The Success Of Tiger Beer
For many years, beer has become the world s most generally devoured alcoholic drink. With the fast
growing societies, thousands of beers are manufactured, sold and consumed every single day. Just like
any other drinks, there are many different types of beer such as Heineken, Carlsberg, Tiger Beer,
Guinness, Budweiser, Corona and Becks. There are many more brands of beer but these are a few
brands that are well known around the globe. Among the brand of beers that were mentioned above,
Tiger Beer, owned by Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) has managed to work its way up to become an
international success. This iconic beer that was originated from Singapore has won more than 40
worldwide honours and grants throughout the years (APB, n.a.). It ... Show more content on

Throughout the years, Tiger beer has launched a number of successful campaigns. The recent
campaign that was launched was the Tiger Uncage . On the official tiger beer page, it stated that
uncage is about having the courage to follow your dreams and pursue your passion (TigerBeer n.a.).
The campaign was launched in 25 countries last year and the first launch started on May 1, 2014. The
objective of this campaign is to rudder Tiger beer s worldwide launch of its brand repositioning which
include new logo and packaging. Apart from that, this campaign also encourages people to realize
their potential and inspire them to follow their dreams. During the launch itself, more than a 100
guests including the media attended the major event. Three short films showcasing real life stories of
young Asians personalities including Singapore s very own Anthony Chen were shown to the guests
(R.D. Monchy, n.a.). Curated door gifts were given to the 100s of guests and the gifts were part of a
complement so that they can broaden their Uncage experience beyond the event itself (R.D. Mochy,
n.a.). This campaign was a success for Tiger Beer. For the launching of the campaign, Tiger Beer used
a few advertising tools to promote its event. There were a few advertisements that circulated the
media. Tiger basically used both traditional and new media for this campaign. The short films that
were used during the event can be found on new media such as YouTube and also traditional media
such as the televisions. The film consist of a few inspiring Asians such as Joey Pang, Anthony Chen
and Charlie Ruedpokanon sharing their inspiring stories and how they break free from conformity to
pursue their dreams. The stories that were used for advertising were quite relevant to the Uncage
campaign. On the local Today newspaper, picture of the Tiger Beer Uncage were printed on the front

The Core Elements Of The Registered Pension Plan
Individual Pension Plan Background As a baseline to understanding an IPP, it is critical to establish
some of the core elements of the registered pension plan (RPP) regime. AN IPP is essentially a defined
benefit pension plan (DB) setup by an employer with a limited number of designated beneficiaries
(e.g. directors and officers) or possibly, a single beneficiary (owner manager). It requires registration
with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with ongoing maintenance and compliance in accordance with
the Act. Failure to comply with rules set forth in the ITA could result in revocation or deregistration,
which consequently could lead to unfavorable tax consequences. The plan must be sponsored and
funded by a corporation with funding possibly also coming from employees. In general, DB plans
offer employees specific future pension benefits upon retirement, typically calculated on the basis of a
percentage of their employment income over their service period. IPP subscribers have additional
confidence in knowing that their post employment benefits will be fixed in value each year which
eliminates the uncertainty and concerns raised with retirement investments premised on the
performance of capital markets. Pension plans are in the purview of either provincial or federal
legislation; however, the scope of this discussion is confined to the Act. Perhaps the most attractive
feature of an IPP is that for the right individual(s), it is a more effective tax planning vehicle by

Homecoming Garter Research Paper
An event that began around the 1910s now has evolved into a modern masterpiece. Many high school
and college students have been seen sporting lovely or ridiculous creations made of ribbon. From
being made out of real mum flowers, to silk flowers, to modern fake flowers mums and garters have
remained a homecoming tradition. Many go to flower or specialty shops to have their mums and
garters made, but now it has grown into a self made project. This essay will show through detail how
to make the perfect homecoming garter. To make the perfect homecoming garter, one must purchase
the proper supplies, create a beautiful ribbon base, and design the flower and backing. Before one

and make them easily moveable, then staple once in the correct spot. Assume all pieces are eighteen
inches long and staple after every two steps unless otherwise stated. Start by using the large neutral
colored ribbon. Cut it into three equal strips, and equally position them on a mum backing using tape.
Next add a strip of patterned ribbon between each of the three neutral pieces. Once in position, remove
tape carefully as not to accidentally disturb the order of the pieces and staple to secure. After that, add
yet another differently patterned ribbon in the center of each of the large neutral stripes, if the
patterned ribbons are different widths this should be the skinniest. Then add the final patterned ribbon
cut into equal strips, position them between the other two patterned ribbons; they should be slightly
overlapping. Continuing with the ribbon adding, one must then add two equally cut color ribbons
along the outer edges of the middle large neutral colored ribbon. This ribbon is meant to create
contrast amongst the patterns. After stapling all the ribbons, one must add the yards of small neutral

Insanity In Hamlet And Ophelia
William Shakespeare is a very well known writer. He wrote the plays Hamlet and Macbeth, which are
two of his most famous. There are many characters and ideas in both plays that you can compare and
contrast. A main concept in both plays is the idea of insanity. Insanity is when madness takes over the
brain and becomes uncontrollable (Howes, 2009). Two characters that display insanity are Lady
Macbeth and Ophelia. In both of Shakespeare plays, Macbeth and Hamlet insanity is displayed in
different ways between the characters Lady Macbeth and Ophelia, and affects them with what
provokes them, their strength, and their outcome.
Insanity originates from different experiences. The mental illness can be triggered from various
reasons like stress,

