The document discusses past and potential future paradigms in education in light of technological advances. It outlines paradigm shifts from reproductive to productive learning, behaviorism to constructivism, teacher-centered to learner-centered approaches, teaching-centered to learning-centered models, and teaching to learning facilitation. Looking ahead, it argues the current constructivist paradigm will be challenged and institutions should focus on enabling learners to navigate vast information rather than just transmit content. A potential "navigationist" paradigm is proposed where teachers act as guides and learners develop skills to navigate knowledge on their own.

The present study aims to provide some helpful techniques that guide EFL students in writing essays based on de Bono’s The Six Thinking Hats, hoping that these techniques can help EFL Master Students in writing their dissertations. The researchers selected first-year Master's students at Dr. Moulay Tahar University, Saida. The sample of the study consists of 39 students forming the experimental group. Before starting the experiment, the group had a pretest. After that, they were taught how to use the Six Thinking Hats Approach in writing the abstract and general introduction. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant difference between the results of the pretest and posttest. The result also indicated that the use of the Six Thinking Hats technique provides mechanisms that can enhance the EFL student’s writing skill mainly, in writing dissertations. It is recommended that more importance should be given to practice in developing students’ writing skills. This may enhance the teaching process by implementing techniques that include cognitive abilities in writing tasks that may also improve their critical thinking.

Investigating the Integration of Culture Teaching in Foreign Language Classroom: A Case Study
Dr. Samah Benzerroug (Department of English) & Dr. Souhila Benzerroug (Department of French),
Teacher Training College of Bouzareah, Algiers, Algeria
Many scholars argue that language and culture are closely related to each other and hence the teaching of a foreign language cannot take place without the teaching of its corresponding culture which helps promoting language learning and enhancing learners’ motivation and performance (Corbett, J. (2003); (1996); Hinkel, E. (1999); Kramsch, C. (2006)). This being the case, the present study aims at putting emphasis on the importance and significance of integrating culture teaching in foreign language classroom in the Algerian school. It seeks to investigate whether foreign language teachers grant significant value and interest to the foreign language culture. Therefore, a descriptive analysis of the English and French textbooks of the secondary education was carried out to identify and examine the way the cultural dimensions are being dealt with. In addition, a survey was conducted by addressing a questionnaire to a number of secondary school teachers of English and French to investigate to what extent they consider culture teaching in their classroom. The research results revealed that despite the fact that there is a move towards fostering culture teaching, the textbooks still offer few tasks that deal with cultural aspects and teachers are still unfamiliar with the techniques to promote it in the classroom, thus they neglect culture teaching and prefer to focus on other aspects in the class like accuracy, fluency and language skills development. In light of these findings, a number of considerable implications and recommendation are presented to foreign language teachers and language policy decision-makers to stress the importance of integrating culture teaching and adequately implement it in the classroom.

THE APPLICATION OF ART IN THE ENHANCEMENT OF SPEAKING SKILLS IN GREEK STATE P...IJITE
The findings show that visual arts-based instruction positively impacts learners' oracy abilities, vocabulary
development, and formulaic assimilation. Art has always been a potent medium for teachers of all subjects
contributing to learners’ social, emotional, intellectual and physical evolution. However, it often becomes
subjugated and considered as unnecessary and extracurricular. The particular research aims at exploring
the ways Art can be integrated into the first grade of Greek State Primary School curriculum for English
language learning and exploited for the benefit of young learners. More specifically, this research aims to
investigate whether art, and particularly visual arts, can emerge as an invaluable tool which will enhance
instruction for the learning of English as a foreign language, thus triggering motivation which will lead to
young learners’ enhancement of their speaking skills. In addition to this, this research explores the effects
of visual arts-based instruction on vocabulary, and language chunks development, through young learners’
engagement in a number of multisensory tasks deriving from works of art presented to them. For this
reason, action research was carried out among thirty-two first grade learners of a state primary school in
Greece, who were divided into two groups, a control and an experimental group. The information obtained
through both quantitative and qualitative tools of data collection will be exploited for this research as they
can prove that the participants of the experimental group improved substantially concerning all the three
variables compared to the participants of the control group. The results of this small-case research cannot
be disregarded as they indicate that the use of visual arts can have a considerably positive effect on young
learners’ receptive and productive oracy skills.

