The Earth is divided into five climate zones based on temperature: two cool climate zones within the polar circles where the sun's rays hit obliquely and temperatures are always cold; two temperate zones between the tropics and polar circles where the sun's rays hit at a greater angle and temperatures are mild and vary seasonally; and a hot climate zone between the Tropic of Cancer and Capricorn where the sun's rays hit perpendicularly, temperatures are always high, and there is little seasonal variation.

The Sun’s rays reach the Earth at a perpendicular angle all year round, so temperature are always high. There is very little difference between the seasons.
