ARTICLE VII
School Officials, Teachers and Other Personnel
Section 1. School officials show professional
courtesy, helpfulness and sympathy towards
teachers and other personnel.

professional growth of all teachers.
Section 4. Shall not dismiss or

UPHOLD THE TIME-HONORED PRINCIPLE OF PUBLIC OFFICE
BEING A PUBLIC TRUST, GRANTING INCENTIVES AND REWARDS
FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE, ENUMERATING PROHIBITED ACTS
AND TRANSACTIONS AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATIONS THEREOF AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
ARTICLE VIII
The Teacher and Learners
Section 1. Has the right and duty to determine the
academic marks and promotion of learners in the
subjects they handle.
Section 2. Recognize that the interest and welfare of
learners are his first and foremost concern, and handle
each learner justly and impartially.
Section 3. Shall not be prejudiced nor discriminate any
learner.
Section 4. Shall not accept favors or gifts from learners,
parents and others in exchange for requested
concessions.
Section 5. Shall not accept, directly or indirectly, any
remuneration from tutorials.
Section 6. Base evaluation of the learner’s work on
merit and quality of academic performance.
Section 7. Exercise utmost discretion to avoid scandal,
gossip and preferential treatment of the learner.
Section 8 Shall not inflict corporal punishment on
offending learners nor make deductions from their
scholastic ratings.
Section 9. Insure that conditions contributive to the
maximum development of learners are adequate.

The Teacher and Business
Section 1. Has a right to engage, directly or
indirectly, in legitimate income generation.

  • 14. ARTICLE VIII The Teacher and Learners Section 1. Has the right and duty to determine the academic marks and promotion of learners in the subjects they handle. Section 2. Recognize that the interest and welfare of learners are his first and foremost concern, and handle each learner justly and impartially. Section 3. Shall not be prejudiced nor discriminate any learner.
  • 15. Section 4. Shall not accept favors or gifts from learners, parents and others in exchange for requested concessions.
  • 16. Section 5. Shall not accept, directly or indirectly, any remuneration from tutorials. Section 6. Base evaluation of the learner’s work on merit and quality of academic performance. Section 7. Exercise utmost discretion to avoid scandal, gossip and preferential treatment of the learner.

  • 26. ARTICLE XIII EFFECTIVITY Section 1 This Code shall take effect upon approval by the Professional Regulation Commission and after sixty (60) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or any newspaper of general circulation, whichever is earlier.
