Why A Bathroom Is Worth Going Big
It doesn t matter whether you have a big home or a small home. Your bathroom is one of the rooms
you should invest in as many luxurious fixtures and amenities as you can.
Why A Bathroom is Worth Going Big
The bathroom can be a haven, a place where you take long soaks in the tub at the end of tiring days at
work. Reason enough why a bathroom remodel is one of the best things you can do for you and your
home.
On top of that, bathroom remodeling gives you an 80% to 90% return on investment should you ever
decide to sell your home. Whether it s a partial upgrade or a complete overhaul, a bathroom remodel is
one worthwhile project you should seriously consider investing in.
Deciding on the Scope of Your Bathroom Remodeling Project
The minute you start on your bathroom remodeling project, it can result in either one of two things:
you ll have that gleaming, tiled paradise of a bathroom you ve always wanted to have or you ll end up
having a half assembled mess of old and new bathroom fixtures. To prevent the second scenario, you
should decide on the scope of your bathroom remodeling project before you start anything.
Based on your budget, the span of time you have, and the size of your bathroom and its current state,
you have several options for remodeling your bathroom:
Option 1. Do a surface level bathroom remodeling. This is an option when your bathroom fixtures, the
knobs on the faucets and such, are still in good condition but your bathtub and/or your shower stall

Why I Am An Effective Teacher Essay
Great teachers are rare, are you an Effective Teacher
It has been stated that teaching is a craft and a highly skilled craft that can be learned. What is
consider to be an effective teacher? To keep this as simple as possible I could name a ton of attributes,
but to name just a few I would say an educator that knows how to dress for success or maybe someone
that has their classroom ready for learning, or even someone that knows how to create effective
assignments for their students. Also a great teacher has a love for learning, has high expectations for
each and every one of their students and even collaborates with colleagues on an ongoing basis.
Chelonnda Seroyer spent two months poring through The First Day of School and using it as a guide
for organizing for her first day of school. When the first day of school came, she had a script. She had
a classroom management plan.(iii) Effective teachers are supportive and understand the importance of
why students need good teachers to have personality, knowledge and compassion.
Teachers have a significant role in influencing the lives of young children. With this duty comes great
pride and pleasure. Therefore, all educators should strive to be good and effective teachers. Teachers
are people that can change the lives of many. Just by being allowed to sit in a classroom that has been
created to enhance the knowledge and intelligence of people can be life changing. Effective teachers
have positive expectations for their students

My Career As A Software Developer Working For Metricstream...
Q1.
I started my career as a Software Developer working for MetricStream where I worked on their
proprietary platform AppStudio . AppStudio is a rapid application development tool which is built on
top of another tool called Enterprise Governance Risk Compliance Platform (EGRCP) . Both these
tools very tightly coupled together and most of my work involved adding new features and widgets to
this tool. My first major project involved creating a widget for editing templates and emails associated
with business workflow (Workflows were developed using Workflow Designer). The sponsor for this
project was our team s product manager. We decided to adopt agile methodology for the development
of this feature. We spent about a week in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the end of first cycle, when we showed the UI to the product manager, he was not satisfied. He felt
that the UI was not consistent with our current theme, and asked us to implement an altogether
different theme. All our hard work involved I was laid waste. Since this was my first major project I
was quite upset about it and in fact felt that I was to be partly blamed for this fiasco as I did not work
harder to understand requirements. This change impacted not only our deliverables but also created
bad breath amongst the product manager and team members.
After the end of second cycle, however, when we delivered the revised theme to the product manager,
he was highly impressed and commended us for being able to maintain the same timelines despite
changes in the requirements and expectation. We all felt greatly appreciated and were highly satisfied
with the results of our hard work. Unknowingly, to ensure that we did not mess up the deadlines, we
had reduced the amount of time we spent on unit testing. This impacted our third cycle as more bugs
than expected were reported during it and we spent more time than allocated on fixing it.
Finally, when the product was showcased by the product manager to other stakeholders, our product
was greatly appreciated for being intuitive, attractive and user friendly. I believe despite the fact the
requirements were changed when it came to designing the user interface it was greatly beneficial as

Human Nature And Development Of Personality
Adlerian Therapy
Liliana Salazar
University of North Texas at Dallas
Adlerian Therapy According to Maniacci and Jonhson Migalski (2013), Individual psychology
mandates that a person must be understood in the holistic, phenomenological, teleological way
(p.179). Adlerians believe heredity and environment influence but do not determine our behaviors.
Moreover, every person has to strive for power, and humans develop inferiority feelings as a
consequence. Therefore, they need to overcome those feelings (Croake, 1975). This paper explains
how the views of human personality as holistic can explain maladjustment in the client, Allen, a 34
year old male who experiences episodes of depression. The paper will explore Allen s personality and
the relationship between those past experiences and maladjustment.
Human Nature and Development of Personality Croake (1975) argued the human being is a whole, not
just parts. Then personality can only be expressed if we take into consideration all aspects of the
human being. Adler (1982) pointed out that human nature of personality explains how heredity and
environment cannot build an attitude related to life. Instead every person builds on individual
experience. He affirmed that humans couldn t be classified. Edgar (1996) explained the medical model
does not apply to every person because everyone is unique, and when science tries to explain human
mistakes by their genes we are categorizing human beings.
According to Adler (1982), the

