This document defines and provides examples of congruent angles, congruent segments, and congruent triangles in geometry. It explains that angles are congruent if they have the same measure, segments are congruent if they have the same length, and triangles are congruent if corresponding angles and sides are congruent. The document provides exercises asking the reader to identify corresponding parts of congruent triangles without diagrams as well as included angles and sides within triangles.

The document discusses identifying variables in scientific investigations. It defines three types of variables: independent variables which are manipulated by the scientist; dependent variables which are observed and measured; and controlled variables which are kept the same. Examples are provided to illustrate each type of variable. The document also discusses designing investigations by identifying the variables that will be changed, measured, and kept the same to test a hypothesis.
Jacob Riis was a Danish-American journalist and photographer born in 1849 who immigrated to New York in 1870. He brought attention to the poor living conditions in New York City slums through his photographic essays and most notably the book "How the Other Half Lives." As a police reporter, he accompanied officers on raids of unsafe tenement housing. His work inspired reformer Theodore Roosevelt and helped create institutions to aid the poor. Riis died in 1914 and is remembered for helping improve conditions for immigrants and less fortunate in New York.
This presentation concerns possible Expat 'failures' and how to prevent these failures. The definition of a expat failure is returning unexpectedly to motherland or be overcome by a sudden expatriation trauma. These failures can be prevented by mourning about motherland, adapting to fatherland and coping with acculturation stress.
This document contains contact and background information for Rohit Singh, who has over 2.5 years of experience as an Associate SAP Basis Consultant. He has worked for IZON TECHNOSOFT NOIDA since July 2012 and also did a 6-month internship there in 2011. He has technical skills in SAP Basis, Oracle, and various operating systems. He has experience implementing SAP projects and providing ongoing SAP Basis support.
This document provides an introduction to calculus by discussing pure versus applied mathematics. It then reviews basic mathematical concepts such as exponents, algebraic expressions, solving equations, inequalities, and sets that are used in numerical analysis. Finally, it discusses graphical representations of rectangular and polar coordinate systems and includes examples of converting between the two systems.
1. The three sets involved in 3G handover are the active set, monitored set, and detected set. The active set contains cells in soft handover, the monitored set contains cells to monitor, and the detected set contains detected cells.
2. The major difference between GSM and UMTS handover decision is that GSM uses time-based reporting while UMTS uses event-triggered reporting.
3. Events 1A-1F relate to changes in primary common pilot channel power levels and adding or removing cells from the active set.
The document discusses linear equations and their graphs. It provides examples of calculating y-values for given x-values using equations of the form y=mx+b. It also calculates the slope and y-intercept of lines from their equations. The x- and y-intercepts of lines are identified by setting x and y equal to 0 in their equations.

groep leerlingen in gemengde duo’s samen maatschappelijke
stage lopen.
Maatschappelijke Stage Plus.
In de workshop krijgen deelnemers inzicht in de gevarieerde
praktijk die zo ontstaat. Bovendien willen we deelnemers

3. Super- en hyperdiverse westerse steden
3
Amsterdam (2015): 832.563 inwoners. 51% uit andere landen dan Nederland.
Grote groepen Marokkaans, Surinaams, Turks en Antilliaans.
Ongeveer 180 nationaliteiten. Nieuw groepen: India, VS, Ghana,
Egypte, Syrië en Oost-Europa
4. Gevolgen voor maatschappij en scholen
(wetenschap)

Bouchra Ftitache (Nederlands vergelijking niet-westerse
met westerse kinderen basisscholen):
Slechtere resultaten Cito-toets. Oorzaak gebrek aan
cognitieve oefening en stimulatie thuisomgeving
Meer psychologische- en sociale problemen (w.o.
oppositioneel–opstandig gedrag, antisociaal gedrag,
Oorzaken onzichtbaarheid: culturele verschillen

Professor Dr. Maurice Crul (2015): longitudinaal onderzoek TIES [Super-
diversity vs. assimilation: how complex diversity in majority–minority cities
challenges the assumptions of assimilation]:
succesvolle tweede generatie. Zij trouwen met andere succesvolle tweede
generatie, voltooien veelal HBO/ universiteit. Twee inkomens. Kinderen gaan
(groot)familie
6. Verschillen tussen westerse en niet-
westerse opvoeding
6
Collectivisme (onderlinge afhankelijkheid en
verbondenheid) versus individualisme
(onafhankelijkheid en autonomie)
Verschillen tussen moederlanden
Opvoed verschillen tussen: a) platteland, b) bergen
CEO = oudste man,
CFO = oudste vrouw, bankier = vrouw enz.
School dwarsboomt opvoeding kind in grootfamilie
Niet alle kinderen hebben IT-apparaten. Deze staan vaak op
plaatsen waar opvoeders geen toezicht kunnen uitoefenen
11. Macro: een Grootfamilie school boven op
een basisschool
11
man, handicap en etnische afkomst)
Ontwikkel ‘all-inclusive multiculturalism’. Ontwikkel
concrete voorbeelden. Laat dat uitvoeren door de
werkgroep Superdivers van STWT
Geef het personeel les in opvoedpraktijken per land
(westers, niet-westers en Oost-Europees)
