Why social media? “Soft” reasons: The ways that people want to be communicated with are changing! Why social media marketing works for businesses. Linkedin Make sure your profile is 100% filled out. Establish rigor of Linking in with everyone you meet at end of each day. Once a week, post article on “what are you doing” section of Linkedin (preferably from your company’s blog, or an article your prospects/clients will be interested in)
Facebook If you are on Facebook: Be real and personable without being TOO personal (create friends/family group for “TMI” information). Invite clients/prospects, and interact with their daily lives. If you are NOT on Facebook: Create a fake account Create list of top 5 interests, websites Follow their pages on FB to experience
Twitter If you are NOT on Twitter: Next time you Google a phrase, go search also on Twitter:  www.search.twitter.com , and see what comes up. If you are on Twitter: Once a week, post a link to an article that your prospects and clients would find meaningful. Few times a week, retweet clients/prospects’ links; make comments on links.  Be conversational!