ALS The Fight for Life
One may wonder how ALS works through the body. The meaning is defined within the name
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Amyotrophic means that the muscles become small and weak causing
them to break down. Lateral occurs where the nerves nourish the muscles, these nerves are located on
both sides of the spinal cord.
Sclerosis means that the hardened or scarred tissue develops in place of the healthy nerves within the
affected part of the spinal cord. Additionally, the nerves, or motor neurons, that control the muscle
movement are divided into two categories: Upper motor neurons and lower motor neurons. The upper
motor neurons send messages to the spinal cord from the brain. The lower motor neurons send
messages to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another risk of death for the nerve cells is mishandled proteins in the nerve cells (Clinic, 2014).
While there is no cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, a medicine has been determined to aid in
slowing down the process. According to the ALS Hope Foundation, a medicine called Riluzole
(Rilutek) is believed to slow down progression of the disease by decreasing release glutamate levels
and damage to motor neurons. Based on the symptoms there are specific treatments to help work
through the problem at hand. For
Example, if someone with ALS began to have speech problems, they can see a special speech
therapists. There is ongoing effort to find a cure for ALS. Currently there are several clinical trials and
extensive research being conducted to discover a cure
(Foundation, 2012). The clinical trial with Riluzole has shown extend survival by several months for
those patients with difficulty swallowing. Riluzole also extends the amount of time for an individual
before they reach the ventilation stage. Riluzole cannot reverse any damage already done to the motor
neurons. The downside of the medicine is the

The Following Chapter Discusses Background Information
The following chapter discusses background information on quadcopters, structural batteries,
graphical user interfaces, and my research objectives. 1.1 Problem Statement The advances in
electronics and lightweight materials over the last few decades have resulted in the popularization of
quadcopters. Whether for recreational, military, or commercial use, people are beginning to recognize
the potential of quadcopters. One company in particular that is looking to exploit the use of drones on
a massive scale is Amazon through their Prime Air program. The goal of Amazon s Prime Air program
is to deliver packages weighing up to five pounds in 30 minutes or less to their customers [1]. While

Unlike conventional airplanes, rotary winged aircrafts have a fundamental advantage in that lift and
control are relatively independent of forward speed. Rotary aircrafts do not need a runway and have
much more freedom and maneuverability in the air. Despite early efforts to fly using rotary winged
devices as well as the mentioned advantages, the first successful flight came from a fixed wing aircraft
[2]. The development of rotor technology paved the path for the creation of the quadcopter. Etienne
Oehmichen successfully built the first quadrotor in 1922 called the Oehmichen No. 2. A single 120
horsepower engine powered the four rotors of this machine. However, due to a lack of control of
individual rotors, the altitude and orientation could not be varied. To combat this issue, four additional
propellers were attached to better direct the movement of the quadrotor [3]. Modern quadcopters do
not rely on additional propellers to maneuver themselves. Instead, each rotor can be manipulated to
perform virtually any aerial move. Today, quadcopters are used in many areas of industry due to their
reliability, cost effectiveness and multi functionality. The most widely known uses come from
photography and the military. Quadcopters are constantly seen being used in sports media coverage,
recreational and professional filming,

My Personal Definition For School Curriculum Essay
The meaning of the term curriculum is difficult to define. For school, Pratt (in Brady and Kennedy,
2014, p. 3) argues that curriculum can be an organized set of formal educational and training
intentions . For students, Marsh and Wills (in Brady and Kennedy, 2014, p. 3) maintain that
curriculum is an interrelated set of plans and experiences that a student undertakes under the guidance
of the school , while for teachers, the challenge is to develop curricula that will cater for the needs of
all students (Ah Sam Ackland, 2005). There are various meanings attached to the term curriculum .
My personal definition for school curriculum is that schools develop programs of different study areas
basing on the content of the national curriculum document; teachers plan their teaching basing on the
programs; eventually, students experience the curriculum by engaging in diverse teaching activities. In
this essay, I will be discussing The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) in relation to the
strategic plan and teaching philosophy of Hampton Park East Kindergarten. EYLF for Australia
guides Early Childhood Education in Australia today. The aim of this framework is to support children
s learning and development from birth to eight years. The framework provides a guideline for early
childhood educators to foster children s physical and mental development. Early childhood educators
in Australia recognize the importance of family education in children s learning and the EYLF

How Do Hurricanes Affect Southern Coastlines
Over the course of humanity, there have been several notable types of disasters ranging from severe
floods, earthquakes, tornados, fires, ice storms, bombings, tropical storms, and hurricanes. Many
individuals have experienced some form of these disasters throughout their life, either natural or
manmade. Surveys suggest that 13 30% of individuals will be exposed to one or more natural disasters
in their lifetime (Jacob, 2015, p. 512). Along the eastern and southern United States coastlines, the
more common disaster associated with these areas are hurricanes. Each year, on average, 10 tropical
storms, of which six become hurricanes, develop over the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of
Mexico from June to November. Many of these remain over the ocean; however, about five hurricanes
strike the United States coastline every three years (Hurricanes, nd, para 4). Based on this average,
roughly two hurricanes per year make landfall. Depending on the severity, that is two large areas with

Juvenile Competency to Stand Trial Essay
Juvenile Competency to Stand Trial The Supreme Court has long considered competency to be a right
of the criminal defendant in court. In many areas, insanity has been a criminal defense with a
significant history. However, in the early part of this century, adult protections, including the
competency requirement and common defenses like insanity, were not added into the juvenile court
system. Because juvenile courts were established to protect juveniles from the rigors of adult court
and punishments in adult facilities, states focused on achieving proceedings more compatible with
juveniles needs. Over the last decade, many state legislatures have offered better options and
procedures for handling delinquent juveniles. Many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Likewise, they can understand that defendants are charged with offenses and that the consequences
can be serious. Also, it is around this age when youths think of a right as belonging to them, and that
they can waive it or use it. The big question is their ability to deal with abstract legal concepts that are
grasped by most adults. Even at ages 14 to 16, only ¼ of youths described a right as an entitlement.
For example, when a police officer says to an arrested juvenile, you have the right to remain silent,
groups of youths described it as, you can be silent unless you are told to talk, or you have to be quiet
unless you are spoken to. Age by itself is a bad indicator of whether youths have reached an adult
level of knowledge of the legal process. Juveniles have various types of thinking and emotional
disabilities; thus, it takes them longer to reach their adult like potential. Also, many courts and many
people believe that youths that have been repeatedly arrested and exposed to court trials have a better
understanding of legal matters. Current research does not support this. Some juveniles will definitely
learn from these experiences and may even become advanced in the understanding of the trial process;
others will learn nothing at all. Therefore, just because a youthful offender is a repeated one, it does
not mean that he/she will understand the trial process and his or