St Augustine Confessions Analysis
In his Confessions, St. Augustine presented his life from his adolescence through his adulthood and
conversion to Christianity. One of the most prominent themes throughout his narrative was the
reaction of weeping in a situation of separation. Whether it was Monica grieving when her son left for
Rome or Augustine lamenting the distance between himself and God, these scenes of weeping proved
incredibly crucial to the presentation of his life story, acting as frames for specific points in his life.
Through his placement and description of four specific scenes of weeping, Augustine created a pattern
of mirrored events that marked the distinction between his life prior to and after his conversion. One
of the first pressing occasions of a separation was the instance of Monica weeping when she
discovered that Augustine had left Christianity behind to be a Manichee. He described that she wept
for [him] before [God] more than mothers weep when lamenting their dead children, as she was
overwhelmed with sorrow that her son was separating himself from God (Conf. 3.19). Even though
Augustine himself could not see that he was straying from salvation, Monica perceived the death
which held [him] and turned to God for guidance (Conf. 3.19). Through her prayers, she was granted a
dream from God in which a man asked her why she was downcast and daily in flood of tears (Conf.
3.19). She replied that she mourned Augustine s separation from God, to which the man told her to

The Importance Of Art Therapy
Art therapy involves using art to facilitate discussion with an art psychotherapist or therapist, using art
materials that can help express thoughts and feelings. It also can provide another way of
communicating when it is hard to talk. There is no need to be good at art; the aim is not to improve
your skills. In art therapy, you will have time to talk and think about your difficulties with the art
psychotherapist or therapist, and it may help you to understand yourself better, gain insight and for
change to occur. Art therapy is the use of the visual arts and the creative process within a therapeutic
relationship to support and maintain the psychological and physical health of individuals of all ages. It
is based on research that art making is a health enhancing practice that positively impacts the quality
of life. Art therapists are credited professionals who use specific art based approaches with children,
adults, groups and families. To support and maintain a quality of life. The foundation of art therapy is
most closely linked to psychoanalysis, that images come from the unconscious. Art therapy is a
clinical treatment which aims to help clients explore personal issues within a safe and supportive
framework, to resolve emotional, psychological and relationship difficulties. The use of art materials
is a form of non verbal communication enabling people to express and explore feelings which are very
difficult and in some cases impossible to convey through verbal language.

Legal Rights Of Ancient Egyptian Women
Although ancient Egyptian women were not completely equal to the men in their society, they still had
more rights than women in other ancient societies. Unlike women in other ancient societies, Egyptian
women enjoyed most of the same legal and economic rights that Egyptian men did. In ancient Egypt
the disparities between people s legal rights were based on differences in social class and not on
gender.
At least in theory ancient Egyptian women and men were able to achieve the same economic and legal
rights. Fascinatingly enough, when the Greeks conquered Egypt in 332 B.C.E., Egyptian women were
allowed more rights than Greek women, despite the fact that the Egyptians were forced to live under
the Greeks. Ancient Egyptian women were allowed a variety of rights and privileges. For example
they could own, manage, and sell private property, resolve legal settlements, and much more.
The private property of ancient Egyptian women consisted of more than just land. Private property
included slaves, portable goods, servants, livestock, and money as well. Just as legally as they could
own, sell, and manage slaves, they could free them too. Women in Egypt had the right to resolve or

Egyptian women had claims to up to one third of all the community property in her marriage. This

Egyptian women and men had completely equal rights. Another example that displays androcentrism
is that although an Egyptian women could bequeath property to whomever she wished, this could be
overruled by her husband s will if it says

Dominican Baseball Player Research Paper
Baseball is generally known as America s favorite pastime. A sport that has been around since the 18th
century with a never ending to the sport. The sport of baseball is not only played in the United State,
but also in many other countries as well. These countries have such a rich cultural fanbase, it is hardly
possible to say that Baseball is only an American sport. The Dominican Republic has supplied a great
amount of players into the Major League Baseball (Jessop 1). In this paper I present and defend my
thesis that Dominican baseball players do not have the same opportunities as a player born in the
United States. For decades the MLB has used the Dominican Republic as a pipeline for baseball talent
(NSB,6). Over a quarter of baseball players in the major leagues are of ... Show more content on

Despite foreign players being equally skilled or even possibly being better skilled, their starting
salaries are not equal to the salaries of their United States born counterparts. Americans trying to make
it into the major leagues for the most part have already received an associate degree or higher because
of the stricter regulations they enforce on the players. Although not a full education, those players who
at least completed high school and a few years of college have a backup plan in case baseball falls
through, something that not every Dominican can say. From this perspective the American baseball
player has multiple options to branch off if the baseball career does not succeed as planned, while the
Dominican has dedicated his entire life to the sport. Foreign players give up almost everything in their
adolescence years due to the fact that they see baseball as the gateway to escaping the never ending
cycle of poverty in their homeland. While American players are almost reassured a successful path
whether that be through the sport of baseball, or through an education. The adversities that Dominican
players encounter when coming overseas to play on American soil is mentally

Similarities Between Mount Vesuvius And St. Helens
Have you ever been near a volcano when it erupted? Most of us haven t, but if you re unlucky enough,
you just might have. Many people think it would be cool, but it is indeed not. In fact, the people of
Pompeii were very unlucky when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. Nearly two thousand people
died. Although that eruption was very similar to the 1980 eruption of Saint Helens, it was also very
different.
The two Stratovolcanoes, Mt. Vesuvius and St. Helens, have many traits in common. For example,
when these two volcanoes erupted, they both made a huge ash cloud. Also, they both began with
harmonic tremors, which are small earthquakes, that includes the venting of gases from the magma of
volcanoes. Also, they spewed tons of ash and pumice.

