A 24 years old female complains “my head feels heavy, can’t bend down, something tight feeling around the head, my nose is stuffed, and I cannot breath. I got very ill one winter, dizzy, fever, congestion, and ear infection, fatigue. My sinuses were constantly draining, green, thick mucus. Because I let it go so long thinking it was just a cold, it turned into Bronchitis and I was out of work for 2 weeks on a strong course of antibiotics.” this is what we hear most of them complaining. Preventive measures include maintaining hygiene, avoiding allergens and smoke, and getting flu vaccines. Diagnosis involves physical examination, imaging tests, and endoscopy.

Yoga is being increasingly used as an adjuvant therapy for various conditions based on research done in the past many decades. This paper attempts to focus on the scientific basis of some Yoga practices such as Neti and Nada Pranayamas that may help in the prevention and management of sinusitis. This can help us understand the mechanisms through which these Yoga practices can help as an adjuvant therapy in preventing and managing sinusitis. This provides us the confidence to use these therapies as an inexpensive and safe method even in primary health care setting.

the treatment of sinus-related woes.
Chronic sinusitis, also known as chronic rhinosinusitis, is a common
complaint in the world of ear, nose, and throat medicine. The condition
occurs when the sinuses become inflamed, swollen, or irritated. To be
considered chronic, sinusitis must last 12 or more weeks through treatment
attempts.
The primary symptoms of sinusitis include unusual discharges from the nose
and down the back of the throat. Nasal obstructions, pain or pressure, and
problems smelling or tasting are also common. Some patients experience a
sore throat, cough, fatigue, or nausea.
Seeing a doctor is generally advisable if these symptoms last more than a
week or if sinusitis has occurred previously. If sinusitis is accompanied by
high fever, severe headache, stiff neck, double vision, or other serious
symptoms, the patient should see a doctor as soon as possible.