G quadruplex structures formed in telomeres and proto oncogene represent a potentially useful target
for anticancer drugs. Stabilization of this arrangement may inhibit the further action of different
enzymes involved in cancer cell immortalization. In present work structure based drug design and
synthesis was carried out on series of meso substituted porphyrin analogues. The interaction of
porphyrin derivatives with G quadruplex DNA has been explored by virtual screening procedure.
Some of the potential binding agents were then synthesized and evaluated in vitro by MTT and PCR

conflict is the opposition presented to the main Character of a narrative by another character, by

facilitate the work of the Dentist and ensure that patients are attended to not only professionally by

associated with Jessica s actions. If an agent or employee commits a tort while pursuing his or her own

The Great Gatsby And Death Of A Salesman
Ambition. It is a vital characteristic required for an individual wanting achieve their goals. Being
ambitious alone is crucial to success as it is the drive that propels one toward it. It is and always will
be a human trait. Perhaps that is why the theme of ambition has been so prevalent in literature. It is the
dominant theme in The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald, William Shakespeare s Macbeth, Death of
a Salesman by Arthur Miller and The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort. In this essay, I will
discuss the two ways over ambition can cause an individual s downfall. The first is setting
unattainable goals which we can see in The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman. The second is
trying to achieve your goals unethically, seen in Macbeth and in The Wolf of Wall Street . The idea of
ambition and striving for achievement is highly valued by our society today. However, many people
forget that too much of anything can be catastrophic.
Ambition is a theme that many books attempt to touch on, yet very few are truly able to explore it.
F.Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby published in 1925 is a prime example of a novel that eloquently
presents this theme. The story follows Jay Gatsby, the ambitious self made man. Gatsby s desire is to
be reunited with his lost love, Daisy Buchanan. His ambitious journey toward his green light leads
him from poverty to wealth, but in the end, it is also the cause of his untimely death. Gatsby s over
ambition is shown in his obsession

Dulce Et Est Decorum Essay
Poetry can be dangerous, especially beautiful poetry, because it gives the illusion of having had the
experience without actually going through it. Good evening and welcome to burning poetry, I m your

glorified but in reality is a futile and devastating event, Owen explores this in his poem Dulce et Est

leave a large impact on the audience. During the years of 1914 to 1918, over nine million people died

Caught in the middle of all the tragedy that was primarily based in trenches, Owen began to find it
hard to account for all the distress and death he witnessed. Progressively becoming more convinced
that the war seemed to be carrying on past its purpose, Owen began to write poetry that highlighted
the irony of his situation. Owens Dulce et Est decorum explores the true events of war being the
tragedy and suffering that takes place. He points out to the reader that war is definitely not something
to be glorified or praised, and that the real meaning of being proud to fight for your country, has been
taken away.
Poetic devices are tools that a poet can utilize to create rhythm, enhance a poems meaning, or

by Edna St. Vincent Millay, the poet tells her readers about her experience of how love is not a

Without love, some men are emotionally affected to the point they would rather die than to live
without it. For this reason, Millay tells that love is valuable even though it does not provide the
necessity needed to survive. Millay states that Yet a man is making friends with death / Even as I
speak, for lack of love alone (7 8). Millay is verbally telling her readers that even though love is not a
physical thing that is needed to stay alive, many would prefer to die than not have love. The word yet
from the line gives an effect that emphasizes that love has some values in it. It can be said that to men
that death is much friendlier if one does not have love. Millay is telling us that due to the lack of love
that men do not have, she knows that love is causing men to die. Men are dying due to the lack of
love, causing men to rather die than live without it. The personification that is used is giving
characteristics to death such as a death befriending man. It is suggesting that love is more valuable
than what Millay thought it would be by that men keep dying because they do not have love.
Generally speaking, love is something men would die for even if it isn t a physical thing. Love may
not a physical thing yet it may cause health problems and in addition, gives us a better understanding

Analysis Of Buried Child By Sam Shepard
In Buried Child, Sam Shepard shows that secrets are hard to keep. In the play, we meet multiple
characters and we soon see that there are secrets in the family. As the play progresses, the readers find
out more and more about the secrets that are being kept. Near the beginning of the play, Tilden is seen
holding several crops that he says he gathered from the backyard. Dodge, his father, states that there
haven t been crops growing out in the back for over thirty years. Also, in the play, the readers never
learn enough about each character to understand why they act the way they do. For example, Bradley
is seen walking into the house with scissors ready to cut Dodge s hair. Even by the end of the book,
the reader never learns why Bradley ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This brings up issues when Shelly questions the family members about what is real and about what is
fake and starts getting frustrated. Also, the family does not have a good relationship with each other
because there is no trust established and the secrets that they keep create a hostile environment for the
family and for the visitors. When the family was beating around the bush on the topic of the dead
baby, it made the family more intense and everybody became on edge. Haileys and Dodge s
relationship was not good because of the secrets that they held. Hailey did not want Dodge to talk
about their past and if they did not have those kept secrets, then communicating for them would be a
lot easier. Also, not telling Shelly and Vince about the dead baby caused distrust between the family
members and created an environment where no one trusts each other. If the secrets were let out and
shared or at least not mentioned, the family would get along better and no alarming questions about
the family would arise. It is hard for the family to communicate when all of them know that there is
something deep that the whole family is hiding. In the end, the play shows that everybody has secrets.
No matter who the character is in this play, all of them have something to hide. For example, Dodge
talks about the dead baby but we never know if he is the father or if he has any actual shared blood
with the baby. Also, a lot of the characters in the play seem to

