• Lack of logical and rational
thinking.

during middle and high school.
• Switching of majors during
college – Not Allowed.
• No holistic development.
• Presence of various education
boards within the country.
• Plunge them to logical and
reasoning thinking with a drizzle
of analytical skills.

CURRENT EDUCATION DREAM EDUCATION
3. THE PERSPECTIVE
• Current education system is more of theoretical
rather than hands on practical.
• Which in turn results in requirement of additional
add-on courses to the students to get employability.
• Rural students should have access to quality
education at an affordable cost and hence there is a
need for community colleges/institutions to bring
them into main stream of higher education.
4. THE CHANGE. .
Each course should have an exclusive unit on practical
component, for example, microeconomics students should to
do a case study, which involves data
collection, collation, integration, analysis and interpretation,
Specialization of courses should commence only from
postgraduate and not in undergraduate level in order to have a
strong basic knowledge, and
Also the quality education has to be imparted through skilled
and trained teachers with adequate skills in communication
and presentation including the use of ICT tools.
5. IMPLEMENTATION
• The model was implemented in the only school in
Kancheepuram district, Tamil Nadu, India.
• Our model included 3 graduates and four volunteers
who worked in the school for a month developing soft
skills.
• Some of the skills that were taught were :
Health n sanitation
Vedic math
Working with tech
• Some traditional practices were also given importance
like basket weaving and pottery.
