vertigo, which is typically associated with inner ear or brain
problems that cause symptoms such as dizziness.
The type of vertigo associated with inner ear inflammation
is characterized by sudden onset. Some people
experiencing vertigo may also have Meniere's disease,
which is linked to a combination of hearing loss and
tinnitus, or ringing in the ears. Patients with the disease
often experience symptom-free periods in combination
with an abrupt occurrence of severe vertigo.

3. Vertigo
 Other patients may simply have benign paroxysmal
positional vertigo, which is triggered by sudden head
movements, such as rolling in bed, and typically lasts
no longer than a few minutes. Rarely serious, this type
of vertigo is treatable. One serious condition
associated with vertigo symptoms is multiple sclerosis.
Usually occurring abruptly, the disease is also
characterized by eyes that are not fully able to move
past the midline in the direction of the nose.
