DRAMATIZED
EXPERIENCES
- by Dramatization, we can participate in a
reconstructed experience, even though
the original event is far remove from
time. We relive the outbreak of the
Philippine revolution by acting out the
role of characters in a drama.
Dramatized Experiences can range
from the Formal Plays, Pageants to
less formal Tableau, Pantomime,
Puppets, and Role Playing.
PLAYS
- depict life, characters, or culture or
a combination of all three. They offer
excellent opportunities to portray
vividly important ideas about life.
 Pageants
– are usually community dramas
that are based on local history,
presented by local actors.
Pantomime
– is the “art of conveying a story
through bodily movements. Its effect
on the audience depends on the
movements of the actors.
 Tableau
- (a French word which means
Picture ) it is a picture – like scene
composed of people against a
background.
 Puppets
– show can involve the entire
group of students – as speakers of
parts, manipulators of the figures,
and makers of the puppets.

 Shadow Puppets
Rod Puppets
Hand Puppets
Glove – and Finger Puppets
Marionettes
Role – Playing
- is an unrehearsed, unprepared, and
spontaneous dramatization of a “let’s
pretend” situation where assigned
participants are absorbed by their own
roles in the situation.

  • 2. - by Dramatization, we can participate in a reconstructed experience, even though the original event is far remove from time. We relive the outbreak of the Philippine revolution by acting out the role of characters in a drama.
  • 3. Dramatized Experiences can range from the Formal Plays, Pageants to less formal Tableau, Pantomime, Puppets, and Role Playing.
  • 4. PLAYS - depict life, characters, or culture or a combination of all three. They offer excellent opportunities to portray vividly important ideas about life.
  • 5.  Pageants – are usually community dramas that are based on local history, presented by local actors.
  • 6. Pantomime – is the “art of conveying a story through bodily movements. Its effect on the audience depends on the movements of the actors.
  • 7.  Tableau - (a French word which means Picture ) it is a picture – like scene composed of people against a background.
  • 8.  Puppets – show can involve the entire group of students – as speakers of parts, manipulators of the figures, and makers of the puppets.
  • 9. Types of PUPPETS  Shadow Puppets Rod Puppets Hand Puppets Glove – and Finger Puppets Marionettes
  • 10. Role – Playing - is an unrehearsed, unprepared, and spontaneous dramatization of a “let’s pretend” situation where assigned participants are absorbed by their own roles in the situation.
