Cause And Effects Essay
Writing a cause and effect essay can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies not
only in the need for a clear understanding of the chosen topic but also in the intricacies of
weaving a coherent narrative that explores the causal relationships and their corresponding
effects.
One of the initial challenges is selecting a compelling topic that not only interests the writer but
also provides ample material for exploration. Once the topic is chosen, the task is to delve into
research to gather relevant information and establish a comprehensive understanding of the
subject matter. This phase demands time and effort to ensure that the essay is grounded in
accurate and credible information.
Crafting a thesis statement that succinctly captures the essence of the essay is another hurdle.
This statement sets the tone for the entire piece and guides the writer in maintaining a focused
and organized approach throughout the essay. Striking the right balance between specificity and
breadth can be a delicate task, requiring thoughtful consideration.
As the writing process unfolds, arranging ideas in a logical sequence poses its own set of
challenges. The cause and effect structure demands a strategic organization of information to
create a seamless flow. Ensuring that the causal relationships are effectively communicated
without overwhelming the reader can be a fine line to tread.
Moreover, maintaining a coherent connection between the causes and their corresponding effects
is crucial. The essay must avoid becoming a mere list of events and outcomes, striving instead to
provide a nuanced understanding of the interplay between various factors.
Editing and revising play a pivotal role in refining the essay. The writer must critically assess the
clarity of their arguments, the strength of their evidence, and the overall cohesiveness of the
piece. This iterative process requires a keen eye for detail and a willingness to revise and refine
until the essay achieves its full potential.
In conclusion, writing a cause and effect essay involves navigating through the complexities of
selecting a suitable topic, conducting thorough research, formulating a precise thesis, organizing
ideas coherently, and engaging in rigorous editing. While it can be a demanding task, the
satisfaction of successfully unraveling causal relationships and presenting a well-crafted essay is
undoubtedly rewarding.

Applying Change Theory Of Electronic Medical Records
Applying Change Theory to Electronic Medical Records Maryjo Marvin Dixon
Empire State College According to Hussain, Lei, Akram, Haider Ali, 2016 It is
important for organizations to make changes and update old process in this
competitive business environment . Implementing change in a department of a
company, hospital or doctor s office can be difficult. Lewin s Change Model is an
effective way to help Managers and business owners update old processes and
structures. (Hussain, Lei, Akram, Haider Ali, 2016, P 1.) There are many reasons
why change can be resisted. It is very important that the manager communicates with
the staff effectively about the change and how it will affect everyone involved. Good

statues quo or equilibrium will change. ( Kaminski, 2011, Force Field Analysis).
This theory helps managers identify if a change is needed or not Unfreezing Phase
The first step is to cause awareness or an urgency. Hold a meeting and let
employees/staff know that management is going to update equipment and switch
to electronic medical records. You can use a couple different ways to create this
urgency and dispel negativity. The first is benchmarking. According to Benson
,1995 Benchmarking is a continuous process by which an organization can
measure and compare its own processes with those of organizations that are leaders
in an area. You can use bench marking to explain how other doctor s offices have
started to use EMR and profits have doubled. Inform staff about the benefits of
using Electronic Medical Records. For example, EMR S will create space savings
and will produce less waste, it will improve diagnosis and treatment, it will also
help to reduce errors. And finally, it will help to increase productivity. Next open
the floor to questions and ask employees/staff if they have any concerns.
Management should dispel any restraining forces. Address any concerns staff may
have and be sure the staff feels like their voices were heard. But don t spend too
much time on addressing concerns because this will be seen as weakness. It is
important to keep the lines of communication open and honest, which creates a sense

Introduction Of Finolex Cables Limited
INTRODUCTION
Finolex Cables Limited (hereinafter referred to as Finolex or the Company ) started
as a retail store selling electrical cables by two brothers P.P Chhabria and K. P
Chabbria in July 1945 soon turned into a manufacturing unit of cables after
receiving a sizeable order from the Defence Department in mid 1950 s for wire
harnesses for trucks and tanks.
Starting from a small industrial unit in 1956, they at first manufactured PVC
insulated cables for the automobile industry. Finolex brand was born from Fine
Flexibles and O with an electric arc across it signifying the electrical cable business
the company was in. The company saw its own share of difficult times however with
its persistent efforts and never give up attitude, the company in 1972 turned into a
limited company.
In July 1983, Finolex embarked on a continuous process of expansion and
modernization, which enabled it to become the most diversified largest cable
manufacturer in the country.
In 1981, Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) was established. The company was
primarily established to manufacture Rigid PVC Pipes and Fittings at Pune, which
were majorly used in the agriculture sector.
The early nineties saw the Finolex Group expanding into new business domains to
manufacture Optic Fibre Cables and Copper Rods.
CURRENT STRUCTURE
There are 4 group companies in the current structure. Following is a brief on all the
companies as to what they do and what businesses they are into.

Cognitive And Perceptual Development Of Children
Developmental Motor Skills in Children
Children acquire most of their motor skills from school, which is where they spend
most of their time growing up. School settings can enhance motor development in
children through play using toys available to them, however, some school
environments can also inhibit motor performance. Children have the opportunity to
improve and learn new skills from manipulating different objects as well as can
practice intertrial variability from playing with others. In order to better understand
the concept of motor development in children, a naturalistic observation can be
performed. Depending on the environment, certain motor skills can be refined, while
others can be repressed. Haywood and Getchell (2014) suggest ... Show more content

For the preschool aged children, they walked and ran around the room with ease.
The preschoolers also walked up and down the stairs with ease, only needing to
descend the stairs with two feet for each step when preoccupied with an object in her
hand. These children also participated in manipulative fine motor skills while making
arts and crafts. Although there were no differences observed between boys and girls
during observation, KokЕЎtejn, MusГЎlek, Tufano (2017) conducted a study
comparing gender differences in fundamental motor skills at the preschool age.
Researchers found that compared to the boys, girls had greater total test scores, fine
motor skill scores and balance scores.
Physical Environment
The physical environment in the Sparrow toddler classroom was more facilitatory
than inhibitory. The environmental constraints included furniture scaling and
carpeted area to prevent injury when falling. The furniture including tables, chairs,
couches, and bookshelves were all on a smaller scale which offered affordance to the
children as they could see and reach for things that they wanted. However, inhibitory
environmental constraints includes the crowdedness of the furniture and toys in the
room which increases the likelihood that a toddler could fall. In one instance, some
chairs were stacked next to a wall and a little boy attempted to climb he almost
immediately fell and hurt his head. A case like this could hinder the development of

Essay about Women in Buddhism
Women in Buddhism The role of women in religion, especially Eastern religions, is a
strange one. Western religions are fairly straightforward about a women s place. For
example, most Western religions (excluding the Roman Catholic Church) allow
women in leadership roles within the religious community. Judaism allows women
rabbis, most Christian religions allow women ministers, and even Islam, which does
not allow women mullah, have had many influential female sufi s throughout Islamic
history. Women have had similar roles in Eastern religion. However, the big
difference in Eastern religion is in the philosophical or scriptural attitude towards
women versus the actual, everyday role of women.... Show more content on