Violence In The Road
violence. The road in which The Man and The Boy travel on is chock full of danger, so one could not
expect to survive without seeing or performing any acts of violence, for example as mentioned before
there is danger almost everywhere, including in the cannibals that The Man and The Boy are trying to
hide from. However, perhaps the violence that we see in The Road is more justifiable than the
violence and warfare that occurs in A Farewell to Arms as in this novel people have to fight and kill in
order to survive in the world they live in, instead of just killing in aid of the war. The theme of
violence in The Road is apparent when The Man is searching a trailer for supplies, and McCarthy
writes: He wafted away the smoke and looked down into the trailer. The small fire burning in the floor
seemed a long way down. He shielded the glare of it with his hand and when he did he could see
almost to the rear of the box. Human bodies. Sprawled in every attitude. Dried and shrunken in their

home is not difficult because of the ten years of neglect that occurred in the Dursley household. Harry
has only been in two magical places and he already feels more comfortable than ever. Now that he has

Soon after entering Hogwarts, Harry must face a road of trials which will eventually lead him to
achieve his unlikely treasure. While roaming the halls after curfew, Harry receives detention in the
forbidden forest, and comes face to face with the Dark Lord. Other obstacles come to place when
Harry travels down the trap door into the chambers; such as devil s snare, a human wizard s chess
game, and the room of keys (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone). The series of tests make Harry s
mission difficult; however, the knowledge he gains from the unsuccessful trials bring him closer to his
main goal. These minor bumps in Harry s journey strengthen him emotionally and physically,
readying him to defeat the traitor at the end of his succession of tests. Unexpectedly, the betrayal
comes from the quivering Professor Quirrell who voluntarily gives up his body to the Dark Lord.

The Rights Of Gay Rights In The LGBT Rights
LGBT rights are one of the most argued rights today. These rights are protected by the Fourteenth
Amendment. This amendment states that you cannot deny a person equal protection, and some people
completely ignore this when it comes to the LGBT community. People tend to believe that if someone
is a lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and so forth, that there is something wrong with them and that
they need help. That s not the case at all. People in the LGBT community are just like everyone else
that isn t in that category. They re trying to be true to who they are and that is so hard when you know
that so many people in this world are disgusted by gays. Everyone deserves love, whether it be from
someone of the opposite sex or the same sex. Some people see two girls together and think that it s
inappropriate or disgusting , and that they should be with a man. Heterosexuality is the sexuality that
most parents force upon their children whether they notice it or not. Do you have a boyfriend? is one
way that a parent is throwing heterosexuality in their daughter s face. It s not that their being forceful
about it, or even trying to be rude, it s just the most common thing of what they re used to, but it s not
always going to be that way. It s crucial to know that there are people in this world that are gay,
lesbian, and bisexual. I m in no way trying to speak for the LGBT community, but my goal concerning
this paper is to discuss Supreme Court cases on same sex couples and to cover areas where the LGBT
community
Lambert 2 may not always get treated as equally as straight people. To being with, a Supreme Court
case that was tried was the case of Bowers v. Hardwick in 1986. This case occurred after a man named
Michael Hardwick was found in bed with another man. Hardwick was charged with sodomy and was
taken to Court. Hardwick argued that it was a right of privacy and believed that his relationship didn t
concern others. The Court disagreed, and ruled 5 to 4 that the right of privacy was not protected in
cases with homosexual adults, even if they had consented. The charges against Hardwick were
dropped, and a man named Justice Powell, a member of majority, said that his vote was mistaken.

The play Don Giovanni directed by Peter Sellers shares many parallels to Moliere s comedy Don Juan.

The Psychology of The Gambler Essay
The Psychology of The Gambler
In Fyodor Dostoyevsky s The Gambler, we are presented with a novel whose protagonist is what we
would call today a problem gambler. The gambling mania of the story s hero, Alexei Ivanovitch, is a
mirror of Dostoyevsky s own gambling compulsion. The heroine, Polina Alexandrovna, represents a
woman Dostoyevsky had as a real lover. Polina is the stepdaughter of the General, who Alexei works
for as a servant. The General shows paranoia over gambling from the outset of the story. He censures
Alexei with respect to his care of the children, I suppose you would like to take them to the Casino to

of acquiring money? How, for instance, is it worse than trade? True, out of a hundred persons, only

When it comes to writers and writing, there is an old maxim that is often repeated, Write what you
know. Dostoyevsky seems to have taken this advice to heart when it comes to his own writing. For the
gambler is based on a real love affair had by the author as well as being a first hand account of the
behaviors and psyches of the addicted gambler (which he was for a period of time). As Christine
McKay (2) points out, The Gambler is based on Dostoyevsky s love affair with Apollinaria Suslova as
well as his frequent casino visits to play roulette, which he began playing in 1863, at a time when he
was extremely poor. He experienced first hand the excesses of gambling so aptly described in The