This document summarizes an article from the Modares Educational Journal in TEFL that analyzes the use of metadiscourse in applied linguistics journal articles written in English by native English writers and Iranian writers. Metadiscourse refers to linguistic elements that help guide readers through a text and project the writer's voice and stance. The study examines 40 journal articles using Hyland's model of metadiscourse, which categorizes elements as interactive or interactional. The results show that native English writers use slightly more metadiscourse overall, but the difference is not significant. Evidentials and transitions are the most common elements for both groups. Overall, interactive elements are used more than interactional ones. The study suggests Iranian
This document is a report by Gabrielle Pratten on literacy teaching and text construction. It discusses six portfolio tasks demonstrating knowledge of topics like ICTs in 21st century classrooms, multiliteracies pedagogy, and analyzing different text types. It emphasizes the importance of acknowledging changing technologies and preparing students. Key terms in literacy like constructivism and scaffolding are explained. Multiliteracies and using multiple semiotic systems in text construction are also addressed. Different features of factual and fictional texts are analyzed. A short video on literacy is created to improve multimedia skills. The conclusion reflects on gaining a deeper understanding of literacy teaching through diverse methods and text types.
This presentation looks at applying multiliteracies to TEFL (teaching English as a Foreign Language). Multiliteracies was a language learning concept based on semiotics that allowed for and included new media modes of communication in the 1990s. Whilst the language learning situation has changed considerably since that time, the concept of multiliteracies is still relevant in terms of opening up and supplementing TEFL practice.
The document discusses the need for multiliteracy in the 21st century classroom. It explores various sources that argue students must develop skills beyond traditional literacy to communicate and learn in a technology-driven world. Multiliteracy involves teaching students to interpret and create multimodal texts using visual, audio, and spatial modes of meaning in addition to print. Effective multiliteracy pedagogy employs strategies like scaffolding, multiple intelligences, project-based learning, and fostering students' home languages in diverse classrooms. As technologies continue advancing, multiliteracy skills will remain important for lifelong learning.
This study sought to determine the potential place of Afrikaans and IsiXhosa as
indigenous languages to promote communication education in South African
Universities. This study examined the approaches and curriculum development of the

The Effect of Listening Activities on Students' Listening Comprehensionijtsrd
The document discusses the effect of different listening activities (pre-listening, while-listening, and post-listening) on students' listening comprehension. It describes each type of activity and analyzes the results of a test administered to 30 students, which found that while-listening activities had the strongest positive impact on listening comprehension scores. Specifically, the group that listened to a text and questions twice during the activity scored highest on average. The document concludes that various listening activities can help improve EFL students' development of the important listening skill.
This document contains annotations for references related to literacy education. It summarizes 12 sources that discuss multiliteracies and the importance of a multiliteracies approach in education, which allows for the integration of technology and accounts for linguistic and cultural diversity. The annotations describe how the sources address topics like new literacies, using web tools in the classroom, incorporating digital games and multimedia, and the need for teachers to adapt their pedagogies for multiliteracies.
Currently, the application of the network resources and various means of teaching such as multimedia into the classroom has led to the demonstration of multimodality in college English teaching. This paper
analyzes the current status of college English teaching and the existing problems, elaborates the research trends of the theory of multimodal discourse analysis, and aims to explore the question as how to construct college English teaching model from the perspective of multimodal discourse. Under the multimodalitybased college English teaching model, teachers should concentrate on cultivating students’ multi-literacy,
coordinating different modalities, to achieve the teaching objectives.