Hinduism is so entwined in Indian culture, as I have shown, that most other cultures
have a difficult time assimilating Hinduism into their own society. Even when
Hinduism is assimilated into a culture, such as Hindu movements in the United
States, women are sure to find discrimination in not only the traditional gurus and
swamis who are teaching them, but sexist commentaries deeply ingrained in
religious texts. Buddhism suffers from the opposite extreme. The Buddha
originally banned women from monastic practice but later reversed his decision,
allowing them to practice in separate quarters. Buddhist scriptures say very little
about women, treating them as equals. In one scripture, the Visuddhi Magga, a
monk asked: Reverend Sir, have you seen a woman pass this way? And the elder
said: Was it a woman, or a man That passed this way? I cannot tell. But this I know,
a set of bones Is travelling upon this road. (Visuddhi Magga, Ch1. FROM:
Coomaraswamy.) Although this verse attempts to show the equality of women on the
spiritual path, there was, and is, still sexual stereotypes similar to that found in the
Bhagavad Gita. Once Gautama responded to one of his disciples questions about
women by saying: Women are soon to be angered, Ananda; women are full of
passion, Ananda; women are envious, Ananda; women are
The Perception Of The Human Sciences
Each of us are different in many ways and that fact cannot possible be disputed by
anyone who has any back ground in the human sciences, as it has been
scientifically proven that we all have unique finger prints, DNA, hair, looks,
behavior and facial expressions and the combination of these things make us
unique personality types so to speak. We also function from two different
perspectives and we need to understand how each one of us functions. We each like
to think that we are special (which we are) and in that portrayal system, we mostly
portray what we perceive we want people to think about us. On the other side of
the coin we have a reality in what we truly believe about ourselves and the way we
feel inwardly. Many of us become disillusioned with our true inner picture, simple
because of a misunderstanding of our personal purpose in life. The fact that we
allow this dissatisfaction to creep into our lives, we create an inner insecurity within
ourselves and we then start looking at others or alternatively we start behaving like
others, which is completely outside our true personality, thereby attempting to look
different, behave different, think different, dress different and when looking at our
big picture, become dissatisfied with our true personality, allowing society to name
us as a personality type which is definitely going to influence our level to be
successful in life. Society has made us believe that we need to conform to a standard
of behavior, which then
List Price And Agent Feedback On The Weekly Calls
As RMS has indicated many times, based on our observations and more importantly
on the review of assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to
believe on many of these assets, the condition or location of the property is the
primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list price, but ultimately a sales
price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended days on
market and increased carrying costs incurred by the trust. This is an ongoing issue
observed with Altisource and discussed on the weekly calls.
List price continues to be the biggest concern and is a frequent topic during our
weekly target assets and RMS raises these issues on an asset level basis, reviewing
activity, property condition, agent feedback and offers (or lack thereof).
RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is
high relative to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more
than 60 days and no offers, RMS and Altisource discuss the list price and agent
feedback to understand why offers have not been received. RMS targets these assets
for review every 2 weeks.
Another recent observation is a continued increase in the number of assets in pending
contracts that fall out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. RMS
continued to observe this in January 2016. We believe this relates to the process by
which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where
The Discovery Of The Atomic Bomb
Upon securing victory in Japan, whatever relief the American people felt from
winning WWII was tempered by the realization that science had just created a
weapon that could wipe nations off the face of the earth. The atomic bomb, if other
countries obtained the technology, could bring about a nuclear holocaust. This fear of
technology could have stymied scientific progress post WWII. However, going into
the Cold War, people once again put their hope in scienceand looked at scientific
progress as a measure of whether they were beating the Soviet Union. This was most
evident in the space race, as both countries invested large amounts of resources into
their space programs. Somehow, both countries had decided that scientific research
for going into space would be the frontier upon which they would fight their indirect
war.
Accordingly, it is important to realize that space had already begun to capture the
public s imagination well before the space race began. Though WWII showcased
the weaponization of science, science popularizers such as Isaac Asimov
wondered how those weapons could be repurposed into tools to help people. In his
Foundation series, the first story being published in 1942, Asimov describes
mankind thousands of years in the future as a spacefaring people that has expanded
their civilization to the far reaches of space. He saw nuclear bombs not as a weapon
for destruction, but as a source of energy for powering spaceships that would allow
humans to colonize
The Causes Of The Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party was a direct protest by colonists in Boston against the Tea Tax
that had been imposed by the British government. Boston patriots, dressed as
Mohawk Indians, raided three British ships in Boston harbor and dumped 342
containers of tea into the harbor. There were many things that caused the Boston Tea
Partyto happen. There were acts such as the Sugar Act and the Currency Act that
caused the Boston Tea Party to happen, which all had to do with money or taxes.
The sugar act was a tax on sugar and molasses that affected the future of rum in the
area. The Currency Act was paper money issued by the colonies that was regulated,
so people could not spend it how they wanted to. The Boston Tea Party was
organized and carried... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In turn, some Americans started to smuggle tea from Europe so they could sell it
for a profit. With this new tax, tea had almost become a commodity, not for its
rarity, but for its price. No one wanted to buy it because of the tax on it. There was
also many laws and acts established by Britain that created tension between Britain
and the Colonies. There were acts such as the Sugar Act and the Quartering Act
that infuriated the people and also led up to the events of the Boston Tea Party.
(The Boston Tea Party of 1773) The constant, and ever increasing, demands from
the British infuriated the American patriots especially those who belonged to the
Sons of Liberty organization. The Boston Massacre arose from the resentment of
Boston colonists towards the British which had been fuelled by protest activities
of the Sons of Liberty patriots. This violent incident resulted in the death of 5
colonists and the branding of 2 of the soldiers who were found guilty of
manslaughter. The Tea Act stirred up all of the old feelings of resentment towards
the British. Although various taxes had been repealed the Tea Tax was not. With the
Tea Act laws still intact, the Sons of liberty believed they had to something about it
right then. The Boston Tea Party took place on the night of December 16, 1773
between the hours of 7 PM and 10 PM at Griffin s Wharf in Boston. The original site
Confidentiality Is A Common Pledge When Disclosing...
Confidentiality is a common pledge when disclosing sensitive personal information to
a mental health professional. In fact, Remley Herlihy (2014) believe that,
Confidentiality is one of the most fundamental of all professional obligations in
counseling (p. 106). A breach of confidentiality could damage the trust that took years
to build between the professional and their client; however, there are certain times
when the professional has limited options.
Providers are placed in a very difficult situation when faced with deciding whether or
not a client has the potential to harm someone else. If a situation like this arises, it s

Remley Herlihy (2014) describe the Tarasoff v. Regents of University of
California (1976) court case. Prosenjit Poddar was a 26 year old graduate student
who told his counselor his intentions to kill his girlfriend, Tatiana Tarasoff. His
counselor, Dr. Lawrence Moore, believed that the threat was serious and had
Poddar committed for a psychiatric evaluation. Dr. Moore notified campus police
who then took Poddar into custody but later released him when he promised to
have no contact with his girlfriend, Tarasoff. Two months later, Poddar stabbed and
killed Tatiana Tarasoff. Tarasoff s parents sued Dr. Moore for not warning their
daughter of the threat (Remley Herlihy, 2014). According to the Tarasoff v. Regents

Appelbaum (1985) explains three very important steps to take when predicting

Introduction
Switzerland is considered as among the best expat nations in the world due to its
very high standards of living and the fact that it has a multilingual and sophisticated
population. This has seen many large multinational organizations and companies set
up base in Switzerland in cities like Zurich. Due to this expansion strategies by large
organizations willingly to expand all over the world, many regional banks find it
necessary to open up offices in various countries such as Switzerland in order to offer
financial services for such companies and businesses that have expanded globally.
However, moving and setting up shop in Switzerland is not as easy as one may
think as it can be quite difficult and stressful if the right procedure is not followed
depending on various factors. According to Jordan (2012), recently, the earlier trend
where banks would turn a profit despite the financial situation in Switzerland has
disappeared. This assignment looks at issues that a regional bank may experience
while moving and setting an office in Switzerland.
Challenges faced in Switzerland by financial institutions
Cultural and Ethnic Characteristics
For regional banks moving from North America and Europe may not be particularly
very disadvantaged by the Swedish culture. Despite this, they may still find it
challenging when they set up an office in Zurich Switzerland together with other
regional banks from other parts of the world. Switzerland is a country with states

The Purpose of the African Union Mission in Somalia...
The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) on the surface is an effective
fighting force in Somalia; however, the success of AMISOM is contingent upon
Ugandan participation. The existence of AMISOM is due to a long Somali history of
political / economic instability and the current struggle against the Somalia based
terrorist organization, Al Shabaab. The overall objective within Somalia is to
eliminate or at a minimum contain the Al Shabaab threat. The creation of AMISOM
assists the Somalian Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and its allies to
effectively target Al Shabaab while using the United Nations(UN), European Union
(EU), and African Union(AU) backed AMISOM as an umbrella organization.

