2. Lesson 5: Pronoun-Verb Agreement
Subject pronouns and verbs MUST agree. A singular subject takes
and singular verb, and plural subject takes a plural verb.
She enjoys watching TV. They enjoy watching TV.
Add -s to most verbs when you use the pronouns he, she, and it.
He likes water sports.
Do not add -s to a verb in the present tense when you use the
pronouns I, we, you, and they.
We like water sports.

Use the correct present-tense form of the verb in parentheses--make sure the
subject and verb agree.

4. Lesson 6: Combining Sentences--Subject and Object Pronouns
You can combine sentences that have subject pronouns.
You can combine by replacing both singular pronouns with a plural pronoun
OR
You can keep both singular pronouns, and add and between them.
I want the job. We want the job.
OR
She wants the job. She and I want the job.
You can combine sentences with object pronouns that share the same verb.
You can replace the singular pronouns with a plural pronouns
OR
You can create a compound subject.
The job was given to her. The job was given to us.
OR
The was given to me. The job was given to her and me.

objects, or adding a plural pronoun.