This study examined the approaches and curriculum development of the
use of Afrikaans and IsiXhosa to teach journalism trainees in Rhodes and North-West
Universities. For the purpose of this study, uses and gratification theory was employed

The current stage of human development is characterized by the rapid development of globalization processes. From an economic point of view, globalization means the formation and development of a system of economic relations that covers the entire space of the world economy. Therefore, in the context of globalization, the problem of forming an active person who can make independent decisions, set and implement goals, and consciously evaluate their own activities is becoming urgent. Ensuring that the educational process is organized on the basis of developmental technologies is one of the urgent tasks today. Now the teacher must not only teach knowledge and develop practical skills, but also teach students to learn, research and make decisions independently. Standardization and Formulations of Calotropis ProceraYogeshIJTSRD
Plants growing in arid regions have elicited increased attention, because the hostile environment, in which these plants survive, forces them to develop chemical protective systems through adaptation which is rarely found in vegetation of other ecosystems. Furthermore, many of the plants grow in areas, where the dependence on traditional, plant based medicines over industrially produced pharmaceuticals persists to this day. The two plants, Calotopris Procera giant milkweed, also named C. Persica and Calotropis gigantea crown ower , have been used widely in traditional medicine in North Africa, the Middle East, and South and South East Asia. This has led to extensive research on the chemical constituents of the plants. Both plants are known to be sources of cardenolides, and newer research has yielded a number of interesting cancer active constituents. In addition, extracts of both plants have remarkable nematocidal, molluscidal and insecticidal activities. In many regions, the wood of Calotropis plants has been used as a building material and as a source of fuel. In addition, certain parts of the plants have been used as feed for livestock. In other regions, Calotropis plants are seen as invasive species that threaten local plant life and that due to their toxicity also pose a threat to grazing eld animals. Review of the Diagnosis and Treatment of ParalysisYogeshIJTSRD
Paralysis is a complete loss of motor power in any muscle group. When paralysis affects all four extremities, it is called quadriplegia when it affects only the lower extremities, paraplegia and when it affects the extremities on one side of the body, hemiplegic. For this reason, the term paralysis is generally reserved for more focal, less stereotyped weakness, for instance, affecting all the muscles innervated by a peripheral nerve. Many different anatomical lesions and etiologies can cause paralysis and determine its treatment. Bikash Debsingha | Dr. Gourav Kr. Automatic Query Expansion Using Word Embedding Based on Fuzzy Graph Connectiv...YogeshIJTSRD
The aim of information retrieval systems is to retrieve relevant information according to the query provided. The queries are often vague and uncertain. Thus, to improve the system, we propose an Automatic Query Expansion technique, to expand the query by adding new terms to the user s initial query so as to minimize query mismatch and thereby improving retrieval performance. Most of the existing techniques for expanding queries do not take into account the degree of semantic relationship among words. In this paper, the query is expanded by exploring terms which are semantically similar to the initial query terms as well as considering the degree of relationship, that is, “fuzzy membership- between them. The terms which seemed most relevant are used in expanded query and improve the information retrieval process. The experiments conducted on the queries set show that the proposed Automatic query expansion approach gave a higher precision, recall, and F measure then non fuzzy edge weights. A New Proposal for Smartphone Based Drowsiness Detection and Warning System f...YogeshIJTSRD
This paper proposes a Smartphone based system for the detection of drowsiness in automotive drivers. The proposed system uses three stage drowsiness detection technique. The first stage uses the percentage of eyelid closure PERCLOS which is obtained by capturing images with the front camera of the Smartphone with a modified eye state classification method. The system uses near infrared lighting for illuminating the face of the driver during night driving. The second step uses the voiced to the unvoiced ratio VUR obtained from the speech data from the microphone, in the event PERCLOS crosses the threshold. The VUR is also compared with a threshold and if it is a value greater than that of the threshold, it moves on to the next verification stage. In the final verification stage, touch response is required within the stipulated time to declare whether the driver is drowsy or not and subsequently sound an alarm. To awake the driver, a vibrating mechanism is done and also the live GPS location is also sent to an emergency contact. We have studied eight other reference papers for the literature review. The system has three advantages over existing drowsiness detection systems. First, the three stage verification process makes the system more reliable. The second advantage is its implementation on an Android smart phone, which is readily available to most drivers or cab owners as compared to other general purpose embedded platforms. The third advantage is the use of SMS service to inform the control room as well as the passenger regarding the loss of attention of the driver. Data Security by AES Advanced Encryption StandardYogeshIJTSRD