If some of my first few jobs are making demos for bands, I want those demos to be as good as

they can for a fraction of the cost, I m going to be getting business.
The number one thing that I want to do with my studio is record full length great quality albums for
bands. This may or may not be my bread and butter as far as recording goes but it is what I m most
interested in. The target price that I want to charge for this is $400 for a ten song album. This is
assuming that there will be a six hour block for drum tracking and eight hours total for tracking other
instruments. If I m planning to make $10 an hour this leaves 26 hours for me to edit and mix.
Anything out of the norm will be charged for accordingly. For instance if there are excessive tempo
changes in songs or the band wants to go extreme with layering guitars and vocals. Some pieces of
gear that I will need for this application are an awesome analog compressor, stellar reverbs and good

Examples Of Misogyny In Washington Irving
American author, Washington Irving, shows evidence of misogyny in two out of three stories we read.
Irving discriminated in the story Rip Van Winkle and The Devil and Tom Walker and one could really
see that he was a misogynist. One example In Rip Van Winkle is when Irving described Rip s wife as a
fiery furnace of domestic tribulation. One example of disfavor towards women in the story Devil and
Tom Walker was when the Devil killed Tom s wife and Tom showed gratitude towards the Devil. It is
clear that Washington Irving shows discrimination towards women in his story.

Chronic And Complex Illness Important From A Nursing...
1. How is chronicity defined? Why is an illness rather than a disease approach to chronic and complex
illness important from a nursing perspective? Discuss in regard to depression as co morbidity.
Chronicity is generally used as an umbrella term of chronic illness or disease that refers to persistent
impairments or disabilities deviating from normal life, which require long period of rehabilitation,
supervision, observation and care (Lubkin Larsen 2006). However, in order to understand its complex
context, the distinct difference between disease and illness should be understood (Johnson Chang
2008; Lubkin Larsen 2006). Disease can be defined as the pathophysiology of the condition, which
refers to changes in structure and function (Lubkin Larsen 2006). However, the context of illness is
much broader than disease, as it mainly focuses on symptoms and human experience that includes
how individuals perceive and live with and respond to diseases including carers and health
professionals (Johnson Chang 2008; Lubkin Larsen 2006). Therefore, chronic illness is often
considered as irreversible and incurable condition, which requires ongoing care and attention on all
aspects of the person s life (Johnson Chang 2008).
The medical cure of chronic disease is not considered in nursing s domain, but a nurse can make a
difference in individuals and their families experiences of chronic illness as a member of the
multidisciplinary team (Lubkin Larsen 2006). Although, the

The Controversy Of Open Campus
Recently at our high school there has been controversy over the topic of open campus. Is this a good
idea? Letting growing adults off on their own well being is a horrible idea. These students should be
watched at all times and monitored. The food provided by our school is government approved and
good for nutrition. But, of course if we have students off on their own they won t come back to school.
School is meant to be a safe and educational place for all students. Food and drinks located at school
are healthy and state approved. If these students don t eat our food they ll eat greasy and fatty food
sure to give them health issues. These young teens idea of food is a burger with friends and a large
soda; this is sure to get the overweight.

Ethanol And Fermentation
The Effect of Ethanol on Fermentation in Yeast
MATERIALS AND METHODS
We filled three beakers each with 120 ml of 10% sucrose. In the first beaker we added no ethanol to
the 120 ml of 10% sucrose for a 0% solution, we then added 6 ml of 99% ethanol for a 5% solution in
the second beaker, and added 12 ml of 99% ethanol for a 10% solution in the third beaker. We then
took 40 ml of each solution in separate beakers and stirred in .4 grams of yeast. After allowing the
yeast to proof, we poured each solution into their own fermentation tubes and then placed them in a
37℃ water bath measuring (mm) how much carbon dioxide was produced every five minutes for
thirty minutes. This was repeated two more times with each solution.

Sewage Lagoons Case Study
The outlying areas of Prince George are mostly rural with the only services being provided to them
being electricity. As the City of Prince George expands, these rural areas are becoming more
populated and people want a higher quality of living. In the region of a south east corner of the city
limits are two roads called Midland Road, and Blackburn Road South. Location seen in Figure 1 on
the next page. The soil conditions in this area are mostly clay and do not support the use of Septic
Fields. Instead residents have to use Sewage Lagoons which can pose a problem in regards to spacing.
These residents also have to get water through the use of wells. Residents along Midland Road
brought forward the topic of having a sewer main installed

The Norman Conquest By Marc Morris, The Narrative Of The...
The Norman Conquest by Marc Morris is a narrative of the Norman invasion of 1066. Since the
events happened so long ago, there are many incomplete accounts of the events. Even these
incomplete accounts are usually heavily biased. As such, it is a difficult undertaking for a historian to
construct a cohesive summary of the period. Nevertheless, Marc Morris attempted the task, and did an
admirable job. It is written as a narrative, but has enough detail to satisfy a student of history. Morris
begins by exploring the history of one of the few sources that remain of the Norman invasion, the
Bayeux tapestry. The tapestry has had a long history of trading hands and escaping harm seemingly
miraculously. According to Morris, the Bayeux tapestry has survived looting in the French Revolution,
was owned by Napoleon Bonaparte for a time, and was stolen by Nazis during their occupation of
France in World War II. Aside from its own fascinating history, the tapestry itself is not a flawless
source. Morris points out that it is in fact incomplete, as it abruptly stops at Harold Godwinson s
death. It was also in part copied from older accounts of the invasion and therefore is not a primary
source. It is also non committal in its portrayal of events and the captions are for the most part
willfully obscure or ambiguous (p. 4). In other words, it seems intended more to be a narrative than as
a factual historical record. Exact dates are often not given for important events, such as the

Selective Breeding Research Paper
Selective Breeding is the process through which plants and animals with certain traits are bred
together to produce an offspring with desired traits. In other words, the process in which humans
choose the traits which they want in a plant or animal, and they breed them hoping for a plant which
can grow bigger, or maybe an animal which can be stronger. Selective Breeding is all about the
inheritance of genes and alleles. Scientists may breed individuals to their desired traits, whilst also
being aware of possible recessive genes. Chromosomes which carry genetic codes for an organism,
determine the features and characteristics of that organism. Each organism has different features and
characteristics, this is when selective breeding takes place, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

