•   This pressure can influence how the teen dresses, their attitudes
    and behaviors, and the activities that they engage in.

•    Pressures that teens face can lead them to engage in behaviors
    that may not be healthy, physically or emotionally.

• Bullying is a multifaceted form of abuse.
• It is negative behavior meant to cause
  pain or discomfort.
• It is a deliberate, conscious desire to hurt
  someone else or put him or her under
  stress.

• Bullying is also demonstrated through
  indirect actions like manipulating
  friendships or purposely excluding other
  children from activities.

• 30% of American children are regularly
  involved in bullying either as bullies or as
  targets of bullies.

• 15% of those affected are severely
  traumatized or distressed as a result of
  encounters with bullies or bullying.

• Cyber bullying or electronic bullying is a
  more pervasive form or bullying.

• saturates a victim’s entire social network

• far more damaging in terms of its lasting
  effects than traditional physical and verbal
  bullying.

• Tend to have average or above average
  self esteem
• Have impulsive, hot headed personalities
• Lack of empathy
• Have difficulty conforming to rules
• Have positive attitudes toward violence

  Bullying?

• Say Something
• Don’t bully back! It won’t help if you act
  like a bully.
• say kind words to your peer being bullied
• Be a friend.

  to a parent, teacher or counselor.

• Tell an adult what you saw.