The Dangers Of Hitler And The Power Of Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler born April 20, 1889, was just a mere citizen until Germany faced world humiliation post
World War I. After World War I Germans faced harsh economic depression during which in turn
caused people to lose trust in their government. Hitler being an intelligent man took advantage of this
opportunity to promote himself and gain power. The Treaty of Versailles, established after WWI, led
Germany to their lowest in world standings. The treaty humiliated Germany as they lost their land,
respect, military, and say in world affairs. Germany is at an all time low needed a savior and that is
where in January of 1993 Hitler stepped in. Hitler used this depression and used fear as a tool to
persuade Germans that he could boost the economy and bring Germany back to power. He promised
the Germans hope, glory, and supreme power. Around the world, national economies were tanking, the
U.S., Germany, England, France, and Italy. People were becoming unemployed and were losing their
homes to bank foreclosures as the cost of living was on a high rise at the time. Everyone wanted
someone to blame for their problems and Hitler gave them just that. Hitler knew about the weaknesses
in Germany at the time and he gave the Germans an innocent race to blame to gain power. He
convinced industrialist that he alone could increase consumerism and in turn bring more production.
With the increase in production Germany s pride would begin to restore both in world standings and at
home. Even

Some countries are more gay friendly than others, while yet some are just beginning the transition to
acceptance of LGBT people. As the debate over legal recognition of gay and lesbian couples
heightens, individual states in the U.S. are considering different types of protection for gay and lesbian
couples under the law. They are civil unions, domestic partnerships and same sex marriage. In most
cases, civil unions and domestic partnership laws only offer a fraction of the 1,049 benefits the United
States government provides for couples in a heterosexual marriage. Currently in the U.S., only
Connecticut and Vermont allow same sex civil unions. So in order for same sex couples to adopt or
becoming a parent to another child they must know the facts and the rights that come with them. They
shouldn t listen to other people telling them that they can t do anything anymore because they are gay
or lesbian.
Marriage of same sex couples is one of the most controversial aspects in our community. Many people
look at it as something that goes against some religious beliefs and/or political views. Others, those
who are pro GLBT rights, explain that everybody should be treated equally, and that sex orientation,
race, or social class should not be taken into consideration when decisions concerning human rights
are being studied. The issue of gay marriage is one of the controversies that leave our society
searching for the answers.

The Niagara Escarpment Ava Is An Ideal Area For Grape Growing
Introduction
The Niagara Escarpment AVA is a relatively new viticulture designated area. The area received the
designation in 2005 and is now one of the fastest growing wine regions in New York State. This AVA
is comprised of a portion of the Niagara Escarpment landform that runs from New York State through
Canada into Wisconsin. (Fig. A) The escarpment has formed over time due to erosion of the rock
layers. The top rock layer, dolomitic limestone, is more weather resistant causing it to erode slower
and creating the escarpment landform. Fig. A
The escarpment is an ideal area for grape growing, as well as other fruits, due to the microclimate
created by the combination of the escarpment and Lake Ontario. Those growing areas that are near the
lake experience weather that is slightly moderated by the presence of the lake waters. Those that are
contained on the escarpment receive a moderated weather pattern due to the escarpments form. The
warm air trapped by the escarpment helps to provide those vineyards with a longer growing season
and protection from harsh winter freezing and spring or fall frost.
The Niagara Wine Trail is currently in a period of growth. In the last few months several new wineries
have been added to the trail and the trail has begun its expansion towards Rochester. Along with this
growth the trail has continued to increase its number of visitors. Along with local customers the trail
also sees many visitors from Canada, Rochester, Finger Lakes area,

Ethics And The Ethics Of Ethics
Ethics Nurse s
Before all parties involved can begin a working relationship, each individual should discuss and obtain
a written description of the duties expected and the code of ethics that should be respected and
followed; by beginning with a clear understanding of ethical values. Ethics: the study of right and
wrong and how to tell the difference between them. Since ethics also means people s beliefs about
right and wrong behavior, ethics can be defined as the study of ethics. Ethics is not, however, the study
of what people do or how people act. This is descriptive, not normative. Ethics is normative about
what ought to be, not what is so; the study of what people say or think one ought to do. Ethics is an
enquiry into the truth, not into what people believe is true ( NATURE OF ETHICS, ).
To continue, the floor is open to discuss ethical codes for nurses provision 2, the nurse primary

Summary Of The Impossibly Great Commission
Better you than me. The words have stuck to the front of my mind for weeks. After preaching a
message at a friend s church in my hometown, these were the only words one particular stranger said
to me. That is, these are the only words he said to me before giving me a pat on the back and handing
me a crumbled up ball of cash (both of these gestures were received completely unsolicited). The
sermon I delivered that morning was titled The Impossibly Great Commission . Looking back now, I
could have probably worded that better, but the message was clear, we are purpose for a reason and we
cannot achieve that purpose in our own strength. More simply put, We need Jesus. Now fast forward
one or two months to the present when I set foot for the first time on foreign soil. Here multiple
strangers with hugs and celebration greeted me. Their first words to me? My home is your home,
follow me. I am now serving as a missionary to Central America. The people here are rich with love
and humility. Every person I have met has been exceedingly kind to me. Some children run to me to
tell me their favorite Bible verses in English, the teens invite me to play sports with them, and
everyone insists on having me over for a delicious meal. Christ gave us the commission to go and
make disciples of all nations, so for now this is where He has me. Hopefully the short account I gave
of the people here in this culture made clear that I am very thankful for the opportunity to

Beerohm Response
2. The distinction Beerbohm makes between going out for a walk and being taken out for a walk is
that going out for a walk requires your own motivation and pride. He thinks that going out for a walk
escorts your brain to shutdown mode, as shown when he says, My objection to it is that it stops the
brain...This boast is not confirmed by my memory of anybody who on a Sunday morning has forced
me to partake of his adventure. He also thinks that going out for a walk means that it is your body s
way of saying you are, in a sense, superior, as shown when he says, The body is going out because the
mere fact of its doing so is a sure indication of nobility, probity, and rugged grandeur of character.

