2. What is Cancer?
 Cancer is a class of diseases characterized by out-of-
control cell growth. There are over 100 different types
of cancer, and each is classified by the type of cell that
is initially affected.

3. Blood Cancer
 There are three main types of blood
cancers:
 Leukemia, a type of cancer found in
your blood and bone marrow, is caused
by the rapid production of abnormal
white blood cells.
 Lymphoma is a type of blood cancer
that affects the lymphatic system,
which removes excess fluids from your
body and produces immune cells.
 Myeloma is a type of blood cancer that
specifically targets your plasma cells.

4. Skin Cancer
 Cancer that forms in the tissues of the skin. There are
several types of skin cancer. Skin cancer that forms in
melanocytes (skin cells that make pigment) is called
melanoma. Skin cancer that forms in the lower part of
the epidermis (the outer layer of the skin) is called basal
cell carcinoma. One of the most frequent cancer in
humans. The sun produces this type of cancer when the
skin is exposed to the sun rays without protection.

 There are four standard methods of treatment for
cancer: surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy,
immunotherapy and biologic therapy.