With dogs, selective breeding is of benefit so we can breed out diseases and breed dogs for different
purposes. Selective breeding in general means we can breed cows which can produce more milk or
chickens which can lay more eggs, because with a growing population we do need more food, this is
another reason as to way selective breeding is ethical in general as it is one of the buggiest advantages.
Selective breeding could be considered in ethical when used to cross breed dogs just for a cuter
appearance, whereas cross breeding dogs to make it stronger and faster is ethical and more beneficial
for dogs. This has a positive impact on society as dogs and in general selective breeding has many
benefits on people.
In conclusion, selective breeding does have its general advantages of eliminating diseases, removing
undesired traits, and an increased population, to also having it advantages in selective breeding in
dogs. But it can also have it disadvantages of animal discomfort, no control over the genes, and it can
also be time consuming and can risk inbreeding of organisms, and also having further disadvantages
in dogs, but it is done correctly and efficiently, selective breeding can make a big difference, to genes,
and the future generations of plants and animals

Technicolor Monologue
Tra and la! I am smiling a big adopted orphan smile as I write this. I am embarrassed at how happy I
am, like some Technicolor comic of a teenage girl talking on the phone with my hair in a ponytail, the
bubble above my head saying: I met a boy! But I did. This is a technical, empirical truth. I met a boy, a
great, gorgeous dude, a funny, cool ass guy. Let me set the scene, because it deserves setting for
posterity (no, please, I m not that far gone, posterity! feh). But still. It s not New Year s, but still very
much the new year. It s winter: early dark, freezing cold. Carmen, a newish friend semi friend, barely
friend, the kind of friend you can t cancel on has talked me into going out to Brooklyn, to one of her
writers parties. Now, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I have lost Carmen to her host beau they are having an intense discussion in a corner of the kitchen,
the two of them hunching their shoulders, their faces toward each other, the shape of a heart. Good. I
think about eating to give myself something to do besides standing in the center of the room, smiling
like the new kid in the lunchroom. But almost everything is gone. Some potato chip shards sit in the
bottom of a giant Tupperware bowl. A supermarket deli tray full of hoary carrots and gnarled celery
and a semeny dip sits untouched on a coffee table, cigarettes littered throughout like bonus vegetable
sticks. I am doing my thing, my impulse thing: What if I leap from the theater balcony right now?
What if I tongue the homeless man across from me on the subway? What if I sit down on the floor of
this party by myself and eat everything on that deli tray, including the cigarettes? Please don t eat
anything in that area, he says. It is him (bum bum BUMMM!), but I don t yet know it s him (bum bum
bummm). I know it s a guy who will talk to me, he wears his cockiness like an ironic T shirt, but it fits
him better. He is the kind of guy

China s Reform And Opening Up
As the three FIE Laws were introduced at the start of China s reform and opening up, they serve as
fundamental laws for foreign investment issues in China for almost 40 years. However, because of the
rapid and deeper development of China s economy in recent years, these laws face a number of issues.
1.1. Conflicts with the Company Law Under current relevant laws and regulation, foreign investors
have several options to set up their businesses in China. They can establish corporations in the form of
EJVs, CJVs or WFOEs under the EJV law, CJV law or WFOE law respectively. In addition, they can
set up limited liability companies ( LLC ) under the Company Law as well. Generally, Company Law
is focus on regulating domestic enterprises instead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These supervisors should be appointed or elected by shareholders and employees. As the FIE laws do
not mention this matter, limited liability FIEs like EJVs should also comply with Article 52. However,
under the FIE laws, shareholders meeting is not regarded as an authoritative body and therefore there
is no provision or framework for FIEs to deal with the shareholders voting procedures. Although the
board of directors, which is the highest authority under the FIE laws, can appoint supervisors, the
appointment would be inappropriate and doubtable because supervisors responsibility is to supervise
those directors . 1.2. Excessive regulation of foreign invested enterprises According to the current FIE
laws, a case by case approval system is applied to all FIEs. Obtaining of positive approvals for
investment projects from National Development and Reform Commission ( NDRC ) is the first step;
Afterwards, approval for establishment should be acquired from MOFCOM; In order to operate the
firm, a business license, which is granted by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce (
SAIC ), is required . Approvals are also required on every significant issues such as the transfer of
controlled capital or shares, merger and acquisition, liquidation and so on. In the case Qingyue Gao v
Shicai Chen , the two foreign parties had signed two contracts in respect of 70% shares transferring
from the plaintiff to defendant in 2006. The

