This document discusses how to build an e-network using social media. It outlines 5 key aspects of social media: 1) conversations build trust and social capital; 2) listening is important, through tools like Google Alerts and Twitter searches; 3) social media enables getting work done through project management and collaboration tools; 4) social media facilitates collaboration using wikis and creative commons resources; and 5) social media can help build movements by connecting people to ideas, leaders, and each other. The presentation provides examples of how organizations have used social networking and media tools to strengthen their work.