This excuse does not work because 1) it is not believed, 2) it forces you to improvise some sort of
action, whether it be writing a letter or cleaning your house, and 3) it won t operate on Sunday

sake may be as highly laudable and exemplary a thing as it is held to be by those who practise it. My
objection to it is that it stops the brain. This is his thesis because he is putting forward a
statement/theory which must be proved. 5. This essay is an informal essay. This is because through out
this essay, the author writes in first person, as shown when he says, It is a fact that not once in all my
life have I gone out for a walk. The use of I and my prove that he is writing in first person. This is also
an informal essay because the author relates certain points to his own life, which is shown when he
says, We pass an inn. He reads vapidly aloud to me: `The King s Arms. Licensed to sell Ales and
Spirits. Here, the author is relating to his experience walking while out for a walk with an
acquaintance. This essay is informal because of the tone. The tone of this essay is very loose and
comedic. This essay is informal because the structure is very loose, and rather unorganized. The
author jumps from personal experiences to personal thoughts, and there is no first, second, third type
of structure. Finally, this essay is an informal essay because the purpose is to reflect

The Language in The Red Room by H G Wells and The...
The Language in The Red Room by H G Wells and The Signalman by Charles Dickens Throughout,
The Signalman has suspense and the tension is gripping, as the author, Dickens, has used exceedingly
good description in the language and the setting is just perfect. Dickens had an advantage when
writing this story as there were similarities between himself and some of the characters; since he had
been involved in a train accident himself. He creates mystery in this book very well. He uses repetition
in the book, as the phrase, Halloa! Below there! was repeated at least three times in the story. The
language used in this story sets the setting perfectly, here is an example, a dripping wet wall of ...

Another well written extract is this, One man with a withered arm, the woman swaying from side to

he constantly coughed and spluttered. This sets the scene that the place is weird and unique as they are

many ways to actually change the Earth s orbit both plausible and unrealistic, but one must completely
understand the physics behind each option so that no mistakes are made and we fully avoid suffering
any consequences. First background information on our planet needed, Earth has been around for 4.54
billion years, it has a mass of 5.98x10^24 kg, a diameter of 12756 km, a velocity of about 67000 mph,
and is about 149,597,890 km away from the Sun. To most this doesn t sound like a simple task, not
knowing the trick is using Earth s orbit. An orbit is the gravitationally curved path of an object around
a point in space, for example the path of a planet around the center of a star system, like in our Solar
System (Encyclopedia). In order to change the orbit of a planet, one must consider the difference
forces that can influence the planet s orbit: direct contact, gravitational assistance, solar sails, and the
possible but not exactly plausible forces.
The thought of an object coming on a collision with Earth is quite frightening, but surprisingly it could
lead to our salvation. If an object of equal mass

Switzerland Research Paper
Switzerland is best known for its chocolate, cheese and its Alps. However, its also known for its
amazing and universal healthcare. So what makes Switzerland s healthcare so efficient? This research
paper will examine certain factors that contribute to the overall successes of the Switzerland
healthcare system such as out of pocket expenses, health statistics, the organization of healthcare, the
distribution of responsibility between the federal and local governments and the income tax structure.
By analyzing these elements, the strengths can be appreciated and new ideas can be formed to fix the
current flaws present in the system. No healthcare system in the world is perfect; however, it can be

Therefore, the government plays a significant role in the socialized healthcare system. The system s
responsibilities are divided between federal, cantonal and municipal government levels. The 26
cantons and 6 half cantons, which are like states, are responsible for the healthcare present in each
canton. It licenses providers, arranges and manages hospital services and subsidized institutions and
individual premiums. The federal government regulates the overall payments and finances, ensures the
safety and quality of medical equipment and pharmaceutical drugs, supervise public health initiatives
and supports medical research and training. The municipalities are responsible for nursing homes and
social support for susceptible groups (Commonwealth Fund). Although the entire population, which
was 8.42 million as of January 1st 2017, is covered, all citizens have to pay some out of pocket
expenses for healthcare treatments and provisions. Patients have to pay 10% of the total medical bill.
According to World Bank, 26.8% was the out of pocket health expenditure (% of total expenditure on
health) as of 2014 (World Bank). No free treatment exists and the fees are very high. All patients who
are citizens must an excess fee that exists between 184 EUR (219.47 USD) to 1,350 EUR (1610.21

Relationship Between Depression And A Shadow
He once told me that depression felt like a shadow. Everywhere he went, it was right there with him.
The difference between depression and a shadow is that when the sun sinks below the horizon and the
stars begin to appear, the shadow loses its fuel and leaves until dawn. With depression, night only
made the shadow stronger. He described depression as a broken feeling; he had cracks within himself
where sadness always seemed to settle. He had told me when I first met him that I would never
understand the things that he was feeling.
At the time, our circumstances had us deemed an unconventional couple . He was a few years older
than me, a college boy, and I was just a teenager, working through high school and the many problems

He had five tattoos in total. My favourite was the bare tree that was sprawled across the entire side of
his abdomen. I also had a fascination with the stain on his right collarbone. On top of those, he had
one located on each arm and one just below his neck on his back. I loved his tattoos. I loved his scars.
Its sad to think that in some circumstances happiness can be neither pursued or compromised by
oneself. Its sad that the most wonderful people get stuck with the shittiest of circumstances. I knew
that everyday was a struggle, and I knew that everyday he pushed harder and harder to free himself of
the shackles of sadness. The pills that he took were not his only efforts to overcome this. He had
weights on his shoulder that he removed including a girlfriend of two years that he loved but was not
in love with, and a job that did not challenge him. He had told me that being with him made him calm,
it made him momentarily forget the struggles.
Being with him made me forget my struggles too. Every moment spent with him was an adventure
that I don t think I ll never recover from. He gave me that sort of feeling that you get when you re
swinging and you suddenly have pushed yourself so high that you think you re flying. When your

on tight. He worked so hard to keep me happy and made sure that I always felt safe. I have a fear of

Essay On Earthquake
The data from nine earthquakes happened in winter and summer time, with magnitudes ranging from
M 3.0 to M5.7, was collected at a sampling rate 200 Hz and preprocessed for the further analysis [4].
Then, dynamic properties of the structure were obtained using modal property identification toolbox
(MPIT 2.0) developed at the University of Auckland [13]. The modes were determined from the
following system identification algorithms: Frequency domain methods: the peak picking (PP), the
frequency domain decomposition (FDD), the enhanced frequency domain decomposition (EFDD)
Time domain method: stochastic subspace identification (SSI) method [14] identifying the stable poles

