Learning aims: 

During this lesson, learners will be able to…
 Learn new vocabulary about animals on a farm.
 Develop motor- skills by imitating them.
 Develop their focus and attention while listen to the teacher
 Develop their creativity by drawing.
 Revise old vocabulary. (colors)
Learning focus:

 Vocabulary  Farm animals: pig, duck, horse, sheep, cow and
chicken.
Integration of skills: 

 Linguistic skills. Being able to understand what the teacher is
explaining.
 Creativity. By drawing they animal they want to.





Multiple intelligences:


 Linguistic Intelligence. Children will listen to the teacher while
she is talking about animals, and listen to the song.
 Naturalistic Intelligence. They will learn different things about
animals: how do they move, what sound do they make…
 Bodily – Kinesthetic. Children will move around the class.
 Musical Intelligence. They will be able to discern sounds, pitch,
rhythm.

Possible contingencies:
-Children speaking at the same time as the teacher
-Children shouting more than they should.
-They could get distracted with each other.
-They could be shy at the beginning since the teacher is
new.
Classroom management strategies:
-Explain everything as clear as possible
-Make them sit while the teacher is speaking.
-Tell them that we do not have to shout because our throat can get hurt.
- Ask them to ‘’close their mouth with a zipper and turn up the volume
of their ears’’ while pretend to do it with our hands.
Assessment: collecting information and reporting your findings
-Ask questions: What did you learn today? Can you tell me what your
favorite animal is?
-Invite them to chat with each other only in English, no matter what the
topic is.
- Observe them.
- Making sure they are pronunciation is clear.
Lesson stages:
Lead-in and Presentation
Timing: about 3-4 minutes.
The teacher will start the class by inviting the students to stand up and
form a circle because we are going to play a little game. She will say: Ok
students, let’s wake our body and our mind! The game is about the
song: ‘’Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’’. While we sing the song, we
need to touch the part we are mentioning. The fun part is that every
time we have to do it faster. The purpose of this is that the students
engage with the new teacher and catch their attention. Since the next
activity also has movement, this is a good exercise to ‘’warm up’’.
Development of the sequence of activities
Timing: 15-18 minutes.
Next, the teacher will ask the student what their favorite farm animal is
and if they can imitate. In order to create a trust environment and to
avoid being shy or embarrassed, the teacher will do it first: Ok now! I
have a question for you… Can you tell me what your favorite animal
is? (The teacher will try to use as much English as possible, but she will
accept answers in Spanish since it is a new vocabulary) – My favorite
animal is… my dog Angel! He does this. Now can you all imitate an
animal?
They have already learnt about different animals, so it helps to revise
old vocabulary. In this class, they will learn about farm animals.
Very good! Now I would like to introduce you to Old MacDonald, he
had a farm with many animals! But, in order to do this, you need to
pay attention so you don’t miss anything
After this, the teacher will ask the students to sit down in a circle and
relax for a bit because we are going to watch a video!

After the song finishes, the teacher will have the printed images
mentioned above; she will get one and ask them if they remember what
animal is. IF they answer in Spanish, she will reply: Very good! It is a
pig! Can you repeat it? ‘’PIG’’
The teacher will do this with the six animals.
To finish, she will ask them if they want to hear the song one more time
and sing it!
Closure
Timing: 10-12 min.
From the previous class of observations, the teacher noticed that this
class love to draw. Therefore, the teacher will give each student a copy
of this and they have to draw their favorite farm animal. She will go and
ask them the name and write it for them while asking questions such as:
What animal are you drawing? I love it! Very nice
This will be feedback for them and it will help the teacher to know if
they have acquired the new vocabulary.

(colors) Learning focus:   Vocabulary  Farm animals: pig, duck, horse, sheep, cow and chicken. Integration of skills:    Linguistic skills. Being able to understand what the teacher is explaining.  Creativity. By drawing they animal they want to.   
  • 2.   Multiple intelligences:    Linguistic Intelligence. Children will listen to the teacher while she is talking about animals, and listen to the song.  Naturalistic Intelligence. They will learn different things about animals: how do they move, what sound do they make…  Bodily – Kinesthetic. Children will move around the class.  Musical Intelligence. They will be able to discern sounds, pitch, rhythm.   • 3. -They could get distracted with each other. -They could be shy at the beginning since the teacher is new. Classroom management strategies: -Explain everything as clear as possible -Make them sit while the teacher is speaking. -Tell them that we do not have to shout because our throat can get hurt. - Ask them to ‘’close their mouth with a zipper and turn up the volume of their ears’’ while pretend to do it with our hands. Assessment: collecting information and reporting your findings -Ask questions: What did you learn today? Can you tell me what your favorite animal is? -Invite them to chat with each other only in English, no matter what the topic is. - Observe them. - Making sure they are pronunciation is clear. Lesson stages: Lead-in and Presentation Timing: about 3-4 minutes. The teacher will start the class by inviting the students to stand up and form a circle because we are going to play a little game. She will say: Ok students, let’s wake our body and our mind! The game is about the song: ‘’Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes’’. While we sing the song, we need to touch the part we are mentioning. The fun part is that every time we have to do it faster. The purpose of this is that the students engage with the new teacher and catch their attention. Since the next activity also has movement, this is a good exercise to ‘’warm up’’. Development of the sequence of activities Timing: 15-18 minutes. Next, the teacher will ask the student what their favorite farm animal is and if they can imitate. After the song finishes, the teacher will have the printed images mentioned above; she will get one and ask them if they remember what animal is. IF they answer in Spanish, she will reply: Very good! It is a pig! Can you repeat it? ‘’PIG’’ The teacher will do this with the six animals. To finish, she will ask them if they want to hear the song one more time and sing it! Closure Timing: 10-12 min. From the previous class of observations, the teacher noticed that this class love to draw. Therefore, the teacher will give each student a copy of this and they have to draw their favorite farm animal. She will go and ask them the name and write it for them while asking questions such as: What animal are you drawing? I love it! Very nice This will be feedback for them and it will help the teacher to know if they have acquired the new vocabulary.
