- 2. My artist 'Henry' - The aim of the music video is to promote his 'edgy, retro' image to the fun- loving, 16-25-year-old mass demographic who have a thirst for all things 'vintage'. I have selected This actor as he is very into retro clothing, Vintage bands like 'the Beatles' and playing guitar. He fits my character design also as he is an attractive, young man. This would appeal to younger audiences who are 'fun-loving' which is quoted in the brief.
- 3. The deuteragonist and mysterious girl, 'Emily'. - Emily is the mysterious girl Henry first notices in the café. The audience will be able to see their instant connection as the narrative enters a dreamlike state where he is imagining how great they would be together. She will wear 50's attire like Henry to match the intertextual themes of the video but noticeably will be dressed like a 'sweet' girl (Sandy in Grease). I have chosen Emily to be my main actress as she is a young, attractive girl who is very fashionable and 'indie' looking. This will appeal to the demographic given in the brief who are 'fun-loving' and mass market.

Background actresses - I've decided to have short shots of girls interacting in the café to stay intertextual with Kings of Leon's 'Supersoaker' as well as create more atmosphere to the diner and keep the audience interested by not seeing the same two actors constantly. My two actresses for these minor roles are 'Lucy' and 'charlotte".