Next, the EU, like the UN, is assisting with the famine issue plaguing Somalia, as
well as paying the total of AMISOM troop salaries. Currently, members of the EU are
considering the amount to which that financial backing can be increased, given that
the Union is already financially burdened with several projects in the region, and the
funds initially reserved for AMISOM will not be enough to cover the costs sustained
by the increasing troop ceiling. The new EU Resolution 2036 (2012) states, It is
therefore vital, as stated in the resolution, that new contributors pledge to join the
European Union in providing financial support. The EU is active with the UN on
international initiatives set out by the UN Security Council Resolutions on
eliminating piracy off the coast of Somalia. Piracy acts have been occurring
simultaneously with the instability in Somalia, further strengthening the motives for
a stable Somalia.
The AU operates AMISOM with the approval of the UN and is headquartered in
Ethiopia. They face many tasks which include health issues (AIDS/HIV epidemic),
famine, intermediating in civil wars; and improving the standard of living. According
to their website, one of the objectives of the AU is to promote peace, security, and
stability on the continent. This objective directly aligns with eliminating the threat
posed by Al Shabaab.
Due to these instabilities within Somalia, it was essential for the UN, EU, and AU to

Data Standards And Public Health Information
Data standards are a means of creating terms and methods that are common
/universally understood which will assist in the efficient exchange of public health
information (O Carroll et al, 2010). Health Level Seven (HL7) and its individuals
give a structure (and related principles) for the exchange, reconciliation, sharing, and
recovery of electronic health data. These measures characterize how data is packaged
and conveyed between involved parties. It sets the dialect, structure and information
type needed for consistent integration between systems. HL7 principles bolster
clinical practice and the administration, conveyance, and assessment of health
services, and are perceived as the most generally utilized in the world (hl7.org).
Creating and utilizing uniform information measures has been found to be one of the
significant difficulties of public healthorganizations as they advance toward the
utilization of electronic trade of information rather than the paper form they have
been utilizing (O Carroll et al, 2010). Health information is vastly available not only
to health professionals but also to the layman. The growing use and availability of the
internet has permitted and facilitated the distribution of information. However,
without proper data standards by which public health institutions can abide by, there
will be a lag in their ability to share and capitalize on the use of health information. A
communal approach to representing and exchanging public health data

this one creates less radiation. That means that if a disaster were to happen, the

The Gun Laws And Gun Control
would find a way to obtain a firearm regardless of the law. Crime rate does not
originate from the accessibility of guns, but rather the actions of an individual that
has disregard for life in today s society. There will always be ways for the offender
commit crimes with or without guns.
What is being done about gun control?
We have all heard of all the tragedies throughout the country regarding guns.
According to the President (2013) We know that we cannot stop every act of
violence with guns, but what if we tried to stop even one? Weapon controls in the
U.S. is structured at a state level and each state has their own restrictions on gun
control. In different parts of the nation, there is significantly more resistant to firearm
laws. For instance, in Texas, the gun law permits individuals to carry handguns on
their side like in the cowboy era. In Kansas, firearm owner is not required to have a
permit to concealed weapon. In Missouri there is not required that a gun salesman
to have a background check or a waiting period. However, there is a requirement to
take a gun class, once you pass the class a buyer can purchase a gun then register it
with the sheriff department. In California a person can petition the court to remove a
firearm from a family member capable of violence.
There is a wide assortment of regulations in various states to permit firearms
approval. For instance, more than 66% of gun utilized as a part of a crime was in
New York City which is in a

Suffering Is A Universal Phenomenon That Nobody Can
Escape
Suffering is a universal phenomenon that nobody can escape. Every second, people
are murdered, tortured, beaten, maimed, separated from their loved ones (Ricard 35).
And even though it is an intrinsic part of our daily lives , it is often ignored in the
conversation of happiness because happiness and sufferingare perceived to be polar
opposite states of being. (Ricard 35). Scholars would argue that one is simply the
absence of the other. Stoic philosophers emphasize the importance of enduring
suffering, suggesting that suffering does not impact happiness outside of being an
obstacle. However, other scholars would argue that suffering is involved in the
integral process of achieving happiness implying that suffering does play a role in
happiness and that it is not so disconnected in relation to happiness as it is often
believed to be. So then, this brings up the question: What role does suffering play in
happiness? The answer to that is that suffering can serve as an instrument to either
enhance or achieve happiness if the mindresponds to suffering in a reflective manner
or detract from happiness if the mind lacks this reflective element.
The mind is an important factor in both happiness and suffering since people are
resilient to outside influences and changing circumstances. According to Sonja
Lyubomirsky, a professor of psychology, changes in our circumstances, no matter
how positive and stunning, actually have little bearing on our well being
(Lyubomirsky 186).
A Critical Review of Kelly’s Personality Theory in...
1. Introduction
Personality is a pattern of relatively permanent traits and unique characteristics that
gives both consistency and individuality to a person s behavior (Feist Feist, 2008).
For centuries, philosophers, personality theorists and other thinkers have been
trying to answer: what personalities are like, how personalities are developed, why
different personalities are developed and how personalities can be changed (Pervin
Cervone, 2013). George A. Kelly, an American psychologist born in 1905 in Kansa,
is one of those major contributors in the field of personality psychology (Warren,
1998). In this paper, I am writing to critically review George A. Kelly s perspective
on personality. I will first review Kelly s philosophy of ... Show more content on

They are namely a.) Structure which concerns what personalities are like; b.) Process
which concerns why people behave that way; c.) Development which concerns how
personalities are developed over life course; d.) Psychopathology which concerns
why some personalities are maladaptive and e.) Change which concern how
personalities, especially abnormal personalities, can be changed.
3.1. Structure: What Personalities Are Like?
In describing what personalities are like, Kelly abandons the classical threefold
division of psychological phenomena: cognition, affection and conation (Kelly, 1955,
p.130). Instead, he formulates his own personality theory with a single structure
named Construct . In this section, let s review the concept of construct and some of
its features.
3.1.1. Core Structure: Construct
Construct is defined as a representation of the universe, a representation erected by a
living creature and then tested against the reality of that universe (Kelly, 1955, p.12).
According to Kelly, people make sense of the world by formulating their own models.
They interpret things happened around them and organize those interpretations to
construe their own models of reality. These models are called constructs by Kelly.
3.1.2. Dichotomy of Construct
All constructs follow the bipolar or dichotomous form (Kelly, 1955, p.59). Kelly
believes that people formulate constructs by distinguishing similarities and contrasts.
For example, we find
The Main Message Of The Population Bomb
The main message of The Population Bomb is to create a realistic conversation on
our overgrowing population and their everlasting effects on a global basis. You can
criticize the causes and effects that lead up to this problem but focusing entirely on
them will only cause us to stray away from the actual problem of overpopulation.
When The PopulationBomb was written in 1968, there were roughly 3.5 billion
people in world. In their revisit of their book in 2009, there were 6.7 billion.
Currently in 2017, there are 7.6 million people living in this world. In the last 50
years, the world s population has more than doubled from the original release of
the book. The population has grown exponentially in recent decades and we know
that in the modern era, overpopulation is a massive global problem. Hindsight is 20
/20 which is why we must fix the problem rather than discussing the why s and how
s. When the author first released this message, there were a lot of push back due to
the predictive nature of this argument. We can never be certain of the future which is
why it can be very easy to dispute information that seem unfavorable to us but we
must logically look at the message ahead of us. In current U.S. society, the message in
The Population Bomb is similar to the global warming findings that divide our
political structures. The global population growthand rising overconsumption have led
to devastating effects on our environment. According to James Hansen, a top NASA
scientist