Now a days with the rapid development of multimedia technologies, research on safety and security are becoming more important. Multimedia data are generated and transmitted through the communication channels and the wireless media. The efficiencies of encryption based on different existing algorithms are not up to the satisfactory limit. Hence researchers are trying to modify the existing algorithm or even develop new algorithms that help to increase security with a little encryption time. Here in this paper, we have furnished a new technology to modify the AES algorithm which gives more security with a little encryption time and which can be used to encrypt using 128 bit key. Theoretical analysis on the proposed algorithm with the existing reveals the novelty of our work. Here we have proposed a technique to randomize the key and hidden the key data into an encrypted digital image using the basics concept of cryptography and also using the concept of digital watermarking, the concept of key hide has also been encrypted. We have also proposed a new technique to reposition the pixels to break the correlation between them. So, the proposed scheme offers a more secure and cost effective mechanism for encryption. Next on the AES criteria list good performance. Widespread market adoption will require reasonably good performance on a variety of platforms, ranging from easy tocrack smart cards to the largest servers. Good algorithm performance includes speed for the encryption and decryption process as well as the key schedule. Antimicrobial and Phytochemical Screening of Phyllantus NiruriYogeshIJTSRD
Theorigin of Phyllanthus niruri is tropical America from there it spread as a weed to other tropic and sub tropics. It is a tropical annual herb shrub which grows as weed in moist humid waste land. Phyllanthus niruri is among more than 500 Phyllanthus species that are widely spread in temperate and tropical climates region Lizuka et al., 2007. It grows 30 40 cm in height, has small leaves and yellow flowers the stem has green capsule, and blooms with flowers with 5 white sepals and apical acute anther.38g of Mueller Hinton Agar was dissolved in 1000ml distilled water in a conical flask, the mouth of the conical flask was plugged with cotton woo wrapped in aluminium foil. This was sterilized in an autoclave at 121oC for 15mns. The media was removed and allowed to cool to 45oC, later poured into a sterilized plastic petri plates which were appropriately labeled. The present study revealed the antimicrobial activity and phytochemical screening of phyllanthus niruri. The antimicrobial activity of phyllanthus niruri shows great significant against pathogens which are responsible for common infections of skin, respiratory, urinary and gastrointestinal tracts. The phytochemical screening of oxalate, terpenoids, tannins, phenols, quinones, flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins and steroids were all found to be active within the plant. This bioactive phytochemicals present in P. niruri can be useful for further researches on the plant P. nururi since the phytochemicals have shown preclinical efficacies for treating human diseases’ which include hepatitis and HIV AIDS. Security Sector Reform toward Professionalism of Military and PoliceYogeshIJTSRD
The need to understand and at the same time give prescriptions for the direction of security reform in Third world countries after the end of World War II has prompted the emergence of a big project called the study of security reform SSR . Within this framework emerge various theories and strategies for security reform, with various variations, including ideological variations that underlie these theories. The reform of the structural aspect is a reform of the institutional and structure of an institution, the instrumental reform includes the reform of the system, laws and regulations, while the reform of the cultural aspect is a reform of the habits or organizational culture in institutions in general and in particular the Timor Leste’s security institutions, both military and police. Comparative Analysis of Different Numerical Methods for the Solution of Initi...YogeshIJTSRD