Then, the most plausible modes was chosen by comparison of MAC values of each date for each SI
algorithm. Since fundamental mode of the bridges always excited by the translational ground motions
during earthquakes, transverse components of mode shapes only were described in this research to
estimate the input of different bridge components on the bridge dynamic response. The frequency
values obtained by each method, except of SSI for summer dataset, at each season and their mean and
coefficient of correlation are shown in Table 3.1 and Table 3.2. From this figure, the values of
fundamental transverse frequency identified by each method are highly correlated for all methods, the
mean coefficient of variation was no more than 0.02. In addition, no relationship between the
transverse frequency and the depth of frozen soil at specific dates was observed. A high correlation
between mode shapes, with MAC value 0.95 or higher, was observed for two frequency domain
methods only, FDD and EFDD. Therefore, the average values of natural transverse frequency
calculated from the values identified by each method, 7.69 Hz and 2.85 Hz, and mode shapes obtained
by FDD technique (Figure 3.1) were chosen as a baseline experimental values for the further
calibration of the numerical models developed for winter and summer respectively. The bridge
transverse response is mainly symmetrical; the possible

Narrative Essay About Parasailing
Parasailing
Have you ever gone parasailing? Well, I have it was honestly the scariest most thrilling thing I have
ever done. I got onto the boat to get to the bigger bout and I thought a shark was going to attack me, or
I was going to drown. My heart was beating at least 200 beats per second.
Too start off this great story, I got up in the morning of a sunny and bright day at the beach. I was at
my Aunt Lorraine s and she was like Shadee, do you want to do something crazy.
So, I said yes, of course, I would love to! Before we went to find something too do we went got
breakfast, and picked up my grandmother. Meanwhile sitting at the beach, we saw this yellow banana
looking rafts going a crossed the ocean. I asked, What the heck is that.
They replied, I have no idea. As my Grammy Kim got up, we all got up.
My Aunt rainy asked, Where are you going.
Kim said, To see where these boats are taking them. While we walked we found out the yellow raft is
called a banana boat. Which was extremely ironic. We laugh for at least ten minutes. It was so funny.
The banana boat was taking people to a bigger boat called the Caption.
I said, Can we go parasailing or just ride the Banana boat?
As a man started walking up to us he said, Hi, my name is Seth I work for the banana boat and
parasailing company Are you guy interested in riding any of these exciting ocean thrillers? Seth said.
Yes, I would love to. Do you two want to? Asked my Aunt Lorraine.

Interpersonal Conflict In Goblin Market By Christina Rossetti
Often in narrative literature main characters develop over the course of the story line through the
conflicts that they encounter. In the poem, Goblin Market , the author Christina Rossetti, depicts a
story of two sisters with completely opposite morals and opinions. The main characters, Lizzie and
Laura, each sit on opposite sides of what they believe to be socially correct and are different in every
way. Throughout the poem, some characters are forced to adapt and act in ways out of their comfort
zone to provide for the ones which they love. In order to save the life of her sister Lizzie is forced to
take action and spread her wings, thus developing as a character. Through her relationship with Laura,
the internal conflict regarding her morals and the interpersonal conflict with the goblins, Lizzie
evolves from a timid and orderly character, into a heroic and outgoing character. Upon the
commencement of the poem, Rossetti makes it crystal clear to the reader that Lizzie is timid to stretch
beyond her comfort zone and is strict to follow the social standard and what is morally right. Out of
the two girls, Lizzie is the one whom is set in her ways and will not go against what is socially
acceptable. Laura being the opposite of Lizzie becomes curious when she hears the goblins enticing
cries. Lizzie seems to be the voice of reason for Laura, Oh, cried Lizzie, Laura, Laura,
You should not peep at goblin men.
Lizzie cover d up her eyes,
Cover d close lest they should look;
In this quote Lizzie is shown advising Laura that she literally should not look at the goblin men and in
a more figurative sense she is warning Laura that she should not fall for the tricks of the goblins.
Lizzie then follows this warning with covering her own eyes as if this will help to protect her from the
goblins. This quote is a strong demonstration of how timid Lizzie was made out to be at the beginning
of the poem. The character of Lizzie is also made out to be quite orderly as she seems to be keen on
following what is socially correct. In the poem, it is implied that interacting with the goblins is against
what is socially correct and could be interpreted as a sin or something that is frowned upon in today s
day. As

Indonesia Needs Sex Education in Order to Combat Unwanted...
A. Reproductive health services have and currently do struggle against obstacles including religious
beliefs, governmental policies, educational shortcomings, and governmental financial circumstances.
With the increase in reproductive health medicine and technology, an increase for the global standard
of living, and women s rights movements worldwide, global access to reproductive health services is
becoming more and more of a priority. Topics such as abortion and form of contraception are highly
debated. Indonesia is the world s most populous Muslim majority nation, with almost 86.1% of
Indonesians declared Muslim according to the 2000 census. 8.7% of the population is Christian, 3%

This will help prevent infant fatalities, infant malnourishment, and maternal fatality during birth.
C. Indonesia s proposition to achieve these goals and to provide global access to reproductive health
services is quite simple. The committee should make a resolution which requires governments to
create and fund a board which is given the task to provide the citizens of the country (ranging from
youths to young adults to adults to the elderly) with adequate education in relation to sexual
intercourse and the consequences of intercourse and all other sex related issues. The board would also
provide various contraceptives for either free (funds permitting) or as discounted as possible. The
board would have to provide various contraceptives in order to meet the standards of the individual
receiving the contraception s religious beliefs. This would help significantly reduce sexual related
problems seen in today s world, such as abortion, STDs, and unwanted pregnancy.
Topic #2
A. It is easy for large countries with powerful governments to abuse their rights to eminent domain
when given the task of hosting a mega event such as the Olympic Games or FIFA World Cup. In the
past countries have abused this right and found ways around the current international laws that protect
the property rights of the people of the nation. The countries have not provided equal compensation

