  • #8 Main point is that most countries have some of these factors But SA has almost all of them - in abundance. Conditions associated with poverty/underdevelopment no doubt exacerbate and make responding to many of these factors more difficult: residential overcrowding,lack of education because had to work, absent parents/caregivers because have to work and can’t afford/don’t have reliable childcare, unemployed parents & alcohol abuse, kids selling sex to earn income What we don’t know enough about in SA: Which, among all these factors above, are the most NB - where is our problem the biggest???