A mathematical equation which involves a function and its derivatives is called a differential equation. We consider a real life situation, from this form a mathematical model, solve that model using some mathematical concepts and take interpretation of solution. It is a well known and popular concept in mathematics because of its massive application in real world problems. Differential equations are one of the most important mathematical tools used in modeling problems in Physics, Biology, Economics, Chemistry, Engineering and medical Sciences. Differential equation can describe many situations viz exponential growth and de cay, the population growth of species, the change in investment return over time. We can solve differential equations using classical as well as numerical methods, In this paper we compare numerical methods of solving initial valued first order ordinary differential equations namely Euler method, Improved Euler method, Runge Kutta method and their accuracy level. Evaluation of Different Paving Mixes Using Optimum Stabilizing ContentYogeshIJTSRD
Bituminous mixes are most commonly used all over the world in flexible pavement construction. It consists of asphalt or bitumen used as a binder and mineral aggregate which are mixed together, laid down in layers and then compacted. Under normal circumstances, conventional bituminous pavements if designed and executed properly perform quite satisfactorily but the performance of bituminous mixes is very poor under various situations. Today’s asphaltic concrete pavements are expected to perform better as they are experiencing increased volume of traffic, increased loads and increased variations in daily or seasonal temperature over what has been experienced in the past. In addition, the performance of bituminous pavements is found to be very poor in moisture induced situations. Considering this a lot of work has been done on use of additives in bituminous mixtures and as well as on modification of bitumen. Research has indicated that the addition of polymers to asphalt binders helps to increase the interfacial cohesiveness of the bond between the aggregate and the binder which can enhance many properties of the asphalt pavements to help meet these increased demands. However, the additive that is to be used for modification of mix or binder should satisfy both the strength requirements as well as economical aspects. 4. trade and commercial sphere of communication;
5. family and household communication environment;
6. sports and recreation sphere of communication [8].
According to Voronina, this classificationgivenisidentical to
the definition of authentic materials given who in turn
defines authentic texts as texts that are taken from the
communicative practice of native speakers. She identified
two types of authentic texts that are presented in different
genre forms in the following: 1) functional: advertising,
instructive, explanatory or warning function (signs, theater
programs, diagrams, road signs, drawings); 2) informative
that performs information function containing information
that is constantly updated (topical sensational information,
announcements, letters from readerstoprintmedia,articles,
interviews, explanations for statistics, graphics,
commentary) [5].
When we analyzed the notion of authentic materials we
came up with the statements in the following: Kirienko
assumes that it is considered to be an authentictextthat was
initially unsuitable for educational purposes, that is a text
written for native speakers by the native speakers of this
language [6]. On the other hand, our methodologists note
that authentic materials that are produced for native
speakers that are actually original texts created for real
conditions.
We may come across with a question in the following: are
inauthentic materials (when they are far from the real
language) can make the learners good listeners, readersand
speakers? Thus, it can be more preferable to teach the
foreign language usingauthenticmaterialsthatarematerials
taken from original sources and were not intended for
educational purposes.
However, Milrud notes that there are some disadvantages of
such materials that are complex in the linguistic aspect and
may not always correspond to specific tasks and learning
conditions, highlighting methodological authentic texts.
Authentic educational texts should be understood as texts
compiled by the authors of the teaching materials that take
into consideration all the parameters of authentic
educational production that can be presented in summary
tables. Milrud developed the followingparametersauthentic
educational text that considers a set of structural features of
such a text that meets the norms that are accepted by native
speakers [11]. A text is an authentic that is characterized by
the naturalness of thelexical contentandgrammatical forms,
the situational adequacy of the linguistic means and
demonstrates with the help of illustrations as well.
METHODOLOGY
A question might be arisen: Are authentic materials should
be used only in teaching reading and listening? Also, how
might this affect the students? If we suppose that we gave
students at the elementary level a page from Ch. Dickens’
work or an article froma daily/weeklynewspaper.Theymay
not understand these texts and might be disappointed with
it. However, students may also get frustrated when they
faced with light texts. Thus, extreme positions should not be
used in the educational process and both authentic and
inauthentic texts should be placed in textbooks. On the
contrary, all of them should be understandable to students,
and correspond to their language competence reflecting
realistic models of written or spoken language as well.
