Character Profiles of our Opening sequel - The Remembering

2. Bree
• BREE
• Age of character: 16
• Character’s occupation: Student at high-school
• Character’s appearance: Female, average in height, with medium-length thick dark
hair, small brown eyes and tanned skin. Wears a modern fashion (top, jeans and
boots) to relate to time era of film.
• Character’s personality: Cautious, quite susceptible to fear, nervous personality,
quiet, a good friend, would do anything to make sure her friends aren't in danger,
is emotionally damaged from her friend's death, is a good listener and always does
what her friends say. She is a closer friend to Elias than Carter.
• What is character’s role?: Character’s main role in the first two minutes is to spot
Piper in the window nearing the end of the opening sequel. Bree is an important
role in the film as she is part of the main group of friends whom are being haunted
by their dead best friend.

3. Carter
• CARTER
• Age of character: 16
• Character’s occupation: Student at high-school
• Character’s appearance: Male, average in height, with short mousey hair,
narrow face, braces on teeth and dark blue eyes. Wears a modern fashion
to relate to time era/ setting of film.
• Character’s personality: Funny character of the group, confident, likes to
be rebellious and do things against the rules, is encouraging and
persuasive, has bad ideas and can be quite spiteful at points but is the
leader of the friendship group and likes to take charge of ideas.
• What is character’s role?: Carter is one of the most significant characters
in the opening sequel as he is shot trying to drag Piper out of the river
which immediately relates him to her murder. He seems a little
disconnected from the remaining two friends and we hope to portray a
sense of a stronger connection between Carter and Piper.

4. Piper
• PIPER
• Age of character (before death): 15
• Character’s occupation (before death): Student at high-school
• Character’s appearance (before death): Female, short in height, long light-brown
hair, defined face and prominent lips. Dressed in a white cotton summer dress to
show innocence.
• Character’s appearance (after death): Female, short in height, bruise, dried blood,
flat, straight and oily hair, messed-up lipstick. Still wearing white cotton dress but a
ripped, bloody version.
• Character’s personality (before death): Loved and treasured her friends a lot, was
always positive and happy, envied Carter's confidence but always wanted to be as
rebellious like him, was quite dopey/clumsy and wished she could be clever like
Elias, had a soft spot for Bree and would protect her when Carter would try
persuade her to do bad things.
• What is character’s role?: To come back to haunt her group of best-friends as a
spirit. Piper is a plot device and she brings the storyline together as she is the main
character.

5. Elias
• ELIAS
• Age of character: 17
• Character’s occupation: Student at high school
• Character’s appearance: Male, tall in height, short light hair, defined jaw and
cheekbones, large eyes. Wears modern fashion of a top and jeans to show time era
of film.
• Character’s personality: Because he is the oldest one in the group, he is the wise
one, he always questions Carter's ideas and wants to do what is best for people, is
very clever in school and could be seen as quite 'nerdy'. However, Elias is a positive
character and it always trying to put a smile on everyone's face and keep his
friends happy. He can sometimes get on Carter's nerves because he tries to go
against his ideas.
• What is character’s role?: Elias’ role in the opening sequel is to show his
involvement in his best-friends death. Even though he is innocent, he will be
included in the flashback shot to show he was there when she died. This makes
him significant to the opening sequel when Piper returns as a spirit.
