2.1. Importancia del control de calidad:
La aceptación y credibilidad de los resultados que genera el Laboratorio Clínico depende fundamentalmente de la identificación de las fuentes de variabilidad, de su control y de la documentación que así lo demuestre, por ello el control de calidad forma parte imprescindible de la administración del Laboratorio en la búsqueda de demostrar y evaluar de manera transparente, objetiva y documentada la validez de los procedimientos utilizados para generar datos confiables.
2.2. Definición:
Podemos definir el Control de Calidad como el conjunto de acciones, mecanismos y herramientas que desarrollamos para detectar la presencia del error, esto para garantizar en términos de: precisión, reproducibilidad exactitud la confiabilidad de los resultados, y permitir la detección oportuna del error.
