- 2. IN OUR FILM WE ARE GOING TO HAVE THREE CHARACTERS, OUR WIFE SAM, OUR MOM FIGURE CHRISTINE AND SAM'S HUSBAND DARREN.
- 3. CHARACTERS PERSONALITY/ CHARACTERISTICS AND BACKSTORY: Sam: Our main character, late twenties, she is represented as fairly strong on the outside but she is breaking down inside- she has nobody there for her and no real family. She used to be a rebellious teen but she has learnt from her mistakes and is a completely different person to who she used to be. Sam is likely to attempt to fight back in conflict with others yet she eventually gives up as she is so weak. Darren: Sly, late twenties and loves himself. He dominates Sam in their marriage and mentally and physically abuses her. He was spoilt in his childhood and therefore see's himself as above everyone else. He embarrasses Sam often in front of others and threatens her daily (makes her feel unworthy.) Christine: Late fifty's, she only cares about herself and her looks are her priority. She has no relationship with her daughter as she is selfish and puts blame onto her daughter for her divorce. She is very

MOTIVATION OF OUR CHARACTERS: •Sam's only goal is to get away from her life troubles and start a fresh somewhere new. •Darren's only motivation is to get away with the abuse that he has been throwing towards Sam and he want's her home so that he has someone to dominate and control. •Christine will never get over the divorce from her husband that her daughter Sam apparently caused and wants nothing to do with her and want's her out of her life.

CONFLICT BETWEEN OUR CHARACTERS: •We have a conflict between Sam and her mom Christine as they haven't got on since Sam was a teen even when Sam has tried to rekindle their relationship her mom just pushes her even further away and treats her like a piece of dirt. Sam also has an ongoing conflict she has to deal with her husband Darren as he mentally and physically weakens her with his words and actions and Sam lets him walk all over her.