Pokemon Candies and Eggs While Walking with Your Buddy Pokemon
The Pokemon Go Buddy System is the best update yet. Niantic told fans to expect
more from the game, and this latest feature is just one of the many to watch out for.
The new system will allow you to choose any Pokemon in your collection as your
buddy that will accompany you as you go in search for Pokemon and will also
appear next to you, behind you, perched on your shoulder, or flying alongside you in
the avatar screen. A Buddy Pokemon is categorized as medium, shoulder, big and
flying.
The Buddy system gives you in game rewards, such as a candy for walking certain
distances with your Pokemon buddy. But what makes it really exciting is that the
distance and time to earn candies is measured in the same way for hatching eggs. For
many players, this makes a great replacement for the tracking system that has been
removed, and what they have been waiting for to get an update.
Its effect is threefold:
It helps players to find specific Pokemon in the wild.
Introduces a new way of evolving Pokemon.
Provides an extra incentive that will re ignite the waning interest of players, what

Questions On Annoying Behavior And Negativity
Chapter 4
How to Handle Annoying Behavior and Negativity
How to Talk to Workers about Annoying Behavior
Some conversations can be quite difficult. Like how do you tell your coworker that
his halitosis is ruining your creative vibe? How do you tell someone that their way
of getting stuff done is cramping your style? Fortunately, there are ways to address
annoying behavior without being offensive. At the same time, the following
approaches can help you gain your fellow workers cooperation.
вћўBegin softly. Set your coworker at ease but at the same time, go directly to the
point. Once you ve told your colleague or your employee that you want to discuss
something with him, don t prolong his anxiety and move right to the challenging part.

That said, in order to minimize the occurrence of undesirable behavior, managers
should make it a point to conduct seminars and activities that will orient new
employees about what is expected of them in the workplace.
вћўRemember that each person hails from different cultural backgrounds. This affects
their manner of dressing, their personal hygiene, and even their general behavior.
While you should maintain respect for diversity and individuality, you should also
make it clear to workers that they must learn to embrace the cultural standards of the
organization. There is no reason why cultural differences should affect productivity in
the workplace or cause discord among workers.
вћўLastly, if you are the worker s manager, then you definitely owe it to the person
to initiate the conversation, no matter how challenging it is. You should explain to
the employee in a factual manner how his behavior can affect his career in a
negative way. If you don t talk to him about it, someone else will and they may not
be as sensitive or as tactful as you.
How to Deal with Negative People at Work
There are two types of negative coworkers. These are the occasionally negative
thinkers and the perpetually negative thinkers. Some people have a tendency to
complain because of current work conditions which they deem as unfavorable.
Meanwhile, some people just seem to have pessimism naturally oozing out of their
pores. Their negativism
The Constitution And The Articles Of Confederation
Rules would be the new topic of discussion at the end of the American Revolution
amongst the newly formed Free states that won their independence from Britain.
One huge question loomed over the Free states, how could they conduct a civilized
way of living without another ruler such as the king of Britain here in America?
There needed to be some sort of system that would generate a control to create a
unified country. States were acting and conducting business as if each state was its
own country and this left the America vulnerable on many fronts. Some of the main
issues that surfaced were; How to divide powers between local and national
governments? Which laws should be made, and by whom and who would enforce
them? I will address some of the differences between the Constitution and The
Articles of Confederation.
The Articles of Confederation were designed and formed from the thirteen states that
created a Confederation known as the league of friendship ; their goal was to find
solutions for problems; and one of the first attempts to create a system. The Articles
of Confederation was our nation s first constitution; during the last years of the
Revolutionary war, the government had been conducting our country s affairs
helping to negotiate the Treaty of Paris in 1783.
The Articles of Confederation were a set of principles set forth that got our nation
through the Revolutionary war. When the articles fell short at working effectively the
state delegates attempted to

Acetylation of Ferrocene
Acetylation of Ferrocene 17. October 1996 Experiment #7 Introduction In this lab
we will be utilizing the Friedel Crafts process of acetylation of ferrocene.
Ferrocene is an atom of iron bounded by two aromatic rings. We will use some
reagents that will cause the ferrocene to add either one acetyl group to an aromatic
ring or add two acetyl groups to each of the aromatic rings. In order to determine
how well this process had worked we employed: IR spectra analysis, column
chromatography, and a little TLC. This experiment is relevant in today s highly
industrialized world. By utilizing many of the techniques we employ in this lab, a
company can synthesize new types of materials or composites that could
revolutionize an industry.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Power through Position:
How the United States Strategically Forged the Free University of West Berlin
The year was 1948, and the Soviets were holding control of West Berlin with a
strategic blockade (Granieri 1035). Since the Soviets had full control of East
Germany, establishing themselves as a powerhouse was a priority. However, the
United States had another idea in mind, one that did not include giving up their West
Berlin territory. A new initiative was underway, an operation to get supplies from
the United States to West Berlin (Granieri 1035). Actions taken by military
personnel and representatives from both nations can be looked at like playing a
game of chess: by taking actions and calculating risks, each side will show their ...

The Free University was going to bring with it a new dynamic to an old West Berlin.
Originally, the idea behind the university was to bind together West Berlin with the
western powers who controlled it; a goal to westernize and make anew a post
industrialized society by creating new urban neighborhoods and roads that promised
more logistical presence, due the increase in automobiles throughout the growing
microcosm that this territory embodied (Baird 69). In addition to the external city
improvements, the university promised to be an institution of grand proportion with

such an edifice were passed down from western governments, guaranteeing the Free

democratic ideals that were promised be taught (Anthon 58). This university was

ENGINEER HUMAN Embryos Summary
In DON T TRY TO ENGINEER HUMAN EMBRYOS, Stuart A. Newman proposes a
number of negative outcomes that could become very real should mankind choose to
pursue genetic engineering on a mass scale. He explains that this technology, should
it become available to the public, has the potential to cause the creation of a genetic
caste system, the over manipulation of humangenes to create non human creations,
and the high probability of birth defects or cancer among genetically altered
creatures. There is a high level of bias within this article that raises questions about
its reliability. He fails to use any real statistics to back up his argument, makes
outrageous claims without backing them up, and stoops so low as to simply attempt
to make a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At certain points in the article, he alludes to ideas of things that could happen and
even outright makes claims of our future if we were allowed to genetically alter
people publicly. His claims are certainly possibilities, but he presents them as being
the only factual outcome there could possibly be. He could have used statistics on
genetic birth defects, the history of eugenics, the availability of such procedures, but
fails to have anything even remotely similar. He had ample opportunity to support his
argument with actual statistics, but he simply fails to do so. Despite being a fairly
lengthy article, the entire thing was backed up by nothing more than opinion and
conjecture. Numerous warnings are given throughout the article against the use of
genetically altered humans. He claims they are not needed, they are genetic failures,
they could create a caste system, and more. However, none of it is ever explained to
the fullest extent. With most essays, you present an idea and support it numerous
times to build a foundation for it. Newman simply doesn t. He makes said claims and
talks about the aftermath of them. Really, he should have explained everything more
in depth and fully articulated his ideas instead of simply stating them and the terrible

The Main Provisions Of The 1944 Education Act And 1988...
The 20th century saw more changes to education than the thousand years preceding
it. This was largely in response to a recently industrialised country; with newly
acquired voting rights, it became apparent that education should not be only for elites.
Education is a crucial element of social mobility and it is important we fully
understand both the positive and negative aspects of previous legislation to help us
plan for the future. The were two major 20th century pieces of legislation: 1944
Education Act and 1988 Education Reform Act. Both brought with them changes that
are still being felt today. This essay will cover those Acts in detail, along with other
sizable changes such as comprehensivisation, marketization and how other external...

