For every $500 spent at S&K, enrolled members earn $50 in Style Rewards that can be used for their next purchase. Members have 60 days to redeem Style Rewards. To date, S&K has enrolled 750,000 members in the program. In early 2009, S&K transitioned from mailed welcome letters to email welcome letters – saving over $250,000 annually in mailing costs. Referral module generated over $2 million in sales in 2008-2009.

20. S&K Gives Back Affinity Program Launched S&K Gives Back in August, 2008. Customers enroll their favorite church, charity or school and earn donation dollars every time they shop at S&K. Program is managed by Romeo Advertising on a separate website at www.skgivesback.com . S&K donates 5% with each qualifying purchase from enrolled members. Checks are published every 30 days. Affinity program sales achieved a 2.5% total sales penetration after 8 months. As of April 2009, program had over 5,000 enrolled organizations. Unique referral program. Organizations could create custom posters, web banners and email messages at no additional cost.

21. S&K Online Coupons In February 2009, we launched an online coupon initiative that was designed to drive in-store traffic. Customers can find S&K coupons on over 75 popular shopping websites. After four months, program achieved 2% penetration to total sales. These coupon customers spend 60% more than our average customer ($200 vs. company average of $125.) 50% of these customers were NEW customers. One partner funded a paid SEO campaign, generating $12 in revenue per click. S&K pays only a % of sales, so there’s no cash outlay and we pay only for qualified sales. We are enhancing our tracking technology that will allow S&K to participate in popular affinity programs such as u-promise, i-give and popular reward programs such as Bank of America.

22. S&K Menswear eStore Re-launched e-commerce site in 2007. Increased sales by 77% in 2008. S&K had 1 million visitors to our site in 2008 – that’s over 2,500 potential customers a day! eStore customers increased their average transaction by 21% in 2008. S&K site accounts for 72% of online sales, AAFES 17% and Amazon 11%. Launched a new affiliate marketing program in early 2009, which expanded site traffic significantly. Optimized site to make it easier to shop, filter and get in touch with us. Reduced SKU’s from 800 to high-turning 400.

23. S&K Direct Mail database S&K Menswear owns a database of 1 million active customer records. We profiled our customers and divided them into 10 unique segments with unique ROI analytics. S&K has significantly improved direct mail response rates in 2008 by providing more frequent preferred customer offers and improved targeting. Most successful promotions include 50% off invitations and 25% off Employee Discount events.

24. S&K Email Marketing S&K Menswear utilizes email marketing as a customer communication tool. Transitioning away from expensive direct mail to low cost email communication. S&K started program with opt-in rates of 5%. After one year, program was enrolling customers at a 50% opt-in rate. We can tailor messages to different customer segments or geographic targets. S&K communicates weekly with our customers and enjoy an open/view rate of between 10% and 20%.
