The objective of the paper is to provide an in depth analysis of the concept of intrapreneurship and
how it is a leeway to the success of small-scale businesses in South East Nigeria. Extant literature were reviewed
and the theoretical framework is anchored on the psychological innovation entrepreneurship theory propounded
by Schumpeter in1938 in which he describes the entrepreneur as one forsaking well-trodden paths to open up
new territory and as turning dreams into reality. A structured questionnaire that gauged the structure; size,
control, organizational and communications levels of Small Scale Businesses, in relation with intrapreneurship
was developed and administered to small scale businesses. Data collected were analysed using the Pearson‟s
product moment correlation, t-test and three (3) simple regression models. Also to show that the data satisfies the
conditions for parametric analysis, the F-Statistic linearity test and Shapiro-Wilk‟s test of normality was also
conducted using the SPSS version 20.0. However, from the data analysis, it was found that small-scale business
growth is enhanced through intrapreneurship activities. Consequently it is recommended that small-scale owners
should engage people with entrepreneurship orientations.HR can play a role in mergers and acquisitions
HR is the organization’s facilitator, carrying out a wide variety of tasks that lubricate all the processes the organization carries out. It can play a supporting cast in a number of areas. M & A is one of the main activities that HR can support. HR can involve itself with the M & A process at the time of initiation. In today’s business world, organizations are constantly challenged to “do more with less.” Companies must determine how to translate employee motivation into better performance at the individual, team, and organization-wide levels. Research conducted seven years ago by Mark Royal and Tom Agnew at Hay Group revealed that workplace barriers are a major but often overlooked threat to employee engagement. The resulting frustration decreases employee engagement. The authors wrote The Enemy of Engagement to help managers address this problem. To illustrate their concepts, they employ the fictional Bernette Financial case study as a foundation to defining workplace frustration and its negative effects on organizations, as well as to describe how to identify its root causes, and discuss how to promote higher levels of employee enablement and improve company performance.