The ramifications of Butler s failure to separate church and schooling and further
pandering by all subsequent ministers can still be witnessed today. The church s
influence on teaching on subjects evolution has forced the requirement of a law to
ban creationism being taught (BHA, 2014). It has also come to light that many faith
schools teach a very narrow worldview pertaining of just their own beliefs (NSS,
2015).
Furthermore the school age was raised to 15 in 1947, with secondary education
beginning at 11. Though the lack of funding and teaching costs meant this took a
long time to fully implement as the act stated it should be raised to 16 as soon as
feasibly possible but this did not happen until 1972.
Other changes included free milk and meals, clothing grants as well as transport to
and from schools. As families would normally expect children to be working by the
age of 13 14 these measures ensured there was not too high a financial burden on
parents. Giddard (2011) argues that although there were many problems with the
1944 Act its redeeming features were forward looking and progressive.
Few debates in education have been given more time than grammar schools. Though
not a part of the 1944 Act the tripartite system was based on a report by the Norward
committee (1943); which made recommendations based on the pseudoscience notion
of there being three types of mind:
Hypotensive Anesthesia
Induced hypotensive anesthesia:
Deliberate hypotensive anesthesia was first introduced to clinical practice by
Gardner in 1946 who used arteriotomy to reduce arterial blood pressure during
removal of a vascular lesion from the base of the skull (Gardner, 1946). Schaberg et
al. (1976) was the first surgeon who used this technique in oral and maxillofacial
surgery. Controlled hypotension is commonly used technique to limit blood loss
during specific surgical procedures on specific areas in which surgical hemostasis
may be difficult (hip, spine, and facial bones) (Tobias, 1996), but Samman (2008)
concluded that this technique remains controversial in oral and maxillofacial surgery
after a systemic review regarding benefits and risks of deliberate hypotension in
anesthesia. The technique ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2004). Several different pharmacologic agents have been used for controlled
hypotension, including inhalational anesthetic agents, beta adrenergic antagonists,
calcium channel blockers, and vasodilators such as nitroglycerin and sodium
nitroprusside (Rodrigo, 1995). As reported by Schaberg et al. (1976) hypotensive
anesthesia decrease the reduction of blood loss volume by 44%. Dolman et al.
(2000) compared hypotensive and normotensive anesthesia in mean blood loss in
orthognathic surgery patients and he found that mean blood loss in patients
operated under normotensive anesthesia was 270.2 ml while patients treated under
hypotensive anesthesia was 120.3 ml. Praveen et al. (2001) mentioned that mean
blood loss in patient operated in hypotension was 200 ml and patient under
normotension was 350 ml with 44% reduction in blood loss. A systemic review
done by Choi and Samman (2008) and they concluded that hypotensive anesthesia is
effective in blood loss and can be justified to be used as a routine procedure for
orthognathic surgery especially bimaxillary osteotomy. Ervens et al. (2010) found
that average blood loss in normotensive group was 1021 ml

The Effects Of Major Depressive Disorder

their lives (Zhang, Li, Sha, Bu, 2015). Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a
widespread problem that can affect anyone regardless of gender or age. MDD is one
of the most common mental illnesses (with an estimated lifetime prevalence of
16.6%) and is associated with significant impairments in social, occupational, and
educational functioning (Synder, 2013). Depression causes problems in a person s

to symptoms that are experienced in the body such as: pain, nausea, dizziness, and

offered up any emotional complaints or suggested a psychological reason for their

activities. They have trouble concentrating on their work, they tend to isolate
themselves from social activities, become lethargic, and lose the ability to enjoy

Epilogue Of Augustus s Mistake
As Augustus down walked the dusty old road he noticed something, most of the
shops that lined the edges of the road were closed. The food priced probably rose
again he thought. Whenever the food price rose, numerous shops close down.
Augustus considered himself lucky that he didn t have to move.
As he walked inside the bakery, the smell of fresh baked bread made his stomach
grumble with anticipation. When he walked into the back of the bakery he saw his
father cutting the dough into little squares and putting them in an oven.
Hey dad! He yelled across the deafening roar of the oven.

Like all tarantulas, its body is covered in movement sensing hairs. Its eyes can only
detect light or darkness rather than seeing anything. It relies almost completely on
its hairs to alert it of prey or predators. When threated, the bird eater will first rub its
hind legs together very quickly to make a loud hissing noise hoping to confuse and

their inch long fangs. If bitten the predator will experience extreme pain and

disorder known as manic depressive disorder or manic depression is a form of
mental illness that is characteristic of a person as having at least one manic episode
in his/her life (Jordan Halter, M 2014). These episodes usually result in excessive
activity and energy. A manic episode is a period of abnormally elevated mood and

are: uncontrollable mood swings between depression and mania that seem to appear
suddenly, anxiety disorders that can be debilitating and alter sleep patterns,

controlling any addictions and substance abuse issues, and finding the right

The theoretical foundation I ve chosen for my group is Beck s cognitive behavioral

thinking patterns, reinforcing adaptive behaviors and minimizing and framing
dysfunctional thought patters (Jordan Halter, M 2014). The time of the group is
limited and the goal is to change behavior through shifting thinking patterns (Jordan
Halter, M 2014). I chose this theoretical foundation as the basis for my group
because it has been found to be successful in other therapy groups where the
members suffer from bipolar disorder.

Open Pits In Canada
Open Pits The very first open pit mines that were built in the world started around
when men began to develop tools and constructing massive stone monuments to their
gods. They were known as quarries. Quarries are open pit mines that produce building
materials and dimension stone, such as granite, marble, limestone, and other tangible
rockbuilding materials. However, these open pit mines produced little to no
pollution at all because the technology to extract every last gram of ore from rack

comes out of a mine with any trace of ore within it. This produces what is known
as tailings. Tailings are one of the biggest pollutants of the world to date. They are
so toxic that they have to be mixed with water to produce sludge and are pumped
into ponds (known as tailings ponds) so that they are rendered obsolete .... Show more

