The skeleton is formed by bones joined together which allows the body to move. Muscles are responsible for moving the bones by contracting and relaxing. Cartilage sits between bones to allow for smooth joint movement. Together, bones, muscles, and cartilage make up the skeletal system which supports the body and enables movement.