According to Milrud and Nosonovich’s, authentic materials
include: articles, advertisements,recipes,shortstories/tales,
personal letters, interviews, regional and popular science
texts, short extracts/passages from writers’ diaries [1, 11].
They include authenticity of the genre and the fact that
genre-compositional diversity allows studentstofamiliarize
themselves with speech cliché, vocabulary, phraseologisms
that are associated with different spheres of life and belong
to different styles. Justifying the use of authentic texts that
are intended for the native speakers themselves, Milrud
emphasizes substantive aspects of authenticity in the
following:
1. Authenticity of assignments to texts is that study
assignments should stimulate interaction with the text,
and should be based on the sources of information;
2. Authentic design is that grabs attention students and
thereby simplifies understanding of a communicative
task, the text and the establishment of its links with
reality;
3. Reactive authenticity is the development of educational
text that it needs to be given the ability to evoke in
students an authentic mental, emotional and speech
response;
4. Situational authenticity implies reality of the situation
that is offered as an educational illustration, interest
native speakers to this topic, simplicity of itsdiscussion;
5. Informative authenticity is that the use of texts that
provide learners with meaningful information that
corresponds to their interests and age characteristics;
6. Cultural authenticity that is using texts that form the
students’ idea of the specifics of another culture, habits
and attitudes of native speakers;
7. Authenticity of national mentality that is able to explain
to students the appropriateness or inappropriateness
use of a particular phrase or word.
Therefore, there is no universal and complete definition of
authenticity. Authentic materials can be defined as those
materials that were created by native speakers for native
speakers for non-educational purposes, corresponding to
original literary, folklore, visual, musical works, as well as
real-life objects such as furniture, clothing, dishes and their
illustrative images. In the methodology, there is the
following classification of pragmatic (authentic) materials,
depending on their use in a particular area and sphere of
communication in our life:
1. Educational and professional sphere of communication;
2. Social and cultural sphere of communication;
3. Everyday sphere of communication;
4. Trade and commercial sphere of communication;
5. Family and household communication environment;
6. Sports and recreation sphere of communication.
Authentic texts are characterized by the originality oflexical
content in linguistic aspect. The sociocultural background of
authentic materials is realized through a productive
vocabulary that includes the most significant lexical units
that are common in daily conversations,situations,including
evaluative vocabulary to express opinion, colloquial cliches
and words related to a national-cultural component. The
authenticity of educational material is a relative property
that depends on a number of factors. Suchfactorsmaybethe
conditions in which the given educational material isapplied
and the individual characteristics of students, the goals of
the teacher as well.

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The specialists identified major reasons that determine the
necessity of using authentic materials during the lesson: a)
using authentic materials, students learn the language for
live communication; b) authentic materials correspond to
the interests of students having a positive impact on the
motivation of students; c) increase of teaching efficiency; d)
authentic materials introduce students to the culture of the
target language [10].
In other words, authentic materialscanhelptoovercome the
language barrier taught in the lesson and the language that
people use to communicate in certain real life situations.
Authentic texts in their original form are unsuitable for
educational purposes. For this reason, they should be
subjected to didactic manipulation. These manipulations
could be: processing of the structure and linguistic forms of
the text, its combination with other educational materials,
the provision in a foreign language environment can violate
its authenticity as well. In order for studentsto recognizethe
text in a real situation, it is necessary to preserve the
identifying features of the original text taking into account
the criteria for its authenticity that are: the addressee, the
purpose of the message, the external form, environment,
code and tonality. The text that was chosen as a teaching
material, can be processed by: a) removing one complete
part from the whole, for example: an interview from a
television program; b) using the collage technique; c)
segmentation; d) reduction; e) drawing up an annotation; f)
omissions, additions, substitutions, separate words; g)
