Astronomy is the branch of science investigating stars, planets, and phenomena in the universe. Telescopes are widely used astronomical instruments, while rockets equipped with fuel that can burn in space are used to launch satellites and spacecraft. Satellites orbit stars and planets, and remote sensing from satellites is applied in geology, agriculture, forestry, and disaster management. Space probes gather information and send it back to Earth, carrying cameras and sensors to communicate remotely. Reusable spacecraft like the Space Shuttle have made space travel more affordable and sustainable.
