If any given person were to walk into my dorm room they most likely wouldn t be too impressed with
it. The one item that would stand out the most is water bottles. I have close to a case of empty water
bottles just sitting around my desk, my nightstand, and piled up in the recycling bin. I refill each water
bottle about 2 to 3 times after drinking one but now I m all out and refuse to buy another case of water
bottles. I never realized how harmful they are too the environment until this class. Never had I realized
how much unnecessary waste I contribute into our environment and it s time for me to start finding

would take about two or three water bottles a day, which was absurd now that I look back on it. If had

Following our presentation of why cooperative learning benefits students in mathematics, we hoped
the class would be able to distinguish the differences between direct learning environments from
cooperative learning. Additionally, we hoped the class would understand how all students become
active participants in their learning through cooperative learning and receive higher academic success.
Lastly, it was a goal of ours that the class recognized the acquired skills students gain from

Religious imagery is something that can be found in artwork all through the centuries. An anonymous
world renowned graffiti artist who goes by Banksy places traditional paintings in public places altered
to send an iconoclastic message about society and government. In this image he depicts a traditional
figure of Jesus dying on the cross, but in his hands can be found shopping bags full of presents and

Aristotle, a revolutionary thinker whose ideas shaped Greek tragedy. Within his theory of tragedy is
the concept of the tragic hero, whose great, ironic flaw leads to his own downfall. The tragic hero is of

relate. The hero undergoes a massive revelation and experiences dramatic enlightenment. The tragedy
of King Lear, written by William Shakespeare, illustrates the story of a proud and self centered king,

we copyrighted some of the constitution it is still one of the most ingenious writings in the world. The
first document to influence the constitution was the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta declared everyone
was subject to law, even the king. It also said that no one could be put through cruel or unusual

My heart hammered in my chest as I raced out of the doorway just ahead of another explosion.
Fragments from the blast sent pinpricks of searing pain shooting through my nervous system and gave
me a new spurt of energy. Screaming like a madman, I sped across the courtyard and then scrambled
over a low wall, falling into what I hoped was some sort of temporary refuge. The constant string of
explosions abated, so I attempted to collect myself and take stock of my situation. My injuries weren t
all that serious, so I hastily popped a pain pill into my parched mouth and washed it with a refreshing
swig of water from my flask. Noting an angle in the wall to my left, I scurried around a small shrub
towards the safety of two solid walls at my back and the protective screen of the bush. And I found my
salvation there, nestled in the shadows of a recess at the bottom of the wall. Like a jackal to carrion I
pounced and scooped my prize up, then crouched in my obscure hiding spot. I tensely scanned