Christendom Sects
Although today one might recognize Christendom as having three main sects, this is not entirely true.
Within each mainstream denomination, there are countless subsects, each with their own distinctive
beliefs and practices. If one attempted to unite the all the groups, they would find it incredibly
difficult. Originally, Christendom was made of of one mainstream sect, Roman Catholicism, and other
sects united under its main ideas. In 1054, relations between the East and the West Church rapidly
deteriorated. Eventually, the Eastern Church would split from Roman Catholicism to form a new sect
of Christianity, Eastern Orthodoxy. Later, another sect, Protestantism, would emerge after Martin
Luther nailed a copy of his 95 Theses to the door of the Wittenberg Castle church on October 31,
1517. There were several key differences between Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and
Protestantism. Even after many other denominations of Christendom had given up allegiance to the
pope, the Roman Catholic population stayed faithful. In ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One example of an obstacle each group would face would be their view on the sacraments, or a the
religious ceremonies that are regarded as a sign spiritual divine grace. Both the Roman Catholics and
Eastern Orthodox believed in all seven sacraments (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation, Reconciliation,
Anointing of the sick, Marriage, Holy orders) and thought that in order to connect with god, you
needed to be part of a religious group. Conversely, the Protestants only believed in Baptism and
Eucharist and thought that each individual could connect with god in their own unique ways, without
being part of a specific religion. Because each denomination believes that their opinion on certain
traditions or interpretation of the bible is correct, no one would be willing to

Value Analysis Of Nestle
. We can see that the value for this ratio in Nestlé is roughly 0,41. In order to avoid liquidity problems,
the ratio s value must be closed to 1, but we can see that the value for this ratio in Nestlé is roughly
0,41. Since it is quite lower, it means that Nestlé has risk of bankruptcy, due to the fact that, with the
resources owned in short term, the company cannot pay back its short term liabilities. This could be
related to the fact that Nestlé has a very high bargaining power that could useful for them in order to
exercise their power on suppliers to negotiate their payment commitments. SOLVENCY RATIO AND
LIQUIDITY RATIO By means of solvency ratio, short term assets are compared with short term
liabilities and it shows the liquidity situation of the company s cash. It is also known as working
capital ratio or solvency ratio at short term.
Nestlé has admitted that their negative working capital is not a desirable situation and they must work
on this aspect. But is this situation a real risk? Comparing the collection period and the credit period of

This is mainly due to a remarkable margin ratio, which is considerably higher than the others. In
contrast, the turnover is slightly lower but similar to the mean, and the leverage ratio is also inferior in
comparison to other companies which mean that Nestlé manages to finance its assets with a smaller
proportion of debt than other firms in the same industry. On 2011, the ROE of Nestlé was a little
higher than the average of the other companies, but lower than 2012 by approximately 3 percentage
points. Looking at the ratios we can find easily the explanation: every one of them is lower than the
ones from 2012. If we compare the ratios to the average of other companies, the margin ratio is also
higher, but the turnover and the leverage

How The Lowenstein Family Affected The Nazi Regime
The Lowenstein family is only one example of the thousands of Jewish family s affected during the
Nazi Regime. But through their family s story one is able to understand some of the conditions people
were under during that time period. However, the family was no fully Jewish. Max Lowenstein was
Jewish but Marie Steinberg was from Estonia, as a result their son Henry was half Jewish but their
daughter who was from not born from Marie s marriage with Max was not Jewish. Nevertheless, the
family still received tremendous persecution. His father was a doctor and his mother an artist. But
both were very artistic, as Henry Lowenstein mentions in the video. He remembers growing up in an
apartment where there were always performers in their home; the place was decorated with art, his
parents always went to the theater, and his mother would take him to different museums in Berlin.
They were also a family who practiced both Christian and Jewish traditions. His sister, who wasn t

This was the intended misfortune for the Lowenstein family. The Notice of Eviction discussed earlier
demonstrates this. The notice was an intended cover in order to gather up all Jews and take them to the

