Childhood Obesity Creative Exercises for kids Mini Triathlon Find items you have at home that require movement (examples hula hoop, basketball, soccer ball, hopscotch) Set the items around the yard, and set a timer so that each child participates in each activity for 5-10 minutes and then moves to the next activity Offer a reward or treat as a prize for completing all of the tasks this will help encourage the child to partake in more exercises. (Galloway, 2007).