In the United States, the Toxics Release Inventory, or TRI, plays the same role. When
mining was added to the TRI in 1997, the mining industry suddenly moved to the top
of the list of polluters, contributing over half the 7.77 billion pounds of toxic
chemicals released to the environment. Most of the pollutants came from the waste
rock and tailings that are created at the mine site. (MAC: Mines and Communities,
2007)
These mines are devastating to everything surrounding them if they are not
regulated and managed correctly, and there is one trying to be built up in Alaska. If
built this mine is to be the largest open pit mine to ever be built in the existence of
all mankind. Contrary to its size its name does not give convey its magnitude. The
name being simply known as The Pebble
Literature Review On Dehumidifiers
LITERATURE REVIEW 3.1 Literature Review The experimental analysis of a hybrid
liquid desiccant dehumidifier system by Nanda Kishore. The desiccant chosen for the
analysis is aqueous solution of calcium chloride. The effect of different operating
variables on performance of both dehumidifier and regenerator are studied. The
parameters studied are the effect of mass air flow rate, air inlet temperature, and
desiccant inlet temperature. The practicability of dehumidification of supply air by
the desiccant loop of the hybrid system is demonstrated. A S Alosaimy is
experimented to Concentration of desiccant solution regenerated by solar energy.
Experimental results show that solution with 30% concentration can be regenerated
up to 50% using solar energy. It was found that as the regeneration temperature was
increased, moisture absorbing capacity of air was increased. As the regeneration
temperature was increased, the dehumidification rate in the absorber was increased.
The moisture removal rate was increased with the increasing in regeneration. As the
inlet temperature of desiccant was increased, the dehumidification was reduced in the
absorber, indicated the reduction in moisture removal capacity.... Show more content

This paper is an experimental study on a structured packed tower of liquid lithium
chloride dehumidifier system with different air velocity and flow rate of liquid
desiccant. Desiccant temperature set into 100C and desiccant concentration is 0.4.
The result of this study shows that averagely the moisture removal rate and the heat
transfer rate are influenced both by the air velocity and desiccant flow rate. The
result shows that high air velocity will obtain the fast air dehumidification but has
low effectiveness and high liquid desiccant will obtain
City Of Threadful Delight Analysis
Response Papers Judith R. Walkowitz wrote the novel City of Dreadful Delight
that took place in London in the nineteenth century. During this time there was a
large wealth gap between the rich and poor citizens, creating the imaginary
landscape because of how the upper and middle classes viewed the city of London
and how the citizens liked to focus on others problems to forget about there own.
The author also compares how upper and middle class writers and reformers
viewed East and West London. Walkowitz studied upper and middle class authors
and how they created the imaginary landscape. She does this by using Henry James
who had just arrived in London in 1876. Henry was an artist, author, and a wealthy
upper class bachelor. Walkowitz shows how the city provided a place of escape and
fantasy. But the streets of London offered him freedom and imaginative delights (15
Walkowitz). London was such a massive city that within the city it had
neighborhoods of very different social and economic status. These writers pointed out
that it was difficult for the low income citizens to make a living because of the high
unemployment rate (31 Walkowitz).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The wealthy class was intrigued when they witnessed the lower classes struggles
with material and moral existence. This created a ...fantasy of urban exploration...
(16 Walkowitz). This was how Henry found himself people watching, looking down
on poor citizens due to how different their classes were. As illusionist, the flaneur
transformed the city into a landscape of strangers and secrets (16 Walkowitz).
Upper and middle classes marveled over the lower class. They felt they had the right
to look down on the poor because they were educated and had the moral

Cause And Effects Essay. Short cause and effect essay

  • 1. Cause And Effects Essay Writing a cause and effect essay can be both challenging and rewarding. The difficulty lies not only in the need for a clear understanding of the chosen topic but also in the intricacies of weaving a coherent narrative that explores the causal relationships and their corresponding effects. One of the initial challenges is selecting a compelling topic that not only interests the writer but also provides ample material for exploration. Once the topic is chosen, the task is to delve into research to gather relevant information and establish a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter. This phase demands time and effort to ensure that the essay is grounded in accurate and credible information. Crafting a thesis statement that succinctly captures the essence of the essay is another hurdle. This statement sets the tone for the entire piece and guides the writer in maintaining a focused and organized approach throughout the essay. Striking the right balance between specificity and breadth can be a delicate task, requiring thoughtful consideration. As the writing process unfolds, arranging ideas in a logical sequence poses its own set of challenges. The cause and effect structure demands a strategic organization of information to create a seamless flow. Ensuring that the causal relationships are effectively communicated without overwhelming the reader can be a fine line to tread. Moreover, maintaining a coherent connection between the causes and their corresponding effects is crucial. The essay must avoid becoming a mere list of events and outcomes, striving instead to provide a nuanced understanding of the interplay between various factors. Editing and revising play a pivotal role in refining the essay. The writer must critically assess the clarity of their arguments, the strength of their evidence, and the overall cohesiveness of the piece. This iterative process requires a keen eye for detail and a willingness to revise and refine until the essay achieves its full potential. In conclusion, writing a cause and effect essay involves navigating through the complexities of selecting a suitable topic, conducting thorough research, formulating a precise thesis, organizing ideas coherently, and engaging in rigorous editing. While it can be a demanding task, the satisfaction of successfully unraveling causal relationships and presenting a well-crafted essay is undoubtedly rewarding. Applying Change Theory Of Electronic Medical Records Applying Change Theory to Electronic Medical Records Maryjo Marvin Dixon Empire State College According to Hussain, Lei, Akram, Haider Ali, 2016 It is important for organizations to make changes and update old process in this competitive business environment . Implementing change in a department of a company, hospital or doctor s office can be difficult. Lewin s Change Model is an effective way to help Managers and business owners update old processes and structures. (Hussain, Lei, Akram, Haider Ali, 2016, P 1.) This theory helps managers identify if a change is needed or not Unfreezing Phase The first step is to cause awareness or an urgency. Hold a meeting and let employees/staff know that management is going to update equipment and switch to electronic medical records. You can use a couple different ways to create this urgency and dispel negativity. The first is benchmarking. According to Benson ,1995 Benchmarking is a continuous process by which an organization can measure and compare its own processes with those of organizations that are leaders in an area. You can use bench marking to explain how other doctor s offices have started to use EMR and profits have doubled. Inform staff about the benefits of using Electronic Medical Records. For example, EMR S will create space savings and will produce less waste, it will improve diagnosis and treatment, it will also help to reduce errors. And finally, it will help to increase productivity. Next open the floor to questions and ask employees/staff if they have any concerns. Management should dispel any restraining forces. Address any concerns staff may have and be sure the staff feels like their voices were heard. But don t spend too much time on addressing concerns because this will be seen as weakness. It is important to keep the lines of communication open and honest, which creates a sense of

Cognitive And Perceptual Development Of Children Developmental Motor Skills in Children Children acquire most of their motor skills from school, which is where they spend most of their time growing up. School settings can enhance motor development in children through play using toys available to them, however, some school environments can also inhibit motor performance. Children have the opportunity to improve and learn new skills from manipulating different objects as well as can practice intertrial variability from playing with others. In order to better understand the concept of motor development in children, a naturalistic observation can be performed. Depending on the environment, certain motor skills can be refined, while others can be repressed. Haywood and Getchell (2014) suggest ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the preschool aged children, they walked and ran around the room with ease. The preschoolers also walked up and down the stairs with ease, only needing to descend the stairs with two feet for each step when preoccupied with an object in her hand. These children also participated in manipulative fine motor skills while making arts and crafts. Although there were no differences observed between boys and girls during observation, KokЕЎtejn, MusГЎlek, Tufano (2017) conducted a study comparing gender differences in fundamental motor skills at the preschool age. Researchers found that compared to the boys, girls had greater total test scores, fine motor skill scores and balance scores. Physical Environment The physical environment in the Sparrow toddler classroom was more facilitatory than inhibitory. The environmental constraints included furniture scaling and carpeted area to prevent injury when falling. The furniture including tables, chairs, couches, and bookshelves were all on a smaller scale which offered affordance to the children as they could see and reach for things that they wanted. However, inhibitory environmental constraints includes the crowdedness of the furniture and toys in the room which increases the likelihood that a toddler could fall. In one instance, some chairs were stacked next to a wall and a little boy attempted to climb he almost immediately fell and hurt his head. A case like this could hinder the development of motor