  • 3. The Core Elements Of The Registered Pension Plan Individual Pension Plan Background As a baseline to understanding an IPP, it is critical to establish some of the core elements of the registered pension plan (RPP) regime. AN IPP is essentially a defined benefit pension plan (DB) setup by an employer with a limited number of designated beneficiaries (e.g. directors and officers) or possibly, a single beneficiary (owner manager). It requires registration with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) with ongoing maintenance and compliance in accordance with the Act. Failure to comply with rules set forth in the ITA could result in revocation or deregistration, which consequently could lead to unfavorable tax consequences. The plan must be sponsored and funded by a corporation with funding possibly also coming from employees. In general, DB plans offer employees specific future pension benefits upon retirement, typically calculated on the basis of a percentage of their employment income over their service period. IPP subscribers have additional confidence in knowing that their post employment benefits will be fixed in value each year which eliminates the uncertainty and concerns raised with retirement investments premised on the performance of capital markets. Pension plans are in the purview of either provincial or federal legislation; however, the scope of this discussion is confined to the Act. Perhaps the most attractive feature of an IPP is that for the right individual(s), it is a more effective tax planning vehicle by ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Many high school and college students have been seen sporting lovely or ridiculous creations made of ribbon. From being made out of real mum flowers, to silk flowers, to modern fake flowers mums and garters have remained a homecoming tradition. Many go to flower or specialty shops to have their mums and garters made, but now it has grown into a self made project. This essay will show through detail how to make the perfect homecoming garter. Always when designing a garter or mum start by taping the individual pieces in order to position them and make them easily moveable, then staple once in the correct spot. Assume all pieces are eighteen inches long and staple after every two steps unless otherwise stated. Start by using the large neutral colored ribbon. Cut it into three equal strips, and equally position them on a mum backing using tape. Next add a strip of patterned ribbon between each of the three neutral pieces. Once in position, remove tape carefully as not to accidentally disturb the order of the pieces and staple to secure. After that, add yet another differently patterned ribbon in the center of each of the large neutral stripes, if the patterned ribbons are different widths this should be the skinniest. Then add the final patterned ribbon cut into equal strips, position them between the other two patterned ribbons; they should be slightly overlapping. Continuing with the ribbon adding, one must then add two equally cut color ribbons along the outer edges of the middle large neutral colored ribbon. This ribbon is meant to create contrast amongst the patterns. After stapling all the ribbons, one must add the yards of small neutral ribbon cut into two equal pieces. • 6. St Augustine Confessions Analysis In his Confessions, St. Augustine presented his life from his adolescence through his adulthood and conversion to Christianity. One of the most prominent themes throughout his narrative was the reaction of weeping in a situation of separation. Whether it was Monica grieving when her son left for Rome or Augustine lamenting the distance between himself and God, these scenes of weeping proved incredibly crucial to the presentation of his life story, acting as frames for specific points in his life. Through his placement and description of four specific scenes of weeping, Augustine created a pattern of mirrored events that marked the distinction between his life prior to and after his conversion. One of the first pressing occasions of a separation was the instance of Monica weeping when she discovered that Augustine had left Christianity behind to be a Manichee. He described that she wept for [him] before [God] more than mothers weep when lamenting their dead children, as she was overwhelmed with sorrow that her son was separating himself from God (Conf. 3.19). Even though Augustine himself could not see that he was straying from salvation, Monica perceived the death which held [him] and turned to God for guidance (Conf. 3.19). Through her prayers, she was granted a dream from God in which a man asked her why she was downcast and daily in flood of tears (Conf. 3.19). She replied that she mourned Augustine s separation from God, to which the man told her to have no ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Unlike women in other ancient societies, Egyptian women enjoyed most of the same legal and economic rights that Egyptian men did. In ancient Egypt the disparities between people s legal rights were based on differences in social class and not on gender. At least in theory ancient Egyptian women and men were able to achieve the same economic and legal rights. Fascinatingly enough, when the Greeks conquered Egypt in 332 B.C.E., Egyptian women were allowed more rights than Greek women, despite the fact that the Egyptians were forced to live under the Greeks. Ancient Egyptian women were allowed a variety of rights and privileges. For example they could own, manage, and sell private property, resolve legal settlements, and much more. The private property of ancient Egyptian women consisted of more than just land. Private property included slaves, portable goods, servants, livestock, and money as well. The sport of baseball is not only played in the United State, but also in many other countries as well. These countries have such a rich cultural fanbase, it is hardly possible to say that Baseball is only an American sport. The Dominican Republic has supplied a great amount of players into the Major League Baseball (Jessop 1). In this paper I present and defend my thesis that Dominican baseball players do not have the same opportunities as a player born in the United States. Despite foreign players being equally skilled or even possibly being better skilled, their starting salaries are not equal to the salaries of their United States born counterparts. Although not a full education, those players who at least completed high school and a few years of college have a backup plan in case baseball falls through, something that not every Dominican can say. From this perspective the American baseball player has multiple options to branch off if the baseball career does not succeed as planned, while the Dominican has dedicated his entire life to the sport. Foreign players give up almost everything in their adolescence years due to the fact that they see baseball as the gateway to escaping the never ending cycle of poverty in their homeland. Many people think it would be cool, but it is indeed not. In fact, the people of Pompeii were very unlucky when Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD. Nearly two thousand people died. Although that eruption was very similar to the 1980 eruption of Saint Helens, it was also very different. The two Stratovolcanoes, Mt. Vesuvius and St. Helens, have many traits in common. For example, when these two volcanoes erupted, they both made a huge ash cloud. Also, they both began with harmonic tremors, which are small earthquakes, that includes the venting of gases from the magma of volcanoes. Also, they spewed tons of ash and pumice. ... After World War I Germans faced harsh economic depression during which in turn caused people to lose trust in their government. Hitler being an intelligent man took advantage of this opportunity to promote himself and gain power. The Treaty of Versailles, established after WWI, led Germany to their lowest in world standings. The treaty humiliated Germany as they lost their land, respect, military, and say in world affairs. Germany is at an all time low needed a savior and that is where in January of 1993 Hitler stepped in. Hitler used this depression and used fear as a tool to persuade Germans that he could boost the economy and bring Germany back to power. He promised the Germans hope, glory, and supreme power. Around the world, national economies were tanking, the U.S., Germany, England, France, and Italy. People were becoming unemployed and were losing their homes to bank foreclosures as the cost of living was on a high rise at the time. Everyone wanted someone to blame for their problems and Hitler gave them just that. Hitler knew about the weaknesses in Germany at the time and he gave the Germans an innocent race to blame to gain power. As the debate over legal recognition of gay and lesbian couples heightens, individual states in the U.S. are considering different types of protection for gay and lesbian couples under the law. They are civil unions, domestic partnerships and same sex marriage. In most cases, civil unions and domestic partnership laws only offer a fraction of the 1,049 benefits the United States government provides for couples in a heterosexual marriage. Currently in the U.S., only Connecticut and Vermont allow same sex civil unions. So in order for same sex couples to adopt or becoming a parent to another child they must know the facts and the rights that come with