1609725-876300 Memorandum Date:November 1, 2009To:All Staff MembersFrom:Justin Greene, District ManagerSubject:Monthly Competitor Sales It is the first of the month, which leads to our monthly figures and how we stand next to our competitors in terms of recorded sales. As of now, AllShop has met the required estimations of sales, and also exceeded the pharmacy figure given at the beginning of October. I applaud you all for your efforts that you have put into keeping AllShop a place for the community to rely on for all their needs, while providing them with excellent customer service. However, there is a small obstacle we have to climb on the opposing side. Our produce department is suffering compared to our rival competitor and we need to aggrandize the sales to the best of our abilities by keeping the area clean, convenient, and “shoppable.” Figure 1 shows our sales in comparison to the other major retailers in our area.  Figure 1 As district manager, I will be communicating with our market manager and consider some strategies that may help with increasing some of our sales that lack. Please deliberate about what needs to be done so our AllShop store can succeed expectations. Thank you for your ongoing efforts thus far.