Your bathroom is one of the rooms you should invest in as many luxurious fixtures and amenities as you can. Why A Bathroom is Worth Going Big The bathroom can be a haven, a place where you take long soaks in the tub at the end of tiring days at work. Reason enough why a bathroom remodel is one of the best things you can do for you and your home. On top of that, bathroom remodeling gives you an 80% to 90% return on investment should you ever decide to sell your home. Whether it s a partial upgrade or a complete overhaul, a bathroom remodel is one worthwhile project you should seriously consider investing in. Deciding on the Scope of Your Bathroom Remodeling Project The minute you start on your bathroom remodeling project, it can result in either one of two things: you ll have that gleaming, tiled paradise of a bathroom you ve always wanted to have or you ll end up having a half assembled mess of old and new bathroom fixtures. Based on your budget, the span of time you have, and the size of your bathroom and its current state, you have several options for remodeling your bathroom: Option 1. What is consider to be an effective teacher? To keep this as simple as possible I could name a ton of attributes, but to name just a few I would say an educator that knows how to dress for success or maybe someone that has their classroom ready for learning, or even someone that knows how to create effective assignments for their students. Also a great teacher has a love for learning, has high expectations for each and every one of their students and even collaborates with colleagues on an ongoing basis. Chelonnda Seroyer spent two months poring through The First Day of School and using it as a guide for organizing for her first day of school. When the first day of school came, she had a script. She had a classroom management plan.(iii) Effective teachers are supportive and understand the importance of why students need good teachers to have personality, knowledge and compassion. Teachers have a significant role in influencing the lives of young children. With this duty comes great pride and pleasure. Therefore, all educators should strive to be good and effective teachers. Teachers are people that can change the lives of many. Just by being allowed to sit in a classroom that has been created to enhance the knowledge and intelligence of people can be life changing. AppStudio is a rapid application development tool which is built on top of another tool called Enterprise Governance Risk Compliance Platform (EGRCP) . Both these tools very tightly coupled together and most of my work involved adding new features and widgets to this tool. Since this was my first major project I was quite upset about it and in fact felt that I was to be partly blamed for this fiasco as I did not work harder to understand requirements. This change impacted not only our deliverables but also created bad breath amongst the product manager and team members. After the end of second cycle, however, when we delivered the revised theme to the product manager, he was highly impressed and commended us for being able to maintain the same timelines despite changes in the requirements and expectation. We all felt greatly appreciated and were highly satisfied with the results of our hard work. Unknowingly, to ensure that we did not mess up the deadlines, we had reduced the amount of time we spent on unit testing. This impacted our third cycle as more bugs than expected were reported during it and we spent more time than allocated on fixing it. Finally, when the product was showcased by the product manager to other stakeholders, our product was greatly appreciated for being intuitive, attractive and user friendly. • 5. Human Nature And Development Of Personality Adlerian Therapy Liliana Salazar University of North Texas at Dallas Adlerian Therapy According to Maniacci and Jonhson Migalski (2013), Individual psychology mandates that a person must be understood in the holistic, phenomenological, teleological way (p.179). Adlerians believe heredity and environment influence but do not determine our behaviors. Moreover, every person has to strive for power, and humans develop inferiority feelings as a consequence. Therefore, they need to overcome those feelings (Croake, 1975). This paper explains how the views of human personality as holistic can explain maladjustment in the client, Allen, a 34 year old male who experiences episodes of depression. The paper will explore Allen s personality and the relationship between those past experiences and maladjustment. Human Nature and Development of Personality Croake (1975) argued the human being is a whole, not just parts. Then personality can only be expressed if we take into consideration all aspects of the human being. Adler (1982) pointed out that human nature of personality explains how heredity and environment cannot build an attitude related to life. Instead every person builds on individual experience. He affirmed that humans couldn t be classified. Edgar (1996) explained the medical model does not apply to every person because everyone is unique, and when science tries to explain human mistakes by their genes we are categorizing human beings. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Unlike conventional airplanes, rotary winged aircrafts have a fundamental advantage in that lift and control are relatively independent of forward speed. Rotary aircrafts do not need a runway and have much more freedom and maneuverability in the air. Despite early efforts to fly using rotary winged devices as well as the mentioned advantages, the first successful flight came from a fixed wing aircraft [2]. The development of rotor technology paved the path for the creation of the quadcopter. Etienne Oehmichen successfully built the first quadrotor in 1922 called the Oehmichen No. 2. A single 120 horsepower engine powered the four rotors of this machine. However, due to a lack of control of individual rotors, the altitude and orientation could not be varied. To combat this issue, four additional propellers were attached to better direct the movement of the quadrotor [3]. Modern quadcopters do not rely on additional propellers to maneuver themselves. Instead, each rotor can be manipulated to perform virtually any aerial move. Today, quadcopters are used in many areas of industry due to their reliability, cost effectiveness and multi functionality. The most widely known uses come from photography and the military. For school, Pratt (in Brady and Kennedy, 2014, p. 3) argues that curriculum can be an organized set of formal educational and training intentions . For students, Marsh and Wills (in Brady and Kennedy, 2014, p. 3) maintain that curriculum is an interrelated set of plans and experiences that a student undertakes under the guidance of the school , while for teachers, the challenge is to develop curricula that will cater for the needs of all students (Ah Sam Ackland, 2005). There are various meanings attached to the term curriculum . My personal definition for school curriculum is that schools develop programs of different study areas basing on the content of the national curriculum document; teachers plan their teaching basing on the programs; eventually, students experience the curriculum by engaging in diverse teaching activities. Also, it is around this age when youths think of a right as belonging to them, and that they can waive it or use it. The big question is their ability to deal with abstract legal concepts that are grasped by most adults. Even at ages 14 to 16, only ¼ of youths described a right as an entitlement. For example, when a police officer says to an arrested juvenile, you have the right to remain silent, groups of youths described it as, you can be silent unless you are told to talk, or you have to be quiet unless you are spoken to. Age by itself is a bad indicator of whether youths have reached an adult level of knowledge of the legal process. Juveniles have various types of thinking and emotional disabilities; thus, it takes them longer