distributed over the Internet. A resource
information service, which collects resource data and provides resource
search functionality for locating desired resources, is a crucial component
of the resource sharing system. In addition to resource discovery speed and
cost (i.e., efficiency), the ability to accurately locate all satisfying resources
(i.e., fidelity) is also an important metric for evaluating service quality.
Previously, a number of resource information service systems have been
proposed based on Distributed Hash Tables (DHTs) that offer scalable key-
based lookup functions. However, these systems either achieve high
fidelity at low efficiency, or high efficiency at low fidelity. Moreover, some
systems have limited flexibility by only providing exact-matching services
or by describing a resource using a pre-defined list of attributes. This paper
presents a resource information service that offers high efficiency and
fidelity without restricting resource expressiveness, while also providing a
similar-matching service. Extensive simulation and PlanetLab experimental
2. results show that the proposed service outperforms other services in terms
of efficiency, fidelity, and flexibility; it dramatically reduces overhead and
yields significant enhancements in efficiency and fidelity.
Existing System:
With the tremendous development of cloud computing, collaborative
cloud computing (CCC) has been proposed to connect a large number of
clouds as an alliance that come together to share resources in order to
better respond to large-scale application requirements. CCC can handle the
situation when a single cloud is not sufficient to provide sustainable high-
quality service to some applications with demand for scalable resources or
when researchers want to build a virtual lab environment across
geographical distribution of physical hosts.
Proposed System:
This paper presents an LSH-based resource information Service (LIS) that
combines efficiency, fidelity, and flexibility. LIS offers high efficiency and
fidelity without restricting resource expressiveness, while providing a
similar-matching service. It aims to achieve high efficiency, fidelity and
flexibility. We propose three algorithms to transform a resource description
to a set of integers. We further build LSH functions by combining the
algorithms with min-wise independent permutations.
