This document summarizes a medical case involving a 51-year-old female patient with a history of acute myeloid leukemia who presented with a two-week history of fever, cough, and sputum production. On examination, she exhibited signs of infection including fever and right-sided lung crackles. Laboratory tests showed pancytopenia. She has been diagnosed with a chest infection in the setting of her AML and persistent leukopenia from prior chemotherapy. She is being treated with antibiotics and antifungals and her condition is being monitored for signs of sepsis.