to reach their adult like potential. Also, many courts and many people believe that youths that have been repeatedly arrested and exposed to court trials have a better understanding of legal matters. Current research does not support this. Perhaps that is why the theme of ambition has been so prevalent in literature. It is the dominant theme in The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald, William Shakespeare s Macbeth, Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller and The Wolf of Wall Street by Jordan Belfort. In this essay, I will discuss the two ways over ambition can cause an individual s downfall. The first is setting unattainable goals which we can see in The Great Gatsby and Death of a Salesman. The second is trying to achieve your goals unethically, seen in Macbeth and in The Wolf of Wall Street . The idea of ambition and striving for achievement is highly valued by our society today. However, many people forget that too much of anything can be catastrophic. Ambition is a theme that many books attempt to touch on, yet very few are truly able to explore it. F.Scott Fitzgerald s The Great Gatsby published in 1925 is a prime example of a novel that eloquently presents this theme. The story follows Jay Gatsby, the ambitious self made man. For instance if there are excessive tempo changes in songs or the band wants to go extreme with layering guitars and vocals. Some pieces of gear that I will need for this application are an awesome analog compressor, stellar reverbs and good microphones. • 42. Chronic And Complex Illness Important From A Nursing... 1. How is chronicity defined? Why is an illness rather than a disease approach to chronic and complex illness important from a nursing perspective? Discuss in regard to depression as co morbidity. Chronicity is generally used as an umbrella term of chronic illness or disease that refers to persistent impairments or disabilities deviating from normal life, which require long period of rehabilitation, supervision, observation and care (Lubkin Larsen 2006). However, in order to understand its complex context, the distinct difference between disease and illness should be understood (Johnson Chang 2008; Lubkin Larsen 2006). Disease can be defined as the pathophysiology of the condition, which refers to changes in structure and function (Lubkin Larsen 2006). However, the context of illness is much broader than disease, as it mainly focuses on symptoms and human experience that includes how individuals perceive and live with and respond to diseases including carers and health professionals (Johnson Chang 2008; Lubkin Larsen 2006). Therefore, chronic illness is often considered as irreversible and incurable condition, which requires ongoing care and attention on all aspects of the person s life (Johnson Chang 2008). The medical cure of chronic disease is not considered in nursing s domain, but a nurse can make a difference in individuals and their families experiences of chronic illness as a member of the multidisciplinary team (Lubkin Larsen 2006). • 47. The Norman Conquest By Marc Morris, The Narrative Of The... The Norman Conquest by Marc Morris is a narrative of the Norman invasion of 1066. Since the events happened so long ago, there are many incomplete accounts of the events. Even these incomplete accounts are usually heavily biased. As such, it is a difficult undertaking for a historian to construct a cohesive summary of the period. Nevertheless, Marc Morris attempted the task, and did an admirable job. It is written as a narrative, but has enough detail to satisfy a student of history. Morris begins by exploring the history of one of the few sources that remain of the Norman invasion, the Bayeux tapestry. The tapestry has had a long history of trading hands and escaping harm seemingly miraculously. According to Morris, the Bayeux tapestry has survived looting in the French Revolution, was owned by Napoleon Bonaparte for a time, and was stolen by Nazis during their occupation of France in World War II. Aside from its own fascinating history, the tapestry itself is not a flawless source. Morris points out that it is in fact incomplete, as it abruptly stops at Harold Godwinson s death. It was also in part copied from older accounts of the invasion and therefore is not a primary source. It is also non committal in its portrayal of events and the captions are for the most part willfully obscure or ambiguous (p. 4). In other words, it seems intended more to be a narrative than as a factual historical record. Exact dates are often not given for important events, such as the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 48. Selective Breeding Research Paper Selective Breeding is the process through which plants and animals with certain traits are bred together to produce an offspring with desired traits. In other words, the process in which humans choose the traits which they want in a plant or animal, and they breed them hoping for a plant which can grow bigger, or maybe an animal which can be stronger. Selective Breeding is all about the inheritance of genes and alleles. Scientists may breed individuals to their desired traits, whilst also being aware of possible recessive genes. Chromosomes which carry genetic codes for an organism, determine the features and characteristics of that organism. Each organism has different features and characteristics, this is when selective breeding takes place, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I am embarrassed at how happy I am, like some Technicolor comic of a teenage girl talking on the phone with my hair in a ponytail, the bubble above my head saying: I met a boy! But I did. This is a technical, empirical truth. I met a boy, a great, gorgeous dude, a funny, cool ass guy. Let me set the scene, because it deserves setting for posterity (no, please, I m not that far gone, posterity! feh). But still. It s not New Year s, but still very much the new year. • 50. China s Reform And Opening Up As the three FIE Laws were introduced at the start of China s reform and opening up, they serve as fundamental laws for foreign investment issues in China for almost 40 years. However, because of the rapid and deeper development of China s economy in recent years, these laws face a number of issues. 1.1. Conflicts with the Company Law Under current relevant laws and regulation, foreign investors have several options to set up their businesses in China. They can establish corporations in the form of EJVs, CJVs or WFOEs under the EJV law, CJV law or WFOE law respectively. In addition, they can set up limited liability companies ( LLC ) under the Company Law as well. Generally, Company Law is focus on regulating domestic enterprises instead ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These supervisors should be appointed or elected by shareholders and employees. As the FIE laws do not mention this matter, limited liability FIEs like EJVs should also comply with Article 52. However, under the FIE laws, shareholders meeting is not regarded as an authoritative body and therefore there is no provision or framework for FIEs to deal with the shareholders voting procedures. Although the board of directors, which is the highest authority under the FIE laws, can appoint supervisors, the appointment would be inappropriate and doubtable because supervisors responsibility is to supervise those directors . 1.2. Excessive regulation of foreign invested enterprises According to the current FIE laws, a case by case approval system is applied to all FIEs. Obtaining of positive approvals for investment projects from National Development and Reform Commission ( NDRC ) is the first step; Afterwards, approval for establishment should be acquired from MOFCOM; In order to operate the firm, a business license, which is granted by the State Administration of Industry and Commerce ( SAIC ), is required . Approvals are also required on every significant issues such as the transfer of controlled capital or shares, merger and acquisition, liquidation and so on.
