Our Story
We started with recognizing then solving our own need. And that was to get an
authentic and clean glass of Chai in fast growing and evolving urban work centers
across all major cities. Chai was the largest consumed beverage in these cities and
yet resigned to roadside make-shift eateries. Inside large offices, the substitute were
tea bags. Passable for non- milk based teas but quite secondary as an option for chai.
We began by setting up a simple and clean store that gave an authentic glass of Chai.
This simple setup turned out to be quite a loved phenomena and we have since then
not looked back. We cautiously continue to evolve. Always remembering that we are
all about celebrating the ritual of Chai. A simple and no-frills beverage that is
intricately connected with the collective ethos as well as individual emotions of
almost whole of India. We now recognize that this feeling transcends many more
countries especially in Asia.

We exist to honor the ritual of Chai. A beverage with a history going back to Thousands of
years. Authenticity and yet evolution is therefore key for us.
What does Chai mean to its billions of consumers? What feelings does it evoke? We have
asked these questions to ourselves earnestly and realized that foremost Chai enables
human connections. It’s a beverage that has always brought people together.
We believe in 100% natural ingredients. Our supply chain systems, our in-store training and
our store designs all embrace natural produce and its serving to customers. We realize that
our customers come to stores two or many more times a day for this simple ritual. It is key
for us to ensure that our focus on quality and health goes hand-in-hand.

to always take care of our own waste. We want to put more and more trees. We want to
make sure that the tea, ginger, lemon and other natural produces that we buy are
sustainably grown. We want to serve our customers and grow responsibly. We are not

We take pride in bringing our customers the best Chai our land has to offer. Sourced from
our exclusive estates and tea companies in Assam, Darjeeling & Nilgiri through a
meticulous process, our special tea leaves are free of artificial colours and flavors, offering
you a sip of good health each time you step into one of our stores.
We pride ourselves in being committed to pay attention to these details and are always at
work to set-up and improve associated systems

over the world for its distinctive flavor. Properly brewed Darjeeling Chai yields a thin
bodied, light-colored infusion with a floral aroma and a musky spiciness that makes it
irresitible to the Indian palate with a strong flavor, dark color, and intense aroma,
Nilgiri Chai is one of the most cherished teas around the world.

Mountain Trail Academy (MTA), is responsible for the sourcing, training, testing, and
certification of all employees at Chai Point. In the highly fragmented Chai retail space
in India, MTA aims to be the leader of knowledge in all aspects related to Chai
Through easy-to-understand and well structured and technology driven training
modules for all roles at Chai Point, MTA's ​aim is to create a strong and competent
work force for all Chai Point stores.
Partners - Chai Masters
Chai is an irreplaceable daily ritual for hundreds of millions of people in India. It is our
store partners who make that great glass of Chai and bring a very pure joy in the daily
lives of our customers.
It’s a demanding but a very fulfilling endeavour.
Chai Masters is our annual event, held on 26th of January, and on this day we select
and honour our very best of these Partners. At this event we celebrate the passion,
technique and art that our partners demonstrate day after day.

Our store managing partners are the ones who manage our show across all of our
stores. With hundreds of thousands of customers having our Chai every day, this is no
easy task. We are in absolute awe of our Store Partners and want to make sure that
they get incented well for their relentless focus on customers.
Profit-Share is the program that enables this. All our store partners get a share of
profit that the store makes.. Our Store Partners have access to all operating income
drivers at their stores and we train them regularly to decipher and act on these store
drivers.

Service-hub Design
An authentic and a great glass of Chai from every service hub is our daily focus.
We continue to evolve the design of our service hubs keeping in mind the importance
of this ritual in mind. We understand that often our customers need just a quick break
from work to recharge. Attention to Hygiene is prime.Lighting and music has to be
bright and uplifting. The service has to be happy and fast. Cashless transaction needs
to drive a vast majority of our service. We need to inspire and re-instill energy
through the design of our service hubs.
We have now expanded our presence beyond the traditional retail formats of high
traffic arterial roads and corporate hubs. We are now equally focused on modern and
revamped transportation hubs and large health care centers. Our service hub designs
at these place aim to appreciate the unique dynamic of the customer flow at these
places. Key is to always facilitate the ritual of Chai in a contemporary setting and pace.

We have always believed in customer delight and that is the genesis of our delivery
service. Our customers loved our chai and wanted it at their offices and homes. They
were done with inconsistent quality chai that were delivered in dirty flasks,
occasionally reeking of dish washing soap!
We worked with our partners and developed use &
throw heat retaining flasks made of food grade PET.
Our flask is definitely our hero and something
truly “Made in India”

CHAI @WORK is our endeavour to provide high quality freshly-brewed beverages to
corporate companies through convenient models throughout working hours. We
believe that an authentic glass of Chai/coffee is a simple yet powerful driving factor
for great work days. Team meetings or tight project schedules, day starter or a perfect
break, conferences or the usual office conversations ... work works best with Chai!
We set up a full-fledged branded mini-store at your campus. We deploy various kinds
of technology systems to measure consumption. This includes contact & contact-less
cards as well as mobile app solutions.