them. They shouldn t listen to other people telling them that they can t do anything anymore because they are gay or lesbian. Marriage of same sex couples is one of the most controversial aspects in our community. Many people look at it as something that goes against some religious beliefs and/or political views. Others, those who are pro GLBT rights, explain that everybody should be treated equally, and that sex orientation, race, or social class should not be taken into consideration when decisions concerning human rights are being studied. • 16. The Niagara Escarpment Ava Is An Ideal Area For Grape Growing Introduction The Niagara Escarpment AVA is a relatively new viticulture designated area. The area received the designation in 2005 and is now one of the fastest growing wine regions in New York State. This AVA is comprised of a portion of the Niagara Escarpment landform that runs from New York State through Canada into Wisconsin. (Fig. A) The escarpment has formed over time due to erosion of the rock layers. The top rock layer, dolomitic limestone, is more weather resistant causing it to erode slower and creating the escarpment landform. Fig. A The escarpment is an ideal area for grape growing, as well as other fruits, due to the microclimate created by the combination of the escarpment and Lake Ontario. Those growing areas that are near the lake experience weather that is slightly moderated by the presence of the lake waters. Those that are contained on the escarpment receive a moderated weather pattern due to the escarpments form. The warm air trapped by the escarpment helps to provide those vineyards with a longer growing season and protection from harsh winter freezing and spring or fall frost. The Niagara Wine Trail is currently in a period of growth. In the last few months several new wineries have been added to the trail and the trail has begun its expansion towards Rochester. Along with this growth the trail has continued to increase its number of visitors. Along with local customers the trail also sees many visitors from Canada, Rochester, Finger Lakes area, ... Ethics And The Ethics Of Ethics Ethics Nurse s Before all parties involved can begin a working relationship, each individual should discuss and obtain a written description of the duties expected and the code of ethics that should be respected and followed; by beginning with a clear understanding of ethical values. Ethics: the study of right and wrong and how to tell the difference between them. Since ethics also means people s beliefs about right and wrong behavior, ethics can be defined as the study of ethics. Ethics is not, however, the study of what people do or how people act. This is descriptive, not normative. Ethics is normative about what ought to be, not what is so; the study of what people say or think one ought to do. Ethics is an enquiry into the truth, not into what people believe is true ( NATURE OF ETHICS, ). To continue, the floor is open to discuss ethical codes for nurses provision 2, the nurse primary commitment is to the patient, whether an individual, family, group, community, or population ( Code of Ethics for Nurses, 2015). This code of ethics is part of an ethical oath agreement all nurses agree upon when starting their professional career. • 18. Summary Of The Impossibly Great Commission Better you than me. The words have stuck to the front of my mind for weeks. After preaching a message at a friend s church in my hometown, these were the only words one particular stranger said to me. That is, these are the only words he said to me before giving me a pat on the back and handing me a crumbled up ball of cash (both of these gestures were received completely unsolicited). The sermon I delivered that morning was titled The Impossibly Great Commission . Looking back now, I could have probably worded that better, but the message was clear, we are purpose for a reason and we cannot achieve that purpose in our own strength. More simply put, We need Jesus. Now fast forward one or two months to the present when I set foot for the first time on foreign soil. Here multiple strangers with hugs and celebration greeted me. Their first words to me? My home is your home, follow me. I am now serving as a missionary to Central America. The people here are rich with love and humility. Every person I have met has been exceedingly kind to me. Some children run to me to tell me their favorite Bible verses in English, the teens invite me to play sports with them, and everyone insists on having me over for a delicious meal. Christ gave us the commission to go and make disciples of all nations, so for now this is where He has me. The Language in The Red Room by H G Wells and The Signalman by Charles Dickens Throughout, The Signalman has suspense and the tension is gripping, as the author, Dickens, has used exceedingly good description in the language and the setting is just perfect. Dickens had an advantage when writing this story as there were similarities between himself and some of the characters; since he had been involved in a train accident himself. He creates mystery in this book very well. He uses repetition in the book, as the phrase, Halloa! Below there! was repeated at least three times in the story. Psysics Behind Changes in Planetary Orbit Physics behind changes in planetary orbit April 07,2014 Oh no, a small field of asteroid the size of Pluto is heading towards Earth on a direct collision course! The Earth and all of its inhabitants are now facing certain extinction. What are the Earth s inhabitants to do? Is it possible to move the planet out of the way in time? Fortunately for humanity, there are many ways to actually change the Earth s orbit both plausible and unrealistic, but one must completely understand the physics behind each option so that no mistakes are made and we fully avoid suffering any consequences. First background information on our planet needed, Earth has been around for 4.54 billion years, it has a mass of 5.98x10^24 kg, a diameter of 12756 km, a velocity of about 67000 mph, and is about 149,597,890 km away from the Sun. To most this doesn t sound like a simple task, not knowing the trick is using Earth s orbit. An orbit is the gravitationally curved path of an object around a point in space, for example the path of a planet around the center of a star system, like in our Solar System (Encyclopedia). In order to change the orbit of a planet, one must consider the difference forces that can influence the planet s orbit: direct contact, gravitational assistance, solar sails, and the possible but not exactly plausible forces. The thought of an object coming on a collision with Earth is quite frightening, but surprisingly it could lead to our salvation. If an object of equal mass ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The frequency values obtained by each method, except of SSI for summer dataset, at each season and their mean and coefficient of correlation are shown in Table 3.1 and Table 3.2. From this figure, the values of fundamental transverse frequency identified by each method are highly correlated for all methods, the mean coefficient of variation was no more than 0.02. • 29. Interpersonal Conflict In Goblin Market By Christina Rossetti Often in narrative literature main characters develop over the course of the story line through the conflicts that they encounter. In the poem, Goblin Market , the author Christina Rossetti, depicts a story of two sisters with completely opposite morals and opinions. The main characters, Lizzie and Laura, each sit on opposite sides of what they believe to be socially correct and are different in every way. Throughout the poem, some characters are forced to adapt and act in ways out of their comfort zone to provide for the ones which they love. In order to save the life of her sister Lizzie is forced to take action and spread her wings, thus developing as a character. Through her relationship with Laura, the internal conflict regarding her morals and the interpersonal conflict with the goblins, Lizzie evolves from a timid and orderly character, into a heroic and outgoing character. Upon the commencement of the poem, Rossetti makes it crystal clear to the reader that Lizzie is timid to stretch beyond her comfort zone and is strict to follow the social standard and what is morally right. Out of the two girls, Lizzie is the one whom is set in her ways and will not go against what is socially acceptable. Laura being the opposite of Lizzie becomes curious when she hears the goblins enticing cries. Lizzie seems to be the voice of reason for Laura, Oh, cried Lizzie, Laura, Laura, You should not peep at goblin men. Lizzie cover d up her eyes, Cover d close lest they should look; In this quote Lizzie is shown advising Laura that she literally should not look at the goblin men and in a more figurative sense she is warning Laura that she should not fall for the tricks of the goblins. Lizzie then follows this warning with covering her own eyes as if this will help to protect her from the goblins. This quote is a strong demonstration of how timid Lizzie was made out to be at the beginning of the poem. The character of Lizzie is also made out to be quite orderly as she seems to be keen on following what is socially correct. In the poem, it is implied that interacting with the goblins is against what is socially correct and could be interpreted as a sin or something that is frowned upon in today s day. As ...
