their “Hello Song” .Students sing this song at the beginning of each English class. They
move their bodies and their hands and say “hello”, “hello”, “hello”, “get up on your feet”
They jump and mime the actions and sing moving their bodies according to the rhythm of
the song.

I will tell the kids: “Today I want to speak about a visit in a zoo”
“Children, do you like visiting the zoo?”
Students: Yes!
I: Well today I will tell you about a visit the zoo. I visited to a zoo some years ago. It was a
beautiful zoo in Buenos Aires. Did you go to the zoo? Well I will tell them that my family
and I went the zoo some years ago. I will show a picture with a Zoo. Then I will ask: “what
animals did we see in the Zoo?” I will show pictures of different animals that we can see in
the zoo in order to review the vocabulary of the last class and learn new vocabulary and
wild animals. “Do you remember the wild animals in the jungle?” “You imagine that you
are in the zoo and you can see a tiger”. Then I will show a picture of a tiger “this is a tiger”,
I will show a picture of a lion. “This is a lion”. I will show a snake in the picture , “this is a
snake”, I will show a picture of an alligator, I will say “this is an alligator” I will show a
picture of an elephant “this is an elephant”, I will show a picture of a monkey, I will say “this
is a monkey”. I will show a picture of a bear .Then I will say “this is a bear”. Do you like
visiting the Zoo? I love visiting the Zoo. I will ask “Who can name the animals that we see
in the Zoo? I need a volunteer”. I will help students to name the animals of the zoo.

Possible problem:
Students might not know how to name each animal of the zoo with the new vocabulary. I
will provide the vocabulary and ask them to repeat the words.

I will tell the kids: “this is a large bag” .I will ask: “What animal from the zoo is in the bag?
In English. You can guess”. This activity is taken from page 51 of Teaching Young
Learners. Then I will help them to pronounce the animal that they want to say in order to
guess the answer. I will put on the table pictures with animal from the zoo. Then I will wait
for their answer. Then I will open the bag .I will take an object out and I will show a teddy
bear. Then they will touch the teddy bear. They will be happy to remember the name bear.
Then I will ask “What is this?” “This is a bear” Then I will ask for a volunteer to ask “What
is this?”
They will answer: “this is a bear” I will help them to answer the question .Then I will say
that we will do a mural including wild animals.

I will explain to the kids that now we are going to do a mural about animals that we have
visited in a zoo in order to hang it on the wall. They have to draw a wild animal that they
can choose and then we will stick each animal on the mural. I will give a sheet of white
paper to each student and I will ask “what animal are you going to draw?” Taken from
“Very Young children”. Page 41.Then I will collect each sheet of paper and we will stick on
the mural or on the big brown paper. After that I will say “please, children look for your
pencil case and put it on the table because we are going to do a written work” because
their teacher Sabrina tell it when they have to do a written activity. Then I will model on the
board how to do the activity. After that I will help them to do the work. I will walk around
and ask them questions as they draw. I will say “very good” when they work with
enthusiasm and very happy Then I will collect their works in order to sick them on the
mural, they enjoy when the teacher collects their works. They will be happy because we
will hang the mural on the wall. They love showing their works.

Possible problem:
Students might have forgotten the new vocabulary so I will provide it for them. I will make
them repeat it again. Some students might not understand the procedure. So I will show
them the drawings again and ask them to draw their specific one in their hand out.
