Nolan
Christopher Nolan was born
on the 30th July 1970. He is an
English-American screenwriter,
film director and producer. He
has directed many of the most
much-admired and extremely
successful films of the early 21st
century. His nine films have
grossed over $4.2 billion
worldwide and have earned
him a total of 26 Oscar
nominations with 7 of them
being awarded to him.

Christopher Nolan’s signature shot is the roll, a
camera movement where the camera does a barrel
roll that turns everything we see in view, Nolan
used this shot in many of his movies.
He is look upon as an auteur and postmodern
filmmaker, Nolan's visual style highlights urban
settings, men in suits, muted colours, dialogue
scenes framed with a wide close-up with a shallow
depth of field and modern locations and
architecture. He has noted that all of his films are
heavily influenced by film noir.

writing credits, even though he
wrote the final draft of the
script.

directed and co – wrote the
film. The film features the
character batman from the
DC comics and was the
second film in the dark
knight trilogy and was also
the batman begins sequel
produced in 2005. The film
also stars another DC
comic character called the
Joker, batman’s arch
enemy who seeks chaos
and violence. Nolan's
inspiration for the film was
the Joker's comic book
debut in 1940.
