Why are we here?
What did the donor want – transboundary collaborative research
• Facilitate the spread of citizen science methods through the academic
community (we link citizen science and environmental long term
monitoring academics)
• Expand the range of people from outside of academia involved in
research (we have invited many organisations and community groups).
• Co-create novel approaches to tackling societal challenges (output from
our virtual meetings)

3. What do we want to achieve?
To co-design a new multidisciplinary
citizen science program
A total of £1.5 million will be available…, which will be open to researchers in any discipline...
The call will support research collaborations that take novel approaches to involving the
public in research and encourage researchers from a range of disciplines to work together.
