High population growth exacerbates these threats by increasing demands on natural resources. Unless addressed, these human-driven threats will continue to degrade Pakistan's ecosystems and drive species extinctions.

The 8000 hectare Bimblebox Nature Refuge is threatened by a massive new coal development proposed by Waratah Coal. In late September 2011 the company released its Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for its ‘China First’ mine (otherwise known as the ‘Galilee Coal Project’). It outlines a proposal to extract 40 mega-tonnes of coal per year, which would be transported on a yet-to-be-built 468km rail line up to Abbot Point and shipped through the Great Barrier Reef on its way to China where it will be burnt for energy generation. Their ambitious and polluting plans have not yet received formal government approval.

Causes of biodiversity loss with particular reference to Ghana
The 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro defined biodiversity as “the variability among living organisms from all sources among other things, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems. It is also explained as the variety of life; the different plants, animals and micro-organisms, their genes and the ecosystem of which they are a part.
Biodiversity in Ghana has within the three main bio-geographic zones. So far about 2,974 indigenous plant species, 204 fishes, 728 birds, 225 mammals, 221 species of amphibians and reptiles have been recorded. The species of frogs, 1 lizard and 23 species of butterflies have been reported to be endemic. Animals found in Ghana been grouped as follows: mammals and primate, reptiles and amphibians, aquatic and marine, wetland birds, forest zone birds, savanna zone birds, insects and spiders.

While scientists have identified over 2 million species, many more remain unknown. Biodiversity provides intrinsic value as well as utilitarian value through goods, services, and information like oxygen, food, clean water, medicine, and aesthetics. However, biodiversity is declining at an alarming rate due to threats like habitat destruction, pollution, species introductions, climate change, and exploitation, raising concerns about its conservation.
Threats to biodiversity

The 8000 hectare Bimblebox Nature Refuge is threatened by a massive new coal development proposed by Waratah Coal. In late September 2011 the company released its Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for its ‘China First’ mine (otherwise known as the ‘Galilee Coal Project’). It outlines a proposal to extract 40 mega-tonnes of coal per year, which would be transported on a yet-to-be-built 468km rail line up to Abbot Point and shipped through the Great Barrier Reef on its way to China where it will be burnt for energy generation. Their ambitious and polluting plans have not yet received formal government approval.

Causes of biodiversity loss with particular reference to Ghana
The 1992 United Nations Earth Summit in Rio De Janeiro defined biodiversity as “the variability among living organisms from all sources among other things, terrestrial, marine and other aquatic ecosystems and the ecological complexes of which they are part; this includes diversity within species, between species and of ecosystems. It is also explained as the variety of life; the different plants, animals and micro-organisms, their genes and the ecosystem of which they are a part.
Biodiversity in Ghana has within the three main bio-geographic zones. So far about 2,974 indigenous plant species, 204 fishes, 728 birds, 225 mammals, 221 species of amphibians and reptiles have been recorded. The species of frogs, 1 lizard and 23 species of butterflies have been reported to be endemic. Animals found in Ghana been grouped as follows: mammals and primate, reptiles and amphibians, aquatic and marine, wetland birds, forest zone birds, savanna zone birds, insects and spiders.
Global Water Crisis
Global water crisis is a serious issue affecting many regions of the world. Over 1/3 of the global population lacks access to clean drinking water. Lack of access to sanitation is linked to poverty and disproportionately impacts developing countries. Rapid population growth and development are straining water resources in many places through overuse, pollution, and depletion of sources. Improving access to clean water and sanitation worldwide is critical for public health, but achieving universal access remains a challenge.

Threats To Mangroves

Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

È stata un membro attivo dei progetti Fedora e openSUSE e ha co-fondato l'Associazione LibreItalia dove è stata coinvolta in diversi eventi, migrazioni e formazione relativi a LibreOffice. In precedenza ha lavorato a migrazioni e corsi di formazione su LibreOffice per diverse amministrazioni pubbliche e privati. Da gennaio 2020 lavora in SUSE come Software Release Engineer per Uyuni e SUSE Manager e quando non segue la sua passione per i computer e per Geeko coltiva la sua curiosità per l'astronomia (da cui deriva il suo nickname deneb_alpha).

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).

Economics: - The initial impact and damaged caused by invasive species, such as zebra mussel or asian carp, can be a great detriment to all aspects of commerce and impair infrastructure. Quality of Life: Simply put, if invasive species continue to infiltrate and impact our ecosystems, the quality of nature and living in the surrounding areas will decrease.