Western religions are fairly straightforward about a women s place. For example, most Western religions (excluding the Roman Catholic Church) allow women in leadership roles within the religious community. Judaism allows women rabbis, most Christian religions allow women ministers, and even Islam, which does not allow women mullah, have had many influential female sufi s throughout Islamic history. Women have had similar roles in Eastern religion. Hinduism is so entwined in Indian culture, as I have shown, that most other cultures have a difficult time assimilating Hinduism into their own society. Even when Hinduism is assimilated into a culture, such as Hindu movements in the United States, women are sure to find discrimination in not only the traditional gurus and swamis who are teaching them, but sexist commentaries deeply ingrained in religious texts. Buddhism suffers from the opposite extreme. The Buddha originally banned women from monastic practice but later reversed his decision, allowing them to practice in separate quarters. Buddhist scriptures say very little about women, treating them as equals. In one scripture, the Visuddhi Magga, a monk asked: Reverend Sir, have you seen a woman pass this way? And the elder said: Was it a woman, or a man That passed this way? I cannot tell. But this I know, a set of bones Is travelling upon this road. (Visuddhi Magga, Ch1. FROM: Coomaraswamy.) Although this verse attempts to show the equality of women on the spiritual path, there was, and is, still sexual stereotypes similar to that found in the Bhagavad Gita. Once Gautama responded to one of his disciples questions about women by saying: Women are soon to be angered, Ananda; women are full of passion, Ananda; women are envious, Ananda; women are
  • 6. The Perception Of The Human Sciences Each of us are different in many ways and that fact cannot possible be disputed by anyone who has any back ground in the human sciences, as it has been scientifically proven that we all have unique finger prints, DNA, hair, looks, behavior and facial expressions and the combination of these things make us unique personality types so to speak. We also function from two different perspectives and we need to understand how each one of us functions. We each like to think that we are special (which we are) and in that portrayal system, we mostly portray what we perceive we want people to think about us. On the other side of the coin we have a reality in what we truly believe about ourselves and the way we feel inwardly. Many of us become disillusioned with our true inner picture, simple because of a misunderstanding of our personal purpose in life. The fact that we allow this dissatisfaction to creep into our lives, we create an inner insecurity within ourselves and we then start looking at others or alternatively we start behaving like others, which is completely outside our true personality, thereby attempting to look different, behave different, think different, dress different and when looking at our big picture, become dissatisfied with our true personality, allowing society to name us as a personality type which is definitely going to influence our level to be successful in life. Society has made us believe that we need to conform to a standard of behavior, which then
  • 7. List Price And Agent Feedback On The Weekly Calls As RMS has indicated many times, based on our observations and more importantly on the review of assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to believe on many of these assets, the condition or location of the property is the primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list price, but ultimately a sales price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended days on market and increased carrying costs incurred by the trust. This is an ongoing issue observed with Altisource and discussed on the weekly calls. List price continues to be the biggest concern and is a frequent topic during our weekly target assets and RMS raises these issues on an asset level basis, reviewing activity, property condition, agent feedback and offers (or lack thereof). RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is high relative to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more than 60 days and no offers, RMS and Altisource discuss the list price and agent feedback to understand why offers have not been received. RMS targets these assets for review every 2 weeks. Another recent observation is a continued increase in the number of assets in pending contracts that fall out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. RMS continued to observe this in January 2016. We believe this relates to the process by which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where
  • 8. The Discovery Of The Atomic Bomb Upon securing victory in Japan, whatever relief the American people felt from winning WWII was tempered by the realization that science had just created a weapon that could wipe nations off the face of the earth. The atomic bomb, if other countries obtained the technology, could bring about a nuclear holocaust. This fear of technology could have stymied scientific progress post WWII. However, going into the Cold War, people once again put their hope in scienceand looked at scientific progress as a measure of whether they were beating the Soviet Union. This was most evident in the space race, as both countries invested large amounts of resources into their space programs. Somehow, both countries had decided that scientific research for going into space would be the frontier upon which they would fight their indirect war. Accordingly, it is important to realize that space had already begun to capture the public s imagination well before the space race began. Though WWII showcased the weaponization of science, science popularizers such as Isaac Asimov wondered how those weapons could be repurposed into tools to help people. In his Foundation series, the first story being published in 1942, Asimov describes mankind thousands of years in the future as a spacefaring people that has expanded their civilization to the far reaches of space. He saw nuclear bombs not as a weapon for destruction, but as a source of energy for powering spaceships that would allow humans to colonize

With this new tax, tea had almost become a commodity, not for its rarity, but for its price. No one wanted to buy it because of the tax on it. There was also many laws and acts established by Britain that created tension between Britain and the Colonies. There were acts such as the Sugar Act and the Quartering Act that infuriated the people and also led up to the events of the Boston Tea Party. (The Boston Tea Party of 1773) The constant, and ever increasing, demands from the British infuriated the American patriots especially those who belonged to the Sons of Liberty organization. The Boston Massacre arose from the resentment of Boston colonists towards the British which had been fuelled by protest activities of the Sons of Liberty patriots. This violent incident resulted in the death of 5 colonists and the branding of 2 of the soldiers who were found guilty of manslaughter. The Tea Act stirred up all of the old feelings of resentment towards the British. Although various taxes had been repealed the Tea Tax was not. With the Tea Act laws still intact, the Sons of liberty believed they had to something about it right then. The Boston Tea Party took place on the night of December 16, 1773 between the hours of 7 PM and 10 PM at Griffin s Wharf in Boston. The original site

In fact, Remley Herlihy (2014) believe that, Confidentiality is one of the most fundamental of all professional obligations in counseling (p. 106). A breach of confidentiality could damage the trust that took years to build between the professional and their client; however, there are certain times when the professional has limited options. Dr. Moore notified campus police who then took Poddar into custody but later released him when he promised to have no contact with his girlfriend, Tarasoff. Two months later, Poddar stabbed and killed Tatiana Tarasoff. Tarasoff s parents sued Dr. Moore for not warning their daughter of the threat (Remley Herlihy, 2014). According to the Tarasoff v. The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) on the surface is an effective fighting force in Somalia; however, the success of AMISOM is contingent upon Ugandan participation. The existence of AMISOM is due to a long Somali history of political / economic instability and the current struggle against the Somalia based terrorist organization, Al Shabaab. The overall objective within Somalia is to eliminate or at a minimum contain the Al Shabaab threat. The creation of AMISOM assists the Somalian Transitional Federal Government (TFG) and its allies to effectively target Al Shabaab while using the United Nations(UN), European Union (EU), and African Union(AU) backed AMISOM as an umbrella organization. • 13. Data Standards And Public Health Information Data standards are a means of creating terms and methods that are common /universally understood which will assist in the efficient exchange of public health information (O Carroll et al, 2010). Health Level Seven (HL7) and its individuals give a structure (and related principles) for the exchange, reconciliation, sharing, and recovery of electronic health data. These measures characterize how data is packaged and conveyed between involved parties. It sets the dialect, structure and information type needed for consistent integration between systems. HL7 principles bolster clinical practice and the administration, conveyance, and assessment of health services, and are perceived as the most generally utilized in the world (hl7.org). Creating and utilizing uniform information measures has been found to be one of the significant difficulties of public healthorganizations as they advance toward the utilization of electronic trade of information rather than the paper form they have been utilizing (O Carroll et al, 2010). Health information is vastly available not only to health professionals but also to the layman. The growing use and availability of the internet has permitted and facilitated the distribution of information. However, without proper data standards by which public health institutions can abide by, there will be a lag in their ability to share and capitalize on the use of health information. A communal approach to representing and exchanging public health data

