Plants provide humans with essential needs like food, medicine, oxygen, and clothing. Plants have key life processes including nutrition, interaction, and reproduction. Most flowers contain male and female parts that can be pollinated through animal pollination by birds and insects or wind pollination for plants without colorful petals. Fertilization occurs when a pollen grain unites with an ovule, and germination follows as new plants grow from each seed through photosynthesis.