Crime rate does not originate from the accessibility of guns, but rather the actions of an individual that has disregard for life in today s society. There will always be ways for the offender commit crimes with or without guns. What is being done about gun control? We have all heard of all the tragedies throughout the country regarding guns. • 17. Suffering Is A Universal Phenomenon That Nobody Can Escape Suffering is a universal phenomenon that nobody can escape. Every second, people are murdered, tortured, beaten, maimed, separated from their loved ones (Ricard 35). And even though it is an intrinsic part of our daily lives , it is often ignored in the conversation of happiness because happiness and sufferingare perceived to be polar opposite states of being. (Ricard 35). Scholars would argue that one is simply the absence of the other. Stoic philosophers emphasize the importance of enduring suffering, suggesting that suffering does not impact happiness outside of being an obstacle. However, other scholars would argue that suffering is involved in the integral process of achieving happiness implying that suffering does play a role in happiness and that it is not so disconnected in relation to happiness as it is often believed to be. So then, this brings up the question: What role does suffering play in happiness? The answer to that is that suffering can serve as an instrument to either enhance or achieve happiness if the mindresponds to suffering in a reflective manner or detract from happiness if the mind lacks this reflective element. The mind is an important factor in both happiness and suffering since people are resilient to outside influences and changing circumstances. According to Sonja Lyubomirsky, a professor of psychology, changes in our circumstances, no matter how positive and stunning, actually have little bearing on our well being (Lyubomirsky 186).
  • 18. A Critical Review of Kelly’s Personality Theory in... 1. Introduction Personality is a pattern of relatively permanent traits and unique characteristics that gives both consistency and individuality to a person s behavior (Feist Feist, 2008). For centuries, philosophers, personality theorists and other thinkers have been trying to answer: what personalities are like, how personalities are developed, why different personalities are developed and how personalities can be changed (Pervin Cervone, 2013). George A. Kelly, an American psychologist born in 1905 in Kansa, is one of those major contributors in the field of personality psychology (Warren, 1998). Change which concern how personalities, especially abnormal personalities, can be changed. 3.1. Structure: What Personalities Are Like? In describing what personalities are like, Kelly abandons the classical threefold division of psychological phenomena: cognition, affection and conation (Kelly, 1955, p.130). Instead, he formulates his own personality theory with a single structure named Construct . In this section, let s review the concept of construct and some of its features. 3.1.1. Core Structure: Construct Construct is defined as a representation of the universe, a representation erected by a living creature and then tested against the reality of that universe (Kelly, 1955, p.12). According to Kelly, people make sense of the world by formulating their own models. They interpret things happened around them and organize those interpretations to construe their own models of reality. These models are called constructs by Kelly. 3.1.2. Dichotomy of Construct All constructs follow the bipolar or dichotomous form (Kelly, 1955, p.59). Kelly believes that people formulate constructs by distinguishing similarities and contrasts. For example, we find
  • 19. The Main Message Of The Population Bomb The main message of The Population Bomb is to create a realistic conversation on our overgrowing population and their everlasting effects on a global basis. You can criticize the causes and effects that lead up to this problem but focusing entirely on them will only cause us to stray away from the actual problem of overpopulation. When The PopulationBomb was written in 1968, there were roughly 3.5 billion people in world. In their revisit of their book in 2009, there were 6.7 billion. Currently in 2017, there are 7.6 million people living in this world. In the last 50 years, the world s population has more than doubled from the original release of the book. The population has grown exponentially in recent decades and we know that in the modern era, overpopulation is a massive global problem. Hindsight is 20 /20 which is why we must fix the problem rather than discussing the why s and how s. When the author first released this message, there were a lot of push back due to the predictive nature of this argument. We can never be certain of the future which is why it can be very easy to dispute information that seem unfavorable to us but we must logically look at the message ahead of us. In current U.S. society, the message in The Population Bomb is similar to the global warming findings that divide our political structures. The global population growthand rising overconsumption have led to devastating effects on our environment. According to James Hansen, a top NASA scientist

Questions On Annoying Behavior And Negativity Chapter 4 How to Handle Annoying Behavior and Negativity How to Talk to Workers about Annoying Behavior Some conversations can be quite difficult. Like how do you tell your coworker that his halitosis is ruining your creative vibe? How do you tell someone that their way of getting stuff done is cramping your style? Fortunately, there are ways to address annoying behavior without being offensive. At the same time, the following approaches can help you gain your fellow workers cooperation. вћўBegin softly. Set your coworker at ease but at the same time, go directly to the point. Once you ve told your colleague or your employee that you want to discuss something with him, don t prolong his anxiety and move right to the challenging part. вћў ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... That said, in order to minimize the occurrence of undesirable behavior, managers should make it a point to conduct seminars and activities that will orient new employees about what is expected of them in the workplace. вћўRemember that each person hails from different cultural backgrounds. This affects their manner of dressing, their personal hygiene, and even their general behavior. While you should maintain respect for diversity and individuality, you should also make it clear to workers that they must learn to embrace the cultural standards of the organization. There is no reason why cultural differences should affect productivity in the workplace or cause discord among workers. вћўLastly, if you are the worker s manager, then you definitely owe it to the person to initiate the conversation, no matter how challenging it is. You should explain to the employee in a factual manner how his behavior can affect his career in a negative way. If you don t talk to him about it, someone else will and they may not be as sensitive or as tactful as you. How to Deal with Negative People at Work There are two types of negative coworkers. These are the occasionally negative thinkers and the perpetually negative thinkers. Some people have a tendency to complain because of current work conditions which they deem as unfavorable. Meanwhile, some people just seem to have pessimism naturally oozing out of their pores. Their negativism

The Constitution And The Articles Of Confederation Rules would be the new topic of discussion at the end of the American Revolution amongst the newly formed Free states that won their independence from Britain. One huge question loomed over the Free states, how could they conduct a civilized way of living without another ruler such as the king of Britain here in America? There needed to be some sort of system that would generate a control to create a unified country. States were acting and conducting business as if each state was its own country and this left the America vulnerable on many fronts. Some of the main issues that surfaced were; How to divide powers between local and national governments? Which laws should be made, and by whom and who would enforce them? I will address some of the differences between the Constitution and The Articles of Confederation. The Articles of Confederation were designed and formed from the thirteen states that created a Confederation known as the league of friendship ; their goal was to find solutions for problems; and one of the first attempts to create a system. The Articles of Confederation was our nation s first constitution; during the last years of the Revolutionary war, the government had been conducting our country s affairs helping to negotiate the Treaty of Paris in 1783. The Articles of Confederation were a set of principles set forth that got our nation through the Revolutionary war. Ferrocene is an atom of iron bounded by two aromatic rings. We will use some reagents that will cause the ferrocene to add either one acetyl group to an aromatic ring or add two acetyl groups to each of the aromatic rings. In order to determine how well this process had worked we employed: IR spectra analysis, column chromatography, and a little TLC. This experiment is relevant in today s highly industrialized world. It has also come to light that many faith schools teach a very narrow worldview pertaining of just their own beliefs (NSS, 2015). Furthermore the school age was raised to 15 in 1947, with secondary education beginning at 11. Though the lack of funding and teaching costs meant this took a long time to fully implement as the act stated it should be raised to 16 as soon as feasibly possible but this did not happen until 1972. Other changes included free milk and meals, clothing grants as well as transport to and from schools. As families would normally expect children to be working by the age of 13 14 these measures ensured there was not too high a financial burden on parents. The result shows that high air velocity will obtain the fast air dehumidification but has low effectiveness and high liquid desiccant will obtain
